(I know, you guys wanted a change of pace instead of ONLY Resident Evil. I need to think up a post for Jillian's but I picked this little plot up while I was at school. Jo, if you criticize, be nice about it...)
Sixteen whole years passed since that dreaded day in Raccoon City. Many survivors decided that it would be safer to stick together just in case Umbrella tried anything. Umbrella was finished many years before this point but another pharticutical company rose up. Osma Corp, headed by the "founder" Chip Osman.
Laboratories were abandoned, instead of making their presence of science known such as Umbrella, they hid their work in "empty" werehouses or docks, even under ground. One such location appeared in a small town called Shire, Texas. That is where the survivors have taken refuge and lived out their lives. Most of their children had thought of each other as siblings and were already teenagers. The survivors seemed quite old now, but its very little likely that they lost their spirit nor power....

The stroke of the bell signaled to the kids that school was finally over. Matt Anderson, the son of the town's sheriff and survivor, shot from his seat and blew out the door. Matt stopped in the front of the school awaiting his best friend, Jake. They practically shared the same goals and dreams and would do many things together. Matt was fifteen and a large nuisance to his teachers and adults. "Come on, come on.." Matt waited anxiously as a man in black walked up to him. "Excuse me, you're matt correct?" The deep voiced, calm man stated as the light haired boy wearing saggy tan cargo pants and a black shirt folded his arms. "Yeah? Look mister I dont want to be a part of your damn cult so find someone else to pester!" Matt snapped as the man gave out a chuckle. "No, no, I'm merely here to offer you a deal. You know the lumber mill a mile from here?" The man asked as Matt timely shook his head. "Good, that's actually a big lab, if you can go in and.. 'borrow' a few viles which colors are both green and blue I will pay you two-hundred dollars.." The man said as Matt, now interested, unfolded his arms with his mouth wide. "Two-hundred dollars?" The man nodded as Matt nodded back. "But what about the security systems?" Matt asked, knowing about labs from video games. "You dont have to worry. Tonight there will be an electrical storm, it will knock out all the power everywhere. That's where you easily go in and grab two viles then make your way out. I've even cleared a path for you in the fence." Explained the blond haired man. Matt nodded, this sounded easier than pie. "Fine... But let's wait till the storm." Matt said as the man nodded and walked off mysteriously. 'Maybe Jake would go with me, I can split the money.' Matt thought then continued to await his friend.

Jake waited till everyone left the classroom. "Cherilyn...." He then slammed the door when everyone left and opened a window. He took his backpack and jumped out. He was going to go hang out with Matt this time. "I don't want to do this to you..." He said closing the window. He started to run to the front. He peeked around the corner to see that Cherilyn wasn't there. He then turned around and jumped.
"Whoa...Hi Cherilyn. What's up?" He asked slowly making his way to Matt without her noticing. "Jake, I'm going to the movies tonight. You coming?" She asked sweetly and Jake just smiled and kissed her on the cheek. "Maybe. Depends on what I'm doin'. Promise to call ya up, kay?" He asked and she nodded and left. He started to walk towards Matt. "Hey!" He shouted walking up to Matt.
Cherilyn was his girlfriend and his parents didn't like it one bit at first but they've been together for long. This girl was cute and she liked Jake for who he was. They got together the summer before school started and they didn't have any serious fights since then. Jake looked good, had great grades, and he was a good kid.
He was still an only child. His mother wasn't a street racer anymore. She had quit when she was almost killed in a car crash. Instead of street racing she became some kind of criminologist...His father was still a normal cop and sometimes he would go out as a soldier and come back. His Uncle Jay was still an owner of a gunshop called outbreak, but now you could see the name all over the place.
When he got to Matt his cellphone started to ring and he picked it up. "Hey Kuya my dad wants you to come on over." Jake groaned. "Tell Uncle Jay that I busy...Tell him...'Damn it! I'm too busy.' " He said laughing. "I'm telling!" His little cousin's voice shouted before she hang up. Jay had a daughter who was 9 years old. Jake was close to everyone he came to know.
Jake looked up and noticed Matt. "Oh...Sorry." He said walking up the steps of the school. "So what's up?" He asked looking around. Jake then saw Cherilyn again. She was smiling and talking to her friends. She looked up and waved and he waved back. Jake stopped and look back up. "Sorry...It's just I love her, Man." He said.

"Wake up Mom!" The Korean teen stated quite disgruntled. "Agh! It's gonna be closed by the time you get up!" The teen stood about 5'2, and had many similar features to her mother, though her hair was much shorter. This was Courtney Kyvant, daughter of Ayami Kyvant. She was what you would call 'the normy'. She maintained a B- in all her classes, and tended to stick out of everyones way, keeping to herself. The mature Korean woman opened an eye halfway. "Well, sorry for getting so old. To bad your mom's a hag, huh?" She said, finishing with a chuckle. Ayami had turned 39 a few months ago, and was heading for 40. Once an ace pilot in the Air Force, she had retired at the young age of 34, her mother couldn't handle the nine year old girl anymore. Now she spent her days flying the news helicopter. "Mom! I leave school early because of a stupid appointment! I probably got an F in Ms. Xu's class because of that! Can you atleast take me to school so I can meet up with my friends?" "Alright, I'm getting up..." The Korean woman quickly slipped on a pair of pants, still quite tired. She figured this would be so quick, that she went out to the car, barefoot. Courtney shuffled hit up the seat next to her. Luckily, the school was only a block or two away, and they arrived in a matter of minutes. Courtney lept out, and waved to her mother. "I'll call you when I want to come back! Don't fall asleep completely!" The car drove off, and the Korean teen turned around. She smiled, Matt was there. "Hi!" She shouted.

"Yo." Matt said then saw Matt's cousin. "So.. How's yur mum." He said referring to Jay. Matt always messed around with Jay for the experiences he had from Jay getting drunk, it was odd how a man can be so mindless when wasted. Then Courtney came. "Yo!" He said then looked at Jake. "I have to talk to you." He said then looked as the dark clouds already began to cover the blue sky. 'Heh, the guy was right.' Matt thought then hastily turned to his watch. "Oh Shhh..." He then looked at the nine-year-old. "Shittaki mushrooms..." He said, covering his curse, then began to walk quickly, beckoning the others. "I forgot to pick Meryl up!" He yelled, knowing he's going to get a lecture from his father. Meryl is his little six-year-old sister. Night was still hours off so they would have things to do until such time. Matt wasn't the smartest person but he did know how to strategize and had a bit of street smarts. Matt was really popular, mostly for his looks and the way he acts. Though Matt wasn't as strong as his pop was, he was quite flexible from his mother and actually got an A in gymnastics one year. He remembered how Jake laughed, but Matt didn't regret it for he can do some good moves. Matt also fights alot, especially when someone tries to mess with his friends.

Jake didn't consider himself as someone who was popular. He considered himself as a normal guy who just lived his own life. He wasn't one to fight, but if it was necessary and if you got him pissed off enough then he would. He looked back at his cousin. "Hey...I'll have my mom pick you up...Kay?" He asked and then he called and left a message. "Wait here...I have to go talk." He then walked over to Matt.
"So what is it this time? Does it involve me going 'Muahhahahah'? Or does it involve me acting like I got shot to scare the shit out of you?" He asked laughing. Jake was still a good actor and he knew how to do a lot of things. "No, really. What is it now?" He asked.

Courtney wasn't popular among the school, but she still had quite a few friends. Perhaps it was because she knew how to strum the ol' Gibson moderne, the elctric guitar. She couldn't help but giggle, hearing Jake talk to Matt. "You know, guys. If you want to chat privately, perhaps you should kill the volume." (sorry, writers block)

"Ha ha, very funny Courtney, but I would love to find a volume button you." He said smirking then turned back to Jake. "Wanna make a hundred bucks?" He said as he walked a bit slower than he started. He didn't care if the others followed, as long as he didn't tell the proposition in front of them he'd be fine. 'The stage is set, we only need the actors.' Matt thought with a smile. The elementary school wasn't that far, that's where Meryl would be sitting on a bench waiting quietly for her brother.

"Sure." He said to Jake and then he turned back to his cousin, Amanda. "Jake, When's Tita coming?" She asked speaking a bit of tagalog. "My mom's....Whoa did she get another new car?" He asked looking at his mom. He shook his head and turned back to Matt and Courtney. Jillian smiled when she saw that he was hanging with other people. Cherilyn was beginning to annoy her again."So why are you asking?" Jake asked as he saw his mom leave.

"Hey, excuse us for a second." Matt said then pulled Jake off with him at a faster pace towards the bustling elementary. "A man came up to me today, he offered me two hundred dollars to take two small viles from the old lumber mill. I already asked him about security but he said that everything will be blacked out due to an electrical storm. Look up." Matt said and turned his head to the black clouds above. As they neared the school, Meryl saw them and jumped up. "Mathew!" She yelled and ran up to him while looking as if she was gonna hug him but kicked him in the shin. "I'm telling mom!" She pouted. She was sitting there for at least a half an hour after Matt was to pick her up. "Ouch.. No, no, no, dad would kill me, please dont tell." Matt pleaded as Meryl smirked. "Only if I get your cookies tonight." She said as Matt rolled his eyes and nodded.

Jake chuckled a bit and looked Matt. He lowered his voice and started to speak. "And why does the dude need the viles?" He asked Matt and then he remembered some stories that his mother used to tell him. "What does he look like? And why would there be security and viles at a lumber mill?" Jake asked quietly looking up. He then looked back at Matt and then at Meryl. "How's school?" He asked nicely opening his backpack. "Was is good?" He asked looking for a cookie he bought from earlier.

"I dont know, he didn't give me that much details. Let's just go, it's just an old lumber mill, what's the worst that can happen?" Matt asked, he knew that his sister wouldn't understand it so it wasn't dangerous to talk about it. "It was fun! I made macaroni faces!" Meryl interrupted, pulling off her backpack and taking out a big peice of paper which had glued macaroni strands that made a happy face.

"I don't know...I kind of want to go with Cherilyn though." He said taking out a cookie in it's wrapper. "Here you go Meryl." He said with a smile and then he looked back at Matt. "It's an old lumber mill...Yeah and the next thing we know it...there could be zombies and monsters there." Jake said looking around again.

"Oh god! Those are stories our mums and pops told us to keep us calm and occupied!" Matt said laughing. Matt had a very slight english accent which came from his mother's side. Meryl gave a wide smile and snatched the cookie without another word. "Meryl what do you say?" Matt smirked as Meryl spoke up again. "You gave me a treat, you dont have to smell my feet..." She said as Matt laughed. Meryl didn't have as much an accent but you could sort of hear it in her voice. Sarah had a strong accent that stood out in almost every word.

Lee spotted the two from a distance. He walked over with his backpack over one shoulder. wearing his faded denim jeans and white t-shirt. He was the Levi son, who somehow managed to survive the city 16 years ago. The mother left Levi a year after the incident leaving lee with his dad who had taken shelter at the small town since. He was named after Levi, but prefered to be called lee. His shoulder length black hair kept from falling on his face by a black string around his head that blended in, with two thin strands of hair on the left an right side falling down his face and deep blue eyes. He was nothing like his father. He was kind and funny. The only thing he did take after his father was his bravery, he also learned hot to fight off of him, but as far had never been in one. He tried to keep friendly with everyone although he didnt really have a best friend.
"Hey guys!" he said as he arrived "Whats up!?"
he turned to meryl
"Hello meryl how are you? I hope that cookies for me." he said jokingly
