Vanessa finally came over her blind panic when she found there was no more rooftops to make it to. Suddenly she heard someone call. She looked over to where the sound originated from and noticed it was at the rooftop she jumped from. He didn't look like he wanted to jump. She looked around and spotted a board. She placed it across the two buildings, it fit... But the board was extremely skinny and not at all durable. "Hurry!" She called oblivious. When told that it wouldn't work she looked around again. She then noticed the powerlines connected to the building that lead to the top of another building. "Lets slide!" she said, pointing at the electric cord, forgetting that he's not even on the same rooftop...

"I'd don't think, I'd make it across that, mate..." "Hurry!" "It won't work!" Stephen shouted to her. He forked one and pulled the fork out. He looked at where Vanessa was and she pointed at the electric cord. "Lets slide!" She said, and Stephen blinked. Did the girl completely forget about where they were? She did and Stephen just stood there a little surprised. He was beginning to think that this girl was not as smart as he had first thought her to be, but at least, she wasn't stupid enough to just stand there when a crazy approached.
Stephen noticed that more of the crazies were coming and decided that he had no other choice than to leave the tool behind and run. He dropped the fork, walked over to the chainsaw, and started it up. He walked over to the ladder and dropped the chainsaw. Stephen then picked up his fork and ran as fast as he could to pass the gap. "C'mon now! We don't have time to bludge." He said, making it across. "We're sliding, right?"

Vanessa watched as the chainsaw was tossed down to the street. "Why didn't you just toss it over here?" She asked him but he didn't seem to hear as he jumped across. Then he asked if they will be sliding. "Ladies first.." She mumbled and used the shovel to hold on to as she pushed herself down and next thing she knew she fell hard on the rooftop that was being aimed to. "Ow.." She said, rubbing her sprained ankle, straining a bit from the pain.

"Ok." He said, after she slid to the other rooftop. "You can do this, mate. No sweat...I mean that shiela did it...Be the top bloke you are and go." Stephen put his garden fork over the wire and grabbed it with his other hand. He gulped and looked down, noticing how high he was. Before he could think about not doing it, he jumped. Stephen slid toward the other roof top and when he got near enough, he let one of his hands go. He landed awkwardly and rolled a bit before getting up. "A little painful..." "Ow..." The woman said and he turned his attention to her. He saw that she was rubbing her ankle. "What's wrong?" He asked. The answer to his question was real obvious, but people always ask that question.

Vanessa stayed there rubbing her ankle. "I think I broke it." She murmured then moved it a bit. "No, it's fine..." She said and stood up. She took a step but found some pain. It'd take her a few for the leg to feel a bit better and her to walk normally. "Damnit. Who's damn idea was it to slide down power lines anyways!?" She complained. After a few minutes she turned to him. "What now..?"

"I think I broke it." The girl said before realizing it was only a sprain. "No, it's fine..." She took some steps to get better and after she was better she gave him a good laugh. "Damnit. Who's damn idea was it to slide down power lines anyways!" This caused him to chuckle and he turned to look at the other building. Apparently the things could jump, climb, and open windows in doors, but from what he was seeing, the crazies weren't going to try the wire. He saw some jump off of the building and he figured that they weren't that smart, but then Vanessa broke into his thoughts. "What now...?" "Any intelligent ideas on how to get out on your end, shiela?" Stephen asked.

Vanessa's foot still hurt but she supposed that living was better than complaining. He asked her if she had any ideas and she shrugged. "I don't suppose poof to a safer spot is an idea?" She said and paused. "No? Well darn, I got nothing.." She stood silent for a few. "You got a name Ozzy?" She asked, not having heard his name, only that he liked Ozzy and was Australian.

"I don't suppose poof to a safer spot is an idea?" "If you can call any other bloody place a safer spot." "No? Well darn, I got nothing..." She was silent for a few and Stephen decided looked to the building they had just been on. From what he had just experienced, he figured that the crazies were pretty smart, but as he continued to watch, he realized that they didn't know how to get across to the roof they were on. He watched some of the crazies jumped off the roof stupidly. Maybe the crazies were too...crazy to think. "You got a name Ozzy?" Vanessa said suddenly breaking through his thoughts. "Well, my name isn't Ozzy, mate. I'm Stephen Hill... And what might your name be, sheila?"

'Sheila makes me sound fat.' Vanessa thought to herself. "Vanessa Rayes." She responded and partially limped to the edge. "At least they make good street decoration." She mumbled as the crazies fell off and went splat on the pavement. "No more high wire acts, k? I don't wanna be the streets new paint job." She muttered and turned to Stephen. "If they're distracted in their little competition of who falls the fastest, we should go." She said, a little worried that they'd find their way into THIS building. "And that cockroach is around here somewhere... I'm tellin' ya... It's pissed as hell."

Now what's wrong with a cockroach? Last time I checked they were good oh. No worries though..." He paused and glanced at the crazies. Those things really wanted to get them. "I think we should move now 'cause its time for us to rack off." Stephen ran to the other side of the building and found a ladder. "It seems clear on this side. Can you climb down? We can take the stairs of this building."

Vanessa looked down at her ankle. "Maybe.." She muttered but after seeing the crazies' ability to enter buildings she didn't want to risk confronting crazies inside a closed in space. "Lets go before the big cockroach comes." She hurried him along. What she didn't know was that the thing with the retractable tongue was no cockroach, it was something much, much worse... "You first." She said, wanting him down there in case her ankle pains her and she falls.

The girl looked down at her ankle and then looked back at Stephen. "Maybe..." There was a short pause and he took this time to just look around. The alley that the ladder went down into seemed fine and so did the opening to the alley. "Lets go before the big cockroach comes." Vanessa said and again, Stephen didn't know what she was talking about. "You first." "Alright, alright. I shall go, mate." With his garden fork tied to his back, Stephen made it down quickly. He slid down it, if you could call what he did as sliding. "Ok...come on now!" He looked up, but he was careful to not look up the girl's skirt. "I don't think the monsters will wait for us..."

Vanessa waited until he was done then heard him call to her. She slowly placed herself on the ladder and it was painful. She slowly began going down then heard him tell her how impatient monsters were. She shook her head. "Catch me." She commanded and let go of the bars and allowed herself to go back, like a suicidal woman jumping from a building with arms spread but facing the wrong way. She felt his arms close in her and she knew she was fine. He let her down and she looked around. "Which way?" She asked, unsure.
(Filler, sorry Jilly.)

"Catch me." "W-wait! Hold on!" Before he could say anymore, she let go of the bars and fell. Stephen held his arms out, hoping to catch her. He didn't want to drop her and the thought of not catching her at all, made him uneasy. He gulped and when he did, he actually caught her. "Whew..." He let her down and then she looked around. "Which way?" "I'd say we find stronger weapons...We might be facing more than just the crazies and biscuits and tea won't stop them from harming us..." He coughed and then started speaking again. "After that, we can find a way out. I do not know how, but I'm sure we can come up with something along the way, right?"

Vanessa looked uncertain. "I don't think there is a way out." She said in a serious tone. "Me and my girlfriend, Myranda, tried to take a train out when shit started to get weird, but when we were in a line with like a bazillion people there were screams and then some fucking soldier guys started shooting at the crowd. Killing people. I got the fuck out, I don't know what happened to Myranda though." She sighed. She spoke as if nothing was wrong but her face shown regret at not having made sure her bff Myranda wasn't out too. "Maybe there's like a tank or a plane somewhere where we can just bash the fuck out of here." She liked to use hand movements when she spoke, occasionally flicking her wrist. "I smell like a musty loser, can we go now, please?"
