As the starship descended, Nitram readied himself for his final task as a padawan. He played with the fir lining as he spoke. "Am I ready for this, Master?" "Mmm.. ready, you are. Confidence in yourself, you must have." He nodded and stepped onto the frozen ground. "How will I get off Ilum afterwords?" "think about that, you must not. On the task at hand, you must focus." The white-clad man began to gaze about himself. "Welcome to hell, population, me." He scoffed and kicked some snow into the air. "Time to get going." He began to hike in what he hoped was north, in search of a cave. He had but a few machined metallic parts in his belt pouch.
_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
It was a whiteout beyond the comfort of the cave, that is, if you could call it "comfort". Granted, some of the hotels he stayed at in the Capital Planet were about equal. He was mining the final parts for his hilt. thus far it had resembled Master Yoda's, however the hilt was much enlarged. It had a somewhat purple tint to the metallic elements, however, and he had planned it as a slightly more complex model. The man had been meditating for easily 45 days now, but stopped counting a long time ago.
_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
A rock was scratched on the wall, tallying the number of days since the hilt was completed cosmetically. It's count is now five. His once comfortable wampa fur-lined survival suit was by now shredded in most places. He sat in a new cave now. Some unwelcome guests had taken residence while he was out hunting. Any searching he had done was back to square one. He just sat there, day after day, after day, until... "WOOHOO!! AHHH-HAH!!!" He had found one. He used force pull to get into the side of the loosely packed mountain. The Walls themselves were virgin, allowing for an easy find. The third and final crystal was plopped into place, at the topmost point of the snow-covered hilt. He sealed it and hit a red switch. A yellow-orange beam shot out of the handle, about 1.5 meters long. He hit a yellowed switch, and the beam smoothly shortened, with but a hiccup in between crystal shifts. He set it to the shortest possible length and measured it to .75 meters. Finally, a green switch was hit, and the beam weakened and strengthened. The saber was shut off and was clipped to his belt. Celebration continued for a small while before the sole cognitive inhabitant of this desolate planet sunk into a well deserved sleep.

"PING!" The new machine attached to the tusken's head sounded. "PING!" The machine worked much like a bat's sonar. It painted her a mental picture of the area she was in and what was there. It also attached very well to her head gear. "Echo...locator..." She thought to herself. "You know what to do, right Chiyo?" The sith who had saved her from the mantis creature spoke. "If you fail, the deal is off. But if you should succeed, you'll show have shown me you are worth keeping alive, and your training shall continue further." The tusken female nodded, as she hopped upon a vehicle that resembled a speeder bike, courtesy of her recuiters.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She halted the vehicle upon a hill that overlooked a small camp. The echo locator fed her information, and there appeared to be only five or so temporary dwellings. But these dwellings...consisted of tuskens. A hunting band that perhaps decided to pitch there. She would need to slay everyone, if she wanted to live. She detached her shock spear from the vehicle, and proceeded down. Upon entering the camp, she was greeted by them, as if she was family. Still being on Tatooine, she kind of was. They lead her to who seemed to be the leader of the hunting band, so he could estimate how much her share would be. When she was certain who he was, she sprung into action. Quickly drawing the spear, she charged him, and the plasma spearhead pierced his respirator, he would die shortly after. The other tuskens went to arms immeditaly. Before having taken cover, she took the leader's blaster rifle. One down, nineteen to go.
Ritalin looked at the lady and listened. "About a month and half...Hmm...short, but I'll be able to pull it off." Ritalin placed her hand on the astromech's head and felt gears turn in its head. She listened and heard irregular ticking noises. There were two extra tick noises between each regular tick and that worried her. She had lived all her life near machines and worked with them, even as a Jedi. Ritalin had gain a few abilities from being with machines. "You're broken." She said, staring into the droid's eyes. Its eyes were empty and cold, but she saw that it was broken. Ritalin closed her eyes and listened carefully. She imagined the insides of the droid and saw gears, screws, and wires, but then she saw a loose gear. It was causing the irregular clicks. Ritalin coughed and tapped on the droid's chest plate. The chest plate swung open and revealed wires, buttons, and other things that glowed. She pressed a button and the droid shut itself down. Ritalin placed her hand on the droid's head again and used her force to fix that loose gear. Once she did that, the droid sprung back to life, knocking her to the ground.
(I sorry, I miss-judged teh turn.)
"Why do I have to? I just came back from Ilum six hours ago!" Nitram's bunkmate lazily interrogated no one in particular. "We do because we do." Nitram rubbed his eyes. "What's the event this morning?" "A minor skirmish on the outer rim planet of Geonosis, between the Geonosians and a band of unaffiliated smugglers setting up a headquarters. The Jedi Order asked that you and a battalion or two of foot soldiers to help sort things out." a protocol droid cheerfully droned. "Alright, alright."
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
The port buzzed with after-hours activity. the concrete landing being dressed up for the approaching party. three Alliance Assault Crafts and a deep blue Jedi Starfighter lay in waiting. A little bronze and white astromech whistled to the Jedi Knight. "Yes R1, you can play with your toys just as soon as we get into the ship." "Would you like R1-D5 to be checked for damage before launch?" The same protocol droid questioned. "No, thanks. He'll be just fine C-5MO." "Acknowledged."
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
The space around Geonosis was relatively calm compared to the surface. as they entered sight range, a young padawan Nitram asked to be a secondary commander piped up. "Master Nitram, are you a master in the Perseverance Form?" "Yes, why?" "It appears that I might need some cover, all the weaponry down there are blasters." "I know you've studied it, just listen to the force." "Yessir." "Ki-Adi-Mundi is already down there, on the western side. We will drop on the eastern and fight our way to the center, where we'll rendezvous with him."
They vertically descended onto the murky red-brown of the planet, landing outside of the perimeter of the battle, but close enough that someone was bound to see them. Nitram pumped his fist forward and started running into the field of battle. The stampede of soldiers followed closely behind, firing once they crested the hill. Nitram activated the saber and rushed in head first. Djem So was created as a defense against lightsabers primarily, but it doubled as a strong attack stance, He soon found out. He was able to bowl over most all of the opposition, however, he took a bolt to his left arm. Heads, arms, legs, torsos, nothing was sacred. By the time they met with Master Ki-Adi-Mundi, most of his troops were all complaining that they weren't getting their share. In the end, what ever was left of the smugglers surrendered and were sent away with authorities.
The newly appointed Senator helped the female mechanic up to her feet. " I am sorry to now leave you but I can no longer negelct my duties" with that said the woman bowed gracefully to Ritalin. She headed out of the complex with the male bodyguard/soldier. When walking she reflected on the little she remembered. Bits and pieces of conversations she once had. The maiden returned to her suite. She had decided that today was enough. It was time to rest now, time to remember a past that could decide who she was.
"Know that much may happen here, but above all, do not forget this—you may trust in me. We cradle each other's lives, and what threatens one of us, threatens us both. And if you find you cannot trust me, trust in your training. Trust in yourself. Never doubt what you have done. All your decisions have brought you to this point. And now, perhaps, they shall see what you have become." Kira stood infront of what seemed to be a masculine figure. But the face was not as clear as she hoped it to be. It seemed to be that this man was cloaked in mysteries. One the young woman would like to decipher.
Another moment of her past had revealed itself. One that was more bitter then before. "And what is it you think you have accomplished? If you seek to aid everyone that suffers in the galaxy, you will only weaken yourself... and weaken them. It is the internal struggles, when fought and won on their own, that yield the strongest rewards. You stole that struggle from them, cheapened it. If you care for others, then dispense with pity and sacrifice and recognize the value in letting them fight their own battles. And when they triumph, they will be even stronger for the victory." Was she once a woman of military importance? Nonsense, she was her Highnesses royal guard and maiden. Then could it be she was more then that? It seemed she was a fountain of wisdom unfortunately she could not tap into that no more.
A third and final vision plagued the woman from Empress Teta.
Master Lumia: "You were deafened." Kira: "At last, you could hear." Master Klang: "You were broken." Kira: "You were whole." Master Lacula: "You were blinded." Kira: "And at last, you saw." This was more problematic then the last two. Because she was hidden from view of three Jedi masters. And the man from the first vision stood infront of them. She heard what they said, she responded in hush tones. Why did she hide? Where they not her allies?
When the senator helped her up, Ritalin thanked her and got back to work. She walked over to another droid and tapped it hard on the head. "'Ello there! I gots an order for ya!" She grinned and chuckled. The droid looked up at her and took out a touchpad. "And what may be that order?" Ritalin grabbed the touchpad and checked energy core, a new hull, thrusters, and a ne engine. She handed back the touchpad to the droid and winked at it, patting it on the head. "High quality...This is a Senator's ship!"
"Why are you so happy, Miss Lolita? Most of the time, you're a grumpy ole person, but now..." Before the droid could finish, she smacked it with a wrench on the back side of its wrench. "None of your buisness model I-890...." The droid shook its head and checked if its head was intact. "Never mind, but there is no need for much hostilty is there?" Ritalin rolled her eyes, and walked passed it. "I'm working on another ship's hull, tell me when the parts arrive, I should be able to start work soon."
Ms. Nabberrie had previously tried to contact the Regent of Empress Teta. A failed attempt ealier this morning. She tried once more before she would give up.
" Ah my dear Kira, we heard about your ship. I am sorry for the loss of your comrades my dear but I may have some news that could be helpful for your conference to the Jedi Council and the Galactic Senate, the astromech driod had recorded the type of starship that attacked your cruiser"
" Thank you Regent Jara. I thank you. I will show the council and the senate of this recent information. Hopefully we can identify who had attack the cruiser. That way they could be dealt with by the Reupblic".
Even in the hologram conversation between the two. She could still she the twinkle in his eye. The same look he had before she left. An eerie feeling enveloped the woman. She shivered lightly and signed out after another bit of talking.
Nitram's arm didn't ache. He barely felt it. They won, and that's what matters, right? He'll heal. "Requesting permission to land, bay 13, Four starships requesting routine maintenance." He steered towards the empty bay before he was acknowledged. they couldn't deny a battle-weary jedi, could they? "Permission granted. bay 13." he came in and slowed to a stop. R1-D5 whistled approval as a mechanic shot towards them and began once-over'ing the group. "Looks like a legitimate place, and they must be good. Look at that!" he pointed out, for no one in particular, a massive cruiser that looked in too bad a shape to pick junk parts off of. "hey!" he signaled to the grease-monkey. "How'd that ship get like that? anything I should know about in this little corner of the galaxy?" he polished his fighter with his sleeve. "don't know. Came in like that." "I'm gonna go over there and check it out. wanna come, R1?" the mechanic nodded and the clones gave a synchronized salute.
"I-890!" Ritalin walked around, calling out for the droid. "Yes, Ms. Lolita. What is it that you may need?" The droid aswered, rolling over to her with the touchpad in its claws. "When are the parts coming in? Oh, and do we have enough of the hull material to fix the ship up?" She asked, waving her wrench around. "The thrusters and engine should be arriving in two days...Energy core in about 5 and the hull material will arrive in two weeks, for we do not have enough to fix this space cruiser. As you can see, the high quality material we seek takes a while to make, and because it is in high demand, even first priority delivery will not bring it to us faster. Anymore answers you seek, Ms. Lolita?"
"Yeah, but I might as well answer it myself...Carry on with your duties, I-890." She walked around, noticing some more ships come in. She stood beside the destroyed Senator's ship, and watched as the jedi approached. "Hmm...Don't seem to get much of their kind around...Funny..."
