Meryl looked at the manual and looked through the switches and finally she found it. She remembered the red button by it was the autopilot, autopilot was Jesus in the form of a button but no use at the moment. She hit the switch and something moved on the wheels, giving them freedom to rotate. "Oh!" She pulled back another lever, the door/stairs came up into the plane and closed. Meryl pushed forward on the lever and plane started moving, quicker than she had wanted so she brought it back. Just then she noticed they were heading straight for the facility. Meryl gasped and took hold of the large wheel and turned it right. The plane complied and started slowly rotating until they safely had done a complete U turn and the whole airstrip was in plain sight.
Meanwhile, the tyrant wasn't giving Jillian any break. He ran after her. The difference between the Tyrant and Jillian was that the Tyrant was more-or-less dead, Jillian still had the physical needs of human, the need to rest. Fatigue had sent the tyrant one step above Jillian. When he got close to her he swung at her, she dropped to dodge but found herself in the snow. The tyrant now stood over her. He brought his claw up, but then his target seemed to notice something and jump away. Just then the nose of the small plane slammed right into the Tyrant's head, effectively smashing half of its head off, it fell into the snow before getting run over by the single wheel in front of the plane. Meryl fought to slow it again, engaging the breaks she had previously wanted off. When the plane did slow to a stop, the door/stairs opened and hit the snow. Now was Jillian's chance. The Tyrant wasn't dead yet, it attempted to get up but fell back into the snow, it seems even they can feel trauma from a hard hit.

“Aww…” She began, but as the plane picked up speed, her aww turned into an exasperated yell. “OH COME ON!” Jillian chased after the plane while giving out a string of curses and complaints. When the plane finally did slow down, she found herself slipping into the stairs and gaining a few new bruises. “God damnit!” She muttered, before getting up from the slippery slow and climbing up and into the plane. “Jake, Meryl!” She yelled and waved her hand at them to start the plane. Jake caught the signal and turned to Meryl with a half relieved grin.
“We’re good to go, captain.” He said.

Meryl nodded at the go ahead and pushed the lever to full. The plane started down the runway once again. Meryl's heart raced, she's never done this on such a terrain, frankly she wasn't feeling confident. She noticed that one of her hands was still on the acceleration lever, she flinched and put it to the wheel. The plane began moving quick, it was time, she pulled the wheel down, the plane started into the air but then crashed back down onto the ice. "Shit, shit shit.. Come on... Come on..." She prayed, the view of a giant hill of ice was at the end of the airstrip, if she couldn't lift it in time... She pulled down again, as far as she could. The plane picked up air time, longer than the first time until it was certain they had missed their doom. On the runway, the tyrant looked on as its targets made their way into the air and out of sight. Meryl fell back from the edge of the seat, breathing hard. "I hate life..." She admitted and placed both her hands to her head. She could feel the large knot she got from the tyrant's fist. "Oh god... I need an aspirin... Or a whole bottle of hard alcohol." She moaned then turned to look at Jillian in the back. "We're going to Raccoon City, I'll fill you in why after. You know exactly where it is, I don't." Meryl tapped a screen, it was autopilot GPS. "If you would be so kind."
When all was said and done Meryl finally took her hands off the wheel. They were slightly fatigued because she was gripping it so tightly before. "I still can't believe this. Bringing someone back to life... How old would you be now? As old as Hunk? You don't look much older than Jake. You don't feel like eating anyone, do you? Any psychotic thoughts about crashing the plane?" It was obvious she was poking fun from the tone of her voice, but there was also that hint in her voice saying "You're a freak, I trust you about as much as that Tyrant".
(( A little bit of babbling and we'll time skip to... RACCOON CITY! DINGDINGDING ))

“No. I’ll be a bitch and sit right here.” She grinned at Meryl and waited for the two children to give her the ‘wtf’ before heading over. “Lighten up you two. We ain’t dead yet.” Jillian entered the coordinates and grinned, happy that she was still alive or something or another. How the hell it happened, she wasn’t sure, but it was pretty damn amazing. “You two are the spittin’ images of your parents.” She finally said as she looked up at Jake and then looked at the young woman before her. “Wow…who knew I’d be able to see you two like this…” Her eyes grew distant and her smile seemed to have a hint of sadness. This was her fate. She had lived on, but the others, her friends, had disappeared off the face of the earth.
As if to save her from that depressing though, Meryl began to speak and managed to get Jillian to smile. “I don’t know how old I’d be. And is Hunk like 60? I don’t feel much older and eating? Actually I totally wouldn’t mind eating you up.” She grinned and shook her head. “But then I’d be eating Jack spawn, and I told him that anything he coughed out would taste like shit.” She laughed. “I’m not thinking of eating anyone, and why would I crash a plane, I’m not like how your Auntie Ayami was or your father….Sure I was the crazy one who slept lots, but I have not blown up anything unless I was supposed to.”

Meryl let out a feel chuckles. "Gee, thanks." She gave a mock grunt at the joke about her tasting like shit. Then Jillian said something about aunti Ayami and her father. "Auntie Ayami?..." She paused for a second, trying to get a face but it was difficult. She knew that Ayami was Courtney's mother, but Meryl could not remember the woman for the life of her. "Um..." She opened her mouth to ask something but closed it again. "Nevermind..." She said with a smile, shaking her head. She had given Jake a similar routine on the way to the base. Meryl checked navigation and they have officially left Antarctica. It was frozen out there, it was a wonder the plane had survived, no, it wasn't, these kind of planes must've been made for this kind of weather. Meryl glanced over at Jake, she felt the urge to thank him for bringing her to the plane but then she remembered the way of the world. "You scratch my back I'll scratch yours" He probably saved her so she could save him, they probably wouldn't have gotten the plane off the ground without her then might've gotten mauled by monsters or froze to death. So she didn't say anything.
Time passed. Meryl and Jake had given Jillian a run down of the events that happened. About Wesker being a "good" guy, about Hunk, about Matt and Courtney. About Yoko, about Liz's death. About Amanda and Jake's importance for a cure of everything that Jillian and her friends fought against all their lives. Basically they told her all they could.
5 hours passed. Meryl shook her head and stood out of the pilot seat, tired of sitting. "This is taking a long time... And now that I think about it... We get to Raccoon... How do I land this plane? I don't even know HOW to land a plane." She shook her head, they were over the US now. They probably had a few hours left. Meryl glanced at Jillian, she still seemed to be taking all of the briefing in, maybe she had questions, maybe not. "I don't like planes..." Meryl said, getting her mind back to the subject at hand. "I don't like planes at all!" She might've had a lot of Jack in her, but she did manage to take Sarah's lack of patience.

“I don’t know how to land a plane either…But from those flight simulator games… I guess you first slow the plane and then try to get a clear straight path to land on, put down the landing gears and hope to get the damn thing straight, right?” She grinned at Meryl and continued to listen to the girl. Jillian didn’t remember Meryl being so loud and talkative. If anything, she remembered Meryl being the little girl who was always so afraid of talking to her and it was probably thanks to her bitch of a mother, but that was in the past. “D’ya like helicopters then?” She asked Meryl and Jake turned to her.
“Helicopter. Is it that the Raccoon city story of how a licker knocked you off a helicopter and Auntie Ayami and Uncle Jack saved you?” Jake asked and Jillian nodded.
“But I wouldn’t be saying saved…at least not by Jack. That fucker tried to hurt everyone cause he was an idiot…” Again, her sad eyes returned and again, she masked her sadness with a smile. “Yeah, but as much as I hate to admit it, I love him… He’s my best friend, y’know? He’s just the guy you can’t stand to hate even if he did the worst of things… even if he was to cocky playing a hero to everyone else…” Her voice began to lower. “…but his kids…” By that part, her voice was barely audible. “ahah!” She looked up at them with yet another smile. “Sorry, I’m getting old!”
“No problem. I’m just glad to know that someone didn’t die…That’s always great to know.” Jake gave one of his rare real smiles that barely showed up now in days, but one couldn’t blame him. No one smiled much these days…

Meryl shook her head at the word helicopter and was about to tell her that any flying object is dangerous when Jake spoke about the Raccoon incident. "Licker?" She asked but they didn't seem to respond. She doesn't remember anything about Raccoon City, in fact she was never told the story of her parents. All she knew was that was square one that lead to this point. Jillian reminisced about her father and Meryl only shook her head. "I guess I didn't get his qualities." She said, her tone quite serious. The flashes of Jillian attacking her and the flashes of the people she fought with... But when HE was alive... She wasn't like this. Old memories ringing up in her mind, Meryl let out a sigh and walked over to the pilot seat and sat. Disengaging herself from their conversation entirely. Thoughts of her and her brother as demon spawn filled her mind, according to Jillian's commendments of her father, she only had her mother to blame... No she only had herself and her brother to blame. HE died because of her and in essence, HE died because of Matt. Meryl went quiet from here on out, keeping an expression of annoyance to mask her sadness.
3 hours later... "We're about to hit our mark. I don't know if there's anywhere to land... I'm..." She paused and took a deep breath, putting her hands on the wheel. "I'm going to turn off autopilot and get lower..." She pushed a button and the plane jerk ever so lightly. Soon enough the elevation fell. Ahead of them were mountains in the distance... The Arklay Mountains.
