All I could hear was the loud thump of black steel toed boots approaching a fallen flower. I couldn't let my mind drift, I had to focus on the present.
"You were a fool... A naive little slut.." I growled as I kicked 9mm away from the desperate red nails that struggled at the weapon.
"You had it all." I continued. "Money, fame, your son..." My voice came out deep and rough, not the normal calm professional tone I used to take down many others. This target was different.
Her eyes like pure saphire untampered by any jeweler were blazing and wincing from cap in her shoulder. I heard her murmer something, I listened closely and knew those words. "MY son.."
I pulled off the mask in which I had used every scenario I've been assigned, it was like a signature. My pair of charred onyx stared into those saphires for what had to be 5 minutes of silence.
"You were a fool." I repeated, trying to hide sorrow from my voice, like my whole life, I had succeeded. "What more were you expecting? There is nothing else you can have.."
Just by gazing at her I knew she wasn't going to answer, no, I knew her too well for that. She was too tough to tell what she wanted. I glared at her aggressively, but even that of a professional couldn't compare to the venom in her eyes.
---Time Lapsed---
"You know what you must do now." My employer, that damn feline-eyed rat. Yet, I knew this man longer than her. He was my employer, I was his loyal blood hound, that's just how the world worked.
Pulling the hammer back on the smg, prepping it to fire. I stared again into those beautiful eyes, the beautiful saphire was melting away as the tears sunk. For the first time in my life I closed my eyes and listened to that ugly shot... It reminded me of my life, what I've lived for, what I've done...

I was only nine years old when a man came looking for a "son" at the orphanage. He looked something out of Men In Black. Black suit, dark red hair. The caretaker seemed more than happy to greet him as if he were a king. She walked into the dorm and had us all line up as if we were in boot camp.
I remember my expression; annoyed, confused, angry. My eyebrow was creased. I knew I might be chosen to go to some boring home and live a boring life. Boy was I surprised. When the man came into the room he paced back and forth between us. The smaller boys were sent away leaving me and five others.
As if things couldn't get any odder he began to inspect everything of us. Our weight, height, he felt our shoulders and everything. I was getting impatient and sort of felt violated. Before long the man had the expression a president would have on whether to declare war or not. Would he just hurry up?
He then turned to the woman and pointed at me. "What's his name?" I heard him ask, but I forgot what she said. I don't even remember my name anymore. Then he said that he'll take me. He clasped her small hands in his and she looked entranced. "Umbrella obliges you for your patronage." He said softly. Just then I notice a small wad of green quickly get concealed in the woman's hand. He had paid her... Or bribed.
My eyes flared but that only made him flash an amused smile. It only took a few minutes and he took me. No paper work or anything, not like the other kids, he just took me.
In the beautiful shiney black van I was leaning on my head on my arm. "Hm... What should we call you?" He had asked but he wasn't directly talking to me. "Oh well, I'm sure they'll think of a name at Rockfort. That's where you're going. You're the youngest we've ever taken in, don't dissappoint us."
I was now thoroughly confused but I refused to speak to the man. An hour later, I was on a plane to my tainted hell.

On the plane the man was quiet for an hour. I was impatient. Where was I being taken to? This man definitely wasn't going to take me "home" and feed me milk and cookies until I burst like a balloon. Oh no, he had other plans. I just knew in.
I leaned against the side of the plane and looked out among the waters. My head rested on my hand. I sighed miserably, I never was a patient child, and this being my first plane ride I found it quite boring.
The man sensed my distress and chuckled. "I think you're wondering who I am and where you're going..?" He asked and I turned my head to him. I just realized I had not spoken a word to him and decided to let my voice out. It was strange to remember my voice, so high pitched and childish, it makes me want to laugh. "Yeah..." I said unassuringly.
The man let out another chuckle as he ran a hand through his hair. "I am Alexander Ashford." He said then let out a smile. He stared at me for what seemed endlessly. I knew he was hoping that I'd know him by his fame but I didn't, I just stared blankly at him. His smile faded and he spoke up. "I'm a descendant of the original founders of Umbrella Inc.." He said and smiled again but again to no avail. He shook his head. I could sense he was about to get to the more important, more interesting for that matter, parts of his introduction.
He gave me a warm smile again, it was scary to me. "You see, recently have made a special unit. We call it the U.S.S." At first I had thought he meant something about the United States, boy was I off. "It's a special force created by Umbrella to do their... Dirty work." This guy obviously doesn't have much experience with children, I barely had a clue what he was talking about. "We want to a test to bring in someone young and train them while their minds are still a sponge to become the most loyal and elite soldier to lead them." He lost me.
Upon seeing my confusion he sighed but regained an annoyed smirk. "You'll find out in time lad." I slowly nodded, my head was in a whirl. At least I know now I wont become one of those fat house kids they let out to the bathroom every now and then. I chuckled at the thought. Any way to comfort myself, it was by making friends with sarcasm.
"Look." He said and pointed out the window to the island. I looked over and saw it. Right then my eyes went wide with terror. I knew right at first sight this place was bad. It seemed to be under construction still. Some parts seemed fine though. A nice mansion, what looks like a base almost finished with construction, also a prison. Umbrella... Who were they? What do they do? These questions rang into my head I had no idea these questions were the questions I needed to ask.
Suddenly I noticed that the people on board weren't your average people. They began to stand. They had military uniforms on. No, trainee uniforms, anyone who has watched a good war film would know. I now knew what I was here for... The same thing they were. I was going to be a soldier. For what cause? I felt the fear deep in my breast but I took a deep breath. This was what I wanted right? I didn't want a family that would feed me until I'm fat. Who am I kidding, obesity would be a joy. And yet, I couldn't help but feel a sense of joy and excitement. Any other child would yearn for something like this.
I remembered one of the Matron's quotes. "If god gives you a lemon, make lemonade." I thought a second and mumbled to myself. "Sure." I mumbled to myself. Alex looked back at me thinking I asked something but seeing I didn't he looked away and we both stood up.
Minutes from now I will be descending those steps into my life. The only purpose I've ever had, it will all become clear right when I leave those plane doors. I will know my reason...

As I started down the metal stairs of the plane a small assembly of soldiers stopped in neat formation and saluted the red haired man to my left. Just how important was he? Should I be honored that he personally came to get me? I felt far from honored..
After we were finally finished with those flight of stairs, which seemed endless as if to convince me to give up and go the opposite way.. Trying to protect me, I found myself face to face with the soldiers. They looked like any normal U.S. military.
Behind them a couple more people came. They were in black flak jackets. Their uniforms were black. One came up to me and held out a metal gismo which anyone over the age of 4 would recognize as a gun. Yet this, it wasn't a toy.
A few of the casual looking soldiers looked a bit grim at them handing me this. I myself looked shocked yet reached for it. The soldier laughed and flung it away from me. He put the silver gun back in its holster, I just looked at him with a confused expression.
He pulled out another piece of silver and handed it to me. A rather large combat knife. I didn't bother to reach for it like a dog and I glared at the guy. "Take it." He demanded. I looked up to the red haired man only to find him gone. I sighed and reached for it. This time I was allowed access to the weapon as I wrapped my hand around the hilt and took it from the man's hands.
For a knife, this was oddly heavy. The guy who had given me it was looking at me as if a person would look at a child given some useless "interesting" object such as a piece of paper to an infant. I gave him a slightly uninterested look. He leaned in to my ear, I flinched. "Get used to it." He whispered to me and chuckled.
I had no clue what he was talking about, I felt lost now. I have a knife... Whoopty fuckin' doo... The man noticed my lack of interest and smiled. "Not a talkative kid? Eh, I guess that's better in here. Now come, I'll show you your new home. Heheh." The tone of his voice was very reassuring.. Yeah, as reassuring as a can of toxic waste. Despite my internal objections I followed.
Over the next year I spent training.. Day and night. They never quit with me. They shoved weapons into my hands, some I could hardly hold and when I dropped them they'd hit me with a gun and I'd try again.
I wasn't the best of shots.. They wanted me to be accurate so they shoved handguns, sniper rifles, rifles. Anything accurate at me. They wanted me to be a sniper.. I couldn't do it. They were beginning to get agitated. It wasn't until the third month when they finally decided to give me an smg. It surprised them to no end. My shots had decimated the targets. It was such a wonder that the next time I set my hand on a pistol I was shooting good. Not excellent but at least my shots hit the paper now.
Even after all this time, I was still oblivious to their purpose, to their chain of command. Hell, the only ones that get respect is that flamer Ashford. I may have only been 10 but that guy was a moron. Despite the respect I could tell no one liked him.
My year of training was over. During that time, I had become a more thorough hunter than a majority of those other soldiers. And every single member was over the age of 18. Alex seemed pleased.
One day I was suiting up in my training gear when Ashford entered the room. I hardly spoke with the man since I came. He was very "busy".
"Unit 148." He said and I stopped in the middle of dressing and stood up strait and saluted. "You are no longer a trainee. You now take stand as a full fledged U.S.S member. You are now Agent HUNK." I always wondered if my name was an abbreviation. I never wanted to ask though. I always spelled it in all capitals as it was given to me, but soon people got lazy and just capitalized the H. I don't even remember my real name. My name was Hunk.
As Alex had expected I kept a straight face. Despite my calm cool outer exterior I was excited on the inside. Things can only get easier from here. My thoughts weren't too far off. Training was the hardest year of my life... Everything came "naturally" after that.
"You have your assignment." He said with a smile. "Since you're still young and lack field experience, you shall watch over my children. Rockfort is a more dangerous place than you could ever imagine. You shall learn it all. Now get dressed.. You must meet your new commanders." By now, I was used to being thought of as an animal. Especially by the higher ranked individuals. The others seemed to respect me.
As I was gearing up in my training gear without thinking he halted me. "You're a U.S.S member now..." With that he opened a locker which I just noticed had the newly placed nameplate "HUNK" written on it. With that he took out a uniform and tossed it to me. I shrugged and geared into it. It fit well, though it felt as if I were gearing up for a war. He watched as I undressed and redressed into the gear. It made me slightly uncomfortable, but by now I was used to it. When I was finished he led me out of the barracks. I heard quite a few congratulatory words, a few grunts, and a few rebukes. I now realized where he was taking me as we left the training center, to the mansion. 'Alexia and Alfred...' My mind continued to note their names which I had heard in rumors from the others. I was ready for my assignment... But I wasn't ready for the information that was to come to me..

The mansion wasn't as spectacular looking from the ground as it was that day on the plane. My face kept straight and emotionless. I glanced over at Alexander who seems to have been gauging my reaction to the mansion. He looked dissappointed. This guy seems so intent on finding something I'm interested in.
A few soldiers stood out front of the mansion and when we approached they quickly opened the large doors for us. Immediately as I entered I heard the music. A girl was singing, and someone was playing a piano. The song was enchanting, and yet, it held a sort of eerieness to the mansion. It was scary.
It was odd, this place didn't seem like one people would live in. There was reception desk complete with a receptionist. Alexander seemed intent on going to her and I followed without objection. The receptionist was pretty, shiney black hair, in ner mid twenties and wearing quite the purple suit.
When we approached her she gasped. "Aww, he's adorable!" It took me a second to realize she was looking at me, and another to figure out I had one of those childish "innocent" looks on my face. I was a little offended, but I was a kid after all, I couldn't help but smile. Damn human reactions.
Alexander looked apalled, especially when he saw me smiling. He must feel defeated that his greatness wasn't enough to interest me but her baby talk was. "I'm bringing this newly appointed U.S.S agent to keep an eye on my children." He said and she just looked at me with disbelief.
I was still smiling and it was annoying me. I wiped my arm around my face real quick and the smile was gone, I went back to the innocent look. She giggled. "I'm sure he'll be a worthy enough gaurd for you children. You know where they are Mr. Ashford."
He nodded with a satisfied expression. Just what was the use to speaking to her? I shrugged mentally and followed the man up a stair case and to the left. We entered the door and the music was now louder. I still couldn't see who was playing. A few inconveniently placed slot machines were in the way. Then I rounded the wall of gambling machines and saw them.
Two blond children. The boy playing the piano, looking enchantingly at his sister. The young girl singing looking equally as enchanted as the boy. I didn't know whether to find it awkward or not but I didn't much care.
Alexander stared lovingly at the two children until they finished their song. They both looked in our direction at the exact same time. The boy looked at me and raised an eyebrow, the girl looked at me and an amused smirk crossed her face. These two seemed only a few years younger than I.
After Alexander introduced me as Agent Hunk, their new gaurd. New gaurd? What happened to the last "new" gaurd? "He's young." The girl mused with a curious expression glanced at me. "So you took my advice after all father?" The girl continued and Alexander made a fake cough and turned his head. Immediately after he turned I saw the boy, Alfred, sneer at the man.
"Well," Alexander started, "You two show Hunk the labs. Since he'll be following you two around you might as well make him familiar to the place." With that the strange red head left.
I was alone with them. The girl seemed polite enough but the boy's expression seemed too territorial. I looked at him with a blank stare until he got annoyed and looked another direction. "Please, come with me."
Alexia spoke like an adult. Her words coming out with a soft melodic charm. I wasn't enraptured by her but seeing someone this exquisite at such a young age is extraordinary. She led me to a large picture in front of the hall and hit a button. I immediately memorized the location. It's just a small indention camoflauged in the picture.
I followed her down a rather large staircase. We had to be in a basement of some sort now. She continued through many automated doors and I soon realized the purpose of Umbrella.
Alfred was smiling when the door slid open, a kind of mischevious smile, pointed straight towards me. I ignored it, after all, no one could put something over what my eyes were now feasting on. There were many tanks. It was a rather large room.
We walked up onto a balcony. Alexia hit some buttons as I stared into the large tanks, unable to see what was inside them from this distance. Suddenly the balcony started to move, in fact, it wasn't a balcony at all but an elevator. Neat.
When it stopped at the bottom level my eyes grew wide. Sparkling onyx eyes staring into the creatures of another world, or so I thought at the time. To Alfred's dissappointment, I wasn't shitting my pants or crying for mommy. I was interested, joyous. It was strange really. Nothing made sense at all.
As a first act of friendliness, Alfred nudged me. "Come here." He said and I followed him to a capsule. A green reptillian monster was in it. "My father said, I can have this one. I named it Alfie." I wanted to bust up laughing at the identical name but I didn't.
"Alfie.. Alfred.." I mumbled. Alfred seemed surprise I could talk. I heard Alexia walking up behind me. "Don't mind him. He's just not used to other people close to our own age." She explained to me and I nodded. I understood what she meant.
Curiosity began to devour me. "So how is this possible?" I asked and she chuckled. I could imagine her thinking 'yes, he's definately a child.' She walked up close to me. "Lets save that for another day. Now come, there is alot more to show you." I followed them for a good portion of the day. It turns out, that mansion wasn't the mansion I saw that day. Up a rather creepy hill was the mansion I caught sight of. This one was a residential building.
We climbed an aggrivatingly tall spiral staircase, luckily I had many pictures and the creepy statue to examine on the way up. At the very top we entered a room. It was a narrow hall that branched off into two paths. Alexia turned to me. "Hunk. Me and my brother must sleep now, we have much to be done in the morning. here is a guest room on the third floor. I'm sure you remember the shabby red door? Please, feel free to rest yourself. You have alot to learn tomorrow.
I nodded. The two siblings turned to each other and kissed each other on the cheek. They both went their seperate paths. once they were out of sight I left the hall. I started to descend the steps. I was so excited about tomorrow that I was practically hopping down the stairs. When I was nearing the room I stopped and thought dissappointing thoughts to myself about how I was acting so childish. I sighed in defeat and entered the room. Tomorrow is going to be a long day...

I didn't sleep very comfortably. In fact. I just took off my torso portion of clothes, save for my black tank top. I also emptied my pockets of ammo and what not. The colt was in plain view on the table in front of me. There was a bed but I didn't feel like sleeping, though I was tired. Instead I sat on the couch until I eventually dozed out on it. I had a bad nightmare tonight. I rarely got them since I came here. Things were always such a blur. I was in a meadow, I was much older than I am now. I'm big my arms were quite bulky and a familiar black uniform was on me. At least, I was quite sure that was me, despite the mask. There were two people in front of me. I could only see their backs. A woman with black hair and a child. They were holding hands. I felt the urge to run after them and stop them but as I ran they got farther away. And suddenly I noticed myself going backwards. A big familiar sign was behind me... It was the Umbrella insignia... I awoke with a start. A salty taste was in my mouth. My eyes were dry. Was I crying? Suddenly I noticed a hand on my shoulder, a small and soft hand. "Hunk!" The little girl cried. My mind was still in a whirl and I slowly looked up at her. She seemed frantic. "I can't find Alfred!" My mind came to my senses quickly. Act of impulse I grabbed my gun from the table. "Were was the last you seen him?" I asked as I quickly equipped the holster to my belt. I wasn't going to bother wasting time to put on the rest of my armor. "I don't know." She said and I sighed. "Okay... Is everyone else searching?" He asked and she shook her head. "I just came to you." Again I sighed. It's only been a day and already I'm burdened with doing everything. Little did I know I'd find myself doing that 85% of the time. If I was a boy with power where would I be? I asked myself and she basically answered it for me. "He's probably in the labs." She gave me a card key. "Go through the door labeled B2 it's a green door." I nodded and ran off. I should've told her to get others but it was too late now. I took the elevator down. I found it strange they wouldn't have any guards in the labs. I ran past the concoctions and other creations. There was no windows by the door she had told me. Not like the other rooms where you could see everything happening inside. I entered. The room was big and white. The electronic door shut behind me and the keycard wouldn't work anymore. I heard a strange laugh. There were windows above me. And around me were gates. Inside were.. people? A bunch of naked people moaning and braying at the gates. My heart was racing faster. I looked frantically for the laugh. It was high pitched. Suddenly I found it. That little runt behind controls. Alfred... "My father thinks we need someone to watch us?" He began and the other little runt came up with a triumphant smile on her face. To their surprise, and my own, I wasn't glaring at them. I just sighed and put my hands on my hips like an annoyed baby sitter. Alfred seemed annoyed by my mild expression. He growled and pushed down on random buttons trying to find the shutters. Alexia seemed to be trying to direct him but he wasn't listening very well. Pretty soon the shutters around me opened. 3 naked guys and a child. How more awkward could this get? They had scabs all over them. blood seemed to squirt out of one's neck each step he took. I drew my weapon. "Stand back!" I warned them but they seemed absent. Their eyes pure white. What was the use in reasoning with these things? Hadn't I just passed a bunch of creatures? Why should this deceive me. Suddenly the alarms started. "Bio containment breached" A loud annoying female's voice announced over the intercom. I fired a few times at the desperate beings in front of me. My bullets put holes in their bare rotten skin but failed to stop their advancement. '6..7...8..' I counted mentally, the bullets I expended. My gun only held twelve bullets and it was on my tenth shot I remembered my extra clip I failed to put back in my pocket. I even forgot my goddamn knife! I cursed and the kids up above were nowhere in sight. Two shots and three enemies. I figured about now body shots were useless. I aimed up and fired. The bullet was a fair shot as it pierced the monster's brain and it fell and twitched. I was about nearing a corner with the other two. One jumped at me but a step back and it hit the floor. These things weren't that smart. Nor did they seem to have good balance. Maybe I could use this to my advantage. I hopped over the one that fell, stepping on its back, and moving off it. I never kept a blind eye towards the one I had recently shot. It twitched but that was all. I backed into the opposite corner and aimed my gun at the one that was still on its feet. I aimed carefully and fired and another nice hit. It fell dead. Now I had to use my tactics on this one. If a gun didn't work on its torso then I doubt my hands will be much better. But maybe if I were to break the bones. Starting with what? Perhaps I should try the neck first and I knew how just to get to it. The man was tall like a giant to me. But the bigger they are the harder they fall. ( ) I walked slowly towards him until he was in reach of me. He lumbered quickly at me and I kicked it in the foot. It fell on its knees and I quickly spun around him. Grasping my hand to the man's chin I yanked as hard as I could to the right and the snap was signal enough. Suddenly it fell, twitching like first. The other was just laying there. "Hunk? What the hell are you doing in there!?" Someone shouted. I looked up and noticed Alexander with his two hellians. "Dad, he was playing with the switches." Alfred growled. "He tried to get the zombies to eat us." Alexia assisted. What total bull crap. Despite having lost in the end, I couldn't help but be amused at their faces when they found I was still alive and the zombies they had saved for me were dead. I heard Alexander cursing. I thought for a second. If I were to blame it on the Ashford twins I would probably be killed. I kept my mouth shut. I knew Alexander wouldn't kill me if I did. Not after what I just did. Ten minutes passed and the door was unlocked and opened. Suddenly I found myself unconscious after a nice blow by a thick black flashlight. God damn children. Oh well, perhaps I'll not be dead or one of those naked fleshy creatures when I wake up...

Suddenly I awoke with a start as my head was flinging back and forth. I thought my neck was going to break but before it got more violent whoever was shaking me stopped. What a horrible way to awake someone for questioning. My head was in a daze and I felt sick just from those few seconds.
I moved my arm to reach on my head but my arm didn't move. Of course, I was tied. Why so much? The blur began to make out the figure in front of me. It was Alexander...
"Hello Hunk." He said mildly. I let out a grunt, or a moan, I'm not really sure, in answer to him. "You tried to kill my children." It wasn't a question, it was an accusation. "No.." I defended myself. My eyes shifted around the room and caught to two kid's gazing at me. Alexander mumbled something of me being a liar. I knew what to do now.
"When I saw the monsters yesterday." I began my lie of an explanation. "I got overexcited..." I admitted. "I wanted to see the other stuff and I let them out. Alexia and Alfred just happened to be near me."
I watched the two kids staring at me awkwardly. Alfred had that angry face and Alexia smiled. I could just read their minds. 'Why isn't he telling the truth and blaming us?' Well.. That was what Alfred was thinking. Alexia knew my plan and she applauded it by casting me a pleasing gaze.
"Bull shit." Alex mumbled. "You were trying to kill them. Well.. That only throws you into a horrible punishment. Think of the bright side you'll have a new job now." He chuckled and the little girl gazed up at the man.
"Now wait.." She paused for a second looking for the right word. "Father. He's telling the truth. Me and Alfred thought he was trying to kill us but now we understand. After all father, he was only trying to appreciate our work." She spoke sincerely and passionately. I knew there was more behind this than just saving me. She was putting me in debt and I knew it, and yet, who was I to argue?
Alfred, catching on to his sister's plan, stepped up and agreed. Alex sighed and ordered me to be released on a warning. I had to steer clear of the labs for a couple weeks. As did the two children, they looked upset but their plans were more desirable than a couple weeks looking at the creations.
In debt I was. I wouldn't regret accepting their ploy to use me.. Nor would they.
A few hours passed and I found myself back in the mansion, fully uniformed but lacking a gun now, by the two kids who were smirking at me. "Hunk." Alexia spoke softly. "You did quite well disposing of those zombies." I chuckled at the word but regained my senses, she didn't seem to care. "Perhaps you can help us." As I thought, I'm now their slave... "Yes?" I asked softly and politely. "Not right now though.." She said quickly. "Now's not the time."
She placed her hands together as if in a prayer. "I want to tell you about the T Virus now.." She mumbled and Alfred grinned widely. It didn't have any trace of malevolence so I can be sure that I wouldn't expect any treacherous schemes right now.
They both escorted me to the room I fell asleep in and we sat on the couch in a neat little triangle. She seemed eager to explain.. Judging by the look on my face I was more eager to listen so she started.
"The T Virus, also known as the Tyrant Virus, is cellular based." I nodded, I understood that part. "What it does is reanimate deceased cells." She lost me. "Basically bringing the dead back to life..." She mumbled.
"Why do they attack people if they're alive again?" I asked with an awkward look on my face that made Alfred chuckle. She smiled and answered. "When the beings are reanimated they lose most of their memory. Their minds become stupid and they lose knowledge of how to do most things. Even simple things from opening doors to walking correctly." She chuckled. I remember, they staggered when they tried to attack me. "They do retain one memory that they depend on woefully, that is the need to feed."
They were zombies as she had confirmed a few minutes ago. Just like in Hollywood movies, though, I wasn't a fan of motion pictures. I nodded. "What about the green scaly creatures in the tubes?" I questioned her and her eyes sparkled. "The virus don't only react in humans but creatures as well. They react in a more positive notion though. Instead of becoming weak, dimwitted, decomposed, they grow bigger smarter and stronger. Basically the virus is like a drug."
Alfred broke in. "Like Alfie, they're like a new species!" Alexia glanced a smile at the boy and he returned one of his own. "So, they can be killed by breaking their necks and shooting them in the head?" I asked and she nodded. "We were surprised you found that out so quickly. Which is why we've decided to spare you Hunk. You are gifted."
I found it a real honored to be called gifted. She was a few years younger than I and she was already smarter than her father.. Or so I believed, now that was a true gift. I nodded. "The other creatures however, what we like to call B.O.W's, are a different matter. They've sustained more endurance. normal bullets wont penetrate the scales of a hunter like Alfie to the brain. Thus killing them that way would take a much bigger gun." I nodded.
She seemed tired of talking about now. I wanted to absorb more info but she shook her head. "In a couple weeks when we have access to the labs it will be easier to tell you more. But now let's go, me and my brother want to go to the training center and pay the soldiers a visit." With that we left.
A year past and I knew as much about the B.O.W's as Alexia did. She was so eager to tell me everything, but I knew she was hiding something now. I wanted to know but I'd figured she would tell me in due time.
One day something happened...

I had finally gotten more comfortable in the manor where I was keeping my eye on the two children. I never really know what friendship was but if there was a such thing as friendship them two would be considered "friends" to a certain extent. They used me of course but I was more than willing to let them. They even had me steal documents on new specimens. There weren't many. Me and two kids have talked alot about how we should just go on a scavenger hunt one day for creatures and bring them back and demand they be infused with a virus. What can I say, I was a fan of the B.O.W's.
Through our efforts we succeeded. Who knew worms could get so big? And the albanoid (named by Alexia) turned out superb. Who knew salamanders could conduct so much electricity. And they got big... FAST...
I was rather enjoying my life but it was only to get "better". One day Alexander came in with two U.S.S. members. "Hunk, you've done well with my children. However, you're now going to be a field operative. Lieutenant Green will be your commanding officer. And you've been assigned to a mission."
Oddly enough both Alexia and Alfred were both depressed to see me go. They got this older asshole to guard them now and his patience was quite short. It wont be long before I'm informed of the man's death in a tragic B.O.W accident. Just to think that same move was played on me.
I followed Lieutenant Green to the armory. We had to fully equip. For what? I thought. Then I saw them.. A rack full of helmets equipped with gas masks. They weren't needed for the mission but they looked so cool. I was dressed and equipped before the others. I walked over to the rack and Green spoke up. "Hunk, you won't be needed that." He said and I looked at him and my eyes were practically pleading. He shrugged. "Fine, whatever." I felt like a hyper school girl as I searched intently for one that would fit until I found out you can just adjust them.
I equipped the mask and they were more high tech than I thought. The room lit up through my vision. There was a mirror nearby and I noticed the red light shining where the goggles were. I was in love with the mask. Little did I know was that in the near future the masks would prove to be a trademark of the U.S.S. uniform, because of me.
We were all ready now. Just three of us. Lieutenant Green, me, and some guy who had mentioned his name but I had forgotten it not long after he said it. I didn't know what we were going for and from the look of the other man he didn't either. A half an hour later we were on a plane.
"Right." Green started, he was finally going to tell us our mission. "A week ago we were informed that a Professor Leyden, at our Paris lab facility has been attempting to sell very crucial information on the streets. Today we have a simple mission. Wait until the man is asleep, infiltrate his home and kill him and his family. If anyone is to witness what was done, we must kill them too."
"Right." The man confirmed next to me. Might as well also. "Right." The gas mask made my voice deeper than it was. I liked it. It seemed to bother Green though but I didn't much care, he didn't care enough to do anything about it either.
Eight hours later we finally landed. we exited the plane and quickly went into the lab facility. As far as we knew the professor knew nothing of Umbrella knowing his treachery, this should make things easier. It was about 8 am. We would need to wait about another 5 hours before going in.
Finally the hour came. We left the simple military center in the lab facility and we were driven to the house. The car was silent and smooth. A few minutes drive and we were there. We exited the back of the vehicle and silently jumped the man's fence into the back yard.
Green made some familiar hand signs that told the other man to go first. He did so. All our weapons had silencers on them. I was content with this and liked the feel and look of the silencer. It was.. balanced.
I was eager but calm. Finally we entered through the sliding door. (Not first without using a diamond cutter to cut a hand-sized hole into the glass so we could reach into the lock.) We were finally in the house. Boy this man seemed like any average person. The house was clean there were some toys lying around.
Green directed me to secure downstairs. The other two would head upstairs where the rooms would obviously lie. I nodded and entered into the kitchen flinging my gaze silently from one corner to the other. Nothing to note. I moved out into the living room and a nice plasma television stood but I took no notice of that. The room was likewise empty. Suddenly a loud bang. No, two loud bangs.
My heart began to race but I calmed myself. I knew my team were dead. It was obvious that it wasn't my team's shots. They had silencers. I hid behind that television screen. It was big enough to fully hide my small frame. The sounds of footsteps were heard. The man was brandishing a fucking shotgun.
He gazed around the room and seemed aware of something behind a curtain. He walked slowly over to it and moved the curtain. About this time I could hear more feet, probably the rest of the family. I had already unsheathed my knife and extremely silently I went behind the man. I couldn't reach his head. I was too small so I jabbed my knife into the man's leg, into his muscle and he fell to his knees with a yelp. I seized his head and through sheer instinct I slid my knife across his neck. He didn't die quickly. He gasped and gurgled as the blood poured freely. He stared into the deep red that were my veiled eyes. That was the last thing he saw. A demon's eyes.
Hearing more footsteps I see the woman enter and gasp. I fired my gun and she fell dead quickly. My heart was racing but I was full of adrenaline. I won.. I win.. My teammates weren't able but I won. I walked out of the living room and saw something crouched in the corner. It was a child. No older than 9.
I suddenly have a flashback of Green reminding me that I had to kill the family and witnesses. This boy was both. I felt a little merciful. I wanted to shoot him but what if my bullet strayed and hit the boy in a non-lethal area? That would be terrible. I drew my knife and I was still indecisive on how I would end this boy's life.
My knife had a little ring at the bottom of the hilt for further grip. I put my index finger in that hole and began to twirl the knife as I pondered how I should end it. Little did I know in the boy's eyes it looked like I was playing with him. I was intimidating. Small but with red eyes and a large blade twirling in my fingers. My boots making small noise as I slowly stepped towards the corner the boy was crouched in.
I wasn't happy but this was oddly satisfying to me. I continued my advancement and it looked as if the boy was going to run. "Don't think about it." My deep voice rained in. "If you run it might be painful." I warned and the boy just let it happen. I cut his throat but the boy's skin was soft and I applied more than needed force, I nearly decapitated the poor boy.
I wasn't stupid. I went upstairs to where my dead comrades lay. I pulled the unknown man by the boot with much effort until I came to a window that lead to the back yard. I opened it and shoved the dead man through it as he fell to stories. I did the same with green. Then I shut the window, ran down the stairs. I took out my radio and radioed in to the man in the car. He exited the video climbed the gate and assisted with the bodies.
Only an hour and we were out of there. I had stayed in Paris for a week to make sure that nothing traced back to me. How would it? To the real world I didn't exist. Only in Umbrella did I. After that week I was heading back home. To Rockfort.
Once there I was welcomed with open arms as one might say. I was the gossip of the island. It was then that I would be assigned a group of my own. Many missions were up now. I just had to choose...

Two years passed. I've been on many missions. I was successful in every one of them. Unfortunately, I had the "luck" to be the last alive in most. They just can't keep up with me. In response I gained a nickname... Or... Another nickname so to say. I became known as Mr. Death.
It was the day a letter came in addressed to Miss Ashford. Oddly enough they wanted her to be the lead scientist. Somewhere in a town called Raccoon City. Spencer Mansion? Sure.. Spencer's name was familiar. That day I was approached by Alexia...
She had explained to me her plans and goals. Why? Suddenly I figured out why. She wanted me to go with her. I accepted of course. I was shocked to hear Alfred wouldn't be coming with. Alfred wasn't too happy about it...
I had to dress in civilian clothes. How childish I looked. And I felt strange... Naked almost. Then like a normal week I was on another plane. Alexia looked excited, calm, and yet I can sense the sadness she's feeling right now from being parted from Alfred. It was fine though.
I wasn't even allowed a gun. We left the plane and went into the casual airport. From there a black van rolled up and Alexia was let in. I took my place in front seat to the right of a female driver. She was far from cute, I'll refrain from going into details.
As we drove in the small city I was leaning into my window watching the world around me. We passed some schools. I saw a black haired boy making himself look stupid in front of friends. I wondered how it would feel if I was that kid. I shook my head, what a silly thought. I didn't regret this life, after much trial it is my calling.
This wretched town will end up being the heart of my life in the future. Things will revolve around it and soon lead to the downfall of my employers. Who knew that this small of a town could grow so important to someone. I shook my head again. Alexia was looking at me. I could feel those blue eyes on me. I straightened up in my seat and focused on the cars in front of us.
We left the city fully now. The city was surrounded by walls. I wondered why. Soon enough, going on a very unnoticeable path of a dirt road out into what Alexia informed me was the Arklay Mountains.
A long and boring drive passed until we were in front of a mansion. It was difficult to notice at first but there it was. I left my seat and opened the door for Alexia so she could leave.
It didn't take long for them to show me around the mansion as Alexia was briefed. I was introduced to a few people. One seemed to know me from rumors. A very calm gentleman with slicked blond hair. He also appeared to have a sunglasses fetish. His name was Albert Wesker.
I also met another man. His hair was blond but it was much darker than the other. His name was William Birkin. I felt honored in his presence. He seemed to lower me though. He looked at me as though a child and refused to believe I was Umbrella's "Mr. Death." Wesker on the other hand seemed to see more than just a child in me.
I was allowed back into my uniform and boy did I feel more comfortable now that I got out of those wretched blue jeans and striped red and yellow shirt. I happily put on my gas mask. Next time I saw Birkin.. (two hours after meeting him previously.) He addressed me as a soldier.
I stayed here for a couple years. Of course, I had my missions. Seems Raccoon City was full of people who worked with Umbrella, in consequence there were many within the city who wanted to try and be sneaky.. Only I'm sneakier. I still failed to fail any mission and likewise my selections of members were dwindling yet they still thrown command at me. Why? Okay, I'll admit I couldn't do some of my missions without assistance... Even if said assistance died not long after assisting, but why can't I meet someone as fast as me?

I was now twelve years old. I wasn't too sure but I was sure I had been in this job for about three years now. They didn't celebrate birthdays and I didn't mind too much. I remember this one guy offering me a cigarette. I refused, those things smelt horrible. Besides, I wasn't in this job to be cool. I was in it to do the job. Can't really do the job with a dying lung eh?
Dreams have been occurring every so often. I hated them. They were of the woman and child. The child had black hair. Me? And my mother? No.. I vaguely remember my mom, she wasn't as beautiful. And the reason for me being an adult in the dreams didn't make much sense either. Like always I shrugged it off and got dressed.
I noticed the paper on floor. This one had been sealed with red wax. This meant this was meant for me, something a bit dirtier than my usual work. I flipped through the thin, neatly creased paper and read the message.
Apparently an anti-Umbrella extremist has resorted to terrorism to getting the truth out. The man's identity has remained unknown from the police and yet the man have taken to kidnappings. Instead of ransom notes the notes state that their parents will never see their children again. He would also give clues to the whereabouts of Umbrella labs and installations unknown to the public.
We have a positive location on the man's hideout. Apparently the issue of sending troops in to eliminate him in gunfire was rejected. They want someone, me, to go in undercover as another victim of his. This man is deemed highly dangerous for he is a former member of the USS, and not just any member, one of the squad captains.
Finally, a worthy challenge. At least, I was thinking that at this point but I had no idea of what was to come.
I dressed into civilian clothes. And again I had to see that childish figure staring back. No scars, nothing to make me look older. I was a child and I hated it. Umbrella was loving it, anyone else and this job would be a failure. After all, if we rush in it could mean harm for children he's possibly keeping. Umbrella won't be responsible for the death of the children. After all, the police know of Umbrella's UBCS unit. (Which Umbrella feigns a militia unit.)
Luckily I didn't have to ride on planes, I was beginning to hate them. And I wasn't a very big fan of heights either, but I could tolerate it.
We just rode straight to a side block. It was night. I was given a back pack full of books. I was told of an address. They drove off.
I stood at the corner for a couple minutes working myself into emotion. In a few minutes fake tears were rolling down my face. I walked rather quickly up to the door of my target and rang the doorbell.
I noticed blinds move at the corner of my eyes but didn't make any move to acknowledge it. The rather big man opened the door with a gentle smile on his face. "What are you doing out this late?" He asked with concerned. Obviously he was trained in the art of decieval as well, for any child could mistake him to be a nice man.
"I-I'm.. I'm lost." I got out between sobs. My eyes were blurry but I kept them innocent and afraid. Also cautious.
"Aw, well come in and I'll let you call home." I nodded, my body was shaking. Not even I knew I was this good. I walked in hesitantly and he showed me the phone. No sign of aggression yet. I picked up the phone and dialed a number. A USS operative answered, my fake father. I spoke on and on as the line was received with outbursts of anger and emotion.
I calmed my act a bit and hung up the phone. "Where do you live and I'll take you home?" The man smiled. "5432 Evergreen road." I said with a hesitant voice, this time I wasn't faking it. Could we have gotten the wrong guy or was this another act? If that's the case why would he need more information rather than to just take me.
Having his information the man grabbed me. Boy did I underestimate him. He drug me like I was nothing and tossed me into the cellar. He quickly shut and locked the door. I feigned surprise and fear as I banged on it yelling. Then I calmed myself and explored the place. My mind was blown. There were alot of children here. All of them in chains, a few looked dead but upon closer inspection they were beaten but still alive. They couldn't speak but the looks of fear were in their eyes. There had to be thirty children here! How could the cops not have a lead here?
My expression kept professional. As if these kids had it bad, but they're just lucky I was on their side. Why didn't he lock me up like he shackled these other kids. A few hours later and I could assume it was midnight. the place was pitch black. No food was given. These kids must be starved. I, myself, was getting a bit famished.
Soon enough the door burst open. Instead of food the man was undressed. My eyes were wide. What was this? What was he doing? In my shock I was unable to move and he grabbed me. I had a knife but that was all. And that was in my shoe. How could I get it now?
He pushed me up against a table and tied me in, I was leaning though. I could move my body. My legs were spread which meant a further reach from my knife. But what he didn't know was that this thin rope would be nothing when enough of my strength was applied but now wasn't the time yet. He was armed with a taser I noticed, and it was placed up against my shoulder.
Suddenly he started groping me in places I was usually sensitive. What was he doing? I was never taught about pedophiles before. Nor rape. In fact I was still quite a stranger to the word sex. The guys tried to stray from those words with me. They don't want me to get involved with someone and injure my career.
Due to my shock and horror of what was going on I forgot that I had to be in character. I was calm, cool, and planning my moves. Not hysterical or flailing. The only times I moved was when I was testing the knots. This guy wasn't good at it.
Suddenly I felt a draft as I felt the tan cargo pants slide down my waste. Oh god, what was he doing? Then the cotton from my briefs and I was totally exposed now. How humiliating this is to me.
My mind was picturing the children in the room laughing at me but that all drowned out. For what happened next could drown out anything. A sharp pain in my back as it went up through my chest. I thought he had shocked me but this wasn't coming from my torso. He was behind me. And he was violating me in every sense of the word.
I was beginning to get scared. I could hear his ecstatic groans. The children were crying, were they subjects of this torture as well? My eyes narrowed through my own cries. No tears were coming but it was hard to stay silent when he was doing this. I gripped my hands into the knot. As if nothing could go more smoothly this man was gaining so much pleasure that his grip released on the taser and he dropped it. I could feel that object pull out of me as he cursed and went to bend down. This was the best chance I would ever get.
I pulled hard on the knots and they pulled free with one arm. And it worked for the foot that had my knife as well. First things first, I wasted no time in shoving the back of my Van's sneaker into his face. The man was stunned and shocked it bought me time. I pushed my foot up and I had to dislocate my shoulder practically to get my arm around to reach into it and pull out he knife. About this time he was beginning to understand what just happened.
Again I was quicker than he was and had already cut through the rope that held me. As my feet were stable I felt dizzy and the pain wasn't stopping but I didn't let it go to my head. He was just about to grab the taser. I reached for it as well and got it before him. Taking time to shove the current into his stomach. He lay twitching. Not even close to dead but stunned.
He was naked and I saw his torture tool still in its erected state. I wanted revenge. I shocked him again and he yelped but was unable to bring himself to move. I pulled up my pants with effort before plunging another couple hundred of volts into him.
I was limping. He was scared. I could see it in his eyes. I don't know the look on my face, but this man looked more intimidated by my childish face than the boy's look of terror when I approached him with my mask.
I twirled the knife in my fingers as I had done to the boy. I was that angry. I held his slimy tool up. He screamed and prayed and cringed but couldn't do a thing. I smiled and with one swoop I was holding the detached instrument in my hand.
It was now I learned that all the major blood vessels were in the penis. I could swear more blood was flowing now than when I slit many throats. He screamed but nothing came out but whispers and gurgles. I suddenly became aware I was smashing his detached instrument in my grip. I tossed it at him. I watched, and watched, and watched until he drew his last breath. It was satisfying.
I limped my way and began to cut through rope and using the keys Mr. Jolly no-penis was holding to unlock shackles. I limped my way out of the cellar, kids cheering, crying, and hugging. I was so dizzy. I limped over to the phone and dialed my fake home number.
"Yes, son?" Replied the man on the other line. "Mission accomplished, dad." My voice was deep and furious. The other line couldn't find words to say to my tone. Only a few minutes passed and the USS picked me up. Then the police were called. I first caught my glimpse of the Russian UBCS troops entering the building. Do all the work, take the fall, and they get all the credit, ah well.
UBCS didn't get as much recognition as I expected since their methods of dispatching the child napper were deemed "inhumane". Heheh, piss heads. I was limping for two weeks. People sympathized with me. this was the first time I was ever shown sympathy. My name was only growing higher in the world of Umbrella and yet it never would leak out.

It's been a couple months since that mission. Either they didn't have any new missions for me or they decided to give me a break. All I can say was that I was bored as hell. I woke up one morning and dressed into my uniform. I looked at my doorstep and sighed, nothing.
I shook my head and was about to open my door when I heard tapping coming from it. No one comes to my door. I walked over to the door and unlatched it then opened it a small crack. Despite my youth, I was smart enough to know I could be hated and assassinated. I saw the glare of sun glasses and my apprehensive expression changed calmly. I opened the door the rest of the way.
Standing in the door way was another man I thought of as a friend. (Maybe not as much as Alexia and Alfred but that could be due to age difference.) The man gave me a smile. Was that a present in his hands...? I suddenly felt annoyed but didn't show it. "Merry Christmas!" He said with a smile.
I gazed at the blue paper and cocked an eyebrow. "It's October." I reminded him. "And since when did I celebrate Christmas?" I wasn't one to take to religion at all. Most of my religion come from my rare outbursts of 'Oh my god' and 'Jesus Christ' But that was it.
He smiled. "I know but you wont be here in December so I thought I'd give it to you now." He said calmly and handed me the rather large box. It was heavy. He then bade me farewell. He had the smirk on his face, he wanted something, or was expecting something. fI closed my door and sat the box on my bed.
It had to be at least ten minutes I was standing there glaring at the package. What's the use of complaining? I don't complain, I'm better than that. I walked over to it and drew my knife as I carefully, and rather slowly, carved into the paper and removed it. A plain box. Oh yay, something to smother someone with.
I shook my head and opened the box and I was surprised to see that I would like my gift. My eyes went wide. It was a sub machine gun. And not just any sub machine gun. This thing was modified for someone my size. It was lighter than what if felt while in the box. (It could also just seemed heavier because I underestimated the weight at first.) So many modifications. I pointed it at my wall. My arm wasn't even flinching, I was comfortable, and it felt heavenly to me.
I was so intrigued by my gift I didn't seem to notice the other little surprise in the box. Finally I noticed it when I finally got bored of marveling over the weapon. An envelope with the stamp. Wesker did say I wasn't going to be here for December. I picked it up and read through it. My mouth shot open.
I wont reveal most of the contents. They wanted me to go with Alexia to a base out in the Antarctic. Ant, I had to chuckle at that. I knew of the Ashford twin's love for ants.
Antarctic? I wasn't too fond of cold but, like heights, I can tolerate it. A couple hours passed and they tossed alot of clothes at me. They wanted me to wear it over my uniform. It was made of deer skin and other animal furs. They told me that cotton and silk is the worst fabrics to be used for cold on account that there were small holes in the cotton and silk. This knowledge would save me in the future.
It was rather hot, despite it raining. I just had too much on. I did slip my mask on, despite objections. Not long passed and I was back on the same dreaded plane I find myself on in most missions. Alexia wasn't sitting that far behind me. She was quiet. We landed but this wasn't the Antarctic. It was Rockfort. They asked me and Alexia to stay on the plane.
Ten minutes later of silence and I notice Alfred enter. Him and Alexia embraced joyfully and kissed each other's cheeks. They were determined.
Alfred was happy to see me. Behind my mask my expressions were cringing every which way at his talkative posture. His voice was still high as a child. Who am I kidding, It has been a while. I didn't intrude in their conversation much. They rarely included me. They asked if I was ready for this and I nodded.
"Are you sure you want to go through with this?" I asked them randomly. They looked at each other and a joyous smile crossed their lips. "You're our savior. Umbrella's savior." Alexia said smiling and Alfred nodded.
Alfred did change though. His posture was that of a king. He spoke much like his sister as well. Good etiquette and quite intellectual. These twins were geniuses. I couldn't deny it, and I wasn't trying to.
Finally I was shivering. My ass was nearly frozen despite all of the clothes draped over me. I felt quite embarrassed when I noticed that Alfred and Alexia weren't even noticing the change in temperature. I looked down, it was pure white I would stand out in that as much as a flashlight would in a starless night.
We landed. I felt numb. It had been a long, ruthless ride. exited the stairs onto the frozen heliport. There was no railings surrounded it. Anyone could just slip on the ice and fall to their deaths. Careless people. I nearly did slip too. I wasn't used to this, not at all. Apparently I would be here for two months. After I do my job anyways.
We entered the facility and things felt warmer. I can finally un-thaw my folded arms and walk casually. We met up with the twin's father, Alexander Ashford. As always he looked joyous to see them but also had that absence of care. He didn't greet me but that was fine with me. As everyone knows I'm not much of a socialist, though if people can get me to talk I'm calm, I can joke around as well, but rarely.
Tomorrow would be my job. I slept uneasy what with the cold, but I slept. Next day I got to meet some of the soldiers. All of them were excited to meet me. I wasn't enjoying the attention. I had shook hands with about forty people in a span of two hours. I could tell they don't leave this place. This base is hardly even known to most of Umbrella.
I found myself nervous as I walked with the two twins to a small hall. We were in a replica mansion of the Spencer Mansion down in Raccoon. Boy were they similar. Though this one was just decoration. The real one was a disguise. There was a piano here. They were anxious to play it for a quite a few reasons. I saw Alfred take his place at the piano and begin playing.
It was their favorite song. Berceuse. I loved hearing it. I leaned against the wall next to me. I folded my arms and crossed my legs. It was now. Alex came in and smiled at his children as he walked past. When he walked passed me I drew my gun. He didn't notice. I walked quickly towards and shoved the metal into the back of his head. Alex wasn't a big man. He fell quietly. The two siblings continued. I had removed the earring from the man's ear and removed the jewel from within it. I had all three now.
I began dragging Mr. Ashford through the hall. There were a few soldiers who glanced at me, but they were in on it as well. This man was driving Umbrella into the ground. It was time for a new successor. On a painting in the main hall of the mansion was a picture of the lord and his children. Also holes where their jewels go. I placed all three in and the wall opened. I continued to drag the man.
The way was difficult but I got him down in the prison and into a shutter. Finally the twins came and I had already strapped Mr. Ashford to a chair. Alexia was holding a vile. I was informed of this. It was the T-Veronica virus. Superior to the T-Virus. But it was unstable and they haven't found a specimen that would react obediently to it.
She withdrew the needle and I stood obediently beside her. She stuck it into her father's neck. She then looked up at me and smiled. "Thank you Hunk." She said sweetly and I merely nodded. We all left and the shutters closed. I had beliefs that Alexia was going to succeed rather than Alfred for obvious reasons.
A month passed. I had taking a fondness to the cold. Mostly because it offered snow boarding. I fell nearly a thousand times but the guys kept pressuring me to keep trying. The soldiers here were more like a family. They obvious don't meet with the others who were always in competition. I liked this bunch though. Did they know I was only 12 years old? No, I doubt it, I never have shown them my face.
One morning I awoke to anger and sobbing right by me as hands shook me. I hadn't been in much of Alexia's and Alfred's business but a rather depressed Alfred explained it all to me. They wanted a specimen who could only gain from the Veronica Virus. There was only one. Alexia.
I could imagine his grief. Apparently she will be in a tube for as long as 15 years! I wasn't liking this either but it was her wishes. We went through with it I stood by Alfred. Only the people here would be informed of what's going on today. Information of Alexia and Alexander were not to be leaked by anyone. They trusted me, and Alfred would surely not betray his sister. As for the others, they're all staying here.
She smiled at Alfred and Alfred, who was fighting to hold back sobs gave her a very broken smile. Her eyes were pained as well. This was a sad moment. She stripped herself and an unknown dosage of the virus was put into her. Within minutes she was floating in a tube. Wouldn't she drown? Naive me, this is Umbrella, they knew what they were doing.
My job in the Antarctic was done. I got onto a plane and left the guys who were depressed to see me go. I sat by Alfred.. I didn't want to but he demanded to be comforted despite the fact that I didn't say anything to him when we were both dropped off at Rockfort. Guess I'm staying here for a while.

It's been another month. Just after December. I walked up to the mansion. I ascended its long stairs, noting the hanging statue. That thing always intimidated me a bit. Once at the top I entered into a hallway that led two ways to two doors in which sat the twin's rooms. I walked the left path and ended up by the door and knocked politely.
A sobbing, shakey voice told me to leave but I shook my head. "Mr. Ashford, you have things to attend to." When it was my voice that came instead of one of his advisor's he opened the door. Been a whole month and he was up here mourning away like she died.
After much debating I failed to get him to leave verbally. But this was important to him and he didn't even know it. I took him by the shoulder and forced him out. He was awed and stunned that I would do that but I didn't much care. I pushed him onward, he didn't resist.
The bases and facility were completely empty. Despite Alfred's questioning I didn't answer. Soon enough we were at an auditorium. Soon enough I had him in front of a podium. Soldiers saluted. I mimicked them. One of the Ashford family's advisers came up and took Alfred's hands. "You now succeed your father. Lord Ashford." With that he made a bow.
I had a distaste for such formalities but Alfred drew a smile. First I'd seen since we left the Antarctic. If there was two things Alfred loved, it was his sister and power. He lost one and gained another. He seems mildly content now.
Another couple months passed. I had guessed I would be about 13 by this time. I was sent back to the Arklay facility. I did my normal route of jobs for two whole years. Puberty had only made me stronger, faster, and smarter. Also according to a lot of my colleagues I hadn't gained the hormonal effects. Love, sex, and lust were at the bottom of my list.
I awoke one day in February. I stood up and looked at my door. Another letter. I got dressed in my usual gear (Which I haven't bothered to change besides the pants) and bent over to pick up the letter. I flipped my thumb through the slit and opened it.
I first examined the name at the bottom. This one was from not only Wesker but Birkin. Since when did he trust my abilities? Either way, this was a big mission for me to finally prove myself to him. I began reading.
This wasn't a usual mission nor was it a decree from Umbrella itself. It's a mutiny. James Marcus.. I knew that man. He had been researching the leeches. I had to assassinate him and dispose of him without Umbrella's knowledge. So be it. Wesker had written that he will take care of security. I was to meet him in his office tonight.
I went through the day like normal. I trained a bit, got to beat up a USS trainee who had the guts to challenge me. People can bark, but in the end their bite comes out as nibbles compared to my chomp.
Finally it was time. I went to Wesker's office. Birkin and Wesker were both smiling. Birkin seemed a bit excited whereas Wesker was cool and calm like always. Another USS soldier stood there. I hadn't seen him before. He was black and bald. Looked around 35 years of age. He looked at me like a partner, not a saint or demon. I admired the man already.
We didn't speak to each other. No one spoke. Wesker just nodded and we proceeded down the empty halls. We entered the labs. No workers, Wesker had kept his end of the bargain. We entered another lab, this was Marcus's room, I knew that.
It was me and Gerard (as I would later learn) in first. We didn't speak, nor were we noticed quite yet. I kneeled down and Gerard was standing behind me. We both fired. The man went down quick. Me and Gerard both stepped out of the way and let the two scientists through. Wesker and Birkin had downed the dying man then I was about to pull Marcus when Gerard decided to do it alone. I allowed him.
The days went on. I've been through a lot in my life. I can't say I've cheated death. Apparently to all of Umbrella.. I WAS death.

Another two years of ruthless missions went by. I remember one mission where me and my target found ourselves at gunpoint of each other. Then at gunpoint of about 8 swat. We made a mutual agreement to deal with them. Unfortunately my target had forgotten that it was only mutual. After they were all dead, I didn't save time for words. I let loose a 9mm round into his head.
Finally I was 17, or at least, I believed so. The missions were going by so quick I could've believed myself to be 12 still.
I woke up and wiped the salty liquid from my eyes. I saw the piece of paper and suited up. I opened it. Apparently Gerard wanted me at the Raccoon PD. He had been undercover there for quite some time to keep Irons in his place.
I sighed and turned then got into civilian clothes. Even though I was almost a man I felt like a boy again. I ran a hand through my black hair. Today was going to be interesting. What'd that guy want? I haven't seen him since Marcus's death.
I left the mansion and got into a nice caprice. I adjusted the rear view mirror then pushed on the gas. I made my way through the invisible paths and ended up out in the freeway. I continued to the city.
I saw some people joking again on the sidewalk in front of a liquor store. It reminded me of my first day in Raccoon, staring into that school and once again I found myself thinking, what if I were over there with them? I shook my head and continued driving.
Finally I was at the station and Gerard was already out in it's large hall to greet me. He shook my hand roughly. Even for me it sent an intense surge of pain in my arm but I didn't wince. He was looking good. You would think at first glance he was your honest heroic police man, and his records shown it. Of course, all those awards were gained from his training in Rockfort. He was trained to kill and now that he's turned an opposite direction it's like he's been doing it his whole life.
He lead me to his car and allowed me in the passenger side then he began to talk. "Umbrella hired me for a job." He started and my limbs locked up. Was he going to try to kill me. My arm inched to my waste where my gun was expertly concealed. He noticed my panic.
"Ahaha, no, no, not that." He laughed a bit more and I relaxed. "They say you might grow unstable." He mumbled as if it was bull crap, which was the exact thing I was thinking.
"What do you mean?" I asked shaking my head in disbelief. "I've carried out my jobs without looking back. I lack a conscience to destroy." He laughed as if I told a joke but I was beginning to doubt it was a joke.
"Anyways," He said going on. "They want me to show you around town. Let you have a nice, relaxing day." He said with a smirk. I was feeling a bit hostile again.
We stopped at a light and Gerard rolled down his window. "Yo dickhead!" He shouted at the car next to us and they rolled their window down. "What!?" "You wanna race!?" Gerard challenged and the other guy accepted. We sped through to the next light and the other guy won.
Gerard parked off to the side and the other guy did likewise. "Guess I won." Said the 19 looking year old. Gerard smile and shown the man his badge. "Do you know how fast you were going? I saw you racing!" Gerard accused and the man looked scared. "B-but offic-" "No buts! I should write you a ticket, or worse, arrest you." He said and gestured a hostile finger at the man. "But I'll let it slide this time. Next time don't you dare accept any races and keep your speed correct dumbass."
I chuckled. I couldn't help it. This was hilarious. The guy looked as if he were about to soil himself. When Gerard got back in and we left the guy stunned on the edge of the road I bursted out in laughs. He was chuckling but that was all, I had a feeling this was a normal routine.
We made it to a coffee shop. I wasn't one for coffee but he insisted so I didn't resist. We both entered the cafe and he took orders. I didn't know what to choose so I just ordered a "black coffee". He gave me a strange look. "Going all out today?" He asked and I stared blank and confused at him.
Then he ordered a latte and the man said that officers get a discount. Gerard flashed his badge again. "Sir, are you trying to bribe me?" He said in his hostile voice. Again I found myself turning and trying hard not to hurt the guy's feelings, and Gerard's act, by laughing.
"N-no sir." He said and Gerard glared at him a bit. "You lucky I'm merciful." An awarded cop indeed. We both sat down at the coffee table. Gerard was right, I did need a day off. One were I can laugh, I hadn't laughed for a long time. I wasn't miserable.. But I wasn't happy.
Gerard began to reminisce about his family. Apparently he had two sons. One going through high school right now and one through elementary. I was listening and for some reason this guy intrigued me.
"So where you from?" He asked me and I sat looking at him blankly. "Oh c'mon, don't do the tough guy thing, just tell me. You're no god or demon." It wasn't that I was acting cool. "I..." I started and touched a finger to my chin. "I don't remember." He laughed, spitting some coffee on the table. I haven't even touched mine yet.. I was afraid to.
"Don't remember? Haha. How'd you join Umbrella then?" He questioned me again. I knew this one. "I was in an orphanage." I started but he interrupted me. "Aha, so Mr. Death WAS from somewhere. Where was it?" "I don't remember... Alexander Ashford picked me up and took me to Rockfort. I trained there."
"How old were you?" He questioned me again. I drummed my fingers on the table. "I was nine." His smile faded. I remembered him telling me he was 20 years old when he went. And he had also told me that it was hell to him. But to go in there at 9 years old? That was crazy to him.
He continued to question me and I continued to answer as best I could. It sort of felt good telling him these things. He listened so well. Suddenly my view of Alexia and Alfred was merely mutual content. Was this man my version of friendship? I believed so.
Finally the day came to an end and I was about to get in my caprice when he threw keys at me. "We rented you a motel room for the next two nights. Sleep there and relax." I stared at him blankly for a few and nodded.
After those two days the dreams began to fade as they had a while back and I was confident again. Confident and eager. I guess death needs vacations too.

As the years progressed jobs were getting fewer. Either I've killed everyone who sought to betray us, or they began to take their mind's advice and not try anything. They'd know I'd be the first to chew on their rotting corpse.
I was now 19 years of age. 5 more years until things will begin to change. As the jobs became less I decided to use this time to go out to Raccoon. Gerard was the best friend I've had so far. Always abusing his powers but quick to act in the right order as well. He knew all there was to know about me.. Well.. All that I know so basically we both didn't know much.
We both were taking a walk. I had a black coffee in my hands (I was still afraid to try anything else but I actually drank it now.) and him with his latte. We weren't really talking. Not much to talk about. The day was quiet and warm.
I was about to take a sip of the dreaded caffeine when Gerard nudged me harder than need be. I ended up spilling the steaming hot coffee on me. I growled and let out a small curse and he chuckled then nudged me again. "What?" I said calmly but with a hint of a snap.
He pointed at two people. One I knew. It was Wesker. Who was the other person with him? Suddenly Wesker looked over here and smiled and pointed at us. He seemed to be talking to the young lady next to him. They began walking over here.
I nodded my greeting to Wesker and found myself staring at the woman. Wesker was saying something but I couldn't hear him, not that I was trying anyways. Suddenly Gerard nudged me again and I blinked. "Huh?" I mumbled and looked at Wesker. Wesker smiled again. "This is Sola Valance. She will be joining us very soon here." Wesker introduced.
The woman, I can't describe her. Those blue eyes were trapping me. I looked away from her, at the corner of my eye I could see her frown. "What's your name?" She asked me softly. I figured out that Wesker had introduced Gerard Chapman already. I looked at her blankly. "Keith." I lied and she made a smirk. "For a trained killer you're a bad liar." She pointed out and I stared at her blankly.
She smiled successfully and glanced up at Wesker. "Shall we go now?" She asked and he nodded. They both said their farewells. My heart began to beat when I saw her back. I recognized her! No, that was my mother though. Too much of a coincidence for my liking.
Again I found myself gazing upon her as she walked off and Gerard nudged me again and broke the link. I rubbed my arm. "What?" I growled. "I think you got something for the new scientist." He said straight out and I was appalled as I strove to fight myself from admitting it, even to myself. I didn't argue though I just folded my arms and turned away from him like a pouting child. Gerard hated the cold shoulder for I could hold this up for hours and it would drive him crazy.
"Whatever." He mumbled then looked at his watch. "Damn, I gotta pick Jim up. Wanna come with?" He proposed and I accepted. We soon got his son from the basketball courts. The kid just doesn't shut up. He tries to converse right now but he lacks the ability to see I'm not a conversationalist.
Gerard dropped me by my caprice and we said farewell. I also said bye to Jim who was in the middle of a conversation with his dad's seat about some bully. Kid's always getting into trouble. I turned and got into my car. I adjusted the mirror out of habit (even though it's right where I want it all the time.) and hit the reverse. Soon enough I was out on the road.
I got back to the facility and checked out for the night.
A week passed and I hadn't seen the girl again. Apparently Umbrella was having a party. It was an open party. Umbrella had practically taken over the city by this time.
Gerard had called me. He wouldn't take no for an answer, I was to go and to dress nice. When I suggested my USS uniform he lectured me even though he knew I was joking. I eventually hung up in the middle of his rant. I walked over to my closet and opened it. A few years ago this place was dusty but I had been using civilian clothes more often now. And there it was, an Umbrella present to me. A nice 400$ tuxedo. I never wore it. I had put it on and it fit quite nice. I hated it though. And it took me twenty minutes to get my tie right.
Finally I was ready. My hair was gelled but didn't look too different than it had, it was just shiny now. I left the facility. "Keith Wilburs.." I mumbled to myself. That was my cover name. I worked at an oil well outside of town. There was no actual oil well though.
The party was big as I had expected. So big, in fact, that it spanned out into the gardens out in back of a man's small manor. I didn't know the man's name. Only that he owned a bit of the town and was pretty big in Umbrella. I can oddly say, without lying, that I was bigger than him.
I hadn't seen Gerard yet and I didn't mind so much. I leaned against the wall next to me and listened to the rock music playing as everyone danced on the floor. I didn't know how long passed but the slow songs came. Someone tapped my shoulder. normally I notice people coming up on me but not this person.
I turned with a light jump and she chuckled. It was Sola. "Come dance with me." She said immediately. I lifted my eyebrow. I just stood there and she glared at me. "Come. I don't want to be here alone." She said and grabbed my hand. I flinched. "Come on... Keith." She said my alias awkwardly. She must've known I was Hunk. She probably wanted to use me to gain power in Umbrella. Little did she know, I was just a figure head of fear. Not anyone with any power.
Suddenly I found myself unable to resist as she tranced me again and pulled me onto the dance floor. I wasn't the best dancer but I've been watching everyone enough to know what to do so we started slowly. Her gazed look desperate for conversation, mine was the opposite so she didn't press any words.
Everything else around us seemed the blur. What's this strange feeling? It was bothering me beyond belief, I just wanted to go and hide under a table. Those blue eyes were getting more pleading and I decided to start it. "Sola Valance.. Huh?" I asked and she smiled. "Yeah." Suddenly I found out why she was silent, she didn't want to talk, she wanted ME to. "Um.. So.. Do you like.... Things?" She chuckled and soon she found out she couldn't hide her laugh. What an odd thing to ask during a dance. I felt embarrassed. I sighed and was about to walk away when she stopped me by grabbing my hand again. "Wait, wait.." She said after calming her laugh. "I'm sorry. Come back.." She said softly. I don't know what was it about this woman but again I found us arm in arm swaying with the calm waves of the music. "Yes." She said with a smile. "I like things, depending on what you mean." I smiled without realizing it. "Guns?" I whispered and she smiled and nodded. That was all I thought of to ask.
We were in silence again and it was bothering her but her eyes still gazed into mine with that curious sparkle. I tried to focus on edged of her eyes but her eyes captured me. We continued our dance and the song was over. She took me and pulled me off the dance floor and I was relieved and yet disappointed. We both sat down.
She began questioning as Gerard had done, but hers were about my alias. I didn't believe for a second that she believed that I was really Keith. We talked on about my alias and then I began to counter her with questions. She told me about her best friends. About how one is fun to team up with her other friends on. I wasn't super interested in the conversation, only in her.
The party was finally dying down and me and her said our farewells. I went back to the facility and had a good nights sleep.

Months... Maybe a year had passed. I had been spending more and more time with Miss Valance. So much, in fact, that we became involved. Well... As involved as a skilled killer and a genius scientist can get. We did agree to keep it as quiet as we could. I was paranoid.
The days went on and after a while she began to request dates. I had taken her on a couple. But 85% of the requests (occasional offers as well.) I left her fully dressed and depressed as I would go on jobs rather than go to her. Sometimes she would forgive me. Other times she would cuss me out. I didn't argue back rather took the bombardments.
One night I was given a job. She had asked for a dinner. This night I refused the job. Umbrella didn't complain. This was the first time I did that. It shocked them but they agreed to let me go for the day. I went to the restaurant to a very shocked girlfriend. She was overly happy to hear I had refused the job.
"Lets order wine!" She demanded. She knew of my low tolerance of alcohol. I sat there for a few but in the end figured that this was my day off, why not? "Alright.." I said, my words unsure. We drank.. And drank we did. She was naming off wines and I had no clue what they were. What was scotch?
Despite my low tolerance I remembered everything that happened that night. And I was pretty wasted. We entered her room, again at her request. We kissed. We rarely did, it was mostly when she would force me to it but tonight it was given by both of us. She brushed off my shirt. (Frowning when she found the bullet proof vest underneath.) We undressed each other and on manly impulse I tainted her.
In the morning I awoke first. My eyes were wide and my head was pounding. I looked at her then realized my lack of clothes. My heart began to beat wildly. I was scared. Even more so than the night I was raped. My breaths were heavy and quick as I looked at the sleeping woman next to me.
I slowly moved her arm from my bare chest and had to practically scavenger hunt for my clothes. I put them on quickly. I took a sticky note from the table and wrote quickly and almost illegibly. "Job, got to go, see you later." My shaky hand placed on the dresser then I left.
I didn't have a job, it was quite obvious since I spent the night at her place and the big people in Umbrella were clueless to our relationship. She would suspect something but maybe she'll figure I went back to the facility then drove back and left the sticky to her convenience.
I practically ran to my car and quickly started the engine then sped off. I went out into a random driveway and violently beat my head upon my steering wheel. It was raging and I couldn't think. "Fuck, fuck, fuck!" I shouted. What have I done?
I calmed. There was no way she could be pregnant though. Not with Mr. Death's luck. I entered the drug store in whose driveway I had been in and left it with a bottle of aspirin. I took three dry. I sat in my car again and drummed my fingers against the wheel. The car rumbled beneath me, impatient to start its run. "Should I see her today?" I asked myself. I was calm now, I had defeated my fear and nodded. "Yes.." I answered and decided to head back to the facility.
I pushed in the key to my room and entered. No note, no job. Not today anyways. I went to see Gerard after. When I found him his RPD vehicle sped past me, lights blazing. I knew this and I figured I'd help. I did a quick U turn as tracks were left by my rear wheels. I flipped my cell phone and dialed his number. He answered quickly. "Carjacker." Was all he said so I knew not to use any deadly force.
We entered a small residential street. I knew this street. It so happened to be the one Miss Valance's friend Jack lived on. I didn't like Jack. The man loved to talk and he was curious about me. He questioned me more than Sola or Gerard had ever done. Boy was going to be a part of STARS. What's he going to do, annoy the villains to death?
Anyways, This was a two way street. Only two exits. Gerard was blocking one and I made my way around to the other loop. I parked my car in a road block formation. My car took up the whole street.
The man took the one turn and quickly halted seeing the car blocking his path. He was driving an unknown brand of truck which would probably tear through mine but the man was too afraid. He stopped the car and exited his vehicle then began to ran to a house. Normally this would be a cliche chase scene through various back yards but I wouldn't allow it. I was faster and I tackled the man flat to the floor. Gerard came up and slapped handcuffs. The man was growing out of shape, he was panting.
Gerard hauled the guy to the station with me following. Once the whole bust was over we sat on two chairs in the station talking. He knew of mine and Sola's relationship. I told him what happened and he laughed. "So you finally did." He said and lightly punched me in the shoulder. (It stopped hurting after a while of knowing him.) I glared at him. "Look," He started. "Don't be afraid. They aint gonna do nothing. Just relax." I did relax a little.
The day went on normally with Gerard then I decided to visit Sola. I came to her and she smiled lovingly at me. I returned with a half-hearted smile. She frowned. "What happened, you got your team killed again?" She asked and I shook my head. She knew why and shook her head. We spent the rest of the day together though a bit apart than normal.
A month passed and I went to her house. I had gotten over the whole sex issue. I smiled warmly at her but she was white. "What's wrong?" I asked and she handed me some device. It was green. "What the hell is this?" I asked confused and she handed me the box. Pregnancy test. My eyes grew and I turned the box over and read the back.
Green was pregnant...
I can't give up on her. I smiled and hugged her. When I let her go she seemed to regain her composure a little. We spent with little words. We were scared. She seemed determined to keep the baby though and happy enough. I agreed though it was a lie. I was scared but I wouldn't do this to her. I wont forsake her.
I loved that baby, as much as I did her. I remember Sola getting sick one evening. I stopped down at a bakery and got her favorite pastry. It was raining. She warned me not to. If I can handle working with monsters both in the literal term and tyrannical term and kill heavily armed and trained people then I would highly doubt any rain would part me from getting to her.
I quickly got to her house and knocked impatiently on the door. I was soaked but the food was fine. I was shielding it by lurching my body forward as to take the hits on my back. She opened the door and was overjoyed. That day I expressed my love to her and the child in words. This was rare.
Months passed again. The baby wasn't long and Sola was rather big. I would joke with her a bit but she would just shrug my childish insults off. And boy did she eat. It has come to where my hands were shaky.
I couldn't put up this charade any longer. I approached Spencer himself. I saluted. I then requested that I be transferred to the Antarctic Base. Not even Sola knew of this installation. After much thought Spencer agreed.
I left quickly in the morning. I abandoned her. I couldn't let all I've lived for be lost. I couldn't let Umbrella find out and deal with her. I couldn't let them take my child as they had me. I knew they would. Born from the most decorated killer the world has ever seen. Born from a genius scientist. This baby will be big news to Umbrella if it ever got out. Please Sola.. Forgive me...
