The tanker gave off a large explosion which seemed to have seperated the two vehichals and the hunter since the hunter was nowhere in sight. All Liam could hear was a large screech of pain which seemed to have signaled that the hunter was either dead or severely wounded. He couldn't speak because he had no idea that his thought would have helped at all.

Leon saw the thing back away as he fired. It was out of the way before the bullets hit. But how? That thing must've noticed him aiming for it before it got too close. Leon swore out loud then turned to Claire. "We have to go around the rubble, we'll catch up from there. THey can't keep that thing off them by themselves." Leon said then checked his ammo. He didn't feel like switching yet. Also from the cruiser being stopped it had attracted zombies. "We should hurry." Large bashed could be heard as a large building by the tanker began to crumble and break down.

The sound of thunder could be heard from outside, as Kei left the vehicle to inspect. It was thunder at all, but actually a building beginning to collapse. She could couldn't have been more thankful, as that rubble began to pile on top of the "tunnel" they had just gotten through, and in turn, it too was starting to collapse. A large chunk of concrete collided with the hunter's head, stunning it for a moment. Kei could see that it would need one more push to collapse completely...and she think she knew how. Acting quickly, she pulled open the back doors of the truck, and snatched the magnum from Yoko's knapsack. "Let me borrow this..." she simply said, before running off to meet the reptilian creature. At first, it seemed she was aiming at the hunter itself, as it struggled to get back on it's feet. But her target soon become clear as she aimed for a section on the side of the bus, near the back; the fuel tank. She was afraid she was going to pull her should after this shot was fired off, but it would be worth keeping her life. The trigger was pulled, and the massive round was ejected. It flew in perfectly, detonating the explosive liquid, and forcing the rest of the tunnel to collapse.
The hunter had been taken by surprise, and let out a very loud screech of pain. Was it dead? Not yet. But it would be impossible to tell, being covered by all that concrete.
Kei let out a sigh of relief, and let her arms drop to her sides. This was a great victory...but it came with a consequence. The two vehicle were now cut off from each other. Both would need to find alternate routes to the university now.

"Damn..." Claire changed the car through reverse and looked behind her. The car began to go backward and was picking up speed. Now, there was something that she liked about cars. Unlike her motorcycle, she could go backwards in cars. She turned left and then hit the brakes, putting it back and taking the third path she could have taken earlier. "We're heading around the concrete pile, guys...so we can help them out if anything else happens." 'If' was the keyword, and tonight, 'if' meant that something was definitely going to happen.

Liam saw the second explosion and noticed all the rubble. He then heard what Claire said, knowing what she meant. He had noticed a small compartment under his seat. He opened it and saw that it was loaded with handgun bullets. This was either very convenient, or very suspicious.

"Kei, being separated is an ok idea...If that thing is still alive...atleast it won't be able to get us all down easily... We'll meet you at the university." Claire said, using the radio from the cruiser. She wasn't driving as fast as she did earlier, but fast enough to put some distance between the car and where the Hunter was last seen. Driving through the streets and seeing what Raccoon city had been reduced to, frightened her. She then remembered Leon's wound. "Leon..." She began, "How are you holding up?"

"Kei..?" Yoko asked when she left the van. She wanted to get up but she couldn't. Her leg felt stiff now that it was finally relaxed. Suddenly an explosion. "Are we dead?.." Yoko asked Brian. "Is Kei? Who's dead..?" She shook her head exhaustingly.
When Claire asked the question Leon was laughing. "She did it!" He said joyously. "She got the damn thing! She made the rubble collapse on it! It's not moving!" He celebrated with laughter, forgetting the pain in his arm for those split moments.

Liam let out a sigh of relief. He was holding his breath in anticipation and was relieved the thing was dead. He was speechless but he wasn't sure if this was the time to celebrate.

(Gotta a long tearjerker in mind) Kei took a few moments to watch the pile of concrete,b efore finally turning around and walking back to her truck. But instead of returning to the cab to drive away, she went into the back, and took a seat on the padded bench her team would sit on while awaiting a deployment. She put legs up and laid back, letting her body fully take it up. Then she turned to Yoko, and despite all that happened, she still managed to put on a little smile. "Here..." she told her, and laid the magnum onto her lap. Firing it made it so she could hardly move her arm now, and she next faced Brian. "You'll need to drive now, amigo." she said coolly. "Unless you want to risk me attempting a right turn...."
There was an assortment of thing in her truck, most left behind by her team. A particular item caught her interest; A pack of cigarettes in a pocket of her Captain's vest. Using her left hand, she reached up for it, took one of the rolls with her mouth, and placed the pack down beside her. Using the same hand, she reached for the lighter, and let the end opposite of the filter ignite. She scoffed, afterwards and look at Yoko, taking the cigarette out of her mouth. "You know, thirteen years ago, someone offered me one of these. I wisely declined...but, ten years ago, I enrolled into the academy. That's where this whole train of mistakes started. So many...joining the force...not killing that reptile all those times...I figure, hey...one more mistake can't hurt me." she said and brandished the cigarette. "I know this these things can kill me, but hey! This bite on my shoulder already says I'm destined."
Kei never smoked in her life before, and that first puff and inhale forced her to cough and gag. Quickly she yanked the roll from her mouth, let the toxic fumes expunge from her body, before tossing it to the ground and crushing it with the butt of her shotgun. "That is a horrible feeling...some people are addicted to this?" Her hand reached for the pack, and held it out to Yoko. "You want one?" she said with a joking gesture.

Yoko held up her hand and shook it, rejecting the pack. "We're human... We make mistakes..." She said then sighed. "At least your mistakes were honorable.." She sat there in silence a few moments before continuing. "As I said... I used to work for Umbrella.. Studied the atrocities that roam around this city... My favorite is the one you just took down..." She sighed again. "I wasn't just a researcher though... They wanted to make.. And indistructible being... One that would put all these other BOWs... Monsters to shame. They couldn't find the right genes.... Until they noticed me.." She mumbled at the last part. "I don't remember if I was forced or if I volunteered but..... I... Don't remember.. I believe the making of the 'Tyrant' was a success." She didn't look Kei in the eye. How could she knowing she had assisted in the destruction of the town. "I didn't know anything when you met me.. According to Monica.. One of my old colleagues, they had erased all memory of it.. I still don't know what happened before I joined Umbrella though.." She rested her head against the back of the truck, it had to have started moving already and the rumble from the broken gravel underneath was oddly satisfying.

"I've noticed you are always speaking in a grim toe when you speak of the events like that." Kei said, now staring at the ceiling. "Well, for it is worth, I'm not holding anything against you." Her attitude was completely different from earlier, now that the situation was different. "You helped create these things...you didn't let them loose. I think it's like a weather man. He predicts rain...he doesn't make it flood." She rolled over, now facing Yoko. "I think you should stop feeling bad about this. It's not your fault...and listen, I am sorry for snapping at you earlier...guess I better apologize to that kid too...but you know, I've grown fond of everyone since the incident started...but you especially." Her gaze returned to the ceiling, and she put her hand on her forehead. "I'm not just saying this, you're the only person who has not let me down, and you're the person I can always count on...hell, even when you went into the sewers, you were still there assisting me."

"..." Yoko sighed again. She made a pact with herself when this was started not to make any friends. It wasn't that she didn't want them, it just made it harder emotionally if said friend were to die. "I guess..." She started but she seemed to be choosing her words carefully. "I guess you're the first friend I've ever head..." She said, getting lost in thought again. "I remember all the scientists in Umbrella don't much like each other.. It was always a contest." She laughed. "I guess that shows you.." She said then trailed off a few, it was obvious she wasn't too good with people. "Odd things can happen in the most dire of circumstances." Suddenly she didn't feel so scared about losing Kei, after what Yoko had seen, killing the hunter, she believed that the rest of this race would be easy going for Kei. Yoko made a real smirk of relief. Then she gasped. "Too bad I'm not in the labs anymore.." She said, smacking herself in the head. "I just got a crazy idea.."

Brian looked at the two for a while, and when they started their conversation, he turned away, lost in his own thoughts. He slowly stood up and turned to the two woman. "Look...You two ladies shouldn't die. Fuck, you better not die." He said to them, with a warm smile. "Yoko, you have to live on, 'cause you should work to remembering who you are, and because I haven't done everything I should do to tell you I'm sorry. Kei..." He paused and went to sit at the drivers seat. "The world needs people like you. We need people like you...We need honorable and admirable people in our world. Little children and even adults need people to look up to. You too, Yoko. People need people like you two ladies...Yeah, you two..."
Brian drove the truck away from the rubble, making sure to distance them away from it. He was just an unlucky guy in an unfair world. "Someone Unlucky can help someone else be lucky..." He muttered to himself as he drove. "So, we're heading to the university, right?" Brian asked.

"Well, that means alot coming from you, you know." Kei said with a smile, before listening to the rest of Yoko's story. "Good thing they don't put you in teams. They do that with us...we need to learn about trust and all that. Someone dies though, the emotional consequence is harsh..." Brian than asked about the university. "Yeah...we're heading there..." It was after that when she remembered why they were going there in the first place. "So...how long do I have left?" She said to Yoko.
Meanwhile, the massive dark claw burst through the concrete, as the hunter emerged like a butterfly from a cocoon. Limping, until it was a good distance from the pile. Nearly collapsing, it used it's bladed bone structure to support itself, while it scanned its surroundings. Once again, they managed to elude it. Perhaps they wouldn't be so lucky next time.

Yoko listened to Brian and gave him an odd look. She almost wanted to laugh at how rediculous his views sounded. The world needed LESS people like her, it's people like her who will destroy it. Despite her strong arguments against his theories she held her tongue. She just glanced towards the floor again. She let out a sigh at Kei's reminiscing of her squad. Yoko was about to give her condolescence when Kei quickly changed the subject with a tough question. Yoko sighed again. "It's different from person to person.. But... If I had to guess I'd say an hour... Two if you're lucky..." She hated to break the band news but perhaps this will hurry each other up. "I wouldn't doubt that cop has less time.."
