Liam was doing all he can to keep his mind off of his family. His hand was tightening around his knee, possibly just to get his mind off of something. If he survived this nightmare, he didn't know how he would live.

Claire looked back at Leon, and then sped up the car. "Leon..." She adjusted the mirror again, so she could see him. "Don't die." It had only been some hours since they had first met, but Leon and Kei were her friends in ways. They had saved her ass and tried to watch her back, and if they died...She shook her head and made a quick turn. "University...Damnit..."
"It's different from person to person...But...if I had to say I guess I'd say an hour...Two if you're lucky..." Upon hearing this, Brian floored the pedal and immediately caused the van to move at a faster speed. He was silent and didn't turn back to them, but it was obvious that he didn't want death to come to anyone. He didn't want to waste anytime, especially since he hardly had any time left.

Liam was hoping they would make it there on time. He did not want the virus to harm anyone else. He had lost too many people and he did not want to lose anyone else. He looked at his revolver and saw the Umbrella symbol. He immediately put the gun away. Why hadn't his father told him that the revolver was made by Umbrella? Liam actually had no idea that his father, Jonas McAdam, worked for Umbrella as a researcher.
He immeidiately unstrapped one of the swords he had on his back and checked to see if they were made by Umbrella also. He saw the symbol on both. They were replicas made by Umbrella, possibly as a gift to his father from the head researcher. He strapped them back onto his back, upset with the fact that he was using tools from the corperation that brought about the death of his family.
ooc:almost forgot about them...lol

Kei nodded, showing she understood. She was trying to mask how afraid she was, by showing an apathetic acceptance, but in all reality, she was scared. She was afraid to die, she didn't want to go out yet. "An hour, huh? You couldn't have made me feel better and said up to two?" She was trying to joke, but she was afraid they might have taken that the wrong way. "No, I don't mean it, I was just joking..." she had said, seeing no one was amused. "So...will you be able to tell me more about this serum we're going to get? You think we'll encounter anything like that hunter again?"

Yoko didn't know the car was moving at a faster pace until Brian made a turn which almost made Yoko topple over but she didn't. Upon hearing Kei say something about Yoko being better off lying Yoko only made a sigh and looked to the floor. Kei then said she was joking but Yoko didn't seem to take it as her gaze didn't change. Kei continued with yet another tough-to-answer question. "It's called Daylight.. But... I'm afraid.. I don't know how to make it.." She answered quickly, feeling embarressed. "To be honest... I'm going more on luck of there being a file on it..." It was always nice to tell someone how more their percentage at life could lower. "As for the hunter... After what I've seen.. I wouldn't doubt it's still alive.."
Leon didn't seem to hear Claire, he was just getting relaxed from the fight. He felt a cramp in his leg leaning the way he did when he was fighting off the monster. But now he could relax it. Besides a headache he felt relaxed now. He could only set his goals on Yoko's cure.

Kei sighed. "I guess I better stop asking questions...the news is always worse..." She said grimly, unable to hide her fear now. "I'll come clean. I don't want to die. I'm scared sick that we won't make it on time, and now that the chance of us finding the stuff is low." Her eyes began to water. "You know...its a shame. I thought I could something better with me life. I was going to try get a better medical degree and get a job as a doctor or a nurse or maybe even a surgeon..." She made a pause to wipe her eyes. "Well, it is my fault though. Captain always told me I was careless with my engagement. He told me if I keep giving them enough time to react, I was going to die real soon...he was right."
Meanwhile, the hunter was hunched over, coughing up blood. It was covered in it's own blood, and still bleeding from the first wound inflicted upon it by Kei, the scales hadn't sealed it off yet. It sniffed the air. It could still smell the exhaust from the vehicles. It could still track them, even if they made it to their destination. When it had regained enough strength to get moving again, it would.

Yoko sighed again. She felt extremely bad for giving her the news. Maybe it would've been better if she lied. She brushed back a strand of hair as she removed her backpack from her back and set it in her lap. She opened a side pouch and pulled out a peculiar little item. "Ya know.." She started with a light tone. "The very first thing I remember of my existance... Well... After being a scientist, was waking up in a hotel room alone.. All I had that wasn't usable currency was this.." Then she chuckled. "And clothes of course." She shook the object a bit. "I don't know where I got it from but it was there in my pocket. Someone important must've given it to me.. I always pretended it was from my mother.. It's sort of.. Well.. Sort of my good luck charm.." With that her eyes seemed to wander before shoving herself beside Kei and forcefully opening Kei's palm and placing the object there before closing her hand. "I'm sure it'll help you.. after all, if I didn't have it you might've been a surgeon.. then I would be dead. And you might be too.. And possibly everyone else. You don't know how much you've helped all of us. If you weren't an officer, would you have had the skill?" Yoko gave a reassurring smile. "Your job is to help us.. My job has always been to analyze things.. My analysis is that there is hope. It's close." She sighed again as she thought of finding the right words. She wasn't good at these things. "L-Losing hope now is wasting all you've already done. the cure is there... I know it."

Kei listened to all the facts Yoko had put up against her in the last part. She was right. The little things she did, did matter for something. She overlooked all of them. She felt stupid now, and stared at the object in her hand. It was a piece of parchment on a string with some inscriptions on it. Kei never believe in luck, but right now, she was willing to turn to anything; luck, religion, all those distant "helpers". One more thing she had to do. She wasn't sure Yoko approve of this fully, but she really needed to expel some affection. She wrapped her arms around the younger woman, in an embrace. "Thank you..." she said happily. Again, Yoko had pulled for her again. "I was right about you. You never let me down, and I am convinced I can always rely on you." She made reference to what she had said earlier. Her spirits were obviously raised. "Well, you've got us out of everything this far, I believe you can get us through it completely." She released Yoko afterwards, before she had turned blue.
The hunter started to limp forward on three limbs, both legs and it's bladed structure. It was following the trail of exhaust it could still sense.

Yoko had turned her head to focus on the smoke in the sky out the back windows. She was hiding the embarressment of the mushy moment, luckily she was good at masking emotions. Then when she thought it was over she felt a tug and realised she was in Kei's arms. She didn't say anything and didn't move much. He face held a confused expression. Yoko fought her sigh at Kei's words and won. She didn't sigh but the thoughts of being relied upon and being trusted to get them out of this mess had brought on a new obstacle which she had overlooked before. She masked the worried look again with the same look she had when Kei had first hugged her, although the first expression was real. Then she was let loose and she felt free now. She just gave a nervous smirk before laying her gaze back to the floor. Conversation was hard when all your thoughts revolved around "how will Umbrella respond to the catastrophy to save themselves?" She felt hopeless now. If it was a nuclear weapon then the school would be wasting time. But she couldn't do that to Kei so she kept her mouth shut. She'd just have to act fast with the cure... When she learns how to make it.

Brian drove the van in silence. The future was still clouded in darkness and he didn't know if he was going to make it out alive. But that wouldn't matter much. He didn't have any friends or family to turn to, and didn't think that any of the people with him now would help him. Brian didn't worry much about his future, because it would probably end as bad as it always had been. He glanced back at the two and then turned back to continue driving. He couldn't see his own future, so he decided that in the present, he would help the others make it to their futures.
It didn't take too long for him to drive the van to the university. "We're here. Get out.We have to hurry." He said to the two women before getting out himself. The moment he got out, he brought his gun out and then went to open the back of the van. He pulled it open and held his hand out to the two ladies. He managed to smile at them, even though his suit was ripped and covered in blood. His shoes weren't as shiney as they were before, and his face was covered with red, but he still managed to give the 'It'll be better. I'll make sure of it.' smile. "C'mon. Knowing you two ladies...I don't think you two would go out without a fight!"
"Liam..." Claire said to the boy, "You know how to get to the University from this place?" She wasn't familiar with the area around here. And the zombies in this area weren't helping much. "Shit...We don't have enough time...I don't know where to go!"

Liam heard this question and didn't know how to answer. He had actually been learning there but didn't want to mention that since it was slightly embarressing to him. "Y-yeah...I know where it is." Liam said, hoping he would give away why he knew. "I-It's just a few blocks down from here..." he said again, doing all he could to stop himself from telling them his secret.

Kei put the small charm around her neck, and gratefully took Brian's hand and helped herself down. She looked down the road they had just came from. The cruiser was nowhere in sight...and this caused worry. "Should we wait for them...or try to go in and get started immediately?"
The hunter had been on the trail for sometime now, and was finally getting some strength back. It no longer needed to use a third limb to help support itself, so it's pace was increased by a good amount. The wound had crusted over, so it wasn't bleeding anymore. It was still limping, but at a nice pace. Sticking to the trail, it turned another corner, spotting the clock tower in the distance.

Yoko slowly stood up. She thought rest would help the leg relax but as she pushed herself up it stung like hell but she ignored it and placed her black backpack over her shoulders again. She limped to the edge of the back of the truck and accepted Brian to help her down after Kei was helped. She then turned to Kei. "We should wait..." She mumbled. Who knew what they would face in there?
Maybe it would've been better had Leon gone with the others and Brian taken his place. He didn't know much of this town either. Luckily the kid did.

Kei felt uneasy about the decision. Was it really safest outside? Studying the area beyond, she saw zombies wandering aimlessly. None were near their current location, but they were gradually making their way to them, and there might have been a few. "Well if we're going to wait..might as well see what supplies we can salvage from my truck then." And she went back in. There wasn't much that could help; An extra armor vest and a half used up medical kit. This vehicle was stripped of weapons already, probably by the tea when they were blindsided by the zombies at the checkpoint. "I guess we should wait then..." She admitted. "Can rush into battle without weapons, can we?" Kei knew they were packing, but it was light. Yoko had the magnum, but she and Kei had already used most of the bullets. She had her shotgun, but a twenty-gauge was a pretty weak caliber as far as shotguns go. And Brian probably had a .9mm. They met anything stronger than a licker, they'd have been screwed.

Liam was looking at the ammo. He thought it would be enough for the rest of the time since there were many boxes of 9mm bullets and some were universal 9mms. He checked the firearms that they currently had. So far there were four 9mm handguns, Liam had his revolver, Leon had the smg that held off the hunter, Liam was unable to tell what Claire's was.
