Raccoon city is an uninteresting place that doesn’t really have anything in it. It wasn’t a place for gambling or the city with the most felonies. It wasn’t the city with the most gay bars or strip clubs, or anything. It was just a city with nothing much to do. Raccoon wasn’t a really exciting place. The only interesting thing in Raccoon was Umbrella Corp. You know why? It’s because Umbrella Corp. was everything in Raccoon City, and I mean it. They created everything that helped us get on with a daily lives. They were our lives…seriously.
They had our lives in the palm of their hands, and they easily ruined it.
It all started one day with a series of strange murders. People started going missing and soon people were getting attacked in their own homes. When the police got to the crime scene, they reported the victims as dead, obviously, but it wasn’t normal. The victims were reported to have been eaten to death. Their flesh had been ripped away from the bone and some people were mutilated beyond recognition. At first, the RPD said it was a serious case of cannibalism and they were sort of right I guess...because the murderers were human-like. The only thing different about the killers were that they were actually rotting, smelling bad, and groaning. To sum it all up…they were dead.
Soon Raccoon City became the city with the most disgusting death cases and this really wasn’t exciting. I wished it didn’t happen.
Now, people were being killed on the streets and it wasn’t safe to walk alone, or even with anybody. The attacks became more frequent and the RPD was being flooded by missing persons cases and unsolved death crap. Yeah, all the stress was put on the people working on at the Raccoon City Police Department and they never really solved the cases, because one night all police forces were called out to stop riots...
The biggest 'riot' anyone would have ever faced...
-----
With one brown eye opened, she looked up at the bartender and lifted her head from the table. Her dark brown hair was neatly tied up into a ponytail, with her bangs to the sides. Above her closed eye was a white band aid strip that covered a cut she received earlier in the day. The woman didn’t look like she was in the best of moods because of her scowl. Tonight her dark gray coveralls were zipped down to show her white wife beater and the chain that ran through a ring that she wore around her neck. Like any other working day, she had on her utility belt and her thigh pouches and of course, her favorite black combat boots. The rest of the stuff she usually wore was on the stool right next to her. After this break she would need to get back to her job.
“Jillian…what the hell did you do this time?” “I beat up a guy who ticked me off.” The woman answered quickly and waved her hand for another beer. “Why do I drink this stuff? It’s disgusting…” She muttered. “What’s his name?” The bartender handed her a beer and she grinned. “Jonathan...The new guy…I showed him who to not mess with…” She touched the band aid and winced. “Still hurts…That guy tried to pull a knife…Ha… No more babies for him.” The bartender shook his head, as she took a sip. “How many times?” “Five for each word he used to tick me off.”
She turned her head to the TV and watched it. “Stay indoors as the police calm down the riots…and off the streets…” Jillian repeated, taking her stuff from off the stool next to her. She slapped down a twenty dollar bill on the table and headed over to the restroom. She tripped over a few drunken guys, but she knew it wasn’t the beer she drank. One beer wouldn’t get her out of it. When she got into a stall, she put on all the stuff she had off earlier and fixed her outer vest. “Umbrella Security… and the blood red and snow white symbol…” She frowned. “I hate this job…”
She came out of the restroom in full uniform and still in a bad mood. “I have to deal with that punk when I get back to the Plant…See you, Tom. Remember, you die tomorrow and I promise you…that I won’t make it to your funeral…I’ll be killing the bitch that got you.” The bartender laughed and shooed her away. “The Umbrella bar…no one ever comes because it’s so damn near the Plant and because they think seeing a bunch of security guards in one place is scary…” Jillian muttered before getting into her car. “Stupid job…stupid day…” She locked her doors and just sat in her car. “Riots…Ha… I don’t believe that shit is true…”
Jillian wasn’t going to drive away from the bar anytime soon and only got into the car to get away from the bar. She just didn’t find being surrounded by drunken men entertaining and she didn’t really like the smell of alcohol too much either, so she simply walked out. She turned on the heater in her car and just sat back and relaxed. “Ten more minutes until break is over…so I might as well spend it taking a nap…” She yawned and closed her eyes. Man, her car seat was real comfy.

Shots rang out above the sirens that flared ever so loudly closer and closer to the checkpoint. "What the fuck are they doing!?" The 23 year old male shouted as the cruiser halted to an abrupt stop. He quickly left the vehicle and ran to the side of his comrades.
"What the hell are you guys doing!? They're civilians!" Jack Anderson shouted at the officers, his STARS logo and badge clearly outranking them. It was already late in the evening (right?) seeing the gore would be difficult.
"They're EATING us." Jean said as he fired off a few more rounds and a stomach turning gurgle and thump sounded the rioter's defeat. "Stop shooting!!" Jack ordered but the officers were in such a panic they didn't hear his order.
Suddenly something jumped over the barricade onto Jack. "Shit." He mumbled. The being forced it's face towards Jack's shoulder but Jack had his hand on the man's chin. It sickened him to no end. The mush meat between his fingers, the stench, this man has been killing if not already dead.
A shot and the man fell dead, a little trickle of blood and brain oozing from his head onto Jack's vest. Most missions he's on he gets the worst part of the mission, namely the hygenics of it. Dog slobber, slime, blood, mucus, maggots, and now brains. "Eeeyack." He said as he stood up from the ground and thanked Jean.
Jack had to take charge now, he began to point at random officers. "You, go call the PD tell them this is no ordinary riot." He said and pointed at another. "You, make a bigger barricade. And you help him." He said pointing at a guy right by him. "The rest of you, keep these raunchy.. THINGS away.."
Normally Jack is one to joke around, a fun guy when he's not stressed to no end. It's difficult to make Jack stressed, especially during missions, even now he isn't. When he actually does take full control of something he's quick and precise. However when his mind is in the "caveman" state as his friends call it, he can be a bit slow and adrenaline takes over quicker than his brain can think.
Now wasn't one of those times, it's not about killing them all, rather keeping them out. What were they after? Jack took out his radio. "Gamma, we got a hell of a mess!" He called through. He called through a couple times without any answers from one member. STARS, so lazy.

She opened one eye at the sound of knocking on the driver side’s partly opened window. "Now I know where you get all your energy for punching people...You sleep all the time. When you’re pissed off, you're awake and bashing people's heads in and when you’re calm, you're usually asleep." A man said with a funny smile. Jillian had given him that smile and the fake front teeth that showed. Her eye moved up to see the face of the man and then she growled; obviously, in another bad mood. She unlocked the driver seat door and pushed it out as hard as she could.
The man fell back onto his ass and she closed the door and locked it once more. “Not so friendly, huh?” He joked and her hand moved for the shotgun in the passenger seat. “Whoa, lady!” “What the fuck do you want, Ryan?” Ryan grinned. He was her messenger boy and was the one who alerted her of everything. “Well…the mob has reached the front gates of the plant and there’s a chemical spill…” Now, Jillian opened both of her eyes and sat up. “Chemical spill?” She repeated, biting her lip. “Yeah…a serious one…What do we do?” Ryan handed her a radio and she took it slowly.
“All Raccoon City Plant Security…evacuate all of the Plant employees out of Raccoon immediately...” Ryan looked at Jillian with a puzzled look and then said, “…out of Raccoon, huh?” She nodded and looked around. “Ryan, contact the security guys who aren’t at work today…and tell them to help out at the Umbrella building.” “Why?” “Just do it…before I make sure that you never have sex again.” She handed him back his radio and then drove toward the Plant.
“Shit…What’s the big emergency?” She looked around as she drove and noticed random people walking around slowly. Some seemed drunk and others seemed to be walking with a bad limp, but right now, she really didn’t care about the injured and the drunken. She just wanted to know what was happening at the Plant. She stopped at a stop light and waited there for a moment, unsure of what she was hearing. Were they all groaning? Jillian shivered and shook her head.
During her drive, she turned on her on her own radio. “Sir, we’ve began evacuation.” A guard told her. “That’s good…” As her car neared the plant, the sound of groaning grew louder, and she started to hear gunshots in the air. “Damn...” She said, trying to avoid what she was actually thinking, “…the riots are true.” She stopped her car a good distance away from the Plant entrance and saw some ‘rioters’ attempting to break in. Surely enough, they did. “They’ve broken in! Shit!” The sound of gunshots now filled the air and she could hear yells for help and pain on her radio. “What is this? They’re eating us alive!”
“Eating? This can’t be related to the murders…” The car’s heater was on, but she suddenly felt cold and was shivering. “…God…please tell me that these people are just ritually doing this whole cannibalism thing…” She said as if she were almost in prayer. “I know I don’t go to church or isn’t really that into religion…” When she finished her ‘almost prayer’, she got a good look of one of the ‘rioters’.
One had flung himself onto the front of her car, and started banging on the glass. “Get the…” The person looked up at her with a bloodied, eyeless face and then continued to try and break the glass. “It’s…It’s not Halloween, kid…I…I like the fake blood on your shirt…and, and…” Jillian didn’t know what she was seeing, and wasn’t sure it if was real, but she was scared and would admit it this time. The glass finally shattered and the thing grabbed her shoulders. Its head went back, and her eyes widened.

"This is Echo 15!!" The Korean woman called into the radio. "I'm here with the fire department at the supermarket fire. Something is happening, the people...they are eating each other!" Ayami was still in her basic police uniform, having been dispatched while on patrol to assist the fire department. From her police cruiser, she could see the fire department trying to put out fire, while the police kept them protected from the zombies. "Ayami!" One of the firemen called. She recognized his voice, and stepped out. "What is it?" "Dispatcher called and said you are needed back tp suit up and join your captain...you need to leave A-sap. "But, what about you, Len?" "I'll be fine, just go, I don't want you getting fired..." "Alright..good luck." The woman rolled up the window and said into the radio again. "Echo 15, returning home..."

"Why aren't they answering?" Jack growled then a response came in. It was Ayami. Jack decided to give her some time to get here. The barricade seemed to be working well. Jean suddenly screamed. Jack looked over and saw his arm bleading profusely. "Jean! You ok?" The rioter that bit him was dead, shot. "I'll be okay..." He said unconvincingly.
The rioters were getting increasingly more persistant as they brayed on the junk piled up in order to keep them out. The shots began to grow fewer as the officers found themselves short of ammo. They had to run to their cars and get spare ammo. There wasn't much of that either.
"Damnit, where is backup?" Jack cursed to himself and shot another of the climbing rioters. It was starting to get worse.

Her free hand frantically pushed open the door and she fell out, hitting her back hard. “Ah! Shit!” She cursed as managed to land on the curb. The thing slowly turned its head at her and she flipped it off. “Quit joking around, kid!” She shouted, still trying to think that it wasn’t what she thought it was. It let out a loud groan, and she soon realized what kind of situation she was in. “Chemical Spill…” She took a glance at the Plant and saw helicopters leave it as the mob entered through the gates.
Jillian no longer wore the shocked and scared look on her face, but she frowned. “…You’re dead.” She finally admitted and stared at the thing that struggled to get up from the seat she had been on. “You are so fucking dead….” She took her handgun out of its holster and pointed it directly at the dead man’s forehead. “…Great night to go crazy…” Her eyes closed before she pulled back on the trigger. Above the moans and groans a lone gun shot rang out. For now, she knew that she was alone and the people she had worked with were either gone or dead.
She pulled the dead man’s body out of the driver’s seat and threw it onto the street quickly, seeing that her gunshot had attracted more things. She dusted off the glass and got into the seat and drove away. “This is the Head of the Raccoon Plant Security, Jillian Masters, can anyone hear me?” She let go of the button and continued to drive. For the next five minutes, she drove and heard nothing but static. Her mind was panicking. “What if…” “Sir! Ma’am! Whatever…It’s me, Ryan…I was with Martin…” There was a long pause. “Are you still there?” “Yeah…most of the guys got to the main building…but we were late…and…and were attacked by some rioters…One bit Martin’s leg…”
She heard him cough, as she avoided a jaywalker. “We were…walking…and then Martin grabbed me from behind…and took a chunk out of my shoulder…I shot the bastard in the head…” The town was surely turning into a place of hell. “…I’ve noticed…that if you shoot them in the head…they…die…This is the emergency…the chem. spill…don’t let them… get… you…” Jillian knew that the man was dead, so she didn’t bother replying to his last words. “Idiot…” She mouthed.
She stopped her car in a seemingly empty street for a moment and thought about trying to contact people again, but she decided not to and continued to drive toward her destination, the main Umbrella building. When she had taken up the job as the head of security, she had been told that when a ‘chemical spill,’ or an emergency, happened, she would have to evacuate all Plant employees. The next thing she had to do was to help out the people at the main Umbrella building. “Probably holding off those things…”

" It spilled!"
Men and women were panicking, some imbecile had broken a vial of the Tyrant Virus. It had already had taken affect, the scientists working for the Umbrella corporation had accelerated the incubation period of the virus from hours to mere minutes. This was the ultimate test. How well would the infection spread. How quickly, and more important who would survive.
They had almost created the perfect biochemical warfare agent the planet would have ever known.
She laughed vindictively, she pressed a few keys. To ensure that all of the experiment would be recorded. Another bit of time wasted on the keyboard and she released the rest of the B.O.W experiments.
" The perfect killing machines are now roaming the city. Soon the Tyrant will be joining us as well" she mused. Tapping her pen against her cheek.
" Help!".
Gargled cries were ascending, the other human beings were pounding their fists trying to break down the glass. It would be impossible. Well almost impossible.
" Your wasting your breath"
She placed her hand on the glass, her smile tainted. She cocked her head to the side, staring at her co-workers and cohorts. Many becoming infected. They fed on the living and sometimes those of the recently dead.
She walked away from the gruesome scene to her desk taking out a small hand gun and a metal case. Filling it with five vials of the serum and three of the virus. Putting papers, syringes, and one data disk. Luckily she had anticipated an event like this would happen.
The case was small and easily portable. She slung it on her shoulder. Clutching the hang gun.
“This is the Head of the Raccoon Plant Security, Jillian Masters, can anyone hear me?”
' This is getting more interesting by the very second'.
She grabbed a walkie talkie, and clipped it to her belt. The woman decided to stay in her work clothes. She opened up a barely viewable floor passage way. She climbed down into the dark abyss. Once reaching the bottom she took a left, her impractical high heel clanked on the metal grate.
A bit of time passed as she found another ladder. She climbed on up she reached a sterile white room with a card-key only access point. She swiped the card.
" Thank you. Miss Sola Valance".
The computerized voice echoed the underground cavern.

“…Surprisingly nothing…” Her car stopped at the front of the main building. “All surviving security…status report…” She said into the radio. Nothing. Just as she had thought…Everyone was dead. “…” Jillian wasn’t surprised about this and expected this from them. In her eyes, they were worthless and stupid, and had no value to her. If they died, they died and were easily replaced. She didn’t care so much most of the time, but in an emergency like this, she wished that they weren’t so dumb. “…Protect Umbrella at all costs…even at the cost of your life…”
She parked the car in front of the main building and exited it with her shotgun and both of her handguns. Jillian wished that there was a battle between the undead and Umbrella goons in the front, but there was nothing. “Those things are probably inside…Maybe…the protection never made it...as usual.” She stepped over broken pieces of glass and entered the building, seeing the bodies of people she had worked with. Behind the gas mask, a small smile formed on her face.
They had it coming.
Her hand clutched the shotgun tightly as she walked through the horrible mess. At the rate she was walking, she seemed as if she was taking a stroll through a park to admire the sights. Of course, she had been surprised earlier by her first encounter with the thing, but seeing all her men dead only seemed to make her smile. “…You had it coming...” Jillian would mutter as she passed bodies she recognized.
Finally, she made it to the elevator, and punched in her password. She slowly entered it and watched as their bodies got to their feet. As the elevator doors closed, they rushed toward her. “Joy…” She lifted her shotgun and fit it through the gap of the doors. The doors tried to close, but couldn’t and she pulled the trigger. A loud bang filled the air and she pulled back her gun and waited for the elevator to descend to the lower levels. All she knew was that she was supposed to be helping evacuate Umbrella employees.

They were pushing the officers back. The barricades weren't holding. "Shit." Jack mumbled. He took out his radio and spoke into it. "East Hill Road is lost. If any Gamma are listening rendezvous at Mango street." It was only a block away. The officers had to act fast to make a second barricade.
"Everyone, continue south a block and set up a new barricade." He ordered and they all began to move back as quick as they could. The first barricade would buy them enough time to make a second. The only downside was that they had a major lack of items. The houses have been long evacuated by this time so officers broke into houses and started moving furniture out towards the road.
Another checkpoint. The first one was beginning to collapse. Jack didn't care that they were going against their rules and regulations of breaking into homes and taking their items. After what he's seen, this isn't a normal riot, and an unnatural riot called for unnatural rules.
Jack assisted in moving a couch to the wall. The moaning came closer. They were already going past the the first checkpoint. "Zombies.." One officer mumbled in hysterically. Jack didn't want to admit it but he agreed with the man. 'I hope Ayami and Sola are okay..' Was all he could think about right now.
What else was new about Jack? Despite how much he annoyed them they were always the first ones he'd think about. There was one other a long time ago he would be thinking about right now, but she disappeared a while back and she didn't come into mind anymore.
The barricade was finished. The officers seemed content about it. They knew that the zombie-like beings could go around but they were stupid right? As far as they've seen they were. They wanted the officers, not a way around. So they'd take the bait and focus on trying to go through the wall instead of around it.
(Sucky, indifferent post. Sorry.)

"Were to far gone to find our way home".
Too true. Once she entered onto the streets of Raccoon City she seen what the full destructive force that the T-virus brought. Havoc roamed the mountain town. It was glorious. So beautiful on the simplicity of such a creation could bring a civilization to the brink of annihilation.
" Breath taking" her voice hushed, the low key sound didn't carry far but had attracted some dangerous friends. The zombies.
She strategically picked off certain zombies to create a path to follow. One step outside said path and the consequences would be tremendous. She zigged-zagged through the crowd; as if she mimicked a woman's half of a waltz.
From a safe distance from some of her creations the young woman walked normally mentally categorizing her finding. Taking notes on what to improve, what to remove and what to alter for perfection.
" And an orderly chaos has been given to humanity and they call it power. It is uncontrollable and just as deadly when contained"
It was Professor Kingsbury that said it. The brilliant man was probably laughing at her misfortune. Looking on the computer monitors looking at his protege's fine handiwork.

Luckily for Jack, Ayami was okay...unfortunately her car was cut off on the road by a rather large group of these undead marauders. Right now, she was taking cover behind the cruiser, putting together an explosive, along with a suspect who was in back with her. "What?! You're going to blow this car up? Do you know what you're doing?!" Ayami only chuckled. "Don't worry. I've been working with bombs for a while, and I have a word of advice for you. You see me running, try to keep up." The other man seemed uneasy, as they advanced. Ayami released him from his cuffs already. She needed help, and if he ran, he'd be zombie chow. And he knew this, too. "Alright, almost done. Just need to attach it to the car."

"The alarm's not on..." She noticed as she looked around. The clear, white halls were as quiet as can be and she saw nothing. "...so I'm guessing that the people are still in here...They couldn't have been evacuated out and it's not like the things can enter through the elevator...Hmm..." Jillian continued to walk, but took time to stop at a window. "It's in here too?"
"I wonder..." She turned a corner and walked into the Security room. According to what she was seeing, the things were in the main building and she could tell that everyone here was dead. "No helicopters called over here...And no alarms...Wait..." She looked again and saw something strange. The only alarms on were in the labs, and there was supposedly a lock down, but from the screens, she didn’t see it. “Why only the labs…”
She looked at the screens and saw the 'zombies' around the labs. She also saw broken tubes and opened containers. Seeing them made her wonder what could have been in those things. Jillian looked at the screens more, but was stopped when she heard the sound of glass breaking. She looked through the blinds on the window on the door and saw a reptilian monster standing on pieces of glass. “That’s the window I was at earlier…” She whispered, backing away from the door.
Her back hit a wall and she kept her shotgun close. Jillian closed her eyes and listened to the sound of its clawed feet hit the ground. It stopped in front of the door for a moment and then continued on. “…” She waited a good five minutes before going over to the door to open it. She had decided that everyone in this building was dead and didn’t need her help getting out. Now all she needed to do was get her own ass out.
“…god…” Jillian slowly pushed the door open, and took a peek outside. “Ah fuck…” The thing turned around and she began a sprint for the elevator door. She could hear it chase after her, and when she glanced back it was too close for her comfort. The thing leapt forward and with an awkward twist, Jillian turned some of her body around and fired the shot gun.
It fell on its back, and thinking that she had stopped it, she ran to the elevator and punched in the code. She took out her radio. “Main building is clear…Everyone’s dead. Stay clear of it.” She said into her radio as she waited for the elevator doors. “…and get out of the city.” Jillian let go of the button and reloaded her shotgun. She was down to the last two, and she would really need to use them wisely.
The reptilian beast got up and shook its head. It turned the corner and ran into Jillian once more. This thing obviously wasn’t like the ‘zombies’ she had faced earlier. With a ding, the elevator door opened and the beast jumped forward once more. She nearly avoided its claw and it crashed into the elevator, and took its time getting up. She took this chance and shot at it, using up all the ammo she had for her gun. As a precaution, she took her empty shotgun and gave the thing’s head six good whacks. Satisfied after shooting it more and whacking it, she entered the elevator, but stayed a good distance away from it. “…If that’s what I have to do to kill those things…then ok… But it takes too damn long...”

The barricade wasn't as great as it first seemed. They were crawling through weak spots. The officers ran out of options. Most lost heart and began sprinting away. Jack tried to keep the more brave of them calm, but he himself was about to turn tail. In fact, that was probably the best solution now.
He was unaware of his comrade on the other side of the furnished barricade and mounds of undead and turned and ran. His other allied followed him, it wasn't a battle to be won.
(Yeah, whatever..)

Two quick actions, and the explosive was placed upon the fuel tank of the car. "Setting to frequency two..." She hit a button on both the bomb and the remote detonator, and was greeted by a beep from both. "Haha...we're in business...just need to set up now." It seemed Ayami had been prepared, as if she had rehearsed this several times. While looking at the legion of undead wandering aimlessly around, she took out a signal flare, and lit it. After placing it in a specific location, she dragged the man away from the car, took in a nearby alley, and told him to hold his ears. "Alright...first, get their attention..." she said to herself, and fired the handgun into the air. Almost simultaneously, the zombies faced the alley, and Ayami watched them while peeking around the building's corner. They went around, under, and over the trap car...the flare as her signal to detonate...when one of the undead went past it, it was time to light everything up. "Little closer..." she said aside herself once again...and when a zombie did. She pressed the button, and look away. There was a strong shockwave in the nearby area, and a nearby blinding light. She could see bodies of them flying down the road, as well as debris from the car. Her little move seemed to grab the attention of quite a few people. "What was that?" The radio cackles. "Explosions are going off in the city. Have we been authorized to use bombs?" She couldn't blame these people for not knowing..but perhaps, her Captain would get an idea...after all, cars don't usually explode at such a convenient time and in such a convenient location.

The large shockwave, and booming echo alerted the young scientist. She momentarily surveyed her surroundings then continued on the barren road. Up ahead the girl seemed to have spotted men. Quite a few in fact. As some got closer she recognized the uniform and slid the handgun into the back part of her skirt; the saftey of course turned on.
Sola hid her Umbrella keycard in one of her lab coats' pockets. They might have an idea where she was from but to the untrained eye anyone of them could mistake her for a young doctor or in another similar field of medicine.
