Kei sighed, and grabbed his hand, pulling herself up with his weight. "Usually, I'd be opted to do your first choice...but since they took the bridge with them, guess I'm going with you." She responded, trying to brighten up her own mood with humor. The only visible was the one the truck had come down, so they headed up that one first. Up the path, the sound of an animal suffering could be heard. This made Kei feel bad. She didn't like listening to this sound. And further up, they found the culprit, a white dog trapped in a bear trap. She quickly rushed up to it, and attempted to pull the two bars apart. They were stiff, but she was able to move them slightly. Pushing as hard as she could, she was able to open them just wide enough for the dog to slip it's foot out. When it did, it simply bounded away. Kei was happy it atleast got away. But that made her wonder. "Are there anymore of these traps around?" Sure enough, on the ground there were several steel bear traps. And even further down the road, there were yellow cylinders attached between tree with a wire suspended between them, obviously explosive. "Damn..it's like they were ready for us, huh?" She said to her partner.

Dan heard the animal's suffering cries and got his gun ready. Could be more of those crazed wannabe humans. Soon enough they found that it was a bear trap. Dan smiled as Kei was so quick to help it. When it pulled its foot out it had the chance right then and there to rip her apart in a fit of rage at its wounds but instead it ran off. Amazing it could run with the bloody leg. Dan was a little unsure about letting it go wounded like that but he'd rather not test its tolerance of humans anymore than Kei had.
"Are there anymore of these traps around?" He heard Kei asked and they both looked down to the grass and sure enough there were many little happy welcoming gifts there. Then he looked up and saw the inconvenient dynamite. "Damn..it's like they were ready for us, huh?" She asked and he chuckled. "You can't declare 'war' with one of the most powerful nations without being prepared with a bunch of easily noticed traps, right?" He said sarcastically and picked up a stick and tossed it on one of the bear traps as it snapped shut furiously and destroyed the stick. "Just watch your footing, and for the tripwire either go under it or walk around the tree." He said and began to go forward, he passed the bear traps without a problem and easily ducked under the wire. They didn't seem to put anymore of the traps out. Dan waited for his partner before continuing until they saw a shed. "What's that smell?" He said and wrinkled his nose at it. He walked towards the shed and the smell of death got stronger. He stopped a second seeing three sharp objects pierced through the wood. "I don't think we're going to like this. You wait here." He suggested and walked in. "Oh.. My god.." He said and immediately exited. His stomach churned but he fought the urge. "Don't go in there.. Lets go.."

Listening to his advice, Kei easily stepped around the beartraps, and slipped under the tripwire, meeting Dan on the otherside. They then approached a shed, and he told her to hang back. He had only gone in for two seconds before coming back out, face nearly green. "Don't go in there...let's go." He had said.
Kei was more than happy to oblige. However when she took a step forward, a flash of grey metal zoomed by her face. It was a sickly, and it had embedded itself into the wall. Had she been even one step more forward, she would have literally lost her face. Turning to right right, gun drawn, she could see one of these "villagers" behind the bush. He shouted in spanish, but Kei fired at his opened mouth, and the head exploded. Lucky shot I guess. However, more return calls in Spanish came, and three villagers were running for them. Kei quickly took the sickle that had been thrown at her, and threw it as far as she could at one of the villagers. The sharp end impaled ones eye, and he fell and stayed there. She wasn't sure if he was dead or no though. But there were still two more to worry about. Dan had seemed to take up a position as well. Kei tried to her best to shoot the weapons out of the villagers hands, but after two shots, she needed to reload. While she reached for a clip, the villagers came closer. She hoped Dan had her back.

Dan Stood there a bit stunned that his partner was almost killed by a flying sickle. He looked over after she dispatched the one who threw it then heard the other Spanish calls. They ran forth, Dan aimed but didn't shoot, he wanted a good shot and they were fidgety. One charged him and he fired at the leg, it stumbled and Dan moved out of the way as it fell to the dirt right by him. The other seemed to charge as well, Dan did the same but instead of stumbling this one seemed to fall on his knee. Dan fired again, this time in the head and he fell, Dan emptied another bullet into its head to make sure it was dead. Then he turned to the other one. Both Kei and Daniel seemed to fire on this one until it began to spasm. "LORD SADDLER!!!" The man called and stretched out his hand to reach for nothing for a few seconds before it flopped into the dirt.
"Jesus..." Dan gasped and lurched over his knees to take a few breaths. Suddenly something grabbed him from behind. The one with the sickle in his eye. Dan struggled but this man had a death grip.

Kei wasn't sure what the man scream. "Lord Saddler? That could mean anything." she said to herself. Suddenly she heard rustling behind her, and watched the man with the weapon impaled in his eye squeeze her partner's leg. She quickly reached down and yanked the sickle from his eye, and started puncturing into the man's skull as far as she could, the odd colored blood oozing out from the holes, until finally, it seemed the man had died. She drove it into his head a final time, before looking to her partner. "How is it? Can you walk?" She saw how hard that men was squeezing his leg, and it looked painful. "These guys were expecting us, they have everything set up already. Traps, guards, hidden ambushes. I can't imagine what other things they have up their sleeves."
Further down the path was a wooden bridge. There no guards or villagers in sight from where they were standing, but Kei didn't stifle her firearm. When she stepped in the middle of it, she heard men shouting in Spanish and pointing to her. Before they calmly ran off. She knew a little Spanish to understand the words "warn the others" had been said. Another bump in the road. "Shoot. Guess they'll be waiting for us...where ever we end up next." She looked back to see if her partner had followed. "Coming?"

Dan struggled until Kei finished the man off. "Ow.." Dan mumbled. He lifted up his pant leg. "How is it? Can you walk?" Kei asked him and he nodded while looking at the bright read print. "I can walk but it hurts like a sonnovabitch." He stood up and his pants leg fell back over the skin of his leg. "Shall we?" He asked and they continued forth.
Dan paused somewhere along the trail and bent down to pick up a gold coin. He thought he heard someone talking but he was amused, they have their own currency. "Shoot. Guess they'll be waiting for us...where ever we end up next." He heard his partner say. "Coming?" He heard her asked and looked up to see her looking at him. "Oh, yeah. They have their own money. A gold coin.. It almost looks like they imprinted the 'head terrorists' face on the coin." He said and tossed the coin to her. He waited until she finished inspecting it and she gave it back. He pocketed it and they both continued on. They passed near another shack. Once they passed there was a growl of a man as he charged with a sickle. Dan was quick to dispatch this one, no funny business. Something fell out of the man's pocket. It was handgun bullets. "Heh... They have bullets but no guns..." They continued through giant double doors.
"Those are some thick doors." Dan mumbled and looked around, ahead of them was the actual village, it was crawling with hostiles. "Well... This should be... 'entertaining'." He mumbled. "What now?"

Dan tossed a golden coin to her, and she examined it a bit. "Not a very noble looking guy like our quarter. Must be some forgotten Spanish hero we never heard of." Kei tossed it back, and the continued down the path. Coming down the path, the shed came into view. So many of these randomly placed buildings. The last one had a gruesome sight in it, so Kei wanted to avoid this one, too. But as they walked past it, there was the sound of someone inside, and he ran at them with sharp farming equipment. Kei didn't have her hand on her gun, and he was closer to her. She put her hands up to shield her, but heard gunshots behind her, and the villager fell in front of her feet. "Th-thank you..." she said to him, and they continued. They came across a pair of thick doors, and were quick to enter. A small trek along the path, and they could see a village, and it was filled with the villagers. They were burning something in the middle of the village square. Dan then asked for her thoughts on what they should do.
Kei wasn't even sure. Turning around to ponder, she caught sight of a small side road, that lead behind one of the barns. She motioned Dan to look, and then signaled him to follower her down it. At the end, they were covered from the square by the barn, but there was a woman shoveling hay with a pitchfork into a pile up ahead. If she turned around, she would see them. The barn door was open, and Kei pushed Dan and herself inside of it. She then started to inspect the barn walls to see any cracks or holes, to get sight of what they might be up again. When she found one, that pointed to the square, it appeared they were just going about life, like normal people. But these weren't people...they all had those sick yellow faces. Most all would use their tending equipment as weapons, so simply coming out would be a bad idea. Some tactical planning would need to be done. Even so, there were still a bunch of villagers, and Kei only had two clips left, which was thirty bullets. "I-I don't think we can fight these people..but, chances are we'll need to eliminate them..." She told her partner.

Dan was impressed she saw that route, he didn't even notice it. Once they were inside the building Kei suggested a war. "Hold that thought." Dan paused her and walked over to a nearby window. There were two houses. He pointed to the one at left (the house with the shotgun.) "You run for that one and I'll run for the one across it. If we split up we only have to deal with half of the enemies." He suggested, "If we cramp up into one small room we'll be overwhelmed, one can move faster than two." He continued and then waited for her reply. It was ludicrous but it was smart. Keeping the enemies split would relieve some hassle, besides, none of them seemed to have any guns so they would be easy enough to take down. Dan wasn't aware of Kei's ammo shortage but if she were to ask he would toss her a clip, he had three not counting the one in the chamber leading to a good sixty rounds thanks to extra random ammo he found off that dead guy.

Kei truly disliked his idea...but that was the best one they had so far. The thing was, they did not know how many there actually were, and if any of them had guns or something worse than mere gardening tools. When she was ready, she nodded, and lead Daniel back to the rear of the barn. They'd want to be as discreet as long as possible, or they might not have the chance to run. They had arrived at the first house, where Kei assumed she would make her stand. About to depart, they heard a wheelbarrow be dropped, and turned around...they'd been spotted. The man opened his mouth to scream, but Kei fired at it, his head exploding. It was worth it stifle that sound, chances are they are aware of their presence. She split of from Dan, hoping he could do his part, and ran into the house, slamming the door behind her. Inside this house, were a couple barrels, a box, and a box of bullets on a shelf. She happily took the bullets, but needed to find something to put up against the door. There was a shelf beside it, which looked like it would work. She started to put her weight against it, and moved it to block the door. When in place, the only other opening they wouldn't need to force through would be the window. Still having her weight against the shelf, this time directing it to the side against the door, she kept her gun pointed at the window waiting for the villagers.
Eventually, a few came, and shattered the window. The moment one attempted to climb in, Kei would plant a bullet into their head. She could feel the one who were still trying to force through to door were hitting it hard. One of the villagers beside the windows decided trying to come in was abad idea, and simply threw his ax at her. However, this weapon was bad for throwing, and veered to the right, breaking a barrel, which revealed to her a red cylinder. Already, she knew what this was; a flame grenade. And not a moment too soon. She could hear that the door was gone now, and all that stood between her and the villagers was the dresser. She quickly moved away from it, and the pushed it aside...while Kei popped the pin. When she was satisfied by how many were clustered together by the door, she simply tossed it beneath them, and it exploded into a small inferno. She could only smirk as she saw her adversaries burn. "Very hot in here, isn't it?" She told them spitefully, forgetting one was still beside the window. He's managed to climb in without her knowing, and grabbed her from behind. It would seem whatever happened to these villagers enhanced their strength maybe 10 fold...this man was really strong, that he lifted her up with one hand, and threw her across the small house, having her break a few boxes. Luckily, the armor protected her, as she looked for what the boxes reveal. Antiseptic spray was in one, the other empty. Her body was sore from the throw, but she'd need to deal with this man is she planned on surviving. Training to take careful aim, she pulled the trigger; miss. A second time; miss. A third, and the third is when she got contact, hitting him before he gave her the death blow with his final ax. Sighing, Kei fell back on the dirty and solid bed. The fire at the front door would keep the ones who survived away, while she watched the window, gun ready. She only hoped Daniel was fairing as well, if not better, than she.

Dan followed her to the rear of the house and they both exited and ran to the front of the door. The sound was enough. Kei fired and the head went bye bye. "Good shot-Break!" He shouted seeing they were quick to their feet. Dan ran across the dirt road, not taking notice of the burning policia and he put a shell into one of the villager's legs. He fell to his knee as predicted and Dan quickly shoved his boot into the man's face before hopping over his body and entering his own door. He closed it quickly and moved the nearest object, which turned out to be a large and heavy dresser.
Upon a quick inspection the room wasn't big and was nearly empty. Also it lacked a window. However there seemed to be another door, this one metal with a metal lock on it. He fired at the lock before a sound erupted to his ears. It roared loudly. He knew why he wasn't being focused on by the mobs, they had something else planned for him while the mobs took the smaller and "weaker" female. Dan turned around and just in time to see the wooden door and dresser get smashed to pieces by a large chainsaw. The man who walked in slowly from the wreckage wore a sack over his head which presented two eye holes to see. "You've got to be kidding.." He said, almost comedic. He fired a few shots which landed into the man's chest and he didn't even flinch. Dan ran into the room with the metal door as fast as he could. He held it then. The sound of screeching chains to metal was hurting his ears as the maniac was attempting to cut through the steel door with the chainsaw. It just might work too...
