"Found this wandering around. Do what you will." Dario threw the woman down and forced her on her hands and knees. "You look like the leader...who are you?" "My name..." "You have no right speaking!" He raised his hand across his body, with the back of his gloved hand pointed at the stranger. "A spy no doubt. Identify yourself... Now." He fell silent, as did the woman, now allowed to sit on her knees. "I-- I" She began. "Answer!" Dario ordered. She may be dressed nice enough, but anyone could have stolen it off some unwary traveler. With that, he brought his hand down across the newcomer's face, sending her spiraling to the ground. "Who... Are... You?" The woman wiped a small thread of blood from the corner of her mouth, then began to speak. "I am..."

There were so many things going on at once. The armored man was accusing her of being a spy, the studded leather man was demanding her name. When she had asked the armored man his name, the other was not happy at all, saying she had no right to talk. She was forced off her hands now, and the man demanded her name again. Stricken with fear, she was stuttering. "I---I..." "Answer!" The man shouted again, and struck her hard. She flew to the right a couple feet, and the blow strong enough to draw blood. She brushed the blood off with her sleeve. "I am..." she took a breath. "I am Lian, the Dragon's Petal...otherwise known as Irene Amelia Viper." She stood up from the ground, and stared them all down. "I am no spy, and if you have done any studies, you would know the second naming is part of the Winast culture." Irene tried to look fearless again, and started the men down once more. "Now then, I answered yours....you answer mine."

Atton kept his his stare on her as she fumbled to say her name, it wasn't until Dario hit her that he spoke up. "Enough, keep it clean." Atton warned him. The woman seemed to speak her name, and she happened to be from Winast. "Winast, that's quite a ride." Atton walked up to her and held out a hand to help her up. "Fine." He said to her demand to know who they were. "The man in the studded armor is Dario, the woman behind me is Harle. I am Prince Atton Alexandress the fifteenth of NessonDroma, and you will tell me what your business is here."

" She is our ally" the young woman spoke up for the other. She did not need explanation to know it. It was obvious yet apperantly not to her companions.
" Release her Dario. And if she be foe we shall know soon enough".
" Our rest is most important at this hour without believing that everyone we meet will be an enemy. To think this will be our downfall. I can also comprehend that we will need to be cautious".
She turned away from the three and sat near the fire. She shook her head slowly. As the land sickened so did everyone's spirit. But they only had perhaps two pieces of the puzzle.
The young woman of eighteen stood at 5 feet, 7 inches. Her skin kissed by the sun to give it a golden like hue. Her lusturious long hair was a vast constrast; It was a white-silver. She was not a waif but rather slender body type, an hourglass figure.
Her dress was strapless and floor length. Simple in desgin, no added embelishments. It clung to her body, emphasizing several areas and not others.

"Our rest is most important at this hour without believing that everyone we meet will be an enemy. To think this will be our downfall. I can also comprehend that we will need to be cautious." "Fine, Fine." With that, Dario turned around and brushed his shoulders off. "I will be back, with the last load of firewood." He walked away into the grove again.
He sat by the fire, shifting his legs sleeplessly. Incessantly, he dragged a rock across the blade of his axe, constantly checking and checking again his job at sharpening the blade. All the time, he found himself watching the newcomer. Suspicion and mistrust can make a man far less than human. The day's events continued to play in his head. The man who couldn't answer Dario's question was a prince! Why was he here, when he had gold to swim in? And the songstress, How she seemed to know the newcomer? Whether that was true or not, he couldn't be sure. Still, he brought the stone across the face of the iron wedge.
"On the trail of a-thousand souls, On the search for thousands of gold, A thousand white horses, A thousand brave men, And not but horse came back again. On the trail of Queens and Kings, In search of a cure for the blight of man, A thousand white horses....."

Irene was about to answer...but it seemed the silent woman who had been in the sidelines already knew. -So this is the rabble I signed up to fight with.- She thought to herself. Seeing that the prince still offered his hand, she quickly pulled herself up. She returned to the grove without a word, to get back her kozuka like weapon. She whistled for Kaa to come as well. The tan horse rode up in an instant, stopping at it's master's orders. She tied the horse to a tree, put the kozuka back into the sheath. Her almond shaped eyes scanned the group again. She noticed that the one named Dario had not taking his eyes off her once. Was she that threatening? She noticed him sitting, sharpening his axe. Looked fearsome, could easily cleave a tree in two. She suddenly wasn't so angry about having him as an ally. There wasn't much she could do now...this was her band now, and she did what they did. Soldiers were good at following orders...and she did her job well.
She laid down beside the fire...even in her long robes, it was still fairly cold. Times like this she longed for her home back in Winast. Placing her hand on her stomach...she felt a feeling overcome her. She knew this feeling well. It was strong enough to stop an army in it's tracks...kill entire cities at a time. She could feel it. The moment she raised her hand from her stomach...it rumbled. Hunger is what she felt. "Blast it!" she cursed to herself. "I should have taken that fish from the vendor before leaving..."

Atton shrugged with his outstretched hand when Lian refused it. He sheathed his sword, the blade was like a serpent, a gradual wave of a blade with a curious looking hilt that seemed to have a design of a beast that looked much like a magnificent bird with outstretched wings. The prince had short light brown hair for both style and tactics. Across his chin was very light and almost invisible fuzz, he would need it longer when he turned into a king, after all, beards were a sign of a strong king. Harle gave a speech and the controversy was done, it seemed as if the girl agreed, Atton nodded and sat by the fire.
Atton looked over at Dario as he was sharpening your axe, he noticed that instead of caring for his axe fully, he was more caring about the girl. Atton turned to look at her but he said nothing. 'What a charming beginning.' Atton thought with slight annoyance but withheld any emotion that said so. A wolf howled in the distance, Atton looked into the direction and gave a slight smile. "A charming beginnings indeed." He whispered to himself. It was about time to catch some strength. Morning would rise and set off with new adventures.

A wolf howled in the distance, Atton looked into the direction. Harle smiled slightly. She barely caught what he had said afterwards. "A charming beginnings indeed." He whispered to himself it seemed.
" Indeed" she murmured before preparing herself properly to retire for bed. They would need to get up early, there would be at least another day's travel from this site. Over and over a feeling tugged at her heart. The fear..... the prospect of death.
" Good night Dario, Lian and your highness"

"Good night Dario, Lian and your highness." "Night..." Dario mumbled. He stopped sharpening the blade of his axe, but still sat, watching. Shortly after Harle's exit, Dario's eyed attempted to close. As long as he could, he fought to stay awake, but soon fell asleep.
Morning came early, and far too soon, for Dario. As he did per every morning, he led his horse to water, revived the embers from last nights' fire, and looked for something to break his fast. Throughout the grove was nothing. Two, maybe three, crabapples. He set his sights to live prey. The wolves were close last night, he set out for them. Long after the sun passed above the mountains, he found a pair of stragglers. One male, and one female. They locked eyes, and immediately, the male took to howling and lunging. Dario drew a pistol And fired once, twice. He fell to the ground with the corpse of a wolf resting over his chest. The stench of the thing was gut-wrenching, and he pushed it away as quickly as he could. The female ran away at the sound of the gunshots. Dario was forced to drag the corpse back to the cooking fire without any excitement. Once he drew near the camp, he began to cleave the dog apart, not before apologizing, into cookable, and eventually edible, chunks of flesh and muscle. "Wake, my friends! The day ahead of us will be long and arduous." he put the nondescript pieces of wolf on a spit, and left it above the fire.

Atton slowly opened his eyes to the fresh day, his hair was dewy but nothing he cared enough to note. He looked over, the two females were asleep, seeing as though they weren't impaled by a dagger in their sleep, the girl was on their side. Atton then looked over to the empty deerskin blanket. The prince slowly stood up and looked around but there was no Dario in sight. Out of habit he reached over for his pouch of gold at his side, it was full.
Suddenly a few gunshots sounded not far away, a yelp was heard. Atton unsheathed his blade and began running through the woods, it wasn't until a female wolf was running towards him that he stopped. The wolf stopped and looked at him while giving out a small whimper. "What happened?" Atton asked the animal but of course, didn't expect any human answer. Atton was fond of wolves, always had been since he was a child and saw one of castle criers walking around with a trained wolf. The crier had taught Atton a quick way to gain a wolf's respect but this one was frightened. Was someone out poaching wolves? "Wake, my friends! The day ahead of us will be long and arduous." Words came out in the direction of the camp. Atton placed his gauntleted hand over his mouth. "Oh god.." Dario had a gun.
By the time Atton got back to the camp the other two were awake and over the fire was fresh meat. "What have you done?" Atton growled at the man and walked over. "This better be a deer." He warned but it was obviously not a deer. Any appetite that Atton awoke with was now gone. Atton fought his temper as he was trained to do so and looked at Dario. "You shame your ancestors. Wolves are noble animals, even more so than either of us. They are not food." Instead of pressing the subject Atton just shook his head and mounted his horse. "I'm going to get water, I cannot bare to watch such a sight." Atton rode off in the direction of a known stream nearby and sat by the water, fighting his temper yet again, this man was an ally, he couldn't let this misunderstanding affect the mission.

"Everybody needs Love in this world, Everybody needs somebody To give love in this world."
Innvas hummed in the background as he listened to the woman's voice sing. He watched the woman take a seat in an invisible chair and then she took off her forest green cloak's hood. When the woman took off her hood, she revealed a beautiful face with green eyes and long, braided brown hair. Innvas smiled at her and she smiled back before she opened her mouth to sing some more.
"I can't do it all alone, But I can give it my all. We need angels in this world,"
She closed her mouth and then began to hum. Innvas nodded his head and opened his mouth. It was his turn... "Angels of love, Angels of hope, Angels of wisdom, Angels for all So I will be..." "I will be..." An angel to...to somebody..."
Innvas finished the song and turned to the woman. She smiled at him and she stood up from her invisible chair. "Innvas... Good morning." She said and Innvas replied with a good morning right after. "Well... I'm glad to see that you are all well... Remember to prepare yourself for the new day..." She finished and then left the room.
"Auvyon!" Innvas ran to the door and looked around. When he couldn't see her, he kicked up some dirt and growled. "You always do that. Disappear, reappear, disappear, reappear, disappear, reappear. The Gods! Make up your mind..." He shook his head and then closed the door. "Might as well prepare for the day..."
And so he did. The man re-wrapped his head with a black cloth to cover his face and then he moved on to fixing his black shirt and pants . After the fixing was done, he took his green cloak and put it on. He then pulled on some nice gloves and boots. "Agh.. the gloves, the boots, and the cloak... they are a little big..." He said, but that's what happens...He had stolen it from a dead hunter's home a while back, but hey, it was 'free'.

When the young woman awoke she heard the harsh words that came from Atton. She could feel the anger that radiated from the young man. He was in turmoil, she had an idea of why. Wolves in most cases were viewed as majestic and nobles animals. Maybe this lead to something much deeper than that though.
She took privacy behind a large boulder and changed to her other dress. She then brushed her hair, trying to get the knots out of it. It took several attempts at her part. But the maiden prevailed.
Harle then stepped out from behind the boulder, repacking her things properly. She then ventured forth to find Atton. She walked some distance before finding the young man. She slowly walked to the sitting man.
The songstress was about ten paces away from the heir to NessonDroma. She assumed that he needed time but they couldn't fight at this moment. Not now.
" You know that everything dies eventually, right? They are nobles creatures, but to slay one to survive has happened before you know. You haven't really experienced much beyond the walls of your castle have you?" she questioned the other man. She wasn't looking for an answer but for him to just simply listen.
" Food is scarce in times like these. Even simple things such as potatoes are harder to gather. We have to find ways to survive".

Irene, it seemed, had found her allies. They must have been thinking the same thing about her. Either way, she soon noticed that she had woken up to smell of food cooking. It didn't smell like poultry or livestock meat she would smell back home. She wanted to know what it was. Standing up from where she had slept, she approached the fire, where the others were conglomerating. Suddenly, the Prince started yelling at the other man. Scolding him about murdering wolves. Then then woman spoke up, talking the prince down, and saying that all is fair in the name of survival. There was no arguing with that.
She's never eaten anything other than the food supplied to the Winast military, which was never wolf meat. The beast that was hunger unleashed fury, in the form of a loud growl. She groaned, and looked over at the horses. They were grazing happily on the grass. "Wish we could ingest grass...food would never be a problem..." She noticed her horse, Kaa, slowly make it's way to the little pile of crab apples. He took one, devoured it, and simply walked off. "Must be his way of spiting me.." she told herself, watching the carcass cook. -Is it almost ready?- her mind asked.

Dario was sitting on the ground, cooking on a large, flat stone. The carcass was long since gone, as was the Prince of Wherever in the name of the stars they were. He laughed out of pity, and merely said "more for me." Harle walked after him, leaving the still sleeping Lian alone with Dario. As the meet browned, She woke up and dazedly looked out to where the horses were foraging. She looked towards the cooking stone, then at her own stomach. "Ahai, stranger. I am sorry for last evening's confrontation, I must admit. I fear the meat is not quite done, though It could," he took a chuck and tore into the center, "be eaten now, if you wish." He pooped the defiled piece of flesh in his mouth. It was coarse, grainy, and none to tasteful. But it was food, which they all had none of. he pushed some of it around on the slab, and called to the others, fairly far from the camp, "Food's hot, and I would suggest you have some, unless you're content not eating 'till the morrow." Despite the Prince's words, he took another piece and slowly chewed it.

Atton picked up a stone nearby and tossed it into the stream. The crackling of a twig signaled someone was by him and she was quick to speak. She spoke of how it was for survival. Things die, sure, and there is little food but not as little as she would assume. Atton stood up. "I understand the need for food and I don't need a lecture on life and death." He said with a restraint venom. He paused and shook his head. "My apologies. Wolves, they're not just flesh to me." He said softly. "Besides, even if it is for survival will we really be alive when our morals and customs die along with the other species of our land? The creatures that give us strength?... And..." He paused as a voice was heard in the distance, he could make out some of the words and he didn't like as single one of them. Atton shook his head, he wasn't going to finish his sentence. "If it's for survival then go eat. I will not think ill of you. I'm going to stay here a little longer, I will not dishonor my soul for a bite to eat. I will be with you shortly and we will continue to Amose."
