I should have been paying attention but I didn't, so I ended up running straight into the bitch. She pushed me away defensively growling out threats, I didn't stop, I just continued faster. They were just people trying to keep themselves safe getting into a f-kalghlkahgalewkjfaewlchf athklajf adf dlkjfakl ahfoew hfafklejflkeajflk a jhdlk;af aljfda erelkarhlk aflkaj ;af jldfaldjf dlkeiouroaincy akfoeraoco troeaopr haoeyac OVER... Suddenly my mind went clear I could think again. I was on my knees, my eyes wide at my chest. A few good sized red crystals were jutting out of me, I could feel it, it hurt. "Jesus... Christ." The ground around me was completely frozen, Ice crystals were on the ground as if they had fallen from the sky in some kind of Christmas wonder. I forced the crystals of my blood back into my body. I don't know what the damage was on my insides but it felt like I had two massive cuts. "We'll... Talk..." I gasped out. I submit, if he wants to try to employ me... Well... There's not much I could do, is there? I was so focused on my own damage, I didn't even notice he was bleeding as well.
---
Rina kept an eye on the man who had run into her. A head randomly peeked out from one of the trees, Rina didn't think too much on him until the man who bumped into her stopped suddenly. Right when he stopped the temperature suddenly changed and it was colder than it was before. "Over... Here." Nathan demanded. Rina looked over at Nathan and her eyes went wide, he was starting to bleed. His power must have extreme effects. Rina wouldn't stop him yet, though, they needed this ice asshole. When she turned back to the man he was walking towards them, the ground was freezing and slight flashes could be seen around him, they were ice shards so light they were fluttering around him, did they really want him to get close? Perhaps the ice freak is controlling it as a defense. "We just want to talk." Suddenly Rina would find out that the ice man wasn't being defensive as red spike seem to protrude from his stomach, she immediately clasped her mouth but let go and looked to Nathan. "Let go of him!" After she said that the man fell to his knees and slowly composed himself. Rina was still in shock, did he try to commit suicide? Could that have ripped open vital organs? Did he have vital organs? "We'll... Talk..." Whatever happened, they succeeded, lets just hope they didn't just kill him practically.

"--f him!" Nat couldn't hear. It sounded like he was underwater. He stumbled forward, tripped on his other boot heel as he tried to catch himself, and fell to his knees. His knees were swimming in the puddle of his blood. The jeans were deep red, there, and the color was slowly seeping into the rest of the pants. He breathed through his mouth in dragging gasps. His mouth and lungs felt like they were, too, swimming. He leaned forward and drained his mouth and throat of the copper-tasting stuff. What happened? can power-users not interact? are they like pushing the same poles of two magnets at each other? Nat saw the Iceman and realized that it may, in fact, be true. He coughed and spit up a lump of bloody phlegm. "We'll... Talk..." Nat rocked off his knees, so that he was sitting on a little knoll of grass. "Not as planned." Going to his apartment was out of question, because he doubted if he could even move his legs, let alone use them."I need help. We need help. You've turned me down before. I'm not giving you a choice in the matter any more. I've seen what you can do. Now you know, full-well, what I can do. Rina saved your ass this time. I've never been a good listener, though, so you can't count on it again." Nat's voice sounded tinny with blood coating his throat and lungs. He coughed violently, and sat back up. "Here's why we need you -- Rina, help me up?"
-------------------------------------------------
Kyle spent a very long time that night plotting. Oh, how he hated every fucking rat he had to work with here. He would kill them all too.
But the dark tendrils still bothered him. What was that? or they? Who was talking to him? What, exactly, did he see? Or did he see nothing at all?

I was breathing hard, I could feel something wet in my mouth... Well wetter than usual. I spat, slight globs of blood and frozen chunks of blood flew from my mouth. I looked up at the two, the man was in serious straights as well. Wait... Now I recognized him, what was his name? "Nathaniel..." I whispered to myself. He began speaking, telling me of how I refused him before and then made threats. I laughed a little, we both seemed to cough. The girl seemed to help the man up. Not allowing myself to look smaller, I held my stomach and pulled myself up slowly, it was painful, I couldn't help but groan, when I was up it was easier. I allowed myself to laugh again, a few coughs and hacks letting loose. "You... Dick..." I gasped then composed myself. "I risk my life to save your sorry ass... From dozens of men... Then you stalk me, then you almost.. Kill me. Now... You're forcing me to... Help you?" It was difficult to place venom into my voice, I was fucked up, but so was he. I shook my head. "I fail to see... Any motivation... To help you... Your threats... Are nothing.. You do it again... And you'll kill both of us..." I staggered a bit, trying to make sure I didn't fall back. I succeeded in holding my footing. I glared at the both of them, what did I do to them to deserve this?
---
They were both screwed up. Both of them were bleeding and on the ground. Rina shook her head, guilt filled her thoughts, it was she who told Nathan to act. When she knelt down to help him up she went in close to his ear. "Nathan, I'm so sorry.. I didn't know." She whispered, slightly frantic. She pulled him up with great effort and helped him to a nearby bench. The ice man wasn't going to bite, now that Rina thinks of it, she couldn't blame him. For all that man knew they attacked him. She decided to keep her mouth closed this time, she was far beyond distraught and too emotional to do any persuasion, hopefully Nathan could think something up.

"Look, buddy," Nat spat a blood and saliva cocktail, "I didn't know this shit would happen. All I wanted was," spit, " to persuade you. You want to hold a grudge, fine," spit and a coughing fit, "fine, but go ahead and remember than now we're, for all I know, the only two people in this world with some sort of special power." Spit, and his mouth was starting to clear up. his face, though, still smelt and felt like it was encrusted in blood, "And we both want something. I want some help finding my wife, her sister. What do you want? We'll make a deal. I won't kill either of us. In return, we find Christine and then do whatever the fuck you want. "The way I see it, there aren't a terrible number of choices." Nat looked intensely at Iceman while he played with the change in his pocket. "Unless you're fucking Superman, that is. Then you wouldn't need any help. Then you can go fuck yourself. I've seen what you can do. I've seen what you can't." Nat looked longingly towards his apartment, where his comfortable bed was, where he still had (mostly) running water to clean himself up. That's the brilliance of New York. Any building as high as most apartment complexes are fed by a water tower, where gravity does it. His building still had enough water to take a bath in the kitchen sink and still fill water bottles for the rest of the day, when he left. "Are you going to shake my hand this time, or will I have to try to kill us again?"

I listened and didn't interrupt. I thought hard for any use I'd have with this man but I couldn't think of a damn thing he could do for me other than make me and himself blow up. "Unless you can.. Go back in time, you don't have anything I want." I said, the venom left my voice, I was being serious. "I don't need a partner... Especially if I have to make sure he doesn't kill himself... I'm not a baby sitter. Finding one person..." I paused, swallowing small amounts of blood and spit. "Is impossible in this city. Just stay.. Out of my way... And you can look among the rubble when I'm finished.."
---
Rina's eyebrows lowered as she clinged close to her brother-in-law. Search among the rubble? Was this guy planning on purging the whole place by destroying it? Rina shook her had and stood up, walking quickly and threatening towards the man. "You listen here you frozen freak!" She growled, freely pointing her finger within inches of his face. "You're going to help us find my sister. If you work with my brother she will come to us. From the looks of things now, you're fucked. I'll take my brother home and leave you here hurt and bleeding. From what my brother said, you're not too popular here go fight off the Snakes when you can barely. even. stand." With that she shoved him and as she expected he fell straight on his back, gasping out small bits of frozen blood shards. "You're not invincible and you're not a fucking atom bomb. Clearing up this city will take time, sweat, and blood. What happens if you get hurt? Who will save your ass? Don't even worry about my sister. You scratch our back, we'll scratch yours as partners." On the ground the man started to bust out laughing with slight coughs here and there. When he could compose himself he gasped out words. "Fine.. Fine! But if you explode it's on you! Jeeees-us man, if your wife is anything like her sister I'd get a divorce!" Rina sucked in hair harshly to calm her nerves so she doesn't freak out at having just stood up to a man who could kill her at a wave of a hand. "So it's settled... You guys wait here." A minute later, head lights could be seen near one of the car passage roads nearby. She left the stolen truck and helped Nathan to the car, the ice man staggered to it slowly and got in. With Nathan's directions they got to the apartment...

Nathan sat in the passenger seat of the truck, low enough that his knees were constantly hitting against the glove box in front of him. His eyes would dart from the road, to Rina, the Icy, and back to the road constantly. With a final turn (A left off 89th to West End) he pointed to a very tall building from the brick-and-iron era. A wrought-iron fence ran the perimeter and all the windows on the bottom floor were in matching cages. The lawn was spotty from numerous dogs using it as a toilet (who could blame them?), but there was a flower bed in the bed against the building that had some flourishing Irish Moss climbing up the wall and struggling Tulips that looked pretty good against the backdrop of most of New York. Nat pulled himself out of the cab fairly easily, picked around in his pocket, and withdrew a small key that, based on the brand stamp, belonged to a large Masterlock, looking odd and gaudy with it's chrome finish against the blackened iron fence. "A gated community." Nat laughed a little despite himself, "Ask me a year ago, and I would've turned it down in an instant. 'Only old ladies live in those things,' probably." The fence creaked open and Nat shut and locked it again once all three were inside. He had to struggle with the broken lock, taking almost three minutes to snap it back into place before the tooth finally caught on the locking mechanism. "About eight days out of the week, I'm pretty sure that the lock is more trouble than it's worth. But Ol' Marzetti likes to think that the lock can keep reality out of his building. And technically, I still have to pay him rent." As if on cue, a very large man with a sparse covering of hair on top of his head pushed open the door, and pushing his beer gut out, greeted them all with his standard "Buon giorno a voi!" "How're you, Mister Marzetti?" "Ah I been fine, Nathaniel, just good. The old lady in the room above you though! Oh ho! she's not having a good day!" his double chin formed a neatly-shaped mountain of fat on his neck whenever he opened his mouth wide, letting his years living off of Coors and Twinkies disappear into the massive space under his stained white tank top and blue jeans. "What happened today?" "She fell and started beating on the walls, looking for the aliens that tripped her, or something." "Great. Mister Marzetti, this is Rina, my sister-in law, and a friend. They're just going to stay in my room for a couple days, okay?" "She's fine. but I don;t like the looks of him. Looks like a troublemaker." "He's fine, M. besides, when have I let you down before?" "Last month, you were late on your rent!" "I was late by three hours! Do you know how hard it is to find a damn Hostess truck any more? Fine, before then?" "Can't think of any." "So, they can stay?" "Fine, fine. Gate's locked?" "Locked." "Come in friends, come in!"
After Mr. Marzetti let the trio through the main lobby, and led them on the grand tour, they were allowed to head upstairs. All the way through the building, Marzetti was only not shoving a Ho-Ho in his mouth when he was offering one to one of them. Nat took one, out of common courtesy, and stuffed it in his pocket.
His apartment was on the third floor. The elevator had been more frightening than the encounter in the park, by Nat's estimate, but they were let off the shaky, creaky, slow-moving lift relatively unharmed. In Nat's state, the likelihood of him making 6 flights of stairs in an hour was slim-to-none, let alone the five minutes the Elevator made the trip in. The room was decidedly underwhelming, given the fancy gates and lobby and general rich-retiree air about the rest of the building. The walls were Eggshell, the kitchen was Linen, and the carpet was Ivory. "At least nothing in the place was white," Nat said and tossed a coat onto the rack beside the door. With some help, he was able to pull out the hide-a-bed under his couch. It was adorned with Lilly-colored and leopard-print sheets. Nat walked through a door in the back, through another door in that room, and quickly found something, annunciated with a muttered "Ah-ah!" and re-entered the main room with a very large bottle of antiseptic spray and a roll of medical tape, that fancy vinyl tape with a non-sticky, adhesive, anti-biotic backing on it. "I wish I could dress my wounds this easily..." Nat sighed, grinding flakes of the dried blood under his nose to a crimson paste. "I can't Band-Aid the inside of my head. My turn at the sink first."

I kept quiet and kept my cool when the disgusting man didn't trust me. I followed them, listening. I could hear the girl laughing softly when a Ho-Ho was being offered to us. I just shook my head, muttered a deep "nuh uh". Sugar made my blood sugar thick and my powers lack, besides, I couldn't take it after wondering which giant titty he pulled it out from, guy must have a refrigerator under there. Finally we were to the apartment. I looked longingly at the couch but then it was turned into a bed, I grunted and sat on it without being invited to. Nathan walked off and got medical supplies, I had figured it was for him but when he mentioned that they would do nothing for him I realized it was for me. "How kind." I muttered, I didn't mean it but my voice sounded slightly ungrateful. When Nathan left for the shower the girl was quick to me. "Okay, take off your jacket and shirt." "Huh? No." "Look, you want me to treat you? If not you're gonna bleed to death so be a good boy." She leaned in close, threatening. "And strip." I grunted again. Working with these people is going to be a nightmare. Before long I was sitting there, my eyes plastered to the ceiling while I felt her extremely warm fingers press against my chest, I was more than uncomfortable, not only because I was hurt but because I was being touched in ways I deemed inappropriate since I was a child. The woman whose name seemed to be Rina had yelled at Nathan from outside the door about stitching supplies. She was told about a sewing kit. She walked back to me. "Damn, you practically exploded." She muttered and I shook my head without commenting. "If you could unfreeze your wound then doing this would be much easier... Besides, your skin will never be able to recover if it's preserved in ice." I grunted again and forced the ice over my chest to dissipate. She muttered something then I felt a sharp pain, I didn't look down, I just groaned. "Jesus, you're a wimp. It's just a needle." She laughed and pressed it into me again, I could feel something sliding across my skin. "What... Are you doing?" I asked defensively. "I'm stitching your gash, considering the fact you froze it, I don't think anti-biotics will be necessary." She said freely and continued jabbing me. "Where'd... You learn all this?" I asked, anxious to keep my mind off the needle and my wound, as well as he invasion of my privacy. "Medical runs through my family, my dad was a doctor and my mom a nurse. I'm no doctor but I did pick up some stuff since my childhood... What's your name?" "Frosty." "Uh huh... I don't see no top hat. What's your name?" "Why does it matter?" "Because I don't wanna be affiliated with someone named after Frosty the Snowman." "Hmph. Fine, my name is Aaron."
---Later---
The few weeks went along well, Rina tended to Aaron, making sure he was fine enough, he healed quickly but what could she expect from a power user? Nathan got better much faster, she even gave him a long lecture on overusing his power, apparently that night gave her quite the fright. There were times when Mr. Marzetti came by telling of stolen items and accusing Aaron, Aaron and the others would deny it even though it was in the next room. Rina forced Aaron to take blistering hot showers, the first night was a frozen hell for Rina and Nathan. At first Aaron argued but when he did he noticed he was still able to use his power, amazingly enough some color actually came to his body. Aaron was starting to relax with these two but the time is coming for them to get to work.
Meanwhile... The city was still at war, it seemed someone new was manipulating the gangs, from the Lost Sons to the Snakes. There were three other gangs, the second largest just under the Lost Sons was East Coast Massive, probably the most controlled bunch, more of an organized crime mafia than a gang. The final was the smalest gang just under the Snakes but probably the craziest called the Brotherhood of Inferno. A new group seemed to form the last two days, they grew quick but then just ceased, they havent moved at all to take land from rival gangs, they haven't yet done anything but get their name out. The Archangels, rumors have it a beautiful goddess is the leader of the group, whether they were holy or not is yet to be seen. Their actual location is unknown.

Kyle was driving, and not alone for the first time in days. He had his crew with him and (despite Rico having taught him to drive just for the occasion) he felt good about the day. It was getting chilly, winter was coming soon. With a free hand he absentmindedly thumbed at the scarred left side of his face, from the pit where his ear used to be, and where only very little remained, to his collarbone, following the twisting sinewy scars. For the first time since the accident, he touched his cheek, surprised that the skin was, for the most part, closing up the holes where people used to be able to see his mouth and jaw through. Now there were mostly pinholes along the jawline, and a single, dime-sized hole that seemed to heal as an open hole, like he gaged it. Studied his arm, still an angry red, but covered wholly by scabby flesh. A good piece better than the exposed muscle and bone that it used to be, although, he suspected that he'd never gain full use of that arm again. Kyle took a left too fast, raising hoots and yells from behind him. Slowed down, and stopped at a curb. He heard a rumor that the Archangels were around here, somewhere in the no-more-seedy-than-before-the-crisis red light district. Everyone piled out of the car, and started shaking down all the buildings. most were empty, but a few were selling adult DVD's for virtually anything that could be some sort of currency. "No luck, man." "Whatever. crappy lead anyways." Kyle venomously spat back. "Rico, man. What do you think?" "About what?" Rico had been in the gang since just before the crisis, but he and Kyle shared ranks. "My name, man." "Kyle?" "No, you dumbass. These fuckers call you 'Big Dawg'. What's-his-face back at Home is called 'Boss'. I like, like, 'Venom', or something. what do you think?" They were walking back the the car, Rico on the sidewalk nearest the buildings, breaking every window he passed. Kyle was on the other side, alternatively watching the steel melt under his spit, or hitting it with a bat so that the alarm went off. Kyle took obvious pleasure in both activities. "What about 'Reptile'?" "Like that. Kinda mean-sounding, but not cliche`." "Yeah." "I dunno, I'll try it out later." "Let's keep looking. Five-Oh gave me a few leads."
------------------------
Nat set up a gourmet meal up in the living room, consisting of Hot Pockets and canned fruit. He was sitting on the couch, Rina was on the opposite side, looking out of the window, seemingly sad, or thoughtful, or something depressing, to Nat. Aaron was in an over-stuffed recliner across the small room. Between them, in the middle of the room was a black leather ottoman that acted, in recent weeks, as a table, a chair, a bed (once, when the hide-away got stuck), a blueprint, a paper, a map of the city, and, occasionally, a footrest. "So, we've pretty much figured out sleeping arrangements, and I don't know about you, Aaron, but I think I'm done bleeding profusely for the time being. But I think it's time for us to talk about something a little more pressing." True, Aaron had healed well, and Nat, as inexplicably as always, seemed to be mostly fine after the initial massive hemorrhage. The sleeping arrangements were also reasonable, Nat deciding that the same people shouldn't be tortured with the Hide-Away every night and opting to rotate between the hideaway and his main bed. It also wasn't a very big secret that Nat was deftly afraid of, on one of the nights they both had the Hide-Away and Aaron had his bed, that he'd mistake Rina for Christine. If it's happened yet, Rina hadn't said anything, but he was still a little nervous. "We had a deal, Aaron, if you'll remember. And our plan was to start cleaning up the city, to attract attention to ourselves. Be like Superman, or something. As it stands, the biggest problem around here is gangs. Big surprise. I say that we target the Snakes. Everyone gets their two cents, but wait for me to finish. They're the smallest, and will, obviously, make almost no impact outside of their territory. But that could be all we need, and if we can get some of the city on our side, it will be easier to take on the big ones. ECM is a damn mafia, we can't take them alone if we three were bulletproof. and the Lost Sons are just too big. we'd have the entire city on us if we targeted them. "I don't see any other options. There's that other gang out there, Arch-somethings, but they don't even have a territory. It's pointless to get them. Long story short, we need a plan, and all we have is a novel idea and a good imagination, so far."

I folded my legs on the recliner, the back was down and I was practically laying. I didn't have to look at the map, I practically memorized the damn thing, Rina and Nathan made rough sketches of the gang territory. He wanted to go from the ground up, to be honest I would've rathered we started from the top to get rid of dangers before they're aware of us but I'll agree. "Fine. What about the Brotherhood of... Fire guys? I heard they were pretty small... Then again, the Snakes are just school house bullies, we beat up their boss and they'll practically join us, right?" I was never in a regular school but I did have my own bullies. Memories flashed in my mind and I grunted. I just want to see some action.
---
Rina sat there staring at the window, not even listening to the guys in their little war council. Her thoughts were elsewhere, on something she regretted, something she could never tell the boys near her. Her hand moved to her face and it glided across her cheek as if she was curious about how her skin felt, then she just dropped it and snapped out of her dilusions, masking her face. "So it's time?" She stood up and walked over to the table and the old Rina was back. "Now you listen here, boys. Don't think because I'm a girl that I'm not part of this, I'm going to want into the action." She immediately looked at Nathan. "And there's nothing you can say to dissuade me! I want to help." "Then you'll stay here like a good girl." Aaron said and she shot him a venemous look that he didn't even see since his eyes were plastered on the ceiling. Rina walked over and kicked his leg, knocking the folded legs apart, Aaron's attention went to her. "Look here you meat popsicle, neither you can get anywhere without drawing attention to your retarded selves, I've played this game before and I've won many times." Aaron started laughing. "Played before? How many cities of hell were you in?" She couldn't think of a way to counter so she kicked the recliner and Aaron continued laughing freely, only contributing to her impatience and annoyance. "I'm going with, you can't stop me." "Oh?" Aaron sat up, the room temperature began to drop. "I believe you can be." "Nathan... He's doing it again." Rina complained, it wasn't the first time Aaron had threatened to freeze her or freeze the area around her to keep her in one spot or to keep her from doing something.
---
Marco and Luis followed behind Kyle and Rico, unable to create any damage from the destructive bunch in front of them. Marco walked closer. "Reptile sounds pretty coo." Luis laughed and shoved Marco violently as the man stumbled into the street. "Fuckin' faggot, who says cool like that anymore?" He teased and Marco began to laugh but then he just changed and stopped dead, his skin losing color instantly. "Oh shit? Kyle, Rico, da fuck is wrong with Marco?" From Kyle's view, it wasn't Marco, it was a dark figure, trendrils escaping the body, the only notable feature are two pulsating ruby eyes. The former Marco ran towards Kyle and gripped his shoulders. "FINAL DESTINATION!" Marco shouted, only to Kyle, it wasn't Marco. The voice evil was back. "DO NOT DANCE WITH HER" "KISS HER" Marco's shoulder was melting, Kyle might've spat at him defensively or a drop of his sweat might've splashed on Marco, but Marco wasn't feeling anything. "FILL HER STOMACH WITH ACID" "ACCEPT HER!" With that the dark figure lunged away from Marco towards Kyle, a large mouth opening wide as if it was gonna eat him but then it vanished. All that was left was a sack of skin that was one Marco, no bones, no insides, just a green goup with skin in the middle, two eyes sat on the side of the gutter but that was all that remained. Neither Rico or Luis ever saw the dark tendriled beast, all they saw was a dead friend screaming at one of the most dangerous people in the city. Final Destination, one of them may know that name, it was a night club here in New York, actually owned by ECM until the terrorist attack, they then changed their name and moved over to the coast for a better, more profitable edge on the city. The club was actually just a block away, a few beautiful females sat in front of it, on the inside the sound of Marilyn Manson's Sweet Dreams was echoing forth. An abundance of women, some completely naked, some half, some wearing clothes were pleasuring some of the guys, those who werent were dancing, there was not one that you wouldn't look twice at.

"Aaron, turn off the A/C before I'm forced to blow us up again. Seriously, can we be adults for five minutes? "Yeah, those Inferno guys are small. But toppling them will require slapping thee people silly. Too small. They own, like, one apartment building on the west side. We're probably a bigger gang than them. The snakes have a reputation, the Snakes have money, and like you said, the Snakes are easy to influence and are only on that side of the alliance so long as it's the winning side. A few more WARM bodies would be helpful. Jesus, it isn't like I can just walk over to the thermostat and turn the heater on, you know. "Rina, calm down. The last people that tried to solve their problems with punching them in the throat were the Soviets. We cans see how well that worked. You can come, sure. But either you'll need to find an armory, or we'll need to dip you in a vat of nuclear waste, because I happen to know that every Snake carries at least one large-caliber handgun. The first ones into the gun shop and they got away with hunting revolvers, most of them. hat's your plan about that?"
-----------------------------------
Kyle backed away very slowly. The puddle that was his lackey was still foaming and sizzling. Rico and what's-his'face were looking between him and Puddles with nervous glances. "Who here knows 'Final Destination'?" "Like, the movie?" "No, dumbass. Rico?" "There's a club down that way that, well, at least used to be called that." "Good. let's go." Kyle kept bashing in car's headlights.
The cement building resembled a bomb shelter more than it did any sort of club. Kyle walked inside, ignoring the groping the women in front of the building were doing. Inside, the light was so low it might as well have been unlit. Only sparse black lights illuminated stages and the bar. Kyle was grateful, for a moment. In so low light, they were treating him like a normal human for once. Even if they were only hoping to suck him off and get payed, they were being nice. Rico and What's-His-face were following a long ways behind him, still, but the women seemed to latch onto him with reckless abandon. Kyle shoved them off every time. He supposed he'd know which one the black thing was talking about when she came. If it was talking about a special one. That black thing seemed to be able to do a lot more than this, so making a stripper it's puppet would be easy, he figured.

I didn't stop my smile but I stopped forcing the temperature change, they'll just have to live with it until the temperature drops back down. I left the chair and began walking towards the door. "I'm gonna go get some fresh air." I mumbled and left. As I made my way down the stairs (I didn't trust the elevator), I thought about Rina and her persistance. She was like an annoying child always wanting to be a part of everything and then screaming if she doesn't get her way. I made my way out of the building towards the gate. When I hit the gate a thought came to mind, if I left now I wouldn't have to deal with this. The gate creaked open but then I stopped myself, I'll stay for now...
---
"Fine... I'll stay as backup... And I do have quite a charm, I can get places a popsicle and an man without acting lessons cannot." She wasn't completely satisfied with her decision but she wasn't going to be left here, and that's what mattered. She watched Aaron run off to go pout, just like he did a few days ago. When the door closed Rina growled and threw her arms up in the air. "Jesus, Nat! Where did you get this guy? He's like a child! He doesn't know common courtesy and he doesn't know how to behave. Are you sure this is the guy you want to work with?" Rina noticed Nathan had picked up a hot pocket, she wanted to chew on something but the plate of them were too far, Nathan was closer, she reached out and gnabbed it then took a large bite out of it, chewing unpleasantly.
---
When the three entered, the girls were quick to the draw. Two of them ran out, one of them went for Rico the other went for Kyle. It took a second but Luis was soon noticed by one in the darkness as well. The one that went for Kyle began grabbing at his clothes but was soon knocked to the ground like an annoying fly, she moved to double team Rico. As Kyle progressed through things went quiet, the girls all stopped to look at Kyle, the men that were being entertained looked around curiously. That's when her voice came. "Ah... My ladies, we are in the presence of a conduit." The figure began moving towards Kyle, the naked women made way for her. A spotlight seemed to shine over Kyle, as the woman approached, in the darkness she looked like she was slightly middle-aged but when she moved in front of Kyle and into the light, she was no older than he, not by a day. Silver hair reached down to her back, her dress was white and hung down to her feet, a floral design spiraling down it. She looked like she may have been wearing a wedding dress or an expensive ballroom dress. Her warm hand lifted to touch Kyle's ruined cheek, her finger circling around the holes and dips. The women commenced what they were doing, none bothered the two. The music commenced as well. The woman moved in close to Kyle's ear. "Some of them want to use you..." She sang in sync with Marilyn Manson. "Some of them want to be used by you..." Her hand went down to her dress and she yanked, ripping the funnel in half and making the expensive garment into an improvised skirt. Black webbed stockings went down her white legs to white high heels. The woman danced around to Kyle's back and slid down him like a pole to a crouched position then back up, rubbing her hands up his shirt. "I chose this song for you." She started again. "...Dance with me." She sang seductively.

"Jesus, Nat! Where did you get this guy? He's like a child! He doesn't know common courtesy and he doesn't know how to behave. Are you sure this is the guy you want to work with?" Nat watched morosely as his Hot Pocket was stolen, and reached for another. "Well, it was Aaron or nothing, as far as I know. Unless you have a bunch of super-heroes in your Speed Dial, we've gotta work with what we've got. And what we've got is a reluctant Popsicle with an attitude problem." Nat leaned further out the window, "Who knows that I can hear the gate creaking and that I'll just hunt his ass down again if he left!" And drew himself back into the couch next to Rina. He sighed unpleasantly, "What're the chances, you think, of actually finding her? No bullshit. I mean, she was in that damn hospital when it got the hell blown out of it. Are we just chasing ghosts?"
---------------------------------------
"...Dance with me." Kyle could almost feel her lips, warm and velvety, against his skin as she danced around him. She danced, and she let her hands explore his body, and she went around him, and around him, and around him... Kyle breathed in her scent, flowery, and closed his eyes. The scene in the street flashed into his mind's eye, he froze. As she made another seductive pass in front of him, he took her shoulder, as gently as she could, and pulled her forward. There was a moment's hesitation, then she came. her eyes closed, luscious lips parted. Kyle tried to imitate, as best as he could. Her arms wrapped around his body, he did the same. Finally, they made contact. She moaned, Kyle did his best to follow the dark-thing's commands. He kissed, and kissed, and she pulled away, and he pulled her back, and he continued. The lights seemed far brighter than when he entered, and it felt burning, he was the only thing people were paying attention too: the monstrous kid with the whore. A little like those old Disney movies. He pulled away when she stopped moaning from seductive pleasure, and with wide eyes, began moaning, then screaming, with pain. He held onto her, no longer kissing, but muffling her shrieks. Her body went limp in his arms, he let go, let the whore hit the floor like a sack of meat. Ground beef, haha. Kyle backed away, wiped his mouth on his sleeve, and waited, with an impatient stare and an accomplished grin.

Rina listened and rolled her eyes, she hated to admit it but he was right, they needed Aaron. She walked back to her window and sighed, listening to Nathan talk about chasing ghosts. "No..." She whispered. "We're not chasing ghosts... I wouldn't be here if-..." She stopped herself and turned around to Nathan. "We're going to find her. We're not going to let anything stand in our way."
---
The kiss lasted long until it wasn't a kiss, it was murder. The girl's body hit the floor and didn't budge after that, blood ran down her cheek and puddled on the floor. The strippers ceased pleasing and just stood there staring out into space. The girl's lifeless blue eyes stared up at the void... That is until it began to hint and grow brighter until they were as bright as the light Kyle stood under. The Manson song went around for its third loop, the women in the room started to convulse, their eyes, too, lighting up. A few of them began to scream in pain. The men began to push them away and back up. A breath of air filled the girl's lungs and the women let out another screech before tackling the men, ripping them apart with teeth and nails. All but Kyle and his lackies. A force brought the girl up, still limp until she finally took control of her body, smiling crazily at Kyle. "So..." She said, her voice not as angelic as before, in fact it was quite the opposite. "You seek to use me... He's watching you." She let out a laugh as the screams of the men continued. Suddenly silence, the last man had drawn his last breath. The women began to circle around the girl, Kyle, and his grunts, all bloody and lifeless. "I shall help you, Reptile." She said with a wicked laugh. "But first... You must make..." She floated close to him and kissed his hurt cheek then moved her head around to his good ear. "You must make love to me..." She whispered, bringing her hand up and stroking his cheek. The blood didn't stop seeping from her parted lips. Her glowing eyes had one emotion, deep obsession.

"We're going to find her. We're not going to let anything stand in our way." Nat looked up at her face and smiled, somewhere between one of disbelief and one of gratefulness. He quickly went back to take another malicious bite out of his last Hot Pocket. Aaron's was still on the plate, but it might as well have been re-frozen. "Thanks," he mumbled through the bite of sandwich, "Yeah, thanks." he said clearer, after swallowing. "It means a lot to me." He couldn't make himself meet his sister's eyes, but grabbed her around the shoulders and hugged quickly and tightly. "It means a lot that someone in this God-forsaken hell-hole still can believe in something. Someone." Took one shaky breath in, on shaky breath out, and let go, eyes still to the floor. "Let's go get Frosty and start picking up the trash from the streets before we have to put it off for another week due to accidental internal explosions again."
---------------------------------------
Kyle -- Reptile?-- could almost sense the terror of the men behind him. The women were circling like a pack of wolves, a perverse imitation of that stripper's dance not three minutes before. "You must make love to me..." The corpse was eerily warm, sensuous. For a split second, Kyle laughed at the fact that this is the first time he ever made it all the way to 4th base without roofies, and she was dead. Blood was running from her body everywhere it could, and Kyle -- Reptile? -- could see the stains bubbling up from below her dress. She exhaled. The warm air brushed past his ear, warm and loving. he could smell the stale smell of blood and death on it. Something compelled him to her. Kyle was repulsed, but he couldn't get close enough to her. Or maybe Reptile couldn't get close enough? He reached behind her, found the zipper holding the dress on to her lithe, sexy, irresistible body, and pulled. Reptile eased her onto the floor and she helped him with his belt buckle. The women still circled like buzzards.

I had folded my arms, a small spacks of waters froze on my bare hand. I removed my pair of gloves from my pockets and turned back when the squeek of the door came. Rina and Nathaniel were ready to go. "About time." I mumbled impatiently as they walked up to me. "The Snakes first... Where do we start?" They owned most of Central Park and a little of the adjacent territory, it was quite a big area but there had to be a good place for us to make our debut and scare the sissies into submission.
---
When Nathaniel embraced Rina she slowly brought up her arms to accept it. He thanked her and spoke about there being at least one person to believe in, she sighed. "Yep..." Then Nathaniel announced it was time to go, she looked up at him and nodded. Then off they went. In the elevator, Rina's eyes narrowed. "God, Nathan. Couldn't you have held it?" She said, holding her nose. It had to have been him, who else would have farted? The ghost of elevator past? As they were about to leave the building Marzetti stopped them, complaining to Nat about the rent he owed. In a slight argument about Marzetti bolding out his missing items and accusing Aaron, Nathan eventually won the debate and they were finally able to leave the building. As they approached Aaron he had mumbled something and Rina rolled her eyes. It was time to go.

Though he was young, Kyle was able to last the session for a good hour. When he finished, the woman layed naked beside him, running a finger down his chest. She was no longer bleeding, her body was undamaged as if he had done nothing to her. The women were begging the nervous Rico and Luis for the same love, they may have succeeded during Kyle's and the woman's debut. The woman leaned in close to Kyle's ear. "I am the Archangel." She whispered to him. It turned out that the Archangels weren't a gang at all, it was one person. "You have a demon following you... He's using you... But I... I love you." She continued passionately into his ear. "You have been scarred..." She said, running her hand down his red flesh. "With his skin, we will make you whole again. My love... Together... We shall go further than these petty gangs." She said, moving over to kiss him again... and again... and again until she saw it necessary to withdraw her face. "Soon... An agent of his will be here... And you will know where to start... With me by your side, and with it watching." She moved over him and began kissing him all over, hoping for another round. They had time.
