Despite their efforts, it seemed the militants were still flowing in like water. To think these were all citizens they were protecting at one point. Leave it to Nod to start an uprising. Suddenly, to men fell in pain beside them. "Damn it. Do we have a medic?!" Finally...hope arrived. An APC rolled out of the factory. Astor said Kira was a commando...so this doing had to be hers. And Commandos are helpless against APCs. But one thing bugged Kim///why didn't Kira just kill them? From the back of the APC, an engineer came out, with a briefcase. "Who needs medical attention?" "Those two...aren't you an engineer?" "Medic, too. We get all this cross-training...just keep those Nod soldiers away. Help the APC." The engineer was surprisingly calm, as he tended to the two injured men. The APC meanwhile, kept it's machine gun going, cutting through the Nod militants easily. Kim watched the flashes and explosions on the other side of the wall. The heavy vehicles must have been having a grand battle. No Nod vehicles had entered yet, so it would appear they were winning...or at least holding the line. Felicia had disappeared into the armory sometime ago. She was going to put her old gear on. She had gotten comfortable as a commander, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't ever fight again. Her looked similar to the composite armor...but was more sturdy and lighter, equipped with something on the back. She put her helmet on, and grabbed her a rifle.When outside...the first thing she did was watch the militants run in. "Not in my base, you bastards!" The blonde woman shouted, and raised the rifle. This rifle was a special kind..only given to GDI's commandos...which meant...Felica was indeed one of these elite soldiers. The rail gun rifle shattered several Nod infantry squads before they could even get a few yards in. She pushed a button on her cuff, and her jetpack activated, which carried her nearly all the way to the gate. The militants stopped rushing in now, even the fodder realized they couldn't break this. On the gate support, she placed her C4, and looked at the battle taking place outside. Both GDI and Nod were reduced to very few vehicles. All the Avatars grounded, the Mammoths destroyed. All that remained were some Flame tanks, and Scorpions for Nod. Predators and Pitbulls for GDI. Nod nor GDI could get more reinforcements...this was pretty much it for them both. She contacted the sniper team on the cliff tops. "Hey, you see where Nod's infantry went?" "They're charging again. I think you guys just silenced the first wave. We spotted the Nod Commando and tried to get her. But my shot was thrown off by an explosion. I just barely missed her." "If she appears again, try not to miss." "I doubt she will if she knows I'm gunning for her." Just then, a badly damage Firehawk flew over the wall, trailed by some rockets. The pilot, seeing he wouldn't out run them, ejected immediately. His aircraft was hit seconds after, exploding. Felecia swore and watched her blinking C4. The vehicle match up outside seemed to favor Nod more. The moment the tank get near this door, she would blast it. The initial explosion would destroy the vehicle that was between them, but it would also break off some chunks of the cliff, which would crash down on the others trying to get in....and also provide a small barrier. However, it seemed the scorpions had dozer blades, so the barrier wouldn't last long.

Astor just gave cover until the apc game. It seemed the militants began to fall back, more breathing time, good. It seemed they were to assist the APC if anymore were to rush in. Astor went with Kim and readied himself, but also kept an eye out for Kira, that devious bitch.
As Kira decided to watch to see what they do, she noticed a jump jet; who wouldn't? He looked in the direction and noticed they sent out a GDI commando, but there was no GDI commando to her knowledge. There was one person known as the outpost commander. Commander, commando, it just fits. Kira let out a slight sigh. The APC kept watch in the direction Kira last appeared so she could easily get around it. She walked straight past the medics, straight behind the APC and she had full view of Felicia. Kira raised her gun, she knew that once she fired a second or two will be needed to get the Lazarus back up. Aiming, Kira caught sight of Felicia's leg and fired. The other woman fell, what happened to her, Kira didn't know. She was caught off guard as a sniper round skimmed her arm. The Lazarus turned back on straight after. Kira kept her hand on her arm, and made sure the blood was in her hand and occasionally she would rub the blood on the black leather, if any dripped then she would be in trouble, well that is if they were perceptive enough but she doubted it.

Felicia watched the approaching second wave...when suddenly, a horrible pain appeared in her leg, and she lost her balance and fell over the ledge. She needed to act quickly, or the fall would surely kill her. She slammed the button on her cuff, which turned the jetpack on. It made her fly forward at a slant, and she hit the ground skidding. It hurt like hell, but it was far better off then slamming into the ground. She couldn't stand up for a few minutes...she knew that. One moment, Felicia was standing before them, the next she was hurdling off the cliff. he two of them tried to grab her...but were too short to grab. The spotter watched as the Commando did a very smart move. The sniper saw where Kira had appeared. He had a few second to do this. "Not this time, bitch!" He pointed the rifle in her direction and fired. He didn't care much about precision right now...but he was sure he hit her. The bullet appeared to have blood on it when it slammed into the ground. The medics seemed to have been done tending to the fallen riflemen, and were now running to Felicia. Kim shook her head, and hit the side of the APC. "Damn it...I can't believe I let her play me like that...Astor...I'm so sorry..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The two surviving Nod vehicles approached the gate, single file. The Flame Tank was up front. Felicia had her hand on the detonator...and when the flame tank came in side, she blasted the C4. It annihilated the tank, and sent rubble crashing down in front of the Scorpion. However, the Scorpion simply pointed itself forward, and let the dozer blade push the rubble away. The APC turned it's cannon and quickly fired at it, the bullets colliding with the tank's armor. The tank didn't seemed to be affected much...as it turned it's cannon and fired. The tank shell shredded the APC's armor easily, but it still was fighting. One more Shell, and the APC was gone. Exposing the medics and wounded soldiers. Felicia was unsure of what to do now. Was the operator going to kill the wounded? Militants ran in behind the tank, Felicia raised her Rail gun and started firing at them, neutralizing several of them. They turned and started to fire at her...one lucky shot knocked the gun from her hand. Her armor was sturdier than the composite armor, so the old chain gun bullets didn't pierce her body...but they did hurt. "It's over pigs!" The militants shouted. "Surrender!" Felicia shook her head, and slowly started to reach for her gun.
Astor shook his head when he heard the jump jet a second time. He noticed Felicia was falling. "Kim, look!" he nudged her and ran over. The medics seemed to help her, that was until Felicia played with the gismo in her hands. Suddenly the wall exploded and collapsed. He looked over to see in the rubble, a flame tank. "Is it over?" He asked but the rubble began to move and out came a scorpion, militants began rushing in again. He raised his gun and fired a few times until he noticed the odds he was up against, he stopped firing. "It's over pigs, surrender!" He heard one of them call out, this was it...
~~~~~~~~
Kira was propped against the barracks wall. Her arm was in pain but she could handle it. She watched the events and noticed that they weren't going to stop without dying. Kira began walking at a quick pace until she was right by the struggling felicia. A cock of her gun and suddenly Kira appeared, the gun at Felicia's helmet temple. "Don't do that." She warned. "Put down your guns, all of you. This battle is over. If you play by my rules, no one will die." She had to speak quick, she could feel the scope on her head. "Felicia. Would you be a dear and radio your snipers and tell them to kindly come down here without their guns." Kira spoke softly. A drip of blood hit the dirt, her wound was bleeding badly. "Felicia, think of you troops. Do you really wan them all to be slaughtered?" Faithful to their commander, the troops had already previously relieved themselves seeing the gun at their commander's head. Either way, Felicia complied. "Now lets wait for them, shall we?"
Minutes passed and the two snipers were with the group, both without their guns. "We've lost so much because of them. I say we shoot them all!" "YEAH!" Another agreed. The scorpion driver lifted the door and merely nodded his head. Kira walked forward and knelt down by Felicia and hugged her, moving her mouth closer to the woman's now-helmetless ear. "No hard feelings..." She whispered and pulled back. She then walked over to Kim and did the same treatment with the hug and moved her head closer to the woman's ear. "I'm sorry... I'm so... Sorry." She took a breath to compose herself then released the woman and turned to the militants. "If we slaughter them, what then? Will we look any better than them Ion Cannoning everything? We're going to let them go." The militants looked at each other. "Not as prisoners?" One asked and Kira shook her head. "No. Strip of them of their weapons and send them on their merry way!" She said enthusiastically. The militants looked at each other again. "I am a commando. I'm higher than you guys, you have to listen to me." She smiled. "besides, it's fun to see them suffer at having to live with this disgraceful loss!" She let out a chuckle. She didn't mean it but it was to get the militants to comply, and comply they did. There was not one weapon on any of the soldiers when they escorted out of the gate. The militants held up their guns in case they tried anything. Kira spoke. "I know what you're thinking. How in the world will we get to a base? Don't worry, losers." She said mockingly and tossed a radio to the now untied Felicia. "Frequency 34.6 like always, right?" She winked and turned from them, the militants stood guard as the group of wounded GDI troops hobbled off.

The soldiers were few in numbers...and thankfully, only a few of the group were really wounded. Felicia and three riflemen were forced to hobble, but were supported by who didn't need to. All of them were speechless that they were spared...and even more so that they were allowed to get evac. "I say we tell them that the Nod forces have few numbers and that a force can easily take them out." The sniper shook his head. "No. No...if we did, they'd know that by the time the force got here, Nod would be rebuilding. And then what? Boyle will use the ion cannon again. I don't want that happening because of us. Yes...it is inevitable, that is going to happen. But she spared us...knowing we had this power. So we should return this one favor." Felicia nodded her head in agreement. "He's right..."
Out in front were several husks of vehicles. An engineer's face lit up at the site of one...although hidden by his headgear. "I can get one those things working!" He shouted happily, and ran for the husk of an Avatar Warmech. It took a few minutes...but eventually the war machine roared to life. It retracted its fingers, and took a few steps. The engineer seemed to know how to pilot it. He first made it approach a Flame tank...and ripped the still available flame thrower and attached it. "This will keep us safe for those annoying mutant marauders." The engineer said through the radio. They were not intent on taking the base back...but Felicia made it a point to radio Kira, knowing she would likely have one. "Hear that, Nod? Our debt is repaid." She simply said. "We'll walk a mile or so out ad then radio for the transport. If they ask about the base...tell them the plant had an explosion of liquid-T so we were forced to evacuate." A smile ran away from her face. "But...they'll look into it..and see Nod moved in...knowing Boyle..the ion cannon is inevitable..." The Avatar took the lead, the others helping the wounded forward, as they advanced through the desert night.

Astor shook his head. "I can't believe we're alive." He listened to them talk and they decided not to report what happened. Astor laughed. "Come on! You don't think she did it just out the kindness of her heart, do you? She's expecting to gain something from this, I know it." No one seemed to care what he said so he decided to stay quiet. Felicia seemed to radio Kira.
~~~~~~
Kira walked to the spot where the part took place. It was destroyed and dirty. What a shame they couldn't all have been friends and had a real party. Suddenly the radio at her side broke out in Felicia's voice. Kira listened and laughed. She took the radio and placed it to her mouth. "Commander. I have a story for you while we have some time. Just listen." She kicked an empty can of soda out of her way as she continued through the grounds. "There's a flock of eagles and a family of scorpions. The eagles thought the scorpions appalling. The scorpions had asked if they may live in a safe environment to live with the eagles. Disgusted by the way the scorpions were the eagles refused and banished the family of scorpions to the desolate, dangerous deserts that they once thought of home. Until the environment changed, that is. The scorpions felt betrayed and unjustly thrown out into the wastes so they rose up to fight for a safe place for their children to grow. Now, the eagles have reached so low as to destroy the scorpion's nests without showing their proud faces. Even now the scorpions still show compassion to any captive eagles whereas their own brethren would destroy them if it meant taking down more scorpions. Sleep on it Commander. Rest easy in your nest knowing that another scorpion is suffering because you're too proud coexist. But know that your debt is far from repaid." Kira immediately cut the transmission.
"Brother." She walked up to one of the militants and smiled. "Would you do me a favor and call a transport. They will likely Ion Cannon this place and I don't want any more of you to die." He smile grew sweeter and he did so.
"Don't act like I don't know what you're metaphor is saying." Felicia said back, calmly. "You think all this scorpion did was try to live it's life? No...this scorpion was terrorizing the smaller being, killing those who didn't comply with it, burning down all places of worship. The Scorpion is the true monster here. The Eagle was simply doing what is right. The eagle does spare those it captures, very different from the scorpion. You might have been a special case. But we're always entitled to. Oh and hey...thanks for the toy." Felicia chuckled, and put the radio down.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile, Kane just received the news. "She SPARED them?" He bellowed, a bit angry. "Well that doesn't sound like my devoted at all. Perhaps she had a plan. But we must not be so quick to act. GDI will probably use their ion cannon on the newly captured base. They don't their secrets falling into our hands. Those fools. We already know all we need about their weapons. We've no need to replicate them. However...they must be hiding something else from us. Maybe that fool Boyle knows more than I'm giving him credit for." A man entered the room. "Sir...the Liquid Tiberium for the bomb is here." "Excellent. And GDI?" "Their forces are routing." "Good. Now leave me. I have much to do." Whilst Kane was alone, he quickly went through one of the secret passages. The rear of the temple had a secret airway, where a single seated craft awaited for him to pilot out safely. Through this, he contacted LEGION. "I will be away for a while...however, no one must know that I am still alive. You were programmed for one purpose and that to obey me. Do not let my secret slip. I will not be able to Command or lead operations while I'm gone....but that is why you're here...I'll be watching." Kane knew where to go, that no one else did. His secret bunker that he hid away after the end of the second tiberium war. It had always served him well. His craft was stealthed, as it flew over and out of the Temple Prime hold. And over the advancing GDI forces. "Those fools...playing right into my hands."

Once they were out far enough, Felicia made the call and they waited for their transport. "Jesus... I can't believe I had to suffer through two defeats in a little over a week." He shook his head. "This is disgraceful.."
~~~~~~~~~
Kira waited for her transport passively. She was never usually passive but it didn't matter right now. She was content knowing that Kim made it out alive and well. The ship touched down and the Nod infantry entered. There was a second ship just for the scorpion. Before long, they were on their way back to base. Kira watched out the back of the craft, just waiting for the Ion Cannon.
"You mean Kane got away with the liquid T?" Boyle was questioning Granger at central command. "I'm afraid so, Director. But, Our forces have routed them at temple prime, established a base, and are ready to lay siege. We also believe that Nod's leader itself is holed up in Temple Prime. This is is the perfect opportunity to apprehend Kane." Boyle twirled his cane around, and thought about it. "Fine. lay siege to the place...but you must tell me when all the walls have been breached at Temple Prime." Granger nodded...seeming happy that the Ion cannon was not even mentioned. "We will sir. You can count on it." Boyle left, and Granger and Sandra were amazed. "He didn't authorize the ion cannon?" "No Sandra...he didn't...I can't imagine why he wouldn't though...something must have gotten through that metal heart of his." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The siege of Temple prime was a grueling and devastating battle for both sides. Bullet ridden vehicles, shell craters, bodies littered the place. However when the first walls of Temple Prime fell, the battle turned to the favor of GDI. Nod fought back valiantly...but they stood not a chance against the momentum the Global Defense had gained. In a final desperate act, Kane threatened them with the Liquid T. Although from the sanctuary of his bunker, he made sure the background resembled that of Temple Prime so when his followers saw the transmission, they truly did think he was still with them. However, Boyle would not have this threat...and resorted to the Ion cannon..... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Y-you're not suggesting the ion cannon again, are you?!" Sandra was in an uproar. "Suggesting I am not...ordering it I am." Boyle said. Sandra glared at followed him. "sir, Temple Prime has a confirmed Supply of Liquid T...Liquid Tiberium. We know how extremely reactive it is, and we have reports he has a few tons." "A few tons? So he has a car's weight in it." Boyle responded, unmoved from the warning. "Sir...with all...due...respect.." Sandra was desperately trying to maintain composure. "A strike from the ion cannon would detonate that....and the power from the explosion would be catastrophic. And that would only be from a few tons...we don't how much they really have." "It's a risk I'm willing to take..." "WHAT?!! Sir...our forces are still within range!!!" But Boyle didn't answer.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Within' minutes, the ion cannon was now focused on temple prime. The fanatics to Nod who were still at the Temple...had their video cameras on...broadcasting to this to all they could. "It is confirmed that GDI has hauled out a Liquid Tiberium bomb...and are taking it away. We're are unsure if Kane has escaped Temple Prime yet...but it is certain---" Suddenly there was a bright light behind the Nod Fanatic speaking. "A bright light...the ion cannon!" He put his arms out, and closed his eyes. "It is my time...the Tiberium will set us free! One vision...one Purp----" The video feed ended...the strike had come. The blast was so powerful the world shook....Satellites in space could see the explosion. A shockwave traveled for miles around the globe.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
t this time, the GDI refugees from the recently captured base...had just found shelter. They had set up camp around a cliff, letting the wounded lay down. They had some MREs, and were happily dining, enjoying the rest. However, this happiness soon ended, as the ground shook....violently. So rough, it knocked Kim off her feet. She looked to her right...and suddenly came Wide-eyed. A Tsunami of sand was coming their way. "SHIT! GET DOWN! AGAINST THE CLIFF!" Everyone did their best to quickly move. The injured were moved first, holding them against the cliffside. Felicia and Kim hugged the walls tight, and closed their eyes. It would have seemed all the others were doing the same...however, the scream of one man could be heard going away in the distance...and the Avatar mech was knocked from it's position, and was starting to break apart...before being carried away in the sand-tsunami. The ground still rumbled as this happened...but they were all doing their best to not let go. "ASTOR?!" Kim called. She hoped that he could answer.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kane smiled in his bunker...despite the violent shaking. "A tragedy so horrid it shook the earth..." He recited. "And now...the visitors will be coming. So very soon."
"Hello little buddy. We both got betrayed didn't we?" He smiled. "Yeah, but you know we will always be together. Now we just have to work together, okay?" Minutes later he finally began peeing. "There we go... That wasn't so hard was it?" Suddenly a rumble which caused Astor almost to fall, getting his own urine on the side of his pants. "What!? Buddy, that was not funny! UGH!" He looked to his left and saw what was coming. "OH SHIT." Funny line to say when he was in the middle of a piss. He immediately stopped and ran for the cliff not too far and hung on for dear life. He couldn't hear anything. He was only around 10 or more yards from the camp. He prayed they ran for it. As he hugged up against the cliff he saw time to make himself decent and put his buddy away along with zipping up the door. "Kim!?" He shouted but no answer, either she was dead or the avalanche of sand was too loud. The sand began to slow and only lightly spill from the top of the cliff. Astor took some deep breaths as he composed himself. The sand was up to his knees. His fricken knees! "Kim!?" He shouted as he began slowly trekking through the sand, hoping not to find a deep spot.
~~~~~~~~~
Amazed, Kira turned away from the view. "I guess she kept her word after all. No Ion Cannon." Suddenly a loud sound. Kira turned back and saw movement. Almost as if the sand below were waves. "If it's not the Ion Cannon... Then what is that?" She turned to one of the militants next to her, he only shook his head. When the sand got straight under them the whole ship began spinning. "Turbulence is too rough!" The intercom shouted. "Hold on! We're going down!" Both of the transports span close and almost collided if the drivers weren't experienced enough to shift away. The back of the hold Kira was in was open. The militant next to her began to slip and he couldn't no longer, he was holding onto the side of the seat. Kira grabbed his arm to help him but she wasn't able to. They both were flung out of the transport.
"She's still alive. Help her up." Kira felt herself being pulled up and her body complied and assisted in picking her up. She stood, her feet were invisible in the sand. Her vision was blurred and she felt dizzy but she didn't have any notable injuries except cuts and scrapes from the hard landing in the sand. If any less sand would've been there she would've went splat. She turned and they were helping the militant, who took a stroll in the air with her, up. Kira's vision began to clear slowly and she could see the two transports. They didn't look too badly damaged but they probably wont be able to be flown without proper maintenance. The scorpion tank seemed fine and was making its way towards them. "Hop on top of the tank. There's a small town nearby. It wasn't hit by the sand. We'll find out what happened from there. Kira nodded and sat on the side of the tank along with the others and it drove off with many militants on top.

At Central Command in Washington, the Lieutenant, Sandra Telfair, was studying the monitors closely with a puzzled look. "General..." She called to Granger. "The Ion cannon is being activated again..." "Oh god...where now?" "...in space. Satellites just picked up incoming projectiles...about six of them." The ion cannon turned completely around...and fired at the approaching asteroid shaped object. The object broke into several small segments, but dud not stop their collision with earth. "Keep an eye on one! See what it does." Granger ordered. The command was followed...and they kept video feed on a particular UFO. The object slammed into the redzone in Africa...and moments later, several insect like creatures flooded out. "Oh my god..." "Those...are...what are they?!" "A danger to mankind."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The tremors stopped...the sand was settling. Another than one unfortunate loss...everyone was in relatively good shape. There were scratches on those who didn't have armor, but nothing fatal. Kim pulled her knees out of the sand, and was able to get her footing upon it. They had to help some of the injured out, but eventually everyone was topside. Kim could hear Astor calling her. "ASTOR!" She yelled back, and ran off in his direction. Her face brightened at the sight of him, and she threw her arms around him. "Thank god....thank god you're alright. What the hell was that?" "HEY!" The sniper sounded happy. He was looking through the scope of his rifle. "I can see a town in the distance. Doesn't look like they were hit by this. They gotta have some form of a clinic there." Felicia took of her helmet, and took the pair of binoculars from the spotter. She nodded, and seemed to smile. "That it is. We can call for the transport there." She put helmet back on. "Come on guys, let's move!" After a few moments of recuperation, the GDI force was on it's feet and heading down the sand.
They arrived some time later. The town was not surprisingly, in bad shape. However it was inhabited. However, people did shoot them dirty looks. "Your kind isn't liked here..." and old man snarled at them. "and don't you dare start any fights." Kim whispered to Astor. "Why is he threatening? We have the guns." The sight of a Nod Scorpion came into view...with several militants onboard. Immediately, GDI when to battle stances, pointing their weapons at the Nod forces. The militants hopped off the Scorpion and raised their gun, and Scorpion faced it's cannon at them. Kim glared at one sight in particular....the one she had allowed herself to get intimate with....Kira. Felicia stood front. "Damn...I thought you were going to leave us be. We might be outnumbered, but you're the ones outgunned! Nod might have said something back...but suddenly, there was a sound of guns all around. The citizens had armed up...fitting some of their vehicles with old machine guns...even had an ancient tank from the first tiberium war. "No..." One of them said. "No more!" He was dirty...wore rags...and was missing a few teeth. "We are so SICK of GDI and Nod bringing their fights to innocent places like this! No more I say! You all have 10 seconds to get all of your asses out of here, before we mow down every single one of you!" "1!" The citizens started counting in unison. "2!....3!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Suddenly there was a massive crash in the middle of the city, send sand and debris all about...something crashed from the heavens itself, leveling several buildings. The tremors knocked everyone from their feet...but they could see the sleek black thing...with pulsating blue lights... Everyone seemed marveled. Some of the citizen's moved up to get a closer look...bringing their tank, too. "What...is it?" Kim's eyes widened at the sight..still on the ground. "That's a good question...it doesn't...look of this world." Her gaze quickly went to Nod. All of them were also mesmerized. She thought this would be a good chance to attack them...but the citizens wouldn't be too friendly in response to that...and it didn't seem Nod was really there to attack them. And she hated to admit it...but she still had an odd...doubt that Kira really wanted to hurt them. Suddenly there was a whirring sound...and cracks started to form on one side of the object. Was something coming out?

Astor continued through the sand, looking anxiously around for his friend when suddenly he heard his name. He looked up and saw her. He tracked through the sand until he embraced her. "God, I thought you died!" He shook his head. "I don't know. I really.. Don't know." Luckily she hadn't noticed the small wet blotch on his pelvis. He'd have been worried she thought he pissed his pants out of fear when really it was only bad timing. After some time they were told to get moving. Get moving they did. They got to the town and people were hostile. "They think we're going to start a fight here." Astor answered to Kim. Just then someone noted the Nod vehicle coming and suddenly he figured the civilians did have something to worry about. They all raised their guns and Nod raised theirs. Astor had his gun on Kira, he wanted so badly to pull the trigger.
~~~~~~~~~
Kira had a slight conversation with the guy she flew with. He was thanking her for grabbing on when she did, saying that if she hadn't then he would've fallen out long before and probably wouldn't have survived that height. They finally reached the town, only to come across some familiar faces. They may have drawn guns on each other but Kira didn't remove her gun. She got off the tank and walked forward. "Damn...I thought you were going to leave us be. We might be outnumbered, but you're the ones outgunned!" Kira laughed and opened her mouth to calm them but the civilians spoke up first and started counting. Kira stood her ground, she didn't think these civilians had the guts. Then suddenly a crash and the ground shook. Kira looked around for another sand wave like the one she saw but there was nothing. She looked forward and there it was. A giant pillar like object with legs digging into the ground. It was blue and pulsating. "This one of yours?" Kira asked openly to GDI, there was no answer, they were gazing at it. It wasn't one of theirs. A small pole rose up barely visible beside the pillar. Things began running out of the tube like structure and within seconds a building was standing there. It looked like a temple. There were these wierd moving tentacle objects at the top and green steam came from it. Soon enough, instead of a pole, two blue spikes popped out of the earth and connected to make a ring. Two objects came out of the spikes and suddenly a blue orb started to grow. This was relatively close to the civilian faction. The orb was now a bit larger than a human. A screeching noise came and small objects came out of the orb as if from nowhere. They started ripping a few civilian infantry apart mercilessly. Well Kira knew one thing, these weren't friendly. She took out her gun and fired at the fish like swarms. They died rather quickly. For small buggers they weren't hard to hit. Just then four more spikes sprouted. Groups of two sat far apart. A web formed between the two groups as there were only two spikes now with two spikes per one spike. Another orb growing bigger and bigger. It enormous. Suddenly a big fat bug came out and spewed some kind of green slime on some nearby civilians. Seconds later another thing came out of, it looked like some kind of hovering tank that shot a volley to the civilian's tank, ripping it apart quickly. Kira was focused on the big bug. She fired and fired, seemed like Felicia was too. Against two commandos the bug was no match and fell quickly.
The alien presence came to a surprise to everyone....GDI, Nod, the locals...no one seemed prepared...and why would they be? The hovering tank was scanning it's targets. Within the blue sphere, it scanned every weapon and every vehicle that was being used. Identifying it's threat level, and what it seemed to be capable of. It of course prioritized the Scorpion as the main threat. Clarified soon enough when the tank shell collided with the front of the hover tank. Heavy damage was taken, but was still operable. It charged its laser cannon and fired, leaving a deep scar within the Nod tank's armor. During this, Kim shouldered her launcher, her ocular locking onto the enemy hover tank. The Scorpion fired once more, the shell making an explosion of flame and sickly yellow blood when it collided. The Scrin tank fired back, but this time, the Scorpion's driver left the tank as fast as he could, as the laser met steel...and the tank exploded. Kim fired immediately after the explosion, the missile hitting the side of the Scrin tank. A chunk was blown clean off, and the tank became grounded, destroyed by the final attack.
However, a second wave of alien emerged from the quickly set up production structures...one, a three-legged platform. From it's three tentacles from above it's head, it fired two beams of lasers, incinerating a line of Nod and GDI soldiers. Felicia stared at them shocked, then faced Kira. "We need to deal wit this. I KNOW you have C4. We need to attach one to two of it's legs." She then faced the surviving GDI soldiers...there were not many. A couple riflemen, her sniper team, Astor and Kim. "You guys need to get away from here and radio for pick up." She faced the Nod militants, then faced her men again. "If the Nod forces are ordered to go with you, work with them, not against them. This isn't between us anymore...it's between humans and aliens." She faced Kira once more. "What's your call?"
Kira took down some more of the buzzards. One of the tripods legs crushed one of the militia soldiers. She listened as she watched the destruction ensue. The aliens were focused once again, on the town. Kira stopped firing so that they wouldn't be the focus. It seemed Felicia was giving them a rap about working together, now it was Kira's turn to accept the mutual alliance. Her blue eyes gazed at the few Nod troops then to the few GDI troops. If this turns out a three way fight then no one is going to live but the aliens. Kira nodded. "If you think you still have the strength to fight then okay." She turned to the Nod troops. "For this time, we will work side by side with GDI, not out of friendship but out of necessity and survival. We will not die because we were victims to aliens, we will die fighting for what we believe in and this we do not believe in. Go with them." The Nod troops seemed a less eager to make allies of the GDI than the GDI were about having Nod as an ally. Once they began moving, Kira turned to Felicia. "I'll flank right, you go left. There's a circle of bugs on the right and your leg isn't going to get you far." Out of a small pack that Kira had taken from her drop ship, she took out C4. "When you're ready." She said, awaiting the other woman's word before preparing to move. The Tripod had noticed the fleeting Nod and GDI survivors and was slowly turning to pursue.
Felicia limped slightly to the left, as instructed, her railgun pressed tightly to her shoulder. Her leg was still hobbled from being shot by Kira, but was able to walk at least. The annihilator was beginning to pursue their fleeing soldiers, turning it's back to them completely, as it sweeps it's lasers to and fro hoping to vaporize them as they ran. She watched as Kira burned through the buzzers, quite efficiently, knowing they could practically strip her to bone in a matter of seconds. Not one to be shown up, she pressed a button on her suit's wrist, and jetted a few feet in front of her, to keep in time with Kira's advancement, as this required to be synchronized. She just assumed Kira knew a GDI commando's armament to have a C4 charge to deal with this threat of walkers. When the two of them caught up with the giant alien, Kira put hers on it's leg quite quickly, Felicia being short a couple seconds, slipping, falling behind the advancing tripod. "Get up! Hurry!" The Nod Commando called to her. Felicia huffed, and activated her jet again, glaring over her shoulder. "This is your fault, you bitch.." She snarled quietly, jumping onto the creatures leg, and holding onto the joint, only to attach her own charged to it. After securing it to the alien's legs, and programming her detonator to the charge, she pressed her jet button again, and launched herself back SEVERAL feet, landing on her rear, and sliding gracefully beside Kira, with her finger on the detonator switch. "I'm ready.."
