Ethan didn't bother to look at her when she started talking. Apparently trying to reason with him. Her words fell on him no stronger than the oxygen in the room. He didn't give a fuck. She just sounded like an insane bitch who snapped from shell shock. She moved towards the door and told him they should go. He slid up to his feet and checked around him, realizing he lost his plasma rifle from the decompression on the ship. He withdrew a pistol, the "Divet" as many would call it. From his orders on how to kill the creatures this gun wont be too effective but it was better than trying to punch their limbs off. The door opened and there was a hall. On the door across at the top, it stated where they'd be going. "Botany". The pilot was the first one to open the door but Ethan wasn't far behind her. Before she entered, he stopped her and shook his head. She may have been a veteran pilot but he highly doubted she knew how to properly handle dangerous areas. He went in first checking quickly to his right and left. He quickly noticed that this would be the shittiest area to start in... A forest.
The oxygen had to come from somewhere. It wasn't in unlimited supply like people though. They must have quite a few of these areas around the station and nearby were likely farming areas. Seeing through cabbage patches would be a lot easier than seeing through redwoods, that was for damn sure. The lights were lackluster here, normally one would suspect that there would be lights above bright enough to feed energy like the sun but sadly it appears there has been an issue with the power in the sector. Ethan inhaled and gave a long exhale before proceeding, gun raised and his feet moving quickly. The ground was made of gravel, this area was probably an expensive hangout for higher ups who wanted a piece of Earth to go to. Maybe a field trip area for children. Either way, it was damn authentic. He slowed down as the sound of a twig snapping struck his ears. He put a hand out to her, as if to tell her to stop. "Keep it slow." He whispered. The main source of light they were getting was coming from their visors. Ethan's plasma rifle was equipped with a flashlight but that was gone and Fewins didn't seem to have a light on her gun. It wasn't pitch black but dark enough for something to get the jump on them. Ethan checked the indicator at the corner of his visor. His Stasis, he had two shots with it before it needs to be refilled. It was basic, yeah, but most privates didn't carry one, he was just lucky to get it as a birthday present from his brother. "Remember." He whispered to the pilot. "Aim for the limbs, work the legs up to the arms." Like it or not, he was stuck with her. He'll have no choice but to trust her to have his back, after all, she couldn't survive without him and fear is one hell of a motive for teamwork.

Whether or not the soldier knew, Riven, like most other pilots, do go through basic engagement and survival training as soldiers. But nothing in the advanced like he would be put through, so if it came to complicated maneuvers, then she'd be a little lost. But she doubted these aliens were that smart, they seemed like your average swarm everything to death enemy. Seemed like he completely disregarded her insight. Oh well, that's typical Earthgov brainwashing, this probably meant he wasn't going to shoot back if they did...depending on whether he did or not though, would also decide if she did as well. Despite how much she didn't want to admit it, she would need him for survival, and she'd need him on her side eventually. She chose the direction that wouldn't lead them into the room she'd just abandoned the squad in, and thus headed further west; a sign above the door reading "Botany". She placed her hand on the scanner, and like most of the areas in this building, she would have security clearance. She's probably only not be allowed in higher up sectors in the Government sector. As the doors opened, she was halted by the soldier's arm in front of her. This only made Riven scoff. Alright, tough guy, you can take then lead.
Following behind him closely now gun up with the butt against her shoulder. It wasn't the fastest way to advance, but it was the one where you're most prepared. They could have tried sneaking through, the threat of the aliens such a looming presence, but the lights from their RiGs would give them away easily. Halfway through, twigs could be heard snapping...leaves crunching. At first she might have thought it was their feet, but it occurred to her she was walking on the gravel, but so long as they kept moving, she would feel okay. Unfortunately though, Ethan's arm came out in front of her. He wanted them to stop? STOP?! Here? Was he crazy! If anything was to fight them in the dark, it'd probably have the advantage, whether or not they were standing still! She wanted to go forward, there was no reason to stop here and on top of it, she was the only who was equipped with a seemingly proper weapon. The pilot was none to pleased with this. "Come on, let's just go. We can't fight these things in the dark. Are you insane? They have the advantage here, our RiG lightning is totally exposing us." Whether or not he wanted her to move forwards, she pushed passed him, and made a steady advance to the exit light they had been following. There was the crunching of gravel behind her, at least he knew when to follow. The exit was so close, but strange enough, she though she could hear gurgling sounds and retches. Strange...was someone choking? Dying? They were deep...like bellows, they sounded inhuman. If not for the situation, she would have gone off the path to see if it was someone in need of help. But without a flashlight, and the potential of being ambushed by those aliens a constant threat, she'd decide to just press on. If they were gurgling THAT bad, then they were likely near death anyway.
Suddenly, there was a crash behind her! Ethan wasn't following so close, so, whatever it was, wedged itself in between them. She turned around, the light from her visor providing some brief light on the intruder. It was the one with the long hooked fingers, and disfigured legs. The skin around it's chest was stained with acidic bile, and it was making a constant gurgle sound. It was a good few feet from Riven, and it was entirely aware she wasn't the only one there. It turned around on it's horrendous intestine-formed leg. Staring through it's empty sockets right at Ethan. The sound of Riven raising her gun and loading a shell could easily be heard. "..Start at the legs...Bloody fuck!" She was a bit hesitant to fire a high powered rifle, the shell could easily pass through the alien's leg and hit the soldier on the other side. There had to be something else she could do. She studied the monster again, and while she knew head shots were not ideal, it wouldn't be able to see without a head right? It was a better plan than any she had. "Get down, private!" She called to him, and waited a second, she'd need to have count on him to trust her. Her finger pulled the trigger, and in an instant, the alien's head exploded with a flurry of flying flesh and mucus, and disgustingly enough, a brief spray of what appeared to be vomit. The monster gurgled again! This appeared to have stunned it, still reeling from the shot. "Get your ass over here now, you bastard! Come on, come on! While it's still getting it's bearings!" She'd aim for an arm next, but she wanted to see the lighting of Ethan's RiG away from the best before she did.

She starting complaining about having to slow, defeating the purpose of having her slow. He needed to hear better and moving quick wasn't helping that. They knew nothing of these monsters other than the fact that they ambushed and completely slaughtered a whole squad without much of an issue. If they were capable of thought and planning they could be setting up any form of ambush up ahead. He went after her, though. He knew he'd need her as much as she needed him and he hated that. "Slow down, you're going to-" Thud! Between them was a fatass creature with three claw-like fingers. Ethan immediately aimed for the legs but then he heard the "get down" command from the woman on the other side. Whenever you hear that you duck and he did. The head of the fatass was blown clean off. Ethan shook his head and began trying to maneuver around like he was told. That proved to be a bad idea as the fatass started wildly swiping its arms, hitting Ethan and knocking him down against a tree. Stunned a second he began to try getting up when something with scythes for arms jumped out behind a tree and started going for him. He raised the Divet and fired 4 shots at its legs, missing once and severing one of the legs. It continued after him by using the scythes as legs. It started to strike the ground, attempting to hit Ethan but Ethan rolled away and jumped to his feet. He ran to where the pilot was and he grabbed her arm and they started off in a sprint. There were more growls and shreaks around them, the sounds of things moving past bushes and trees quickly. Behind them feint movements can be seen, something was chasing them but they were in luck. The green light could be seen illuminating from the path ahead of them. If they can make it there they should be fine. There's no way those creatures can get into doors. "Faster, don't slow down!" He shouted at her as she seemed to slow a bit. He turned and fired off a few suppression shots, not like it would help they probably didn't go and hide when bullets are flying at them. He continued for the door, since he turned the pilot was now barely ahead of him so again she was the door opener. The creature could easily be seen, another one of those scythe things. It was within reaching distance of Ethan and Ethan can only jump into the doorway. THe door closed in the nick of time, trapping the flailing pissed off creature within the door. One of its arms were loose and was swinging wildly at the two. "Is it just me... or does that face almost look human?" He asked, and the scythe almost seemed to be protruding from a hand.

Riven was keeping her distance from those flailing arms, waiting for those doors to close. It looked like the aliens felt pain at least, screeches and shrill cries were the only thing leaving that creature's lungs. Since it appeared they didn't need air either, it went on constantly as the door kept trying to close with the obstruction in the way, crunching of bones, ripping of flesh. The sound was sickening, and despite Riven hearing it often when a medical officer was doing quick patch ups in the back of her ship, nothing can really harden you for those sounds. Finally, the door sealed, with a sickening sound ripping flesh, blood spattering all around. It covered the entirety of the door and the ground beneath it, as half a torso fell in front of them. It had half the chest, the right arm, and it's head. The pilot moved in to get a better inspection. Ethan was right, this alien did appear to be human. It bore the face of a woman, though the cheek was torn at the side and the head angled downward, it appear that hole was her new mouth. Though covered in blood and tattered to shreds, there was definitely a t-shirt on this alien. "Oh my bloody god, you're right. What the hell is going on here!"
Suddenly, there was the cocking of a gun, a flashlight beam and a cluster of five blue guide lights shone over Riven's back, then too Ethan's. "Hold it right there. Put your weapon's on the ground" The man's voice came up, loud an authorative. He was by himself, with a plasma rifle trained on them both. In no position to resist, Riven did as she was told, dropping the seeker rifle beside her feet; Ethan, being a good soldier, probably would have too. "Gansly has been looking for you two. He said kill on sight if necessary, but if we could bring you in alive, I'd get a pretty nice bonus. A solid number, with five zeroes at the end. We take traitors very seriously.." The Officer looked over at Ethan and smirked. "Too bad kid, got involved with the wrong people at a young age.." An audio link appeared in front of him, projected from his RiG. "Chief Gansly, Officer Brigs here, I got your escapees." Unbeknownst to the officer, crawling, lumbering behind him was one of those flesh aliens. It had the appearance of a bat, with a massive proboscis extending below a "hood". "Excellent work. I want to see for myself." "Of course, Chief." And with that, a RiG link was projected, and the police chief was starting right at them from it. "Guess it wasn't that hard to catch you after all, was it Riven?"
The pilot only remained silent.
"Brigs, I'll be sending you back up soon to take these two in, but don't let them out of your sight."
"Copy that sir I'll---AGH..WHAT THE--!"
From behind him, the infector leaped onto the Officer's back, and jammed it's spear-like appendage right into his forehead. It was enough to shatter the glass of the helmet, and leave a gash in the man's head. He fell back from the shock, and being caught off guard with such weight. Though constantly distorted, the RiG link remained open. The Officer was screaming, pleading for help. "HELP ME! FUCKING HELP ME! GET IT OFF! HEELP!" Kicking and screaming, while the alien viciously jabbed the proboscis into the wound, and one more there, there was a definite shatter of bone, followed by the gurgling of blood and a final exhale. As the alien injected the fluid to turn this officer into a necromorph, Riven had picked up her rifle, and fired right at the infector on the man's body. The hit stuck the spine dead on, the only seemingly solid part of the beast, which penetrated it, went through, and severed the proboscis on the other side, just as it finished injecting the bile; it was too late to stop it from doing so now, not that they knew that's what it was doing.
The infector flopped over lifeless, the proboscis still stuck in the officer's skull. They both felt they could breathe a sigh of relief...but it didn't last long. In mere seconds, the Officer who had just been killed sat up with a scream! He stared blankly at the two, as two lumps formed on his shoulders. The metal of his RiG began to part and shatter, as two of those shaped appendages ripped from the metal, his helmet began to disfigure and shatter, leaving only the top half of it intact, while a new deformed face could partially be seen beneath it. His arms them stiffened, but otherwise remained unchanged. It let loose a horrible shriek, and stomped right at the pair. Riven raised her seeker rifle again, firing at the left leg. Once again, there was an explosion of blood, flesh, and metal. The high powered shot completely destroyed the armor, and made a gaping hole in the advancing alien's leg. But it didn't sever it. She expended the smoking shell, and tried to fire again...but the unthinkable happened; there was a click, she'd needed to reload. Luckily she had one more six-shelled clip. But the lack of needing to practice reloading under pressure showed easily here, and as she ejected the empty clip, the recoil of the gun knocked the fresh one out of her hand, the two landing beside each other. There wasn't enough time to tell them apart, with the creature only being feet away and picking up speed, but luckily the pilot had one more tool in here arsenal to defend herself. Her left hand began to glow, the corpse of the infector lifted, surrounded in an aura of the same transparent blue color, and near instantly zoomed in front of her. Slowly she'd turn it to be facing the advancing alien and fired it. The corpses collided with the alien, sending it back a few paces, but otherwise not damaging it. She did the same trick again, this time picking up whatever she could, which was unfortunately an empty trash can, but she hurled it anyway. Blindly, she was grabbing things with her kinesis, but this time, she was well rewarded; the officer's pulse rifle was levitating right in front of her. With her free hand, she grabbed it by the multi-stocked barrel, and practically thrusted it over to Ethan. "Use this! Quickly!"

She appeared the catch it, too. They were human... At one point, anyways. He shrugged on her rhetorical question, deciding to answer it anyways. "Terrorist attack? Some kind of virus testing? We can stand here all day guessing. We just ne-" It seemed everything wanted to cut him off. A light and then a security officer demanding they drop their weapons. He obliged, dropping the divet to the floor, not like it'd do much to him anyways. His primary motive seemed to be money. At least he didn't open fire the minute he identified them. Ethan glanced at the pilot, he knew she wasn't seeing it that way, probably thinking of a way to kill him as slow as possible. Ethan continued to glance at her, seeing what she would do. If she fought back he probably wouldn't have a choice but to help. Besides, if she attacked he wanted to attack too so that he can try to ensure the officer's survival. Her eyes appeared to be following something, though. Ethan turned back to the security guard to see what she was looking at. THen he saw it. "Hey watch out!" Ethan shouted but too late. It had leaped on him and stabbed him. Ethan bent down and picked up his divet, the pilot did the same for her gun. Ethan was pleasantly surprised to see she was willing to help the officer, or he was just misunderstanding. Either way with gun in hand he aimed but the shot already went off from the pilot. A nice shot that took the shitter down. Ethan began to walk up to where the security officer fell. "Shit, you alive?" He asked but then halted in his tracks. The officer stood up again and was staring at them blankly. Ethan took this as a sign and started to back up. Then he transformed. The pilot was ready and put a nice shot in the thing's leg. There was no second shot and it appeared to be up to Ethan. Ethan started firing at the damaged leg but metal still remained around the hole which was ricocheting the divet's small caliber bullets. Then shit began to be thrown at it, stunning it slightly each time. Ethan looked to his right where the pilot was and she was hovering a plasma rifle. She told him to take it. The divet dropped from his hand and he was quick to grab the assault rifle. Hitting a button he lifted and fired. The explosion was bright but over in a second. Body parts flew everywhere and there was only a twitching mess of what remained of the security officer. It was still alive, though, unable to effectively attack. Ethan took a step forward, lifted his foot and slammed it down on the things head, crushing it with one stomp. "Fuck... they ARE us." He looked up and saw the infector lying dead but something had occurred to him. She was following the creature with her eyes. She didn't want the soldier to live. He turned back to her. "He could still be alive." He growled. "You saw it, I KNOW you saw it. If you had said something he could still be alive. Might've let us go for saving him, or we could've run while he dealt with it. But no, apparently you're not thinking about who you run over in your little game of rebellion." Likely she was going to bitch about him turning them in and Ethan shook his head. "You just don't get it, do you? What will you do when... No IF you get off this station? Any fleet will vaporize the ship on sight. Your identification is as public as a community park. You can't run and you can't hide. Your only option is trying to reason. You see things as black and white. Just because that soldier was following order, even if it was for money, doesn't make it so that he had to die. Besides, him changing could have gotten us both killed or WORSE." He shook his head and checked around the remains of what was once the security guard for extra ammunition for the pulse rifle. He did find some. He then turned back and retrieved his divet which he holstered.

“Arabella Carlyle… My name is Arabella Carlyle…Ara-For the Marker, why can’t I say my name right. It’s terrible really. Carlyle, Arabella.” The blonde paced up and down the room with her speech paper in hand. “Hello, diligent workers…” She said out loud. “For those of you who do not know me, My name is Arabe- Arabella Car-Ah damn it! My name is fucking Arabella Carlyle and my husband was too damn lazy to speak to your sorry asses today! My good for nothing idiotic husband!”
A knock sounded from behind her and her green eyes moved toward the sound before she turned her head to look over her shoulder. “What is it?” She asked, with a hint of frustration escaping her. Arabella heard a gulp and knew immediately who was behind the door. “Spit it out, Terrance.” Her husband gulped again before explaining himself. “Oh…? I’m fine. I’ll be out in a bit.”
An hour later, she was dressed in a government issued space suit thing and on the surface with all the miners and engineers in their ridiculous get ups. No wonder she had to speak to them about morale and how the governor cares… their equipment was disgusting. Not that it was important of course. These people were expenda-
“ AHHHHH! SHI-” Those were the last words everyone heard through the comm. System before the explosion happened. The last thing Arabella saw was a blinding light and the last thing she felt was pain. Eventually she passed out. After that, it was a dream.
The story goes that no one knows what caused the accident, but people survived and Arabella was among those survivors. She was lucky enough to escape with her life, but life came with sacrifices. She had lost her eye in the accident and now sported an eye patch. I would say that that the dusty gold embroidering on the black of her eye patch goes well with her freckled kissed face. It intimidates enough, but it still brought out and failed to hide her more… attractive qualities.
When the shit hit the fan, she quickly found out that those things were certainly attracted to her, but for different reasons. She was alive and a worshiper of the Marker. At first, during the ceremony, she stood courageously with her brothers and sisters, waiting for the day of unity and wholeness, but when those fleshy bastards came, she turned and ran.
She managed to break through the mess and into a hiding place, but without forgetting what she had witnessed. They prayed so hard to the Marker, but it let death and carnage rain down upon its best followers. Faith shaken and her savvy momentarily broken, she sat for a bit crying. Until she heard the distant sound of gun fire and then screams, and then silence. Her tears stopped, but started once more after hearing a person whimper and then whisper their dying words.
“Fuck… why…” She wiped her tears and crawled out from under her desk space. “Where are my guards… fuck… fuck…” Fearful and a little broken, she carefully navigated herself out of the ruined church. Had the Marker not granted the wish of death, she would have been so angry at the state of the church, but at the moment her biggest concern was those… demon spawn.

Riven had had about enough of this, but it was predictable. "What do you think he would have done if I told him about it?! It was literally a couple feet behind him when I saw it! Did you see how fast it leaped?! Do you really think he would have been able to fight it off? And what are you bloody talking about? This rebellion? The fuck if I give a damn whether or not Earthgov is destroyed inside, I just want to get off this damn fucking trash heap!" She reached down, and picked up the full clip to her rifle, and began to reload it. "And you are the one saying I see things black and white? Do you think he really would have spared us even if we'd saved him? I've been in this damn organization a lot longer than you! He wanted money, he wanted recognition, he wanted the "honor" as they want all you mindless drones of soldiers to see it as. I could tell he was no different then the fucking asshole he was taking orders from!" She cocked the rifle, it was ready to fire now. "But there's no sense fighting over it now, he's dead already, probably good riddance in any sense." She gently moved over to the soldier's corpse and gently kicked his body. "At least that bonus bounty will keep us safe from being killed on sight. I doubt we'll be so lucky next time. And chances are Security officers are en route right now. If you don't want me passively killing any more of your brothers in arms..." She said the last three words rather spiteful, spitting venom with them. "I suggest we make ourselves scarce." She shouldered her rifle and headed in direction the officer would have had to come from. This may have been a horrible idea, but they really had no idea where to go in the first place. Generally, staying out of the main passage halls as much as possible would be ideal. The first door off the paths she took, it looked to be like a restaurant or a cafe. The room was trashed, toppled tables, a bit of smoke in the kitchen..and unfortunately, human corpses in the corners, some in booths, some on the ground, she assumed this was the work of the aliens. She looked behind her, Ethan followed her like an obedient dog, despite obviously hating her. "Come on, let's---" Suddenly, a vent crashed behind her, the pilot letting out a shriek. "BLOODY FUCKING! AGH!" Her gun went up, primed and ready. But it seemed it was just a loose screw or something, noting was there but the crashed vent plate. But Riven knew to be a little more paranoid than that when dealing with things unknown, she kept her gun pointed upward...and waited.
After a few seconds, nothing came down, but the entire thing was extremely unnerving almost too coincidental. "Stay on your guard.." She simply said.. And then went to her data panel on her chest. "I'm going to try to find a map of this area, this might help speed things along. Better than blindly guessing." It took a few minutes for her to attain a map, but when she did, she sounded a bit happier. "Alright, other than the door we just came through, there are two other exits. One leads to a series of apartment complexes and a plaza for shopping, an indoor park and some small businesses. It rings around to a central transit station. The other exit will also lead to this central transit station, but we'll be passing through a Unitology recruitment center, one of their churches, unsurprisingly over a cryo-crypt, their disciple dorms, and many other Unitology worship related rooms." She followed with a snort. "To be frank, I do believe the way we -should- go is obvious. But why don't I ask your opinion. Clearly, I'd lead us into some sort of alien trap and end killing even more "innocent" guards."

He ignored her for the rest of the way. She seemed to be sticking to side paths rather than main hallways. That was probably for the best considering that everyone would be running that way. If it weren't for the doors being tightly sealed, the sounds of gunfire and screams would be heard all over. Instead, there was just silence. Ethan didn't know which he preferred, the silence knowing that there are screams and gunfire probably just a room away or actually knowing what could be going on behind those doors. "Come on lets-" The pilot was cut off by a falling vent. He turned and was just as ready as she was. They waited and finally Ethan shook his head. She told him to be on his guard. "Yeah, thanks mom." He whispered. She might as well just remind him to put one foot in front of the other to walk. He was born with guns around him. His family is soldier through and through, telling him to be on his guard is like telling a police officer which body part to put the handcuffs on. She went off to find a map and he found the nearest chair available. Across from him was a bloodied chair, food was on a plate on the table, judging by the steam, it was still warm. It couldn't have happened less than ten minutes ago a person having his last meal was killed before he could even take a bite. Ethan looked up when she came back with the map, sitting in a different chair and pointing out locations, giving brief descriptions of the two paths and then continued her bitch comments. "You know for being military you can sure talk like a cheerleader ditzy bitch in high school." He shook his head. "Nevermind, though." He said before she could reply. He put his finger on the apartment path. "That's likely going to be trouble, the Sprawl is still in chaos. We go that way we're likely to meet with chaos and piles of those things. Also probably security trying to evacuate people." He then moved his hand down to the Church of Unitology. "Here is not too much better. Where do devout believers go when they think the world is ending? To the church. Either we're going to find a lot of at-peace believers trying force spiked wine down our throats or a slaughterhouse of those things. Not to mention there is a severe lack of bodies around considering those creatures' tendency to maul. That leads me to believe they're doing something to the bodies and if they grab regular bodies what's going to stop them from grabbing bodies from a crypt? Then again they are cryogenically frozen so I guess they wouldn't be able to get to them... In theory. But if we go this way we'll also have to be cautious of the political sector nearby. I wouldn't doubt security are up in arms near there." With that said he sat back in his chair. She DID ask for his tactical advice. "So in the end. Both paths are likely to get us killed. But considering there are more unknowns for the Church of Unitology, that'd probably be our best bet because we are sure to hit danger on the other path."

And so it was Riven's turn to ignore the ramblings of her begrudging partner; shutting off her sense of attention the moment he mentioned they should go to the Unitology wing. Sounded like he was trying to one up her anyway, like all those big-gusto military people do. Finally some respite, as he finished up. "Well I was just going to say we head through the residential and business plaza. The Unitologist cult would probably be just as hostile as us than anything here. And what with that political center beside the church, yes, they'd both probably be up in arms. So if we're screwed either way, as you claim, I feel it'd be in our best interest to at least avoid those cultists who would likely rather see us slowly tortured to death, than being head shotted or turned into alien. Both seemed faster." Shoulder her rifle, she headed off in the direction of residential exit...only to have the door open as if on queue. Six fully armed security guards entered, rifles raised. "Hold it right there, Fewins. Foster. You're not going anywhere.." The door they'd just entered from opened as well, complimented with a mirrored squad. They were outnumbered, twelve to two; there was no way they would escape this. "Blood fucking hell.." "Arms in the air. Come quietly and you might not die.." Riven was about ready to put down her gun, when a thunderous, ear shattering crash rocked the entire room! The door the second squad entered from was totally destroyed, sending bits of metal, plastic, and glass evey where. The entire squad was sent flying forward, toppled over like a bunch of bowling pins they were stunned, and maybe bruised, but otherwise unharmed. Where the crash happened, a massive alien comprised of what was obviously a bunch of corpses idly stood there, making telltale sounds, sounding a bit like a bull. "HOLY SHIT! All guns on that thing! KILL IT!" Instantly, the entire squad of troops turned guns on the alien, blood flying everywhere, and it let loose a loud cry, before stampeding about the room. Riven didn't want to see who would win the outcome and nor did she care; both we be far too much for either of them too take. The door to Unitology was their only hope. While the troops were occupied with and occupying the alien, she ran to the door scanner, Ethan likely behind her. The scanner took a couple seconds to read, but opened in the end, and Riven practically pulled the soldier with her through and at the same time, an explosion went off behind them; likely a grenade shot. Before the door close, she'd tried to see how the battle was going; she couldn't see how many of the troops were dead, if any were, but the alien was short and arm now. Clearly the victor would be the humans. "We need something. Anything. We need to jam this door. Do you see a fuse box? The control panel? A power supply, something?!"

Ethan only shrugged when she completely disregarded his thoughts. Why did she even ask? Hell she was already up and walking towards the door. Ethan sighed and stood up but the moment he got to his feet, security rushed in. He tossed his plasma rifle on the table next to him with his hands up. "MIGHT, huh?" Ethan grunted. Then the room shook thunderously and a large bang. He gasped and ducked for a second while a chunk of the destroyed door hit a wall behind him. He grabbed his pulse rifle and aimed up at the hulking beast but an arm grabbed him. It was the pilot. He knew what to do. He followed her to the door leading in the direction of the Unitology building. Unlike before, he didn't mind leaving these guys, they were many and well aware of the danger this time. When the door opened, the pilot pulled Ethan in and the door closed. She started looking through the glass. "We need something. Anything. We need to jam this door. Do you see a fuse box? The control panel? A power supply, something?!" She said, almost frantically. Ethan shook his head, blocking the door wasn't going to stop that thing, a regular door couldn't. Then again he couldn't see that the security team were winning. Suddenly an idea came to mind. To appease her he pulled her back from the door and allowed the door to scan his hand again. Using his rig he put in code to have the door do something specific. "My eldest brother taught me this trick after he got back from the second pirate war." He said as a panel opened up beside him. There was a physical key panel there. He put in the same code as before and the access on the door turned yellow. A screen appeared that demanded whoever standing near it place in one node in order to open. "Nodes aren't something you see people walking around with. Even security." He stated and looked through. There was a death cry and the security team could be seen approaching the door. "Shit!" one of the shouted. "They've enabled the node requirement. Somebody hand me a node." There was silence. Finally one spoke up. "I used my node on an extra bullet for my plasma rifle..." "Yeah... I used mine on extra oxygen for my suit..." Another one said and a fourth security guard shot him a glance. "Who the fuck wastes nodes on an oxygen enhancement?" They continued bickering while the squad captain shook his head. Ethan turned to the pilot. "Right, lets go before they decide to get a node. They'll probably be radioing our location, we have to be more careful around that political sector now." He leaned against the wall next to him, resting his pulse rifle against the wall as well. "Look, I'm not going to have a power struggle between us. You got me into this mess and you're going to get me out. Like it or not, you're on point." He said, as direct as an arrow to the face. He attempted to lead before, she only ended up compromising them more. He's not going to struggle with her so that one person is doing one thing another person is doing another. He'll listen to her until they either get killed or she decides to accept his decisions. Rushing in the forest lead a gap between the two allowing a fatass creature to cut them off along with reinforcements for the aliens coming from behind. It was all dumb luck that Ethan made it out of that alive. Then she went for the door that Ethan suggested against, while the soldiers entering would likely have happened either way, it showed how much control over the area the security had, just as Ethan had figured. She was going to get them killed but at the moment Ethan is still lamenting over the fact that his life's blood was taken from the label of traitor. Perhaps it would be better to be a casualty here than a public casualty from his former allies. Either way, he was going to try at least.

Riven rolled her eyes at the entire thing. Power struggle? She was just going to go where she felt would be the best. She's been shot down on a planet before, she's been marooned on a hostile station before; the big difference here was that there were these people-turning aliens all about. "I've been on point, nugget. However, we are going the way you wished us to go. I'm going to hope the Marker Heads give us a nicer greeting than your brothers in arms and the aliens."
Looking around to get a bearing on the situation and the area, it looked as if they were only a three way junction hall. One lead to the political wing, one to what appeared to be some kind of child friendly area, not that it mattered, the area was blocked off, and the ornately decorated entrance to the Unitology zone. Two statues were watching over the door, the marble heads being equipped with those golden sun-like masks one would think to see amongst Aztecs or something.
The hall was actually more of a lobby, a giant pole in the middle directing people which way, a set of stairs going onto an overpass littered with tables for lounging or relaxing. It might have been a recess place for those in the political district to go on their lunch breaks. But now it was empty, devoid of everything. No bodies, no people, no aliens, in fact it all looked...untouched. "The room we were just in looked to have been recently ransacked, but here it looks like a regular day just without the people...maybe a sign the invasion hasn't gone in this direction yet." Despite the observation though, she wasn't letting her guard down, and obviously Ethan would either.
The RiGs were a bit cumbersome to walk in, but they could advance at a decent pace, moving to the door of the Unitology branch, to which Riven placed her palm over the scanner. At least the station doors were welcoming to them, despite being branded traitors and the station being in a state of emergency, they hadn't declared a full lockdown yet. "I'm sure the officers have better things to do then to hound a couple a traitors all day long. I'm guessing they went back to their alien-sweeping duties." The door granted access, opening for the two. Inside, it was as pristine as the lobby was. There were two booths, probably sign in stations for the disciples, which must have meant the church was just beyond those doors. "Don't think they'd have a security system to prevent Earthgov from entering, do you? We're still marked as them after all, and I'm sure you're aware of the tension between our two groups.."

She looked over her shoulder at the sound of something dropping before quickening her pace. “Tristan…? Garic? Damn you… where are you two?” Arabella continued walking until she stepped on a nametag. “Fuck… Garic’s dead…” She turned the tag around and then looked at her surroundings. If his tag was here then maybe his body was around.
As much as it sickened her to do so, she followed the drag trail of blood to an air vent in the ground. She found Garic’s body lodged in the air vent opening. In the man’s hand was a Divet. She was not much of a shot, but she figured it was better than nothing. Arabella knelt beside the body and slowly pulled the weapon away. As the firearm left the man’s hand, his eyelids quickly opened revealing cloudy eyes. He let out a roar and reached for her sleeve. After grasping her sleeve, a blade erupted from his skin.
Arabella let out a scream and pulled away with haste. Her screams continued as the blade split her skin. She stumbled back to the floor and pushed herself away from Garic with her legs. “FUCK! WHAT THE FUCK! OHHH FUCK!” Garic transformed into one of those things and she knew without a doubt to run. She shoved her arm into her stomach and picked up the Divet with her uninjured arm.
She rounded the corner and closed the door after her, hoping that the monsters didn’t know how to use them. By the time she got to the lobby door, her sleeve and her stomach were soaked with her own blood. “I need to fucking patch this…” Her arm was trembling. “God… I’m going to die.” Carefully, she scanned her injured hand and opened the door to the lobby.

Ethan followed her to the entrance to the church, stepping over a headless body in the hall. He grimaced under his mask but shook it off as they approached the door which had the statues overlooking it. "Ever feel like statues like these get entertainment out of people's torment?" He asked but she didn't respond. They entered the lobby which was surprisingly clean. The pilot was quick to note that fact. "You're right and I'd highly doubt the marker is protecting this place like they would believe." They then entered a second portion of the lobby and the pilot spoke about how the security force likely has better things to do than to chase them down. He huffed. "If I had a mind like yours I'd believe the higher ups are branding us as terrorists now if they really wanted us dead. Track down the people they want to die and cover their asses if this is their fault." He chuckled and looked back at her. "Luckily I'm not a loony... At least not yet." He turned away and walked up to the sign in station next to the door. They used paper and ink, something that was less common in stations like this which strive on holographic lists. "Nobody bothered to sign in today. I wonder why." He said sarcastically as the door suddenly went green beside him. He raised his plasma rifle instantly. "Stop there!" He ordered. It was human, he got that off of a quick glance and it was armed considering the weapon about to be raised. He let go of the barrel of the plasma rifle and grabbed the person's wrist, arcing it in a painful direction so that the barrel of the pistol wasn't pointed toward either of them and then he side stepped and brought up his elbow of the same arm holding the figure's gun. A bullet was squeezed off from the pistol but it would hit nothing. The shock from being hit was likely enough for the inexperienced person, whom he now perceived to be a woman, to let go of the gun. Ethan gave her a final shove into the sign-in booth to the right of him. He stopped for a second, looked down, located the gun and kicked it back to where the pilot was standing with her seeker rifle raised. "Are you alone?" He asked but she was likely still gathering her thoughts. Golden hair, a patch, and a rather pretty face. "I said, are. you. alone?" He asked more directly, the plasma rifle still raised at her. He then noticed the wounds on her. "Shit. She's wounded. Her RiG's red." He grunted and backed up a few steps. "Help her out. I'll scan her RiG." From the ease of which he disarmed her she wasn't military so the pilot shouldn't have too much trouble, besides, if the woman wants to live then she's best playing nice. Opening his own RiG database, he quickly identified which one was the new arrival's. He opened the main overview file on the military database. "Arabella Carlyle. She's a slightly popular politician on the Sprawl, gaining most of her support after suffering an accident in the mines which caused the loss of her eye. Married to a Terrance Carlyle. She seems quite average, a few alleged assault charges. Someone in her position is likely to have an escort, though." He looked up to where the pilot was tending to her wounds and took a few steps forwards. "Where is your escort? You're wounded, are they dead?"

The moment the door slid open, Riven at first thought Ethan had opened it himself....but upon actually looking, she could see he had gone up in arms, and out of reflex, she snapped to ready as well. He ordered it to stop, and immediately started to struggle with it, and within seconds, a gunshot, a clatter of metal, and then something sliding beside her feet. It was a handgun the stranger had been using. It seemed soldier boy had this all under control, she really didn't need to do much, did she?
But as soon as she thought that, he blurted out that she was wounded, and that she needed to help her. He must have known that most pilots do go through medical training, bah, of course he would! Military families know too much about everything involving well...the military. Shoulder her rifle, she moved over to the new woman, while Ethan went around the back to start scanning her RiG. She was wearing a pretty ornate robe, must have been part of the clergy, but in any case, it didn't matter much to her. In her inventory, she was required to carry a couple vials of that medical gel that would help seal the wounds, but she had two small ones and one double bundle. Hopefully she wouldn't need too much of it. "Let's have a look see then." With her right hand, she grabbed Arabella's wrist, and slowly made her extend her arm to full length. "Oh my bloody...god. That is a ghastly gash...I'm going to say you didn't get that from a kitchen knife or anything right? Hold still...this might hurt a bit." With her free hand, she'd try ever so gently to part the skin at the gash, trying to get a better look inside, to look at how deep it was, and if infection was setting in. But judging by the amount of blood, this was a very fresh wound. Gently squeezing around that forearm between her hand, she was checking for fractures. "Looks like it's just the gash then. This will be easy enough...this wasn't attained by some kind of kitchen accident, I assume? Hold still, I have just the thing." Reaching into one of her suit's compartments, she pulled out one of those vials. "I need you to keep this arm straight out, alright?" As she said this, there was a sound of pressurized air releasing, and the pilot's helmet began to part. Revealing her face, all bunned up still surprisingly, Riven herself even breathed a sigh of relief, oh how she hated helmets. "Need to see this clear as possible. Again, this may sting a little." She didn't care if the woman knew or didn't know how these gels worked, she probably did considering they were a universal external wound close now however. Scooping quite a copious amount out of that vial, she parted the two halves of the gash once more, and began to spread and smear the gel all about it. Inside the wound, along the outside, and against the rips in flesh themselves. It would interact with the living tissue, destroy the dead tissue, and convert itself into the same cell structure, becoming one with the arm itself, literally making it good as new, oh future biology. This would take some time of course. Too much time to let it be exposed, so taking some gauze, she started to make a tight fitting bandage. At this time, Ethan had dug up her files. "A politician, huh? What's a government head doing in this place? The unitologists probably wouldn't welcome you here more so than Earthgov. If Arabella hadn't notice those Earthgov insignia's on their suits by now, perhaps that would shed some insight.

A rifle was raised and just like the movies, she raised the Divet. It was pure reaction and she wasn’t going to shoot but she heard a yell. As if she could actually shoot, but before she knew it, the man disarmed him. More pain. That fucker just disarmed her and shoved her into a booth. He asked a question next, but she was still trying to get over the pain. So even humans were going mad… Just kill her-
“Yes!” She spat at him and then the idiot noticed her wounds. Arabella rolled her eye at the genius. “Correct and those charges mean nothing…Escort? Dead, genius. With the rest of them…” Arabella side stepped away from the boy before she felt her wrist gently grabbed. “What? What are you do-“ Then the nameless woman proceeded to touch the wound. “Gawfuck….don’t d-Why- You said look! Stop already!” But the woman didn’t. Arabella bit her lip. “ N-no… one of those things got me when I got the damned firearm..” She followed the orders given and held out her arm.
“What are you doing here?” She asked as the woman took off her helmet. Arabella watched her apply the gel generously. It was interesting and amusing. Who knew neo-neo-neo-neosporin could be useful? “And… yes… I donated much to their cause… I am… was a Unitologist, but no marker will save us now.”
