King nodded at their idea's and commentaries. Maybe the rookie's wouldn't prove to bad after all. This wasn't a stndard research mission. It was to capture Melina the Harpy. They've been hearing of a mysterious Abnormal Black Market somewhere in Europe. Someone had even produced a variation of the Abnormal Serum that MI6 made.
If there indeed was another Abnormal Serum up for sale. They needed to know who made it, where it was manufactured, and how many have bought it.
Elektra decided to let O'brian's idea be the one to use. It was decent if not a little foolish. Something she would have done. These two pups needed to learn. And the best way they can was to experience this.
When the trio came about 3 & a half kilometers, they spotted the dreaded beast. The Harpy. She motioned for her fellow agents to pull out their weapons. If they didn't know how to shoot a gun they would learn very quickly.

"Remember my name, Melina Romanov." She grinned and extended her blue-gray wing. The customer before her looked at her awkwardly before realizing that she wanted to close the deal. "Yes...a shake." While she waited for the shake, Melina scrapped her talons against the cement and once she was done, she gave out a content caw. "Oh... that sound makes me smile."
"And I'm sure it does..."
"Is it a deal or not?"
"Oh it is." And it was finally close. Her customer took hold of her wing and gently shook it before exchanging his suit case with her's. The customer waved and with the new suit case in hand it disappeared in a shimmer. When her customer left, Melina blew a dark gray feather out of her face and readied herself for flight. She flapped her wings for a bit before actually lifting off of the dusty ground, but the gusts of wind made impressive clouds of dirt.
After getting some feet off the ground, she skillfully hovered over the suit case and grabbed its handle with her talon. "..." In silence, she looked down at the metal case with her abnormally colored eyes. It was as if the darkness had swallowed her eyes whole and stained it black. "Hm...Can't wait to spend the money tomorrow."
-----
Anna nodded at O'brian's idea and soon enough they were heading towards the massive heat signature. As soon as they got a close enough look, she caught Elektra's signal and drew her gun. Her movements in doing so were calm and the way she held the gun revealed that she had some experience with firearms. Whatever shock she had been feeling prior to that moment was now gone. What had replaced it was a new seriousness for her new job and from that moment, she realized that it wasn't a joke anymore. No, it never was a joke to begin with.
From what she had just witnessed, she realized that it was some sort of deal, and from her taking out her weapon, it wasn't too hard to guess that they would have to combat the Harpy. Piecing it together, she guessed that they were to capture the Harpy and then interrogate her about the deal. Since they were probably going to capture the harpy because of the deal, she also came to the conclusion that the Harpy was one of the many Abnormals who were apart of the Abnormal Black Market. Anna remembered having to research a bit the black market before and she knew that it wasn't at all pretty.

Jay nodded and silently pulled the firearm out of it's holster. Luckily, a firearms test was administered to him when he got promoted, so he already well knew how to shoot.
Just not how to take a life.
The trio slowly approached where the heat signature would be, Agent King on point, until they were nearly on top of it. "What are the protocols, King? How are we going to get that thing," with this he motioned towards the sky, "without drawing the attention of the market?" He felt like he already knew the answer and flicked off the safety of his weapon with a barely audible clinck.
"I'm ready when you are." his head throbbed once more, and he shook it off.

Melina flapped her wings a bit again to gain even more air. Once she gained enough air, she flew towards the direction of the agents without much thought of them. All that was on her mind was getting to her safe house some hours before the sun came out. That way she could put on some proper clothing and prepare for the sunlit day in front of her. Oh, how fun it was to walk around and pretend to be human.
Poor humans, she thought, they're so easy to trick...
------
"...It's obvious that this is only a meeting place for the deal that was just closed." Anna shook her head to rid herself of her drowsiness. It was late and around this time she was usually asleep or passed out on her desk. Now that she thought about it, her small little office room was another bed room for her. The thought was an amusing one for her, but she quickly refocused on the matter at hand.
"I'm supposing we wait till it's a safe distance away from this place to make sure there are no interferances...Look." She looked up at the winged beast. "It's ready to leave...Should we ground it?"
For some reason, Anna couldn't help but think that this mission was a little bit out of her league. Maybe it was because she felt almost defenseless or it could have been that she was sitting next to two power users. Either way, she felt that she was the weaker of the three and extremely useless against an Abnormal. Perhaps Elektra had brought her there to use as a meat shield. The thought wasn't too far fetched, right?

King slowly moved forwards, while motioning her other two companions to go around to flank the dreaded beast. If this monstrousity continued to plague this plane of existance, then there would be serious reprocussions in the near future. Imagine if criminals suddenly could reflect bullets or other projectiles back at police officers. Or using their gift to kill entire cities. There would be utter chaos roaming the Earth. Descimating it for all of eternity, well at least until the sun destroyed itself and took out their home planet.
Unfortunately for the experienced agent, she unknowingly snapped a twig. Thus causing the flying witch to swoop in trying to slice her face in half. Realising her tactical error, Elektra barely dodged the unexpected sneak attack. In turn she unleashed her aura of pain. She saw the other female creature flinch, then suddenly screech in agony.
Melina swung her gaze back to the young woman. Again taking into factoring another sneak attack. This time she flew higher than before, escaping the visual range of the three pitiful mortal beings. The harpy dived through the cloud coverage. Nose diving to the one inflicting pain on her.
One moment to late, King took a blow enough to kill any mortal human. She gasped, her eyes widening. Blood pouring from her mouth. Elektra moved her gun slightly upwards, firing several times into Melina's abdomomen before falling backwards. Her eyes growing dim, her breathes now shortened before stopping all together.
The vile bitch clutched her stomach before stumbling on her knees, screeching once again. The tranquilizers taking immediate effect, knocking out the villainess.

King motioned that they, the recruits, were supposed to flank the creature. Jay was barely behind the building he was circling when the thing first screeched and dive bombed King. He turned around in a jerky about-face and watched as Agent King did something to the harpy causing it to writhe in pain and retreat. Anna was behind him, but Jay hesitated and wondered if he should go out and help despite her backing him up. He wondered if he should go out in the open, with Agent King. Maybe he should circle around and flank, like he was supposed to? He decided to expose himself and back up King. Running out into the open, he saw the harpy swoop down, and screamed at King to "get down!" She turned herself around and shot at the creature, watching the black body drop out of the sky no more than 50 meters from them.
Jay inhaled sharply and turned around. Whatever daydream that was, he didn't have time for it. He circled the building and came out behind the harpy, just like the plans, but in an instant, Agent King dropped to her knees. The harpy had, somehow, surprised her and struck her, hard. But not before King got a few shots off. "Agent King!? Are you okay? King?" She was on the ground, no movement beyond her fingers twitching now and again. "Shit," Jay breathed, then screamed, the sharp yelp of a word that cut like razors through flesh. He looked at the bird-thing lying on the ground beside King and then to Anna. "The bloody hell are we s'posed to do now?" He pointed his gun at the harpy, then lowered it in indecision. "Well, this ruddy mess won't go over well."

Panic evenloped all of the Inner Sanctum, one of their field agents had died. More importantly one of the veterans. Elektra King's vitals were fine one moment turning to a flat line the next. But how did the woman die? Was it the rookies she was paired with or possibly a mistake on her own part. Either way they were sending in two operatives to retrieve the newbies and the corpse of Elektra King. If they were lucky enough that is. ** ** ** Angel sighed heavily, it was a deep blow to the department that they lost King. But she sort of had it coming to her, she was rather reckless, she took uneccesary risks in each and every mission she was in. The field agent shook his head. The poor rookies were probably in shock at the events. Angel was born in a small county near Neice, France. He emigrated to England during his late teens. His parents Amelia and Frank were both born and raised in France until Amelia's work took them to the U.K. There they raise their only son until he wen off on his own. The young man stood at an 'impressive' 5'6, weighing in at 120 pounds. He had short silvery hair, closely cropped into a short layered haircut. He had bright green eyes, and an apricot complexion. He wore a simple charcoal vest and dark jeans with a pair of checkered skater shoes. He was fairly athletic, he was at one point a gymnast, also a ballet dancer much to his disappointment. He was once a very clumsy child, in order to counteract this his mother signed him up. Later on, in high school the boy took tai chi and karate. Only a year after graduating he took yoga. Angel's metahuman talent was enhanced pheromones. He was able to adjust these pheromones to be almost non-existent or be powerfully potent. Strong enough to simulate love or lust. He and his other companion had just arrived, seeing both the new recruits, King's corpse and to their surprise a knocked out harpy. Impressive. ** ** ** Amedeo , glanced over at his friend angel cakes. That little nickname earned him a few cold glares from the kid. He wasn't bad looking, well far from it. He grinned at their first few encounters alone. He constantly moved closer to the shorter male, skin rubbing skin. He made the other uncomfortabel, especially when he flirted. Yet those days were too long ago. He romaticized both genders, depending on his target the balance tipped on one side or the other. Call him a free spirit. He was the office flirt and sometimes comedian. Like when he brought in this pathetic hand puppet. Banjo the Clown; god of hand puppets. It made people smile and laugh. Sometimes at or with the clown, other times at him specifically. His shaggy caramel hair, flounced up and down on the trek to meet the new kids. Soft, vivid green eyes focused on the road ahead. Perly white teeth flashed at his friend. Well maybe he would have better luck with Anna something or other, and whats his name. Amedeo's, or Armand, full height was about 6'4, weighing close to 181 lbs but it was all muscle. His broad shoulders helped to fill a black leather jacket, he wore ordinary jeans and running shoes. Amedeo's gift was molecular deceleration. The ability to slow down time in a fixed area, or aimed at an animate or inanimate object. It roughly lasted from anywhere from one minute to five, less if they knew of his gift and resisted.

Things happened and soon enough the veteran agent who had been watching them was on the ground. Anna turned and followed after Jay. She watched as he went to aid the fallen agent and heard his yells, but not a sound escaped from her. Her expression kept blank. How was she supposed to feel or supposed to say? Anna didn't know the woman so she couldn't say too much, right? But eventually she figured she would have to say something.
"A shame..." She began, her voice hollow and emotionless. "The Inner Sanctum has lost an agent..." Anna didn't intend it to sound like she didn't care and she certainly didn't mean to make it sound like no big deal, but when it came out, that was the result. "I suppose this is a lesson to both of us..." Anna bit her tongue to prevent herself from saying more. She didn't want those heartless words coming from her.
After biting her tongue, Jay looked up to her and pointed his gun to the harpy. "I'm sure, they've been notified..." She said as he lowered his gun once again. "...and killing the thing won't do us any good. We're to gain information, yes?" Just as she had finished asking the rhetorical question, she looked up and caught two people walking towards them. "...Agent...uh..." Anna reached out and gently tapped him. "Look...that must be them..."

Amedeo stopped his partner with a hand to the chest, normally it'd be for the intents of arousal, but this time it was to actually halt him. Before he spoke a single word, Amedeo took out his pack of cigarettes and plucked one in his mouth, what came second was a red, plastic, disposable lighter and lit the stick. Amedeo had definately noticed the two rookies and the downed King, then the harpy. Unlike his partner, Amedeo wasn't as impressed. "Damn, rookies must've been shit to handle." Armand whispered into Angel's ear. "Alright sweet, I'll straddle the bitch, you handle the rookies." He mumbled with a wink, his British accent clear in his throat. The taller man then casually walked past the two rookies without much thought, though he did take a glance after he walked behind them to see their structure. Once to the harpy, he whistled. "She is one ugly deer." He said, the thought of just tying her to the roof of his compact van at the forethought of his mind.
(( I didn't know how to start, don't beat me! O.O ))

"She is one ugly deer." "yeah. Oh, and by the way, the dead lady over there's a bigger problem!" The Irishman pointed, with severe exaggeration, to the late Agent King. "What do you make of that?" Jay turned around and heaved an exasperated grunt, running his hands through his hair.
What was that thing he was doing earlier? he was daydreaming about helping King out. But then he shook the notion off and continued to follow orders. It seemed so real. But maybe stress does that.
Jay walked, slowly but deliberately, to the two new arrivals. "Did you see that ludicrous display last night? The trouble is, Toshack thinks he can walk every game of football in, and win, I tink. Football's just gone all to hell." He felt ridiculous, no doubt about that. "You, sir, look like a smart man." he looked at Armand intently, "You hear about that bloody serum the agency says it gives it's agents? I tink it's all bullocks. How about you?"

The young member glared at his partner, he had the tact of a plague infested, bed ridden, infernal irish buffoon. He nearly hit Amedeo in an unforgiving place when his hand moved across his chest. That was until he realised by it was done.
"Damn, rookies must've been shit to handle." Armand whispered into his ear. "Alright sweet, I'll straddle the bitch, you handle the rookies."
" Fine. But let the record show that I consider this an utter waste of my prodigious talents". Angel rolled his eyes, and shook his head. There would be a clean up crew in five minutes to extract King's lifeless corpse.
"She is one ugly deer." Yes the vile being that could be called a Hapry was indeed a monstrousity to one's sight.
"yeah. Oh, and by the way, the dead lady over there's a bigger problem!" The Irishman pointed, with severe exaggeration, to the late Agent King. "What do you make of that?" The Irish buffoon turned around and heaved an exasperated grunt, running his hands through his hair.
The elder man walked, slowly but deliberately, to the two new arrivals. "Did you see that ludicrous display last night? The trouble is, Toshack thinks he can walk every game of football in, and win, I tink. Football's just gone all to hell." He gave a small moment's pause before he continued to talk. " You, sir, look like a smart man", he spoke to Amedeo. "You hear about that bloody serum the agency says it gives it's agents? I think it's all bullocks. How about you?"
" I beleive you and the woman should get into the van before I make you". His tone left little to argue about. The silver haired man sheppard both Anna and Jay into the van. While Armand loaded the bitche's body.

Amedeo took out a note pad and knelt down close to the harpy, she smelt disgusting. He listened to the rookie by him and nodded passively. "Sure is, mate. Now head with the kid." He said and looked back at the rookie agent. A bit too old for his tastes... Just then the man turned to go with Angel and Amedeo turned back to the harpy with a smirk. "Nice ass, though." He mumbled to himself. He wrote down small details on the pad and touched the end of the pen between his teeth, thinking. Just then he chuckled. "Bungie cords... Lots and lots of bungie cords. I'm not letting those cleanup pansies take it." He stood up and walked back to his compact and went around to the back. Using a key the back opened and then closed, Amedeo could be seen walking with a jumble of bungie cords which he plopped on the ground. He walked over to the harpy and grabbed one of the wings and began pulling. He was able to pull her rather quickly beside the car, then he decided to get some help from his partner. "Angel, get out here and help me, lad. I don't want the rookies to drop her and crush you." When all is said and done, Armand got into the driver's seat, on top the harpy was tethered to the car, it could literally be mistaken for a large deer in the dark. Just then, lights signaled the cleaning crew's inevitable arrival. Amedeo started the car and hit it into geer and began driving.
(( Still in a sort of stasis of fillers until something's thought up. ))

Jay did as he was told and climbed into the back of the unmarked van listlessly. Anna was sitting across from him, and he was trying to make polite conversation, but the agents outside the van kept anything he said at bay with their clunking the body about outside. Soon enough, they got their trophy mounted on the roof of the van and the crew took off, with the headlights of the cleanup crew in their rear view mirrors. "Does it disturb anyone that a live harpy is tied to our roof? Not at all?"
Eventually, the van arrived at the front gate to a government building Jay recognized as "work" for the past... God knows how long -- and after punching a bunch of numbers into a keypad by the driver-side window, they drove into the compound. Jay brought up the serum again, being more and more skeptical about it as the minutes wore on. Anna was sitting, looking almost as at-ease as the agents in the front seats, right where she had been when they drove off, like she was a robot or something. Jay's head pulsed again, but the headaches from it were becoming dulled, and he didn't much mind them any more. "Alright boys. What do we do with the harpy. And where're we going afterwards, huh?"

While driving back to headquarters, Angel looked slightly annoyed. Amedeo always pestered him, making references to him. That he was delicate, fragile. And that pissed off the younger male. " You do know that I'm not so delicate Amedeo. I do beleive I've given you a couple of black eyes with me leaving without nothing more than a headache" he seethed.
The constant talking from the Irish man was mind boggling. He was mere seconds away from beating him into a pile of pulp. " The serum can take a number of forms. Wether it be a passive or active ability. Or physical or mental. Maybe you haven't found out what you can do. You can always go back into the program. Since you've bonded with the serum you can't die. But you never know how the mutation will affect you".
After they reached the Inner Sanctum several scientists and other field agents moved in. Transporting the motionless cargo. Angel looked at the woman, Anna, she was reserved. More so than her partner.
" I don't know about the rest of you but I think some sleep is in order. It is getting late". He yawned, raising his arm. Which in turned raised the vest more, showing off his lithe physique.
(( Kelly maybe in your next post you mention the pub. Leading resistance from Angel, but he eventually gives in and comes with to the pub.))

While she watched the two experienced agents carry out with securing the harpy, Jay seemed to talk up a storm. First he talked about football and to that she simply stared at him quietly. She didn't watch football or play any other sports for that matter. It was after that he moved to talk about the serum. Hearing more and more about the serum made her extremely curious, but it also made her afraid. What if she was the one who died?
"I believe you and the woman should get into the van before I make you.."
Anna looked up and nodded her head before heading up into the back into the van. She sat across from Jay and as he tried to attempt at a conversation, most of it ended up as him talking to himself. She seemed to be distracted by the clunks outside and the current situation. Although she was obviously distracted the man continued to talk, so in an attempt to shut him up Anna shook her head at his harpy question.
Thankfully, for a little bit he was quiet but when they reached the Inner Sanctum building he brought up the serum once again. Instead of her answering his question, she head the smaller experienced agent answer it. At his answer, she gave out a sigh of relief and crossed her arms. "...Sleep would be appreciated..." She muttered and as if to answer her prayers, the smaller agent who had came to them earlier said something about sleep. Anna took that as a signal to leave and she did.
At first she hesitated, remembering the equipment she had on, but then she figured that she could return it the next day. "What are my working hours now..." Questions about her new job suddenly filled her mind once again, but instead of turning back to ask the male agents, she continued on her way to her motor. If her ass got roasted for being late or something, she could always use the lame and overused 'I'm new to this' excuse.
