"You chose Desk Duty for this whole week for a reason...didn't you?" Jillian said finally standing up. "Lazy bum!" She turned away from her brother and sighed. "I'll be meeting some pals at a bar..." "Wait, hey! Don't go! You don't want any fried rice?" He shouted as she walked away. Oh, she was hungry alright, but no way was she going to stay with him and eat rice. "See ya, Jay... Be a good boy, and get off your lazy ass."
Jillian stopped at the door as she saw a man come down from the stairs and she cocked her eyebrow. "Probably the riot situation..." She muttered, shrugging the thought off of this one being serious. "Careful..." She said as he passed him, and then she headed out the RPD door.

The asian woman was already outside, just trying to light her cigarette. This was proving to be just a bit diffcult thanks to the cool autumn winds. She finally lit that damn thing, taking a long and slow puff of the toxic stick. She spied a slightly older woman exciting the police station. She breathed in the chilly air and had a another puff. Sola looked out towards the streets. Still nothing happening.

Jack went down the stairs in rapid session, he thought he heard a woman mumble something to him but he didn't catch it. He went outside to where he saw Sola and addressed her. "Get your equipment on now and meet me at the central plaza. Talk to the man at the car window if you lack a vehicle." He said quickly. He then seemed to walk in the parking lot and seemed to enter a casual looking vehicle which was black. Of course, it had a siren on it and it quickly blasted, obviously meaning he was in a hurry about something. Jack then sped off in a hurry and got there to see something that made him gasp. Jean was nowhere in sight, and the rioters were gone as well, except for the remaining few that were laying on the floor in a puddle of blood. There was blood everywhere. He took out his radio and contacted Jay. "Jay, get more officers to the central plaza, you're not going to believe this.."

"Why? Didn't the other RPD contain the rioters? Pssh...I got desk duty...Shi--" He stopped when Jack had said, "You're not going to believe this.." Something about his last words hit him square in the head. The rioters could have done something really, really bad. "Yessir. Gettin' them!" He stood up from his desk and ran around the RPD for a couple of minutes, telling people to get there butts to Central Plaza. He told them to hurry and even he hurried. They got into the police cars and all swarmed down to where Jack was.
Jillian stared out the window and tilted her head. "What's this? What's up with all the cars?" She asked, popping a cherry into her mouth. "Aye Jill, don't worry...justs nothin'." She shrugged and turned back to her friend. "Look if you don't be careful...you might get drunk and go around lookin' for a fight."

Sola crushed the smoke underneath her high heels. She jogged to the equipment room and changed into her 'uniform'. Well it wasn't really hers but it was an extra one of Jill Valentine. They were about the same height and build so Irons just payed to get the unifrom cleaned. She put on a pair of flat footed thigh high boots. Putting on her belt, and slinging a small backpack on, carrying a medical pack and her special equipment. She holstered the standarded issued gun into the holster. She spied a sniper rifle of all things still in the departments weapon case. She slung that over her shoulder was well and grabbed two boxes of ammunition. From then on she ran down the steps, getting into her own car and drove to the plaaza.

Jack knelt over to inspect a bloody swat helmet. "What the hell?" He mumbled then a noise and he looked over. It was a cop he didn't know. "Stand right there!" He yelled, pointing his gun at the man's head. "I said stay put." The man progressed so Jack shot him in the leg. He still continued forth. Jack wasn't sure whether to kill the man but it was already to late. The officer lunged at Jack and knocked him to the floor. The man was about to bite Jack but a gunshot and the man fell over dead, blood seeping out of head. Jack quickly got up and looked over at Jean who was all bloody and badly wounded. "Jean!" He yelled as he ran over to him. "Biting.. So much biting. Jack.. Go.. Before they come back." He barely said as blood seeped freely from his neck. The man fell to the ground, obviously dead. "Jean!" He yelled again then the sirens came into ear shot as they all screetched to a halt.

Jay got out of a police car, as did a lot of other cops, and looked around. "What the..." He stepped in a pool of blood and almost gagged. What was up with all the crimson pools around? He knelt down and touched the red sticky substance. "What the hell did the rioters do? Take out this much people? What the hell, man?" He asked an officer, passing him. The officer only shrugged and he pulled himself up. "This is what I get from not being lazy...what a little, brat...Cursing me like this..."
"I dunno...something just seems wrong about all the sirens...There were so much of them...and its just...wierd. I heard about rioting but this is just strange isn't it? Wee woo wee woo, right?" Jillian was beginning to worry. If it was something big, Jay would have gone over. He was lazy, but if it was something worth seeing he would have gone. " Hope he's alright..."

Jack sighed and walked up to Jay. "Jean's dead.." He said, oblivious to Jean walking up behind him. Jack could remember the eyes, the face of the officer that had tried to bite him. Just what the hell was going on? It was as if it was being controlled by a will to eat, but why would he just take the bullets like nothing. If there was one thing Jack did learn, it was that they were vulnerable to the head.

The woman skidded around the corner, the black tire marks curved towards the other police officers' vehicles. She was a good five feet from any other car/truck. She stepped out of the car and grabbed her equipment and holstered what needed to be holstered, tighten what needs to be tighten, etc. She shut the car doors and jogged towards Jack. " What's the situation like" she asked her superior. Taking a quick scan of the area it would seem that there was alot mroe then just a simple riot going on. Good thing she choose to bring the sniper rifle. Pools of thick blood covered most of the street. In the distance there was a small group of people walking towards them. It was very odd since most of them were slow in walking, completely ignoring everything the officers told them to do. And from the dim street lights almost all of them were matted down in crimson.

"Jean's dead..." Jack had said. "What's the situation like?" A woman with a sniper asked right after he reported something. For once, Jay had nothing to put in. He couldn't say anything or really do anything. There was something that was bugging him though. It was odd enough to make him cock his handgun. "Jean's dead..." He turned to Jack, "Jean's dead? Well then that bugger is a strong piece of jerky, because there's a hole in his neck and he's still comin' to say hi." It was ironic because as he said this he remembered his little sister's words from when their father left, "Everything?! How about mutant creatures? Like Zombies? Ever heard of science being a lethal weapon, Dad?"
"Halt! Central Plaza is closed due to the rioting situation!" An officer ordered the small group of people, slowly moving. Jay cocked his eyebrow at the group and at Jean. They were all similar. They had a crazed look in their eyes, were covered in so much blood, and were slow moving. But what scared him the most is how easily he could read their expressions. No, he wasn't afraid of that; he was afraid because he saw nothingness and emptiness, but a longing for life. His eye twitched, as the people, and Jean, were unphased by the weapons they held and pointed at them. The only response the people gave back were moans and groans. He gulped real hard and noticed that his palms were getting clammy.
Suddenly, a scream erupted from a female officer's mouth. "HELP! Get him off of me!" She had shouted, and he watched as the man on the officer had his mouth locked on her arm. He was chewing on it, pulling apart the skin and getting to the flesh. Other officers attempted to pry the man off, but his mouth was locked onto her arm, and blood was spilling all over the place. Jay heard a few curses before he actually heard gun shots. He couldn't believe what he was seeing, and his body was locked stiff. Were the dead rising?
Jillian got up from her seat and sighed. She heard gun shots and she knew that where ever the cars had went that they didn't get far. "Hey, I'll be going now...I'm not---" "You only had a beer!" She shrugged it off, pulled her hood, and soon headed out of the bar. It was unusually quiet to night and very unsettling. Normally, she would see alot of things in this area like cars rushing by, people walking around, and maybe the usual Chinese manager at the Chinese take out place screaming profanities at her brother for her. She was a usual customer over there and became good friends with him.
She sighed and sat at a curve, waiting for something to happen. "Where are the cars, the people, and most of all Tim Hu?" Jillian asked herself, resting her chin in her hand. It was so quiet tonight, and she didn't like it. "I wonder if everyone went to the Riot...I should get home." She stood up and stretched. This was going to be about a hour long walk home, but she didn't mind. This was what kept her healthy and fit. "And they wonder why..."

Jack looked behind him and looked at Jean. He sighed and raised his beretta before putting a bullet through his old comrade's head. "There's a logical explanation about all of this... Rabies.." He said, scratching his head, boy how stupid he must've looked. He then shouted out to all the officers since he was the one with most command there. "Everyone who's injured have someone taken to the hospital. If those things approach you then fire one in the head but dont unless you're truly sure! The rest of you will go out and issue a lockdown ten blocks from the Central Plaza!" He commanded. He didn't have anything else in mind. He couldn't call for evacuation without permission and it only seems that the Central Plaza is the only place of incident, but he had no idea the contamination was quite rapidly spreading throughout the whole city, issuing evacuation would do little now.

One thing connected to another. From Jill Valentine's last report she issued to the department.
" There was an outbreak at the Arklay mansion. There were these things that could only be described as zombies. Humans that attacked what ever they saw. Dogs were like that too. And these horrible green scaled beast. Then that monster. It was a virus that got them. It turned them into these mindless beasts. If these things ever got out you shoot for their head. Seems to kill them. If you can call it that.".
' So what they said about Umbrella was true' she thought. Bitter emotions erupted in the woman, seizing her. She shook her head back and forth, side to side. " f*ck" she cursed. Well it was a little too late to say you were right to the suspended members of STARS. " The god damn f*cking reports. Captain." she adressed the elder man. " Remember the reports that the suspended STARS members issued. We'll their true. And this isn't some simple case of an epidemic of rabies" she spat.

"This is madness! Rabies my arse, Jack. I'm not even suppose to be in this mess...STARS is to be employed in such an incident! Not the normal RPD, not Desk Duty cops!" Then he heard her words. Zombies. "Zombies...Zombies? You're sayin' that these creatures are the fictional characters coming to life? Are you mad, too?" No, he knew they were right, but he couldn't believe any of this. He didn't want to believe. Jay knew that everything that they said was right, and he was dead afraid. He hadn't even gone into his thirties and he faced certain death...and his sister did.
His unarmed, pacifistic sister could face death. He knew she hated death, and fights that could cause death. She never carried around a gun like he always told her to, and always got into trouble becuase she only used words. Words worked a lot better when they were younger, but now, it was all about fists or some weapon to fight. Jay pulled out a phone and immediately called his young sister. They never got along, but he was still the big brother, and big brothers were born first so they could protect their little sisters.
"Hello?" A weary voice answered. "Jay, you alright? You sound like you've seen a ghost or something...It's probably gramps gettin' you back for stealin' the last cookie from his cookie jar." Jillian giggled and leaned against a wall. "No? Jay what's wrong, bro? You don't sound well. Why? You saw a dead body?" Again she laughed, but stopped at what Jay had said next. "SWAT, RPD officer's bodies? Blood everywhere, rioters? Jay, what kind of riot was it?! Get out of there right now, ya hear? You could---" "No, Jillian...You could get hurt..."

Jack uselessly watched as the others got into their vehicles and obeyed his orders. Jay was calling someone, possible a family member. Jack walked up and hit him gently in the shoulder. "It's ok, zombies are fake right? There's an explanation behind it, and it seems the infections are only around this area, if we just eradicate it, then everything will be alright. So lets split up and go crazy people huntin." He said, his optimistic, naive side taking control. It was pretty naive but usually his naivity would help calm people and keep them going, and give them hope.

" Get it through your thick HEAD!" she screeched. " Jesus Christ Jack! Your being an idiot" she was certainly fuming at the elder man. The simple slip of the tongue was easily forgotten in her raising cresendo of anger. " Their don'tt deranged. That biochemist Rebecca was onto something". The situation was really getting out of hand. Only now did it dawned on her that she, Sola Valance, had called her captain Jack. They certainly did share a physical resemblance and that same arrogant and naive attitude. " We have to do a little more then just assume that their mental unfit. Their attacking randomly. And I'll bet you it's just not here as well" she added.
