" I delivered the boy as agreed" spoke the man. He walked over to the child that was laying on the green sofa. Then put a small vial of smelling salts to wake him. The boy's nose twitched slightly. Then slowly he started to rouse. First squiting, then he slowly sat up, rubbing his eyes.
" Whe-where am I?" he asked slowly. Lynn took a brief look around, this was definately not the mists. It... it was an office? That didn't add up. He knew he had rolled down the slope, then he was at the bottom and it looked really beaten down. Then there were those strange men.... at least he thought there were men there. He turned his head to see a man walking out of the room and then he looked at a woman. She looked vaguely familiar.

"Good afternoon, Lynn. We're in my office...at city hall. Perhaps I should wait a while for you to get to your senses, but this little meeting has already been crammed into my schedule and I don't want to waste any time." Faith finished her candy bar and walked over to the trash bit to throw the wrapper away. "Excuse me...I don't like garbage." She sat back down in her chair and folded her hands.
"Lynn, do you realize what had just happened? I don't think you do. There are two options...that we can choose. Option one is to kill you, and option two is to recondition you. You are not going to be able to leave this office...unless an option is picked. There is one more...but I'm not sure you qualify for that one. Normally...I don't let people choose...It's funny, because today...I have been."
She opened a box of chocolates and pushed it to the edge of her desk. "Do you want one? I heard that these candies have been made by following the ancients recipes. They have interesting recipes though...and it's fun to go to restaurants that serve food from the ancient times, no?" She took time to pause and close her eyes.
"It's troublesome, I know...and it's hard to explain without telling you anything. This whole situation annoys me...and I hate it. I hate today...and the fact that the school went on a damned field trip, knowing that it was right next to the Mists... But I shouldn't say too much about it...I'm not the one who needs to choose."

Lynn just blinked after what she said. It seemed like she said everything in the span of thirthy seconds. So far nothing sounded very pleasing. Truthfully they all sounded quite dangerous, maybe even lethal. Well yeah one was lethal. To be put to death but that was a minor technicality. He gulped lowly. " Umm ..... what were my choices again" he asked slowly, he desperately tried to draw this meeting out just to buy a bit more time to think of what to do.

The blond boy looked around at the apartment that his friend once lived in. After that unfortunately incident he couldn't really stand to be at school any more. Someone from the government actually informed him about something. It seemed his short friend had a will, and left everything to him. He had taken a look at the document and seen it was dated a few years ago. What on Earth would have made him done such a thing?

"Very well... Your choices...are to be reconditioned...or put to death. Originally...someone ordered for you to die....and it may sound stupid to ask if you want to die, but I give out all the possible options." Faith took a paper from the giant stack beside her and read it.
It was obvious that he didn't like the sound of the two options, but who wouldn't. She sat there, and thought of the third option while she read. If she knew of his strengths, then maybe she could transfer him to the same school Kathy was going to. Trapping a person in the type of school wasn't the best of things, but it was better than losing your memories or being killed.
"...What class do you do well in?" She asked out of the blue.

He couldn't fathom what reconditioned meant. Did it meant they re-programmed his mind? Put him into a coma for life, what the hell was it? Then came the question right out of the blue. " I do well inAncient languages and political science" he answered. Lynn was sort of positive she only meant one class but in case he supplied another for him to be co-operative. " What's reconditioning?" he asked the woman before he chose to answer another question.

She chuckled when she asked her about 'reconditioning.' "I doubt you'll take the choice of death, unless you've lost your mind...or really want it, so I'll tell you what it is. Reconditioning is a process that gets your memories deleted and replaced with different ones. Once that is done, you are free to live a new life...in a different part of Clandestine. Once reconditioned, you are allowed to live as you like, but I'll be truthful with you. Once reconditioned...you are not to be contacted by family, or friends, for it would be a problem..."
There was a brief pause again, but then she continued to speak. "Political Science and ancient languages. Interesting...Perhaps you won't have to go through reconditioning. I'll present to you...the option...that I thought you weren't qualified for earlier. Option three is for you to go to a special school made for those going to be in the government or closely working with us. You will go through classes teaching you of the real truths behind Clandestine, and preparing you for the job you will take in the future."
Faith stood up and walked over to sit by him on the sofa. "Wish for me to tell you more, or do you wish to find out more on yourself? We can pick option three and I'll seal the deal." She extended her hand to shake, and waited for his reply. This time she didn't seem as if she were in a hurry and she seemed patient.

The boy moved a little bit away from the woman, not exactly because of fear but what she represented the unkown. " Um... tell me a little more about the school please" he asked. One minuet she was pressuring him to hurry up but now she seemed like he should be her top priority. In a sense it was kind of flattering, in another it was absolutely horrifying. And who's to say if he could trust her? Did he really have options to choose from or was she merely playing with him in some sadastic game? He shook his head a little and awaited for her answer.

Faith sighed and withdrew her hand. "The school is a secret school that teaches exactly what I have told you about...It teaches the truths of Clandestine. Clandestine isn't really the true Earth and is a fake. The school was made to teach selected people about the truths, and teach them more about their selected job in, or with, the government...." She was silent once more and tried to think of the school.
"I went there and I don't think it has changed much...It's only been a couple years... The school is located in the richer areas of Clandestine, and is guarded with the best of security. Students there...are usually bright...and it's pretty nice. If you want more...then I can't really give it to you. I can't really describe the classes. They're just like normal ones...except they don't teach you lies."
She looked at him, then glanced at a clock, and then her eyes rested as she looked through a window. The birds were singing again, and even if they weren't real, their songs were still so beautiful. She loved Clandestine's sounds, and often wondered about how Earth was before. It was now a barren wasteland, but one could only dream of how it use to be. "Would it make you feel any better...if I properly introduced myself to you, Lynn?"

So everything he knew about the city .... was fake? Well that was a real eye opener wasn't it? Who was she exactly? Too many questions for one moment. He slowly brought one of his hands to check his forehead, thank god he didn't have a temperature. Well he did but nothing out of the ordinary. Taking in a big breath he said, " Sure tell me who you are and why YOU know my name".

Jeoff had hired a babysitter an hour ago to take care of Matt at home but he was getting testy. So testy he actually got three gaurds and went out into Mist. Soon enough they found her sleeping in the dirt. Jeoff made an indication and a tranq was shot into his daughter to keep her asleep. Before long Jeoff found himself delivering the salty substance into her nose.
"Ugh... My head.." She commented as she sat up then looked around the room and noticed her father. "Dad...? What happened? How did I get here?" She asked half awake. "Damn teenage love.." He commented then continued. "Kathy, what the hell were you thinking!?" He snapped and she crooked her eyebrows while regaining her composure quite rapidly. "Where's Lynn!? Did you find him!?" She said and he shook his head and she sighed.
It might be because she was tired, or perhaps she just didn't care but Kat pulled out a cigarrette from her backpack. "Do you have a light?" She asked casually. Jeoff had to think a bit but only laughed a bit and tossed her a lighter. "The things are gonna help you later. I should know." He said and put a cigarrette in his own and waited for her to hand his lighter back. When she did he lit his own. "Kat.. I'm afraid I'll have to get straight to the point. You have three options.. You can either be reconditioned... Or join a school I took when I was young.." He said as he exhaled the toxic smoke after every word.
Kathy looked at him in confusion. "What do you mean? And my third choice?" She didn't understand, but she knew she will be in a few. "...Death..." He said and she only laughed. "Funny..." She said jokingly and he shook his head. "You've seen too much. As you know, we could easily live in the Mist... Hell.. If you were to just walk a couple miles outward and you'll be out of the Mist. This city is a lie." He said straightforwardly. She understood then and was looking at him blankly. "Choose." He pressed her. "Go to fucking hell. I'm going outside for a while." She said and rolled her eyes as she picked up her backpack.
A click sounded and she looked back at Jeoff who was pointing an old revolver at her. She laughed again. "You don't have the guts." She said and left. Jeoff slammed his fist on his desk, she was right. He called up the gaurds and told them to have her taken to Faith, she was the only one who could convince her. He sent a text to Faith telling that Kathy was found and would be delivered to her for persuasion and that Jeoff had failed to, but could she really blame him? Pointing a gun at his own daughter?

"I think it would be better if you did know. I'm Official Fatih Hill at your's and everyone's service. I know you because I posed as a highschool student at your school and is in the same class with you and your friend, Lucas." She smiled, and walked over to the window she had been looking through. "That's how I know you...and I also know from files in our database....but the files aren't updated..."
Before she could say anymore, her phone began to beat noisily. It was starting to get annoying and now, she was going to have to turn off her phone. But it was always off the hook, and always had something important, so she really couldn't turn it off. Faith growled in annoyance, before pulling out her phone reading Jeoff's message to her. Reading it made her feel disappointed.
"Jeoff...I left this to you because she's your daughter...Damn. From the things you've shown me...I really didn't expect you to act this way..."
Faith turned to Lynn with a fake smile and said, "Looks like Kathy will be joining us soon. She's in the same situation as your in...and might be put into the same school. You're pretty lucky, because normally...friends aren't allowed to see each other...But anyways, she'll be told the exact same things I have told you..."

By the time Jeoff got the gaurds ready, Kathy was already close to the city limits. She knew that her father would be sending someone so she had to find a good samaritan as quickly as possible. When she came to the road she noticed a car wtih a couple in it. She didn't know who they were but quickly ran up to their car and banged on it. "Help me!" She said quickly and just then a van pulled up in front of the car and quickly shot a dart at her and she fell. One of the gaurds knocked on the window while saying. "This is official police business, stay in the vehicle." The Russian-accented man warned as the gaurds quickly took Kathy away.

Lian forced the door open, trying to knock the guard from his feet. "Hey, hey!" She shouted to them. "I was to believe there was a no violence policy in this city." Her vision shifted to the gun inthe Russian accented man's holstier.. Gordon looked around nervously. "In the car please. I don't want to get arrested..." She completely disregarded him, and took the gun from the carrier. Pinning the man to the ground, she pointed the barrel at his head. "Let the girl be, or I'll shoot him." Gordon was about tearing up inside. -We're gonna die!- he screamed in his head.

The gaurds all looked at each other. They didn't know what to do. Their captain was pinned and they couldn't take any orders. The captain began to panick. "Do what she said!" He ordered and they put the girl down. They eyed to woman cautiously. 'And she's talking about no violence policy.' One of the gaurds thought as they awaited a new order. Kathy was unconcious on the ground, whatever they shot into her worked extremely quick.

"Retreive her." Lian commanded her husband. She wasn't going to mention any names. The smaller the chance these guys had of figuring who they were out, the better. Gordon had no choice, she'd never look at him the same if he didn't comply. But first, Lian shouted to the other men. "Drop your guns, all of you!"
