Eddy looked at the lighter she offered him. "No thanks, I should..." He said breaking off as he patted his pockets to find no lighter. "Alright then." He said with a smirk and accepted the lighter as he lit the fuse into the tobacco-wrapped paper. He handed the lighter back then listened as she introduced herself. He inhaled and exhaled calmly. "A pleasure Lana." He said with a smirk. "...So what's your story? Did you just happen to drive in and ram into someone, thinking they were dead? Or where you in the shower when one of those bastards came and grabbed you?" She said and he gave her an odd look. "Don't worry...I'm joking." She laughed as Eddy joined in the laugh. "Well... Actually. I was fixing my bike. A blood red Harley. The most prized posession of mine. Had to leave it behind when my neighbors decided to show some 'neighborly rivalry.'" He laughed. There were people dead and dying and they're in constant danger but might as well keep as much optimism as possible. Eddy looked away from the scenery to Lana and gasped. "Oh! Didn't you have a dog?"

"Rivalry? Ha, I bet they were jealous of your bike." She laughed with him and pulled her knees toward her, worrying about her dog and everyone else. Lana felt that it was her responsibility to help people because she could, and she was afraid of having someone die, even after she gave them medical attention. She hid her face behind her knees, ready to cry. But she held the tears back and Eddy took her mind away from the subject. "Huh?" She asked, jerking her head up and toward him.
"Oh! Didn't you have a dog?"
"Yeah, I did. He's somewhere in the mall...Knowing him...He'd probably be waiting for me..and beating up whatever thing tried to get near the elevator....I'm not worried though. They aren't dog people." She shrugged and took a deep breath of smoke.

"Hah! They should be. Thing costed enough for me to jump off this building now and run crippled to my house to get it. I'm almost considering it." He joked with a chuckle. He didn't seem to notice her ball up as he turned to gaze back at the city. Then she answered his question. "Hm, well.. When the lights come back on I'll go with you to get him." He said as he looked back at her with a smile. "Oh.. I never thanked you for getting supplies. Thank you. You're really brave." They must've went to the grocery store, all the way on the other side of the mall. Who knew what they faced... Besides them of course.

"...Thank you." She said, hearing him tell her that he would help her. "Oh... I never thanked you for getting supplies. Thank you. You're really brave." He told her and she smiled. "I had help...from Natalie and Carmen...and also from normal Television. These suckers die the same way as they do on TV, but they don't turn anyone into one of themselves. I'm actually glad....I was afraid that if someone turned into one of them...while I was fixing them up...Haha. Well, you get the idea..." She looked over the edge again, watching the red dots dance around. "This is just like a horror movie...except holliwood wasn't invited."

Carmen could hear movement behind her, and grasped the shotgun tightly. She assumed he was just being clumsy. After all, if he was talking about the vietnam war, he couldn't have been that young. Suddenly, what sounded like footsteps came from her right. She swung around quickly and pulled the trigger. She was only greeted with the sight of paint splattering everywhere, and an empty gun clip on the ground. She'd fired and hit the paint cans, but that was it. She watched as the shadow parted. -Damn it...the bastard is playing games with me....does he know how many shots I have." Reluctantly, she ejected the depleted shell. With one shell left, and alternate weapon would need to be in mind before she used it. Then she remembered. By the door, in the metal and glass case. "Break in case of emergency." The fire ax. It look untouched. If worse comes to worst, she'd b-line for that.

Suddenly a large metal thump as something jumped from the shelves. Machete at the ready as he flew intent in the air, the Machete ready to come down on the asian woman. If he missed he'd take cover, with quite admirable speed, behind a case, but if she fired he'd take a nip in the arm without so much as making a grunt.
"Oh yeah. I didn't see them when you were patching up that girl." Eddy rubbed his chin. "Um, I was kind of afraid of standing there myself." He admitted. "When you were patching up that girl.." Then he heard her response. "Ahaha.. If this were a big city like that, we'd all be dead right now."

"That or we'd be leaving everyone else behind. Let's be glad that everyone is ok...and hope that no one will get eaten up." She began to rub her arms, noticing that they were blood caked. "Eh, Fuck...I need to wash this shit off...and get a new change of clothes...but it can't be helped...You can't avoid blood down there.." She took the cancer stick from her lips and threw it over the edge. "I wish I could have brought something else other than smokes...So you sure you wanna go out with me tomorrow?"

Hearing large crash above her, she immediately hit the deck, covering vitals, assuming a fetal position. She heard the swish of something lights slashing through the hair, the sound of boots hitting the ground. A moment later, they scampered off. It was becoming increasingly obvious. In order for the scare tactics to stop, she'd need to come out of the cover. She wanted to get this over with anyway. She advanced, moving forward in a tactical style, looking over her should every four seconds. She'd need to nail this threat with this last shell, or she'd before to get close to him. Even if she did manage to get the fire ax, he was much stronger, his weapon lighter. If it came down to who swung first, it would probably not be her.

((I finally got around to this, and I'm out of ideas as to what to post, sorry.))
"Ow! ow! ow! Hey!" Eugene brushed Alyssa off his shoulder and held the door to the Paradise Plaza open. "Here you are, ladies." he snickered and clapped David on the back as he walked past. "Kinda chilly tonight." He looked at his stolen watch, now promoted to perpetual wear. "Sun should be up in a few hours though." he looked ahead and saw a pile of zombies vying for dinner on top of a zombie that must've fallen pray to the snipers, and, humbled, said "We should hurry up... " he started jogging in place and shouted "Double time!" to the two people who probably wouldn't have any idea what that meant.

The piece of paper that was being passed around got to Brandon, and he scribbled down his name, and got to "R" before realizing that "Carly" was already written. he scratched it out and passed it to a husky woman in a purple jumpsuit sitting next to him. The nurse walked in front of the group and started a speach before she was interrupted by the black guy that seemed to be running the whole operation. "...Everything...Everything will be ok. We'll get through this and survive, I swear on my life..." "There is a helicopter coming in three days! That photo journalist said so!" Brandon piped up. "How many? I mean, There are how many people here, and a heli only carries four, five people?" he addressed the crowd after she got up and left. "I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that won't work."

"Thanks babe.." David managed to grunt on his way past Eugene into Paradice. Alyssa grasped the door behind Eugene and pushed him forward. "By the looks of it I got bigger balls than you, so after you ma'am." She said a she pushed him again. Then he began running and Alyssa followed. There wasn't as many here as there were in the entrance plaza so that made things much easier. Before long Eugene had led them to the elevator...
"I hear ya." Eddy chuckled. "I'm dying for a shower." He said, throwing his arms into his lap warily and blowing a mouth full of smoke out from the side of his mouth. "Yeah, sure. I'll come with you. I want to test the intelligence of these things anyways." He scoffed.
Another chuckle echoed through the store followed by another hiss of the obvious explosive now hurtling towards the woman again. The attacker knew the dangers of a close attack so he decided to try at long distance, or perhaps he could lead her back to the labyrinth of isles to make her expend more ammo.

"Well, for one, I know that these things aren't interested in dogs, even if the dog isn't as armed... Hmm...Testing their intelligence would be something to do...I'd rather do something than just sit in the security rooms, you see? I can't stand doing nothing and being bored..." She sighed, and looked over the edge once more. "I wonder why there eyes glow...Maybe, we can also find out how these monsters came to be... I mean, we don't have that big of a cemetary to have all of them, and I doubt it was from a chemical spill...or a disease."

Hearing the hollow clunk behind her, as well as the hissing of the flame, she dove forward and covered her head. The explosion came, and debris floated harmlessly ontop of her. Carmen growled, she was tired of this. "Why don't you show yourself? What are you afraid of?!" Calling out to the elusive foe.

the three of them stepped into the elevator and the doors glided shut. "His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy, There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti..." he caught a "please don't" look from David, and and mumbled "What? this thing need some music." he cleared his throat and started again. "He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready To drop bombs, but he keeps on forgettin' What he wrote down, the whole crowd goes so loud..." the doors slit open, and the familiar ghostly wailing greeted them. A dot of orange glow floated, and stayed in the air for a few seconds before falling back to the ground. "How corrupted humanity is. We're in an apocalyptic hellhole and still?" he said jokingly to the smoking couple. "This is the roof of the mall, as you could probably guess." he turned back to the newcomers. "As far as we can tell, we are completely safe here. The Security Room is just a little ways further," he stepped around Eddy and helped the other two up. "Through the air vent. he took up the tail and ducked under the lip. "Careful. There's a pretty good drop near here."

It didn't take long for David to get annoyed from the erupted singing of Eugene. He sent him a glance and Alyssa shook her head. "That's disgusting..." She murmered to herself of his lyrics.
"I doubt that too." Eddy agreed. "There isn't a nuclear plant for miles and miles. Hell, we'd know if they were placing nuclear waste. Could it be a virus maybe?" Eddy asked rhetorically, not really expecting an answer. After all, they didn't know. Suddenly a ding sounded, indicating the elevator has arrived. Eddy glanced over to see the people exiting. "More people...?" Eddy murmered and saw them pass. One seemed vaguely familiar, the other twowere unknown. A woman in an ugly red suit and a man in obvious plumbing outfit. They both entered the shaft. "We're probably going to get some more food too huh?" Eddy mumbled to Lana.
Alyssa saw the people and smiled. 'Finally some humans.' She said mentally. They went through the shafts and out into the security room. Alyssa laughed crazilly, David just found a place to rest. "Hello!" Alyssa shouted. "If anyone knows anything come here and tell... Me....." She said when she saw a familiar face. She didn't personally know him, but people like her and this man, well, their names travel between each other quickly as competition. She quietly walked over to the man with the large camera and leaned against the wall. "I've seen your face before." She said acidically. "Frank West right?" She spat out the words and her eyes wrinkled into a glare. "I assume you're not here to sing koom baiya with the zombies."
In response to the woman's question a chuckle came. "It's war, honor doesn't matter." A faint whisper came, barely loud enough for the woman to hear over the sound of another hiss as another explosive hissed its way toward her, this one seemed to have a shorter fuse, purposely. 'By her fear and urgency to not waste her ammo, she's low...'

-Great! Another one!- Carmen could hear it coming, but there was no time to react. The explosion came early and close, and she was knocked to the ground, shotgun falling out of reach. Right now, the fire ax seemed like a good weapon to run for. It didn't seem like he was going to approach her while a firearm was in possession. She slowly got to her feet and limped slowly over to the metal container which held the ax. Grasping the metal slide attached to the chain, she shattered the glass with it, and took the heavy tool out. -Shit...I didn't think it would be this heavy...- she mused with herself, looking around. That bastard should come out now.
