Toris nodded, showing he agreed, but Zenmai did see something wrong about this, the same Mai had spotted. ( I believe she was thinking to herself though) "Toris and I have been stationed here for many months, and we never really left the village, except on the occasional wood gathering, but we still didn't go past the outskirts. You, Lynn, are the only one who really knows your way around this forest. I don't know about the other two, but if we split up, we'll get lost faster than a lost sheep in a heard of cow." Toris rolled his eyes. "You worry too much. Let's just get these supplies, and get going..."

" Zenmai could you go with Roger and Mai to go to the Item store and pick up a few potions, poison salve, two weeks worth of dry rations, two water skins for each of us. And two maps of the area, they might be of some use to us. Wile Toris and I prepare everything else" he enlisted everyone. If they were to survive up here then all should work together without complaint. " Once we have done this quest, and actually survived. Then you will all have something to have accomplished. That thought alone should drive you" Lynn stated.

Mai hated to object to things and grew quite shy when she had to, that is why she did not speak up before but she had to this time. "Um... Maps wouldn't do much.. Good.. The snow covered up alot and possibly changed the landscape, we'd never be able to read it clearly." She said after poking her head out. It was true, last time there was at least three feet of snow. Today the weather seemed worse and snow could've covered up crevasses and other things that might have been marked on the map thus leading to confusion. She didn't mean to be so pessimistic but she just wanted to state that in case Lynn was thinking of splitting up which for the four others would be a possible fatal action. Then again, it still wouldn't hurt to grab a map just in case.

" These maps... are unique to our area alone. When our village was first made, many of the villagers perished in these mountains. Our sage back then thought they had upset the spirits who portected this once desolate land. So they prayed for the lost souls and prayed to the spirits of the land for peace. That came long after though. When my grandfather was young a snow spirit came. She brought a gift and other sorts. A map of the area, we cherished it. But it was forever changing due to the weather. It showed us where we were when we travelled out of this place. It showed resting points and showed were on the map. She taught the spell to our people. Now it is in every map. Anyone who has lived here since birth was taught it. So you don't really have to fear anything if your lost" Lynn told his companions. And them having those types of maps would be invaluable in any case. So if they got those then, they would no longer need to fear as much. " And maybe some proper attire for you guys would help. I will speak with the tailor, but after you have retreived those items requested. That way the tailor could make clothes that properly fitted" he smiled.

"Well, if you say so..." Zenmai then signaled to the two children to come with her. Having been stationed there long enough, she knew were a few merchants were. "What do we need...uhh potions, antidote vials, and supply rations." "That'd be twelve(insert currency name here)" "What?! Look at what I wear, do I look like a noble!" "Sorry lady, that's the price." Zenmai mumbled a few things under her breath, before tossing the pouch of coins at the merchant's head. "There. Now let's find those maps." Meanwhile, Toris remained with Lynn, wait for instructions. "So..uhh, by "prepare everything else" what did you mean?"

" Erm... I was wondering if you'd come with me so I can get some things from my home. My father... isn't stable" he murmured lowly. He wanted so much for that man to pass away but no he couldn't. And he wanted something that his mother gave him, something that he cherished always. And which was hidden under the house's floorboards. He didn't want to forget her... even a bit of her.

"Unstable? What is he a drunkard or something?" It didn't take long for Toris to realize what(I think)Lynn was doing. "Oh, I see. You want a guardian to come with just incase, right?" He put his steel clad hand upon the boys head. "So what do you want me to do if he rushes at you? Surely you don't want me to kill him...the unseen ones would never forgive me if I did without reason, because drunk men recover."

" He doesn't drink... so if he did attack then it would be from a sober man. It's just that .... it's no longer safer for me in that house that I once called home" he whispered lowly, his speak was audible but only barely. " This way" he said before walking to a house near the end of the village. Lynn didn't bother to look back to see if Toris was coming or not.

"What a rip off..." Roger mumbled then followed Zenmai. Mai wanted to have some conversation with this person since she didn't know whether to trust her or not. "So have you been here long?" Mai asked Zenmai as she stuck her bunny head out of Roger's hood. Roger never minded her being up there and neither did she since she knew he had good balance and could even run with her on his head though she MIGHT fall off if they were very unlucky.

Toris was following, Lynns words had gotten to him, having his sympathy overrun his zeal. "Let him come for you your throat...I'll be standing right beside you." He stated with smile, catching up. "My partner and I were recruited from the country to the east known as Cantha only a few months ago. And--" When she turned her head, she might have had to do a double-take, for she didn't believe the rabbit was speaking to her. Assuming the boy had not reached puberty yet, she continued on. "And during those months, nothing has happened. Now enough of that. Where can we find these maps at a "reasonable" price...."

Roger scratched his head curiously. "what's in her head? Why'd she look at me as if I were the one talking with her?" Roger shrugged. "By the sound of how magical the maps are from Lynn they've got to be quite pricy..." Mai said with dismay as she moved her head back into Roger's hood.

Once he got there, both he and toris entered the building. He took a quick look around before turning to Toris. " Can you wait right here? If anything goes wrong I'll call for you okay" he gave the mecenary a lopsided grin before departing to the door on the right side of the room. He entered the quickly shut it closed. He found a back pack, and torn opened the floor boards, and found what he was looking for. A silver chain and pendant. " I miss you mom" he whispered to no one.
" Surprising to hear that from your mouth you little whore". The man named Jack spat out at Lynn, He grabbed hold of his neck, lifting the young boy from the ground. Lynn now choking and grasping his 'father's hands on his neck. " You'll finally get what you deserve" he whispered before punching the young boy in the gut. That blow incapacitated the youth.

Zenmai let out a puff of air. "Yeah, you're probably right. Damn that Toris. Not wanting to get paid. Well, we can wait for Lynn to ask where we purchase these maps..." She sat down upon the well. "So where are you two from? You don't look like the children from around here." Now it was she who was trying to start a conversation. "Any moment now...." Toris was talking amongst himself, when he hears a loud crash in th room to the right, like a brawl was going on. "Oh..that can't be good..." Toris departed that area, as fast as the armor on him would allow. He kick open the door, with the "righteous scythe" in hand. He did not feel it was time to use that present from the priestess yet. "Unhand him now!" Toris shouted, not even giving the man a chance too. A steel clad boot found it's mark upon his side. "The unseen ones look down upon you in shame! If you wish to redeem yourself, fight a man who can fight back!"

"We're from... Miet.." Roger finally spoke up slowly but refused to say anymore, instead Mai finished his sentence. "Unfortunately our village is no longer in existance... That's why we're here..." She said sadly. Roger took a deep breath and pushed his emotion straight out of himself and his face grew emotionless again, almost looking angry. If there was anything Roger was best at, it was his ability to mask over sadness with anger.

Throwing away the child aside ot the wall. Twisting his form to turn to the mercenary. the hand that struck Lynn was covered by metal. A spiked metal gauntlet. " You think your going to save that incompetent fool?" he questioned viciously. He tried to strike Toris, swinging his fist about. Thrashing, it was an attempt to try and hurt him. " did you know I put a special salve on these? to cause paralysis and a very rare type of poison I found long before I came to this frozen waste land. I'll promise you that no one knows the antidote for it here either". That was when his fist came directly for Toris' chest.
