Her brother-in-law, Gary came over and given her the money he owed her. Grumbling how the Seahawk's lost to a horrible team such as the Patriots. " Oh hush up-" before being interrupted by a call from her Modeling Agency, she had kindly declined the offer for a prospective job offer by saying she was feeling a tad ill at the moment and coughed on cue. Pretending to sniffled, etc. " I'm sorry" she said finally.
" And I'm free for a bit longer" she relished in this type of thing. She offered him a cup of coffee but it turned out the he was already for a previous engagement, namely her older sister Jamelia.
" Oh alright, but don't be too late or she's bite your head off" she teasingly warned her in-law. Then bid him adieu.

-Katrina Lopez...- Yoko thought to herself, and immediately remembered the name. What a coincidence that the two would have identical numbers. "N-no! Wait!, Please!" Yoko called into the phone. "It's me, Yoko Musagi...from high school and college." Having not heard the click of the phone, she continued. "I was trying to call Natalia...you remember her? Turns out you two have identical phone numbers...hehee. Please, don't hang up. I have a proposal. She invited me to come with her to get a coffee or something...if you're not busy, perhaps...you would like to come? She uhh--gave me her address, and I could relay it too you...I'm sure she wouldn't mind you coming...infact, I'm sure she'd be ecstatic. She wants to..meet up with us."
"Yoko!" The supervisor of the investigators called to her. "You marked the body as a homicide...mind showing me why." "Uhh, sure. Gil...." She told him, and went back to the phone. "Hey listen, I need to go, but I'll give you Natalia's phone number...give her a call, I'm sure she'd appreciate it." She said the numbers and hung up.

"Yoko Musagi?" She asked, attempting to remember who she was. "High school and college?" Katrina scratched her head and listened to what she had to say and shrugged. When Yoko hang up, and threw her phone on the bed. "Natalia? Why would I want to call her...I'm not into the mags she gets on..." Richard came up to tell her about another call and she growled at him. "Not another word---" "You remember your first designs? I remember you asking for them, to see if there are any worthy ones to show as examples, and I finally brought some home. They're in the loft..."
She looked at him sleepily and walked to the room she spent most of her time in, the loft. Katrina unrolled the paper and smiled, recognizing it as one of her designs done in college. This was her favorite home designs and she loved creating it. Seeing the pieces of papers again reminded her of why she made it and she gasped. "This is...the first one that got rejected...Natalia! Richard, my phone! My phone! Where'd I put it?" She walked out of her work place and ran down the stairs, reaching for the home phone. "Who are you calling?" Richard asked her. "Business call...I've accepted this proposal...and I'm going to do it..."
"So you are alright again?" She kissed him on the cheek and nodded, walking into the living room to dial in her number. Katrina didn't really know why she was so anxious to call her, or why she wanted to call her in the first place. Was it so she could continue the fight years back, or something else? She didn't know, but she then pressed the call button.

After what's his nuts left the female model lied down on the couch and surfed through the channels, finally deciding on the recent interview she took before Justin's funeral. She sighed at how dull her answers were and how they reminded her of the Miss USA Pagent.... oh god she hated that. It was odd though, she kept her lips tightly shut when they asked her what caused her to lead a life of drugs, alcohol, etc before she cleaned up.
She'd always detoured that subject as best as possible before old wounds opened up and caused her a nose dive in her career that she desperately established. After five minutes or so from watching the television the woman fell asleep, a power nap if you will.
No snoring but alot of tossing and turning. She dreamed that night over and over again. All three ladies calling each other whores, sluts, no talent hacks, and the sort. And how Justin stood in the background ..... smiling. In all the years she thought about that fight she never remembered that bastard smile. And as if on cue the phone rang in her dream and also in reality.
" Huh?" she flung herself forward. Natalia lazily look at the caller I.D and didn't recognize it. But never really thought much of the situation; assuming that the call was from Yoko although in reality it was from Katrina.
" Hello Natalia Sen's residence, Natalia speaking" she drawled out in a sweet song like tone. ' Might as well be nice as possible. I already fucked up once. And that was enough' she determined.

"You see this laceration here. I immediately knew this was a knife wound, and of course...being in Seattle, there is always that chance of suicide, but why kill yourself with a knife...it is much too painful." Yoko began telling the supervisor. "And beisdes...this woman wouldn't have been able to make a straight stab anyway. You're looking a jagged ended blade, possibly a steak or bread knife."
"Then how did she die of asphyxia?" The super visor brought up.
"That's easy...she didn't bleed do death...blood filled her lungs...put simple, she drowned in it." Yoko responded.
"Hmm...well thanks Yoko."
She nodded, and looked at the clock. Plenty of daylight left. That brightened up her day. Her shift was almost over, do to how early she started. She'd just need to make that call to Natalia. But as she did, the line had the busy tone. Tapping her chin at the sound, she grabbed her keys. "I don't think she'd mind if I just...tried to drop by..."

"..." She was silent for a while, realizing that the person she was talking too was the real deal. Although she was only a couple months younger than Natalia, they use to treat her as if she were years younger. They were like sisters and she used to look at the two when they didn't have the fight. She cuddled up on one square on the sofa and thought of what to say. "Hi. This is Katrina Lopez. I was told to call you for another buisness meeting. I'm sorry that..." Her voice grew smaller at the word that, but she took a deep breath and sighed. "that...you r-rejected the first design I gave to you. I'm sure that it wasn't to your standards..."
Katrina looked at the phone and just silently stared. "No...Nevermind. I'm sorry...for calling you and inturrupting whatever it was you were doing...I really didn't mean too." Right now, she couldn't talk to Natalia. She was afraid of starting another fight again and afraid of just talking to her after all the years. "I shouldn't have called in the first place. God damn...I don't even know what I'm doing."

" Katrina?" she paused at the name. Definately being shaken out of her stupor. " Don't hang up!" she nearly shouted. " I-I did like the design. But a year ago I couldn't let go... I couldn't let go of that horrible grudge. But after" gulping down air to try and just get this off her chest she fought the urge to hang the phone up on the reciever. " After Justin's funeral I began thinking of what I did to you two. All the name calling, critizing, and basically everything. I was the worst friend in the world. I hope you can forgive me someday".
Natalia looked at the clock and noticed it was still lunch time. " Rina how about you drop by my house today?" Rina had been the nickname Natalia awarded her younger 'sister' and Rina had given Yoko a nickname was well. "I'd like to see some of your designs. And we can discuss a new business proposition. I could make my famous spaghetti you loved so much" she laughed softly at the comment. For some reason Rina had only loved the way she had made it, and refused anyone elses after going to many, many restaurants. The sad thing was she only followed the recepie on the box.
" So how about it? I really would love to see the new sketches". The first house Katrina ever had constructed was actually bought by the Writer turned Model after the release of the best seller novel she wrote. Then after really learning who designed the house she was about to live in she sold it.

First, Yoko needed to make the trip back to her locker, too grab that little rectangular box. One of the investigators was there, ready about to take his leave for the day. "Oh hey, Yoko." He greeted, as he saw her enter. "Hey there, David." She fumbled with her lock again, and picked the box from it's spot. "Whatya got there?" "Oh? This is for a friend of mine. We're meeting up again for a reunion...knew eachother since high school." "Looks pretty big...and it's for a friend you say? Wow. I haven't seen my sister since elementary school, and the most she's given me was a calender...actually that is all she's given me.." The investigator turned back to his locker, gathered his last item, and left. "Take care, Yoko."
She waved him away, and cradled the box as if it were her very lifeline. Next she gathered all her casual wear by the hangers in her free hand, for showing up in her bloody coroner gear would be embarrassing, and headed for the woman's changing room. She quickly changed, and stuffed her gear into the bag supplied. Both hands now occupied, she left the hangers where they were...wouldn't be difficult to replace, as she headed down the hall and out the door into the parking lot. She stored the gear into her car's trunk, and placed the gift onto the seat, before reaching into her pocket to get the home address again. She had no idea where this place was, but she did have an onboard computer that would tell her...a Tom-tom(I like tom tom ^^). She entered the address into the computer, and let the GPS do it's thing. "Wow...that is like on the otherside of town." She said with a scoff, before putting the car in gear, and driving off.

"I-I did like the design. But a year ago I couldn't let go... I couldn't let go of that horrible grudge. But after...
Katrina looked down and remembered her words. "I hate it. Never come to me again with this bullshit." Her stomach began to twist and warm tears welled up in her eyes. Natalia's words had hit her hard back then because it was the first design she made, or the first one she worked so hard on, and because she had looked up to her as a big sister, and expected her to be proud of her and happy. "Oh god..." She whispered, looking back at the past. A small spark of hatred began in Katrina and she slightly blamed Natalia on what was happening to her now.
She's living life large, while I'm fucking struggling to keep my damn job, she thought, she's the one who did it. That bitch is the one who started it!
"After Justin's funeral I began thinking of what I did to you two. All the name calling, criticizing, and basically everything. I was the worst friend in the world. I hope you can forgive me someday."
"..." She didn't say anything and just listened. Natalia's apology seemed to extinguish the small spark, but Katrina still felt a little angry. Finally she spoke in the calmest tone she could come up with. "Natalia...I understand." Katrina sighed and looked to the fridge in the kitchen, thinking of getting another bottle of beer.
If Natalia or Yoko saw her drinking, she expected them to be surprise. When she was with the two girls in college, and some years in high school, due to her studying in a different school, she used to be strictly against the consumption of alcohol. She would use to ask them to never bring her to places selling beers and such, and would often scold people drinking. In those days, she never imagined herself to be the person with the bottle, drinking away her worries.
Katrina walked to the fridge and got herself a corona. "Damn...hoping for a different one, but Richard got this one..." She muttered, popping the cap off with a bottle opener. She walked back to the phone to hear Natalia use the nick name she had given her."Rina, how about you drop by my house today?" Natalia said, pausing before saying more, "I'd like to see some of your designs. And we can discuss a new business proposition. I could make my famous spaghetti you loved so much..."
She drank half of the bottle by the time Natalia repeated her question. " So how about it? I really would love to see the new sketches"." Katrina drank the rest and then answered. "Yeah...I'll brink some sketches...and can't wait fo' the spagetti...What? What time...? And where again? Chea...where's your house? Oh! Um...Yoko wanted to tell you about something...and said my cell is only ond digit away.."
"God...this has 'fuck' written all over it, huh?"

The middle eastern woman answered her younger 'sister'. " Umm... time could be around one-ish. It's only twelve o'clock right now so that should be fine right?" she asked quickly. This was more nerve wrecking then facing her parents about refusing to be in an arranged marraige.
" Um my address is ...." she paused momentarily to think hard about it. Natalia really didn't expect her offer to be accepted. " My address is-" there the girl trailed off telling her exactly how to get to her place from a certain coffee hut near the younger girl's home.
" I hope that helps you" she said. After saying there good byes, she hung up the phone and started on lunch making sure that there was enough for left overs. The burnette started to boil the water and while that started to bubble she would cut celery, mix spices and puree the tamatoes for a home made style sauce, then she started to make some hamburger.
With all the time has gone by she noticed the time it's already been half an hour. And everything would be finished by the time Rina would come here. She darted back and forth from the island in the middle of the kitchen to the cupboards, to the drawers for knives and to the fridge and of course make a round about turn to the stove.
'This should be a filling lunch' the lady thought. She would have to ask her dear friend the choice of beverage when she comes to eat. That way she didn't make a wrong choice, maybe a martini or perhaps water; Natalia had a quick shot of vodka before continuing on with the meal.

In that time Natalia took to cook, Yoko took to drive. Having nearly transversed Seattle completely, she was quite relieved to hear Tom-Tom say "Approaching on right". She wasn't too big on driving, especially in this city, but it was the only way to get around. She turned her gaze to the right to stare at her home. "Wow...beats my condo anyday..." She mumbled to herself, and killed the motor.
She pulled open the door, not forgetting to grab the gift in the passenger's seat. What house in this box? A pair of stilettos, with four inch heels, colored black. Yoko had no idea what they were made of, but she assumed snakeskin, most likely fake. They were roughly two-hundred dollars anyway. The real thing might have been over five, and she couldn't spend that kind of money.
Yoko had finally made her way up to the door, and held the brass knocker in her hand. She had some thought of her past with this woman however. Remembering that night just as they did. In that room, exchanged insults and throwing objects at each other. She remembered that specifically that Natalia had thrown a small framed picture at her, and how she nearly avoided the corner of it impaling her left eye. With a deep breath, she pulled the knocker back and let it go, watching as it collided with the wooden door and let out that loud thud.

After she hung up, Katrina waited fifteen minutes before moving off the chair. She did so, because she was waiting for Richard to leave. After her boyfriend had left, she went over to the fridge and finished a few more bottles, before taking a bath and getting dressed. "I had too much..." She moaned, while lying in her bed. Katrina had dressed herself in simple gray sweatpants and a her favorite close-fitting white shirt. It was the shirt that she would always wear to gym. "I can't call fuding Richard...Psshh...He's working." The woman grabbed her sedan's keys and her cell phone. In only a few minutes she was on the road.
She was speeding past stop signs and through red lights. Luckily for Katrina, there was no one around to report her and no officers around. She parked seven houses away from Natalia's house and readied herself. Katrina put her hair up and got out of her car, locking it after. A dog behind the fence, of the house she parked in front of, barked at her, and a long chain of profanity came out of her mouth. After a few minutes of cursing, the owner finally came out and the owner and her were at it for about five minutes.
Katrina kicked the fence and finally the dog silenced itself. "You shouldn't do this to animals." The owner said and she apologize. When the owner turned, she flicked out her middle finger and spat on the dog. "I hate these things...and now my foot fucking hurts." The annoyed woman open her trunk and took a few rolls of paper and closed the trunk. Her foot was hurting and had a really bad headache. Why had she agreed to this again?
"I hate my job...and I don't really want to be here...But still...I find it so fucking necessary."

After every plate, knife, glass, spoon & fork was set she already had two glasses of wine. ' What the hell did I get myself into?' she thought. This was like the time she wrote a book. She never thought she'd ever publish it but then again she did and people loved it. Yet in all respects that was fucking easier then her showing her body in bras & panties.
She poured the sauce into a small bowl with a small ladle in it and placed it on the table, then came the spaghetti, another large oval plate was used. Taking a quick glance at the clock she found she had enough time to change and fix her make up.
She chose a a pair of jeans and an emerald green, empire waist styled shirt; creating the illusion that her waist was even smaller then it already was to make the Hourglass figure. She loved the sleeves since they draped over her arms and sort of sagged on the bottom while there was a slit on top where it show cased some skin.
Scanning the bottom of her closet she spied the shoe box she was searching for. December 26th, 2006. A pair of yellow Dolce & Gabbanna, timeless pair of high heeled shoes. They were five and a half inches high which only helped her to reach the height of 6'1 & 1/2.
Natalia quickly fixed her eyes in a striking purple Smokey eye, and a pail purple for her lips. For her hair the woman did a quick brush through and tied it into a messy bun. ' There now I look like myself'
Once walking out of her bedroom she head the door knocker. Odd that who ever was trying to get her attention didn't use the door bell. Shaking her head the girl rushed down the stairs while trying not to kill herself, opening the door to reveal Yoko. " Yoko?" she asked almost ludicrously " Oh sorry come in" she motioned the Asian woman. It was a pleasant surprise at least.

Yoko took her up quickly on that offer, and stepped inside. She removed her shoes, and placed them by the door, just as she would in her own home, before stepping onto the carpet. She started at the gift, then to Natalia. She thought herself an idiot. Why put a tag on it when you're just going to hand it over? She quickly hoped Natalia wouldn't catch that little part, and with both hands, presented her the gift. "I got these for you." She said in a recessive tone. "I'm not exactly sure on what style you liked...or what material, so I bought one of the more expensive ones...that looked nice on my feet." She kicked herself mentally again, she didn't speak or think straight under certain pressure...and she could consider a reunion with an old friend, who for a while was an enemy, certain pressure. Although she and Natalia were practically the same in shoe size, she probably shouldn't have told her how she chose them. "So this is your house..." She smiled. "It looks big for a single person..."

She began to walk to Natalia's house with her massive rolls of paper. Katrina wanted to be at home finishing the last few bottles of corona that Richard had bought. She wanted to stay in bed the whole time, either sleeping or just staring at the ceiling for no reason. She wanted to do so many things other than what she was going to do now. She didn't want to meet the two woman and she didn't want to see them face to face for the first time in a long time. Katrina didn't want to, but she felt that she had to fix what had happened in the past. She felt like she just had to.
After stopping a few times to pick up the rolls of paper she had dropped, she reached the front of Natalia's house. "So rich and famous, huh? Life must come easy for her then." Katrina stood there frozen for a while, and finally she decided to walk up to the door. As she got closer, she realized that the two people standing by the doorway were Yoko and Natalia. "..." Her head was turned to the ground, afraid of giving eye contact. "...Hi?"
