After gesturing Yoko in she took the package and smiled that Yoko still loved the fact have a border-lined shoe fetish. She had to giggle at the fact she tried them on first. " Don't worry about, seriously" she calmed her old friend, er ex-friend? Oh well it didn't matter as long as everything was in the past. Nodding her head she was about to close the door when out of the corner of her eye she spied Katrina.
Who was now more of a woman before. She looked good despite the fact she was wearing sweats and a simple white shirt. She smiled lightly and replied back. " Hi" she said softly.
It had started this awkward silence of sorts, like seeing an old flame. This probably the worst idea she ever had. But who knows maybe it would work out? HA! ' That's fairy tale shit, wanting that perfect life'
" Come on in" she pleasantly said. She also motioned Yoko to move aside a bit as to let the younger woman to be let by.

"Thank you." Katrina stopped herself from entering and took off her shoes, noticing Natalia's clean floors. She stepped inside and passed the two, looking at her surroundings. She frowned, remembering what had took place because of Justin and sighed, wishing that she did write down that she wanted him to burn in hell. The past was past though and she needed to get over it. It was so hard to do so.
She turned around to look at the two. Natalia and Yoko were just so different and so far from her. "...Um. Where do I put these papers? I'm here to talk to you about new housing designs, right?" Katrina talked if that was the only reason she was in the house, with two of the people she had onced loved like sisters, and once and perhaps still hated like her enemies. "There are quite a few and I don't want them to get messed up."
Even though she talked in a way, it was obvious that she had came there as a friend, or something like that. Normally, she would have dressed up in her finest suit and came, but on this occasion she chose to come as her normal self, in sweats and a white shirt. It was obvious that she wasn't just for buisness, and that some part of her wanted to fix what happened.
"You guys seem sucessful..." She said quietly.

Yoko chuckled at the last thing Katrina had said. "Successful? No. Managing? Yes." She let her butt find the nearest seat available, and crossed her legs. "What are you? And architect?" Her tone was starting to break. She was doing her best to hide her envy for these two's success, which was starting to slip obviously. "Well, you should stop moping...and drowning yourself in alcohol. You smelled like a bar when you walked in here." She studied Katrina's attire, especially her left ring finger. -She's married.- she thought to herself. "You have a husband, too. And I bet that means you live in a house, judging by your high payment, it could even be a mansion. You want to know what I live in? A condo! And the landlord who owns it is a real ass."
Yoko put her hand up and shook her head. Obviously she still held something against these two, and it seemed Katrina especially. It might be because she was the eldest at twenty-seven years. Being out successed by a younger one might hurt ones pride.
She rolled her tongue in her mouth then looked up. "I'm really sorry. I-I've been working to hard lately...seen and cut open to many bodies, just have had alot on my mind right now." Her eyes suddenly shifted to the door. Maybe it wasn't too late to forget this.

Noticing the timidness of Yoko she quickly shut the door. " Come on, I made lunch at least we could have lunch and first talk about what's been happening in our lives after college". Oh boy did this ever say disaster. No disaster wasn't strong enough of a word. Apocalyptic. Yes apocalyptic suited much better. Far more better then disaster.
" And beleive it or not, I'm not as rich as you think. I bought this house with my inheritence from my parents. And the money I recieved from my book I mostly gave to my brothers except for the taxes of the bloody thing. I live off my modeling career mostly" she quietly spoke while walking over to the dinning room table.
" And Katrina, honestly. Why did you drive while being impaired? Honestly. If there was a cop or something and he stopped you, you would have been thrown in jail" she started. Even after all these years she still felt she had to baby Rina.

"I'm sorry." Katrina had said quietly and didn't bother to look up at the two. "...A house...and a husband." She mentally laughed. "Yeah...I guess you can say that..." Right now, she wasn't doing well at work and therefore, wasn't getting paid as much. Richard was pissed off at her for her habit of drinking and was getting even more pissed off. The bills were coming in and were never getting paid. Yeah, she was sucessfully rich. Her whole life right not was just the best.
"...So no one saw me... and why the fuck would I care if I got into jail. It's a whole lot better than going to work to face a bitch out to get you and to ruin everything. Damn whore...trying to get some of my husband..." She replied back to Natalia. Katrina sighed and looked up at the ceiling. The first time she ever spoke to Natalia in a way was when they had fought. Katrina hoped that this was the last time.
God, why did you let me think that I could fix this...Damn. I was wrong...
She had followed Natalia to the table and looked down at the spagetti she had onced loved. Whenever Richard tried to cook something, he always insisted on spagetti, but Katrina would always refuse. "...Wow." That was her favorite food before and now it was a food she thought that she would never eat again.

Yoko lifted her self from the seat and followed Natalia to the dining room table. Seemed she and Katrina were on the same thought channel, think that mending this rift would be impossible. But Natalia didn't seem to think that. And as long as one of them was trying, there was still a small chance of success. She took her mind of the situation at hand at hand and started at the food. Natalia had made her spaghetti. It'd been a few years since she tried that sauce she made. Although she did prefer some restaurant recipes over her ex-friends, she did enjoy to eat it. -Hmm...wasn't this the meal we used to sign our pact so long ago...- Yoko begin to think back again. Not to the fight though, before they even met Justin. There was much hugging involved, she did remember that much.
"It looks wonderful." She told Natalia, her tone of voice much different from before.

Once the other two ladies sat down, Natalia brought out a pitcher of water and a pitcher of juice. And placed them closer to the other two women. And she fled off to the kitchen again this time she poured herself a glass of wine and quickly drank the red wine. And braced her hands on the island and panted a bit. ' Fuck sakes' she thought.
This was turning out a bit nerve wracking. She simply wiped her mouth with a small towell, and breathed in deeply. She straightened herself out and sighed out. She grabbed another wine glass and her bottle of wine. And returned to the dinning room.
She walked into the room and smiled at the two. " If you two want anything specific for a choice of beverage just tell me now alright" she said in a sweet tone.
' Why the fuck did I have to do this all at once?' she wondered. ' Bing two of my old friends and confront them about everything. Brilliant, pure fucking brillaince Natalia'.

She thought her headache would go away, but it only got worst. "No thanks and I'm fine." Katrina wanted to drink more, but Natalia would probably stop her from doing so and scold her. Her thirst would just have to wait until she got home, or atleast until she got to go to the liquor store she had seen earlier. Richard wouldn't mind if she came back late, right?
Katrina sat there wondering about a subject they could all agree on and talk about and only came up with the word, Justin. "He was an asshole..." She thought outloud without realizing she did so. Justin was what started the fight years ago and she hated him for doing so. "God..."

"No, no. Water is all fine for me, Natty." Yoko responded to her friend, purposely using her old nickname. Then hearing what Katrina let out, she could only nod in agreement. "He was...even more so than my current landlord." She looked up from the food and thought back to the funeral. The sight of him dead. She was sure it brightened up everyone who was in this room's day. "This sounds horrible. But I was originally hoping he was murdered. Then perhaps I could have done an autopsy on him. Cut open his head, see what exactly goes on in that mind of his." This was just about the only time she took pride in being the coroner.
She looked back at Katrina. She remembered their first high school party..then their first college party. Katrina refused to drink at either, while Yoko was attempting to smoke a joint and wet her whistle at the same time. Things did change over the years.

" Yeah I would have been the bitch to have murdered him. Fuck sakes. I can't believe I introduced that fucking sleeze ball to you both" this was the safest subject they could speak about. She momentarily left the table and returned to the kitchen and grabbed another two wine glasses.
Once seated at the table she poured wine into all three glasses and passed them to the other two girls and raised her glass.
" Cheers to the death of that lousy fuck toy!" she smugly said. And she meant it, god that guy was more limp then cooked spaghetti. Poor girls that ever had a piece of him. Sure he was handsome at the time but he wasn't like the Sex God he claimed to be.

"Ha ha? Murder?" Katrina laughed and leaned against the back of her chair, watching Natalia return with two more glasses. The woman poured wine for all three of them and passed them around. She laughed, and said, "Cheers!"
"I hate him so much. All the stuff he told me were lies and shit. The thing I hate about him most though...was his stupid, little smile.God that man...All the things I could have remembered...were of the stupid things he did." Instead of taking a sip of wine, she lowered the glass back to the table. "Considering the fact...that I'm really forgetful at times...I can't believe I remember him out of all the shit I can remember."
After seconds of silence, which seemed like hours to her, she stood up from the table and said, "May...May I use the restroom? I really need to go bad..." Katrina lied with a smile. She was the worst liar in the world and couldn't lie to save her own life. She was too uncomfortable and just couldn't stand it. She didn't want to be in the room with two woman she had sworn never to see again in her whole life. She didn't know how to act or what to even think, or feel. She wanted out.
She turned around and walked out of the room calmly, but her pace quickened as she neared the front door. "Goddammit." Katrina unlocked the door and closed it behind her, not even caring if it slammed. She walked to the curb and sat down. "I can't do this...Natalia and Yoko...Damn..." She rested her chin on her knees and wrapped her arms around her legs. "Who the hell am I kidding? I don't know how to fucking do this. I shouldn't have come in the first place...I fucked up so bad."
Katrina finally got up and dusted the dirt off her butt. She looked up at the house sadly and rested her hands on top of her head. "I'm going to leave...I just can't do this. Besides...I don't think this thing can be fixed...Damnit all." She turned and began to slowly walk to her car, forgetting about her project papers. The only thing on her mind, right now, was getting out and getting something to drink.

Yoko could only stare at Katrina as she left. She wasn't aware Natalia was sharing the same thoughts as all of them, so she tried to make a little joke. "I guess she think you have an outhouse? Haha..." Natalia didn't seem amused. Afterwards, Yoko sighed and put her fork down. "Perhaps, Natty...it would be best if I left as well. I find it great that at least we're all talking together...and even more so that you're trying to bring us together..." She scratched her head, thinking of a different format to put this in. "You know...it is like a date...you can't rush things. I don't mean anything against you or Katrina..but perhaps we're just moving a little fast. And if that happens, it'd just fall apart." Yoko tried to not to notice any expressions Natalia might have been making at the moment. "I feel really bad for walking out on you...but perhaps you'd allow me to stay long enough to help you clean up."

" No. I'll be fine" she said. After a few minutes she had ushered her honoured guest out of her home. Then slumped against the wall. God this would be one of the longest days in history. She sighed a couple of times and set to clear the table, the food, the drink, and pretty much everything. She smiled at the gift that Yoko had given her. Even after all these years she remembered her love of shoes. High heels no less. And they were faux snake skinned ones to boot. She detested animals being used for the right of fashion.
A few hours after the castrostrophic meal she had herself a bubble bath to calm her nerves. Then again drank another glass of wine. All in all she was surprised that the get together lasted that long at all. Natalia had assumed that their fears wouldn't be easy to conquer, in the end that was true but still they had over come them for a tiny moment in time. It was good to hear their voices. Especially in this large of a home.
She always thought that she should have rented a room out, or at least have gotten an animal to keep her company as she found out almost always she chose the wrong type of man.

Katrina made it home, empty-handed and feeling awful. "How was your day, babe?" She looked up and smiled. "Eh." She slowly walked passed him and sat down on the couch, curling into a ball. She grabbed the remote and turned on the TV to her favorite channel, the sports channel. Katrina had used to always watch soap operas, but she realized that it was always the same old crap every series. "...Shit...That's a bad tackle. If he did it any harder...he would have probably broke his neck, right hun?" Richard came over and watched the replay. "Shit's right..." He kissed her on the forehead and she walked turned off the TV. "I'll be working in the loft."
"Honey, it's time to go" Richard called to her and she didn't answer. She carefully placed a bandaid on her finger and closed the superglue she had been using. "Hold on...I need to call someone." Katrina stood up from her work chair and put her burning thumb in her mouth. "Damn glue gun..." Her freehand reached for her phone and she called Natalia's number. It rang for a while and finally her machine answered. "Hi, Natalia....It was rude of me for leaving. I'm sorry about that. I don't know what happened. But I forgot my project examples at your house and would like to come and get them. Sorry for the trouble. Bye."
"We have to go!" "Yeah! But do I have to meet your parents again...They hate me, Richard!"

Yoko arrived home later that night, but was still having second thoughts about going back. Flopping onto the sofa, she kicked her shoes off, and let her feet dangle over the end. Her gaze shifted over to the blank television. She seemed to be staring at it, as if she was watching something, but in reality, she was not really looking, but rather thinking. Wondering how she could apologize for her actions earlier today. But her train of thought was soon stopped, as she felt a cold sensation on the sole of her barefoot, and she jumped with a yelp. Looking over the side, she could see it was her cat. "Meowzers! You scared me!" She shouted to the animal, and it stared at her, acting like it understood. Yoko peered over at the food bowl by the pantry. "Oh...did I forget? Sorry." Entering the kitchen, she searched for the can opener, and having found it, opened the can of "Fancy Feast". Then she dumped the wet substance into the cat's food bowl. Not a moment after, the phone rang. Still thinking about the event earlier today, she hastily picked up the receiver. "Hello? Natalia?" She said, without thinking. "Natalia?" The male on the other end said. "No, it's Gil. Listen, I don't think your analysis was correct. I want you to come in and double-check." "Right now?" "Whenever you can. The mistake you made was something very easy to spot...either you need more sleep or something is bothering you...is something?" "No..." "Okay. Good evening, Yoko." The line clicked.
