"This mall has certainly seen better days...but should we really try transversing the entire building with what little armaments we have." Carmen began to muse outloud. Suddenly, the sound of the elvator going up startled her. "Must be Eugene..." But there was another sound; footsteps. She peeked around the seemingly empty warehouse, and pulled out her baton. They sounded like shuffles more than footsteps...which could only be one thing. "Get down..." She whispered to Natalie, and switched the baton to "on". Carmen started to maneuver around te boxes, trying to approach that sound. This was most unfortunate. The zombies had access to this room from somewhere. "Where are you..." she said to it, even though it could be clear on the otherside.

"We'll hold up here.. I can't go out there alone to get supplies. You guys will live." Alyssa said as she began to take her pick of the weapons.
The two had moved on until they thought they could hear people but could be just a zombie. "You see that barred shop up there?" Brad said aloud, pointing. Eddy nodded. "The guy is in there, lets go." They both continued while taking a few potshots at a few zombies. This whole spot was crawling with them but they were making their way out to leisure park and the other spots.
Natalie just nodded then found something to hide behind quietly. The gun raised and shaking in her grip.
(Filler, Nick you have have Carly and Brandon notice the others. There's too many zombies to notice you.)

The elevator finally came up and she entered it nervously. "How'd Chris use to do it? That man could punch down anything..." She said, remembering the time her husband got drunk in a bar. Chris had thought that his friend was flirting with her and he ended up beating up the guy. "He just punched them real hard, like this...right?" Lana asked herself punching the air as she waited for the elevator doors to close.
When the doors were almost closed, she heard the bark of her dog and slammed her fist against the open button. "C'mere boy!" She shouted, feeling more relieved. Alecs ran from the vents and sprinted to the elevator. When he got in, he licked her hand and she smiled. Lana was happy that he was coming with her. She had always felt safe with the dog and new that the dog was one of protection.
The elevator slowly decended and they got out when it stopped. Alecs was the first to get out and he already was growling. He would either bark or growl when he knew the dead were around, and it didn't annoy Lana. She took it for an alert and readied herself to run. "...Alecs...baby boy, I'm scared..."

Eugene walked up to the elevator and slapped the button. It hummed to life and began to move topside, as he hummed a few lines to Gangsta's Paradise. the doors slid open as he hit "You better watch how you talking, and where you walking" and he stepped in. Some screeching became apparent half way down. "they need a better service crew..." As the doors slid open he noticed that everyone was gone. "hello?" someone pulled him into a prone position. "listen." it was Carmen. "it's just shuffling... that could be anything. a survivor, even, maybe. Something blowing around..." Alecs barked. Staring straight ahead, he produced a 2 X 4 from the junk behind him. "I'll go check it out." He was never one for a firearm, for many reasons. First and foremost, he preferred hands-on work. Second, he was a fervent disciple of the Spray-and-pray method... needless to say, he was never assigned anything more than a semi-. "it's okay! there's nothing out here! If you're a survivor, please come over here! we know a-" An animated corpse threw itself at him, cutting him off mid-sentence. he was on his stomach with his arms pinned under him, helpless. "GOD DAMN IT DON'T JUST STAND THERE! GET THIS F****R OFF ME!"

The report of a handgun rang out, waking Brandon. "what was that?" Another obliged an answer, closer now. "damn it, have they learned to used guns?" a dart of fear shot down his spine, but he fought his instinct to look up. "Wait... they aren't zombies... CARLY! CARLY! WAKE UP... WE'RE SAVED!!!!" she stirred, but slumped back into a trance-like state. "HELP US! HELP US!!!!!!!!!!! WE'RE HERE!!!!!!" hopefully, they don't shoot me, he thought for a brief moment.

"Hang in there!" Carmen shouted to Eugene, as she jammed the shoking end of the shock baton into the undead's side. Although he was dead a while, it seemed the nerves were still functional, as the body began to buck and twitch, to the point where it fell off Eugene. Too solidify its second death, Carmen raised her left foot and gave it a solid kick in the head. It seemed the body was weaker than she thought, as she watched the severed head fly into a pile of boxes. "Stay down this time..." Offering a hand to Eugene, she help him up. "You know, Earl. You're the last person I'd expect to not be hiding a blade of somekind." She joked, referring to the stereo-type. Racial jokes were common between these two. "Well, come on. I've seen the directory enough to know where I am going...I hope."
She lead the small party out of the warehouse, so that they were now in the Paradise Plaza. Undead were a very common thing to see hear, but hopefully they could sneak past. "Keep heading North..."

Luckily the zombies were quite dumb, they didn't notice you unless you were close, despite the noise you were making. Suddenly Eddy hear someone's desperate yell. "Did you here that?" Eddy asked Brad after he had wasted another shot which caught a wall. Brad nodded. "Hello!?" He called out to see if anyone was there.
"Oh god..." Natalie murmered as she quickly shielded her eyes from the decapitated head. Just the sound of it was enough to turn her stomach. When she was thinking that was bad, she wasn't ready for what awaited her out in the mall. The dead lingering aimlessly passing a horrible stench around. "I-I think I'm going to be sick.." Natalie informed the other two while holding her stomach.

Alecs stopped his growling and barking for a moment but he still cautiously looked around, and seemed ready to attack. Seeing him like this frightened Lana, because she had never seen him act in such away. He was such a nice dog most of the time, and he had never been faced with the duty of a guard dog for them. "Alecs...The others are probably already gone...I s'ppose that we're going to have to find the way to the medical stuff, baby boy." She placed her hand on the dog's head, and walked beside him, holding the ring that hanged on a chain around her neck.
As she began to near the exit of the warehouse, she began to smell a horrible stench. "I now remember why I decided not to be a coroner..." She dug her hand into her pocket and pulled out a handkerchief and tied it around her nose and mouth. Lana then pulled out the scissors, that she had gotten earlier, and broke them in half. They would work much more better in stabbing, but actually doing the action was going to be tough. "It still is better than just using my fist..."
They moved out of the warehouse, quite some time after Carmen, Eugene, and Natalie. She was hoping to catch up with them, but obviously, for now she was on her own. What she saw truly amazed her. She saw hundreds of dead walking and just couldn't believe her eyes. She was afraid, but seeing this was extremely strange. "Why'd the devil have to pick this old town..." She said holding on broken scissor part in one hand and the other in another. Lana whistled and Alecs ran in front of her, while she looked for the drug store.

it a wonder the zombies didn't all home in on the little blue and white booth. "PLEASE! OVER HERE! YOU! WITH THE GUN! PLEASE!!!!!" another dart of fear found it's mark What if they came here to eradicate the evidence? what if they came here to shut people like us up? Still, he called. Even if this was the last thing he'll say, it was better than a slow death by getting eaten, right? Carly...

"last person you expected to see without a switchblade, huh? You know what, Top Ramen? You gonna make jokes like that, you gotta work for it. My kid's math homework is hard this year." Eugene and Carmen walked shoulder-to-shoulder. Eugene brandished a metal pipe, swung clumsily above his shoulder, like a batter at the plate. "We're going to Sean's, right? I've never been over to the North Plaza, this should be interesting." He pulled out his wrinkled little map and studied with one hand.

"He needs me to do his math homework, too? Guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree..." Carmen shot back, slowly advancing to the north. The zombies haven't caught whiff of them yet, but she wasn't complaining. There were alot of them, too. She could compare this to a regular day at the mall...there were more or less the same amount of "people" here...only difference was if they spotted you, you better hope you can run, and fast. "Damn it Seon..." she simply said aloud. "If you're gonna open a store here, atleast put it near an entrance..."
The came across a path in the North plaza that split into two, and Carmen forgot at this point with went in the direction of Seon's. Well, both paths would take them to it, but one was faster, and time was very precious right now. She tapped the wall with her index finger three times, then paused...before tapping once more. "I believe taking the path on the right would be faster...do you guys have any idea?"

"Hm?" Both Brad and Eddy murmered in unison as they turned to the yelling again. This time they knew where it was coming from. Both Eddy and Brad scrambled through the undead using objects to knock them down until they got to the booth. "Hello?" Eddy called again as Brad flung open the door. Brad quickly knelt by the woman as Eddy talked to the guy. "Are you ok?" He asked but before the other man could answer Brad cut in. "Is she ok?" He asked, inspecting her wounds. They both looked quite tired. Eddy feared they would have to carry the both of them. They also had that old man to get.
Getting past her sense of nausia, Natalie quickly halted the other two. "Wait. Instead of going through the mall with the zombies, lets take a short cut through the park... It should lead us north." She explained then quickly began running, pushing past one of the undead as it fell clumsily to the floor. She then went through the glass door out into leisure park. There were undead out here but they were spread thin and much easier to get past than the mall. The undead were the least of their worries as three crosses quickly stalked them from the second story window from an unknown part of the mall.

"Un, deux, trois..." She had just jabbed the scissor half into the third zombie's eye. She had placed her 'weapon' in between her index and middle finger and curled her hand into a fist. She kept the fist tight and made sure not to let go of the scissor half, but it was easier for her to just punch and pull back. The other scissor half she had only slashed the undead and the hand holding this half was only used to push away, for she couldn't kill every one she encountered. Alecs, who had been watching her the whole time, occasionally leaped up and downed a zombie that would occasionally lunge at her from behind. She never checked, but she bet the dog was eating some of the raw flesh from the twitching zombie he had just forced down.. After all, he was hungry.
Lana had stopped a few times at some stores and finally picked up a backpack she had found. She was going to fill it up with potential weapons, medical supplies, and maybe some food, and a coloring book or two. It had only been a few minutes since she had gotten out and down into the mall, but she was already covered in blood. Her hands felt sticky and some of the blood had crusted over her hands and arms. But that wasn't what was bothering her. The smell was strong and she hated it.
"Alecs...We have to hurry, baby boy..."
((Long Filler. yeah.))

They could see the glass doors that entered into the North plaza by now. The zombies didn't seem to notice their presence, as they didn't stray from their aimless shuffling. "Think if one eats you, you become one?" Carmen made a little joke, trying brighten up the mood. There was a small group of zombies just standing by those glass doors. However, they weren't facing them, so perhaps they could get the jump on these guys.
Approaching was slow, as Eugene and Carmen readied their close proximity weapons. They hoped Natalie was getting that gun ready, as Carmen powered up the shock baton, and jammed it into back of the neck of one of the zombies. It began to twitch, as the other four or so faced around and began their slow approach. Eugene introduced one of their heads to the heavy iron pipe he was wielding when finally, the one Carmen was working with finally fell to the ground, twitching involuntarily. "Come on!" They urged Natalie, as they ran for the glass doors.

"You are what you eat?" Natalie let out a fake chuckle. "I guess so..." She replied then came the confrontation with the few zombies. Natalie decided to sit back and let the finish them off. Natalie wasn't a fighter, these two people were trained for it.
"I can hit any one of them from here." Gloated the second oldest of the three. "It's too easy from here..." The second, which was a full grown man. The third, being barely an adult hesitated, rifle at rest. "Daddy, they aren't zombies.." He said his wide eyes staring into the preoccupied pair of the other two. "It's a matter of survival Thomas." The middle aged of the three commented as the oldest nodded. "Listen to your brother, Thomas. I'll let you choose Jack, which one?" Jack made a smirk as his crosshair pulled over the female officer. "I'll take the asian." The father of the two chuckled. "I'll take the other officer... Thomas.. You have the easy one.... Think you can handle it...?" After a little bit of protest Thomas was pressured in aiming at Natalie... As the other two aimed Thomas panicked and fired, the bullet missing totall but aiming close enough to tell the three survivors that they were the targets...
Natalie gasped and fell to the ground in shock when she noticed how close the bullet was to her. She was stunned and wasn't sure what to make of this.

"Shit! Get down!" Eugene shouted, pulling Carmen into a prone position. The door wasn't too far away, but they weren't sure if they wanted to risk getting hit. Their assumption was it was only one sniper, and most rifles were bolt action, so he'd still be reloading right now. It was settled that they would try running it. "Alright, go!" They made a break for the door, their heads still down. Their assumptions were proven wrong however, as another shot was fired. Carmen could feel the heat above her head. Had she not been crouching, she'd have been dead. "Shit! Go go!" Eugene urged them from behind, before he made a loud grunt. He'd been hit, but his vest had taken the bullet. "Ungh...hollow point, huh?" Though the vest stopped the bullet from connecting to the body in anyway, it felt like he had been punched in the side. That rifle was no pea-shooter. Eugene opened the glass door, and pushed the too ladies in, before heading in himself and taking cover behind the wall. "Jesus...did they think we were zombies, too?"

Natalie was still stunned but she followed them quickly. She'd rather face zombies than a sniper, at least zombies are a bit more livable than a bullet. Eugene had been shot she obsessively kept looking over the spot where he had been his, frantically trying to catch the sight of blood. Natalie had been a receptionist, but she was always a caring person despite that. She wanted to ask him if he was alright but no words would exit.
"They're in North Plaza!" Jack gasped and was about to start a run to get there but his father quickly held out his hand to stop him. "Let them go.. for now.." He then eyed Thomas. "Thomas, you should be ashamed of yourself for missing that shot... I knew you couldn't handle something so easy.. Next time... You better hit her." With that, the snipers retired from the survivors to take potshots at zombies.
