"Shit!" The force or the bullet reverberated through Eugene's torso. "Growin' up where I did, you'd think I'd be used to this crap!" No one seemed to pay attention to his desperate plea for a smile. There was no doubt he'd be feeling that in the morning. "That the North Plaza?" He let the fact that no one was changing direction answer his question. Pulling open the door, he shoved all three of them in, landing on top of Natalie, but deftly rolled off. "Heh... sorry..." He pointed to Carmen in a joking "She wanted that to happen to her" manner, before brushing himself off. "This is definitely gonna be a long night..." he said as he rubbed his near-bullet wound.

"Oh thank God!" Brandon grasped for air in an attempt to stand, but decided that he'd better sit. "Hello? Are you okay? Is she okay?" "I'm fine, I don't know... I don't care any more..." Brandon sobbed. "Carly," he motioned to the woman, "has... been like this since... I guess this morning... She got attacked by I- I don't know how many... I treated the major ones with Bactine... sometimes i can get her to wake up... but it doesn't help..." He looked to the near-coma might-be-a-survivor pleadingly. "We got a way out... we can do this!" She moved her head. "I might be able to carry her a little..." he shook his head.

"It's not at entrance plaza." She muttered and then ran towards the direction of Al Fresca. Dodging and killing the zombies was hard work and she was getting tired. She didn't remember where the drug store was, or where all the stores were, but she noted on places that could supply her with possible weapons. She continued to jog with Alecs behind her. Lana then made a short stop at McHandy's Hardware and traded her broken scissors for a long, heavy wrench, and a garbage poker. "...I remember highschool detention...Get a poker and poke the paper and pick it up... I wonder if it'll work well with dead people....Haha! Probably..."
She swung the wrench and smiled. "C'mon let's go and see if there is anything else worth using... Maybe I'll find the others...I hope they didn't already get back...besides, I'm here to find supplies and stuff.."

Carmen rolled her eyes, and gave him a little kick in the back. "Eugene, sometimes I wonder..." How she managed to keep this attitude, even after a bullet flew roughly a centimeter over her head, was beyond her, but she did. She looked over at the right; Crislip's Hardware store. Perhaps they could find some suitable weapons in there...but for now, food and medicine was their main concern. She turned to the right. Lots of scaffolding, wood, and construction supplies. This wing must have just been added. Other than the hardware store and the grocery store, it was empty. Atleast a directory had been put in though. "Seon's...is to the left..." She simply stated. (fillerage!)

Eddy bent down to the girl then looked up at the other man. "I'll carry her. You worry about keeping up. We need to check on someone though first." He said as he slowly brought the girl up onto his back as if she were a backpack, but this made it easy so that he could run and keep a firm hold on her. Brad nodded and both started out into the crowd, Brad doing his best to clear a path through them so that Eddy and the other man could get through without incident, before long they were climbing the stairs, a few zombies trying to follow only to trip and fall back into the crowd.
Natalie was appalled when he "fell" on her. "Urrgh.." She said as she picked herself up. 'He did that on purpose!' She accused mentally. 'Here I was worrying about him!' she continued to complain to herself, her cheeks turning red with annoyance. She decided not to argue with him and decided to keep her anger on the inside, but she wasn't aware that the anger was showing in her face, she hated that.

"Natalie!" The now hated Eugene prodded, "You look like your blushing a little! Everything alright?" Fully aware of the impending slap, he forged ahead. "I can check the gun shop and the hardware store for some suitable weapons if you two want me to. It is just shopping after all, there shouldn't be too much of an issue." He looked back at where the bullets came from. "What the hell is happening to people?"

Brandon looked down through the shutters and sighed. "That crazy old guy's been ranting since we got here, at least. I'm almost gonna miss him, though, he reminds me of Dad." He remembered that they were all on the clock, and sped up. "Where are we going, anyways? Just who are you?" He took a second to laugh his first laugh in days as another zombie attempted to ascend the stairs, only to fall backward bowl over eight or nine.
(STOP! It's filler time! duh dun-dun duh)

"I'm Eddy.. He's Brad." Eddy quickly introduced. He was straining just a tad to keep the girl on his back, it was as easy as he'd seen in movies. "We have a safe haven in the security office." Brad explained. "We'll take you both there... After we talk to the old man." He then continued with Eddy following behind. "Dr." Brad asked and the angry old man quickly banged on the cage. After exchanging a few words the old man refused to leave. Brad and Eddy had to turn back now. "We'll try to get him back later... Let's head back. There's not much we could do, the zombies wont be able to get to him." He said then looked as the zombies began learning to climb up the stairs. "We better hurry."
"You do that.. We need weapons." Natalie said in response to Eugene. She wanted him to go anyways, she knew he wouldn't die, something told her that he wouldn't. They needed weapons anyways. Natalie turned to Carmen. "We could get medical and food supplies." She suggested quickly.

"Do it the way the Spartans did it...shove a pointy stick at..." She pulled out her garbage poker and almost gagged. "things....Even if I managed to cook all the crap on this stick...It'll still look and taste shitty...Yuck..." She scraped the rotting meat off the poker and continued to jog. Lana passed the food court quickly, with no hesitations, knowing that the shop she looked for wouldn't be found there.Lana was quite surprised by herself. She had never anticipated getting this far, this quickly.
Lana stopped at a set of stairs for a second, and decided to climb up onto the second floor. She guessed that there wouldn't be as much of the dead on the second floor, and hoped that she was right. When she got to the top, she saw a few large groups around, but they were spread a part. It would be hard to get through them. "Alecs...what are we gunna do, baby boy?" She asked the dog, who was running around her feet as blood covered as she was.
"I'm going to pick this up later..." She dropped the monkey wrench and picked up the garbage poker and held it like a spear. Her hand went back far and she threw it over her head as hard as she could. She had intended on hitting at least one of them on the head, but her aiming was off...extremely off. She had hit one of them and she knew that, but it was certainly not the place she had intended the poker to hit. The zombie wasn't dead, and it was even worst now. The red handled garbage poker swayed from side to side as it walked more awkwardly. Lana covered her eyes and shook her head. What had she done?
"Baby boy...I don't know what makes me sick more...Seeing the dead walk or my bad aiming..." She kept her eyes closed for a few more seconds and when she opened them, Alecs was charging toward the undead group in front of her. "Alecs! Bad Dog! Let Go!" She shouted, chasing after him with her monkey wrench.

"Whatever, Earl. Why don't you check out the gun store first." Carmen said in a spiteful tone. "Come on, Natalie. We don't need some man watching over us." She lead them through the corridor of scaffolding and construction equipment, until they came across a forked path. "Which way again..." She said to herself, then quickly remembered they both lead to the same area. Perhaps the choice here was the safer path. Carmen looked over on the path to the left. There were zombies there, just one group though. The other side might offer a better choice, as she peeked over that way. She couldn't see any zombies, and she could also see the sign to the store. "Come on..." She whispered to Natalie, pulling her by the wrist.
Sneaking past the group of zombies, the entered the store. It seemed empty. No moaning zombies or people...or so they thought. "Okay...let's get to gathering." After Carmen had taken one of the shopping basket's, she began searching the aisles for food. Seemed this place had already been ransacked, hardly any food remained, but she did come across an aisle that seem untouched. She quickly began gathering, when she thought she heard the squeaking of cartwheels behind her. "Natalie?" No answer. She decided to shake it off, and began to gathering again. When she heard a second time, she spun around quickly. An elderly man was standing there now, with a cart. He looked like he worked here...and also looked very angry. "I'm tired of you kids vandalizing my store!!!" He shouted to her. "First you come in here and take all my food...taking everything but one aisle. Then you come back for it! Well I say no more! I'll kill you! I'll kill all of you!"
"N-no! Wait sir! You don't understand!" She tried to protest, but he was already starting his charge. Carmen managed to avoid him the first time. "Listen. I don't want to fight you." She told him, although she knew he wouldn't listen, so she looked around for something she could use at range. -Shit...nothing...-

Natalie followed obediently behind Carmen, she seemed to be the best person to follow in such situations. Not one confrontation. Natalie was quite confident at this point until she saw the slim selection of items. When the squeeking was heard and Carmen called her name she only shook her head as she turned. Suddenly it happened again and she nearly screamed when she saw the man. He was obviously crazy, when he charged Carmen got out of the way and Natalie barely but one of the sharp items attatched to the cart had given her a nice cut on the arm. "Ugh.." She said examining the scratch. "Carmen!" She called pointing at a certain spot under the cart, it was a shotgun, in easy reach. Would he use it against them? He didn't seem intent on it yet. Natalie was scared, she didn't know what to do, she didn't want to shoot a human. Her hands were shaking violently.

Carmen quickly realized her dodge was complete luck, as she saw how the old man set up his weapon. He was smarter than he looked. These narrow aisles provided very little moving room, and with that cart covering just about the entire length of it, another evade was not likely. Natalie then pointed out the shotgun. Seems he would be able to cover range as well. Right now, the top priority was getting out of this restricting aisle. Carmen quickly brandished her shock baton, turning it on of course, and jammed it against the back of Steven's knee. A loud swear was erected, and he'd be stunned for a couple moments. "Come on! Up on the shelves and over!" She quickly ordered Natalie. She turned to the nearest one, and reached for the very top of it. Then, with much grunting and effort, pulled herself over. Remembering she'd given Natalie her Beretta, she swore. She'd need to ask to borrow it when they were both on the other side.

Natalie was going to attempt the climb but she noticed the isle wouldn't be stable enough for two people, it would fall. Natalie began a run in the opposite direction of the psycho. Suddenly she heard a cock and looked back and noticed just in time him raising his shotgun at her. In a reaction of instinct Natalie dove to her right near the isle Carmen was going over into. The keeper shot but Natalie was out of the way, the bbs had stormed into a few milk cartons across from them as the contents began leaking on the blue and white linolium. 'I.. I don't think I could shoot him!' Natalie obsessed mentally. She was still on her stomach on the floor but the sound of the cart made her jump back up. When she saw Carmen Natalie shouted her name and slid the handgun to the officer. Surely she'd be able to make use of it. "THIS IS MY STOOOREEE!!!" The man's scream could be heard from the other isle as he was quickly wheeling his way out and around to the isle the ladies fled to.

Lana had just whacked her way through a group of the undead with her monkey wrench, and was now wondering if she was going to take the good ole high school detention activity stick. She looked at the fallen, and finally dead, zombie lying on its side. "My aiming...is disgusting." She kicked it over, so that it's whole body faced her and she closed her eyes. Her hand slipped over the metal pole part of the garbage poker, and she pulled the spear-like tool out of the body. "This is never going to be told to anyone..." She mumbled and continued to walk. After what she had just done, she made a mental note, telling her that she would never throw the garbage poker like a spear again.
"Alecs...let's go...we'll get through the top easier...there are no more of those maneaters..." She started to jog again to the other side of the second floor of wonderland plaza. Getting through there wasn't hard, but with each step she took, she heard a moan or a groan and it frightened her. If she were measuring how many of them were in the mall with the sound of their moans and groans, she would say beyond a lot.
When she got to the stairs on the other side, she sighed. The undead were climbing up the stairs and right now, she didn't want to deal with them. Lana looked up to the sky and whispered something, before she jumped onto the side railing and slid down, with Alecs chasing after her. She had slid down the railing fast, and was stupid enough to close her eyes. Closing her eyes was a bad idea and had only scared her even more. Lana hopped off and looked to the top of the stairs with wide eyes. When she was little, she had always dreamed of doing this. What was so special about it?
Lana continued on her way, and jogged passed zombies and tried not to engage in more combat. It was only tiring her out and she still needed to get some food and medical supplies. She was sure that the only thing keeping her awake right now was being surrounded by things that could kill her easily. If it weren't for the zombies, she would have fallen asleep on the spot that she stood on.

Carmen was thankful having been given little time to think. She saw how he liked to cover the length of the aisle with his weapons, what with the cart and the shotgun. Perhaps the best way to deal with him was close up and behind him. Carmen would be best to fight him there...but that would put Natalie in the bait position, and if something went wrong, then she wouldn't be able to live with herself if something bad had happened to Natalie. Her short amount of time to think was soon over, as Steven rolled in, opposite side of the aisle Natalie came through. Carmen did the only thing she could do; pointed the gun at him.
Steven only glared, before rambling on again. "You call that a gun?! Looks like I need to show you...what a real gun...IS!!!!" His movements were lightning, for it seemed he pulled the shotgun out from nowhere. Her eyes went wide at this, as she just pulled her trigger, hoping it was she who fired first. A flicker of hope came when she heard him shout in pain. The bullet made contact, shoulder blade. "OWWWWW!!!! YOU BITCH!!!!!" By the look of it, he didn't even flinch. His adrenaline level must have been very high, or else he'd be clutching his shoulder right now. She only hoped Natalie had an idea to get out of this, as she heard the shotgun cock.
Inside, Carmen was tearing up. -He's only trying to protect his store...I-I'm not sure I can go through killing this man...- It was true that Carmen had killed humans before, but most of them were sentenced to death anyway, or were actively trying to harm or kill someone else for no apparent reason. This man was just scared for his business. These two just arrived here at a bad time.

When Natalie saw him pull around the corner she decided to grab the closest things to get her hands on. Both on the floor were a potato and a box of Cocoa Puffs. She picked them both up then saw him about to shoot. Not thinking she hurled the potato it flew past Carmen and smashed into his cart. Not what she was hoping but he got distracted and decided to look down to see what it was, buying precious time. Just then Natalie didn't want to take any chances so she hurled the box of cereal but it fell a bit short hitting Carmen instead as the brown balls began to scatter all over the hard floor. "Oops!" She called then quickly decided to move out of range of the shotgun, not like she could do any heroics anyways, She just hoped that the cereal didn't phaze Carmen so she could get away fast enough.

Carmen grunted at the box made contact with her head. Usually, she'd laugh at something like that, but giving the situation, she completely disregarded it, wasn't even mad at Natalie, knowing that it was an accident. Exploiting on this distraction she began to move out of his gun range. It didn't work reverse for him though, he'd still be in hers. She had the perfect opportunity for a headshot, and raise the handgun to fire. But her finger refused to pull the trigger all the way. "I...I can't...I can't do it!" She shouted, her conscience taking brief control. Steven could be heard snickering. "You can't...but I can!" He quickly and without hesitation, pulled the trigger on his gun. Luckily Carmen moved back when she did. Most of pellet hit the shelves, and although some did hit her, they were in the vest, and not strong enough to penetrate, but enough to knock her down. Carmen groaned and looked to Natalie. "We need a different strategy. He's playing this field to well..."
