" Hmm" he replied rather nonchalantely. " Were far out of the Imperial Empires grasp. Were to remote to bother with so they halted their land just before the forest were by before" he said. " You'll see no not a small emblem of their sigil here. Just some carving of old runes and stuff from texts" he said looking back at her. He smiled a little and continued on. They entered the village and he headed towards the church.

She calmed herself when she saw his half smile and continued to follow him into the town. Her eyes wandered from house to house. Some people were actually outside, she couldn't even comprehend as to why they would go out when it's so cold. She shook her head. Another thing seemed to catch her interest, the town was quiet, much more than the trade towns she'd been to. She like this one, doesn't seem much room for crime here. She refrained from speaking to Lynn again, though she had so many questions for him and wanted so badly to tell of hers and Roger's plans.

Lynn opened the grand doors of the church, no other building in the village was quite as grand. It was certainly the newest of the bunch. " Priestess Soleil I found some travellers, they need a place to rest and me to. My father..." he drifted out there. She just merely nodded and looked at the girl behind Lynn. " Come in girl non of us bite here except Lynn's father, Jack. And please close the doors so the cold doesn't come in" she spoke softly. The woman wore white robes, the sleeves flowing the actually middle og the garment more form fitting. She stood about 5'10 and weighed no more then a hundred and fifty pounds. Blonds wavy locks came out of her hood, her flawless white skin smooth. " We have rooms here that you can rest in as long as you need to. All three of you" she said as she looked at the bundle pup, Mai and Lynn.

Mai walked and her face lightened up, it was so nice and warm. She folded her hands happily. "Thank you so very much ma'am." She said with much grace. She pulled down her hood, letting her very long hair fall to her back then unzipped her jacket and held Roger in her arms. The hare was still unconcious. 'That wine must have been extremely strong.' She thought, giving a short glance at Lynn. From the length of their hair it would seem as if they never got their hair cut. In fact Roger hated it for his fighting was close encounter and the hair would usually get in the way, but he did for Mai who wanted to look more female when she had the body. It was odd but anyone who looked at Mai or Roger when they were human knew that they were different.

The priestess looked at the hare and said " Are both of you under an enchantment or a unique spell to swap your bodies?" she asked. Lynn looked at her oddly. He was always amazed at her skill of awarement. Every stranger passed her so the other villagers could be at ease. Soleil led them, guided them. " Such an anomaly" she murmured.

"Not a spell nor enchantment. This is how we are born... I guess you can say." She said then thought about what she was going to say and if it would be too much on the woman. "I guess you can say we're not exactly... Human." She said and stroked her finger on Roger's head. 'I just hope the effects of the wine will wear off.' She thought and followed the woman with ease since this was a house of god and no one would do anything to harm another in such a holy place.

" So your from 'there'. I'm sorry about your village" she consoled Mai. But the way she said 'there' it was... almost saddening. " If you and what I can assume is your brother need to refresh we have a private access to hot springs that are covered in this holy sanctum" she explained. " Lynn can show you the way" she turned her gaze to Lynn now. " Next time you give an outsider Firewine makes sure its not our brew, even in the Imperial Empire what they think is firewine is simply lacking our special ingredient" with that she walked to a marble statue of a woman kneeling and craddling a child in her arm. The statues face was full of grief and fear. ' I wonder why the Goddess looks like that... Maybe she's lost someone important to her as well..' he thought as an image of his own mother came to mind.

Mai went silent when the priestess talked about her village. Her head dropped to the floor as the long hair hid her face. She then took a deep breath as she picked her head back up. "Thank you for helping us Lynn..." She said, glad that they weren't attacked instead of helped. "She took the thick coat off and put it on the floor and laid Roger on it. Under the coat was a simple black shirt. Having only one jacket in this temperature was an extremely bad idea, unfortunately they had to learn the hard way. "Um... Is there a man named Seculous live in this town? We were told he was a sage, and with his help we would be able to find a safe place for a new town... and we could live without fear of the empire.." She said and sat down on the floor. She didn't care about the hot springs at the mement, all she wanted was rest.

" Of course he's one of the village elders and my grandfather but I never heard anyone calling him a sage" he said almost questionly " You can meet him in the morning though. You and your brother need rest though. Although I speculate he'll be up a little earlier with a splitting headache" he smiled and walked to another conjoint room layed out with beds. He slowly took off his excess winter gear standing there in a large white-grey shirt and shorts. Slipping into a bed and drifting off to sleep.

Mai picked Roger back up and layed at the foot of the bed then she herself went in and fell straight to sleep. In the middle of the night, however, she wakened startled. She noticed some tears that seemed to stray from her eyes and quickly wiped them off. She looked at Roger who was still out and smiled. She decided to take a quick walk, not expecting the cold to be supurbly bad. She put back on her jacket and her boots then left the chapel. The cold was so furious. She climbed a bit up an icy hill. The whole town seemed to be asleep so she took off one of her gloves then made hand signs. When she was done she put her hand under her, her palm not far from the ground. She then took her left arm and pressed it tightly against her right arm. Suddenly a fire ball turned up and already she felt the warmth. She then flung it as fell out of sight. She continued to do that for practice.
(If Lynn wakes up then post, if not tell me in the C box and I'll change it around so that she goes back to bed.)

Slowly coming out of his sleep. Lynn yawn and stretched his arms. Sunlight flittering in the room. Lynn's light, golden brown skin hugged all the sunlight for what it was worth. " I hope Jack isn't awake yet" he muttered. Walking to the hot springs he took off his clothing and placed them neatly beside the burning rocks circling the springs. Sliding into the burning waters. Groaning out in bliss as his body sat the the bottom. " Praise be to the Goddess" she murmured.

Not long after Mai had went back to sleep the sunlight had woken up again and she felt miserably tired after staying up all night. She looked to the foot of the bed and Roger was gone. She shook her head and rubbed her baggy eyes and got up to look for Lynn but she didn't find him in the room so she decided to lay down and try to get more sleep, but it wasn't coming along so well.
Roger had seen Lynn throught he corridors and followed him into the hot springs. The small mouse seemed to stop by the edge of the water. "I heard you talking to my sister last night. When can we see your grandfather." He said almost demandingly. It was obvious that the boy had a bad headache from the wine, and he wasn't too happy he got the wine in the first place so of course he was going to show an attitude.

Almost jumping out of his own skin. Lynn almost yelled out but luckily he caught himself. " After their meeting most likely. He goes out picking berries about noon. " I'm sorry I didn't tell you it contained alcohol but you didn't give me much of a chance when you pretty much empted the entire flask. You could join me in the springs. It helps most people when they get that splitting headache after drinking too much firewine" he told the tiny rodent.

"I would if I wanted to drown and roast." He said turned into a cat as he lie lazily on a warm rock and relaxed. "Your grand father isn't like your father right?" He asked, making sure it was safe to meet this man. "Any may I ask why your father wanted you out of town? And did he do something to your mother?" He asked plainly. He didn't stop to think of Lynn's feelings and usually Mai would have to stop him but she wasn't with them.

" No my grandfather is really nice. He's my mother father.... and my 'father'" he gritted out the last word. " Blames me about my mother death, he said I grabbed the wrong herb" a lonely tear began to slide down his cheek. " I'm beginning to think that as well" he said in a low and sad voice.
