"Even if it was your fault groaning and hurting yourself about it wont bring your mother back." He said half coldly. "Besides, me and Mai could just as easily stood and fought with what little strength we had just as some of the other youngsters were doing and perhaps could've won instead of flee for our lives." He said, without caring and didnt seem even close to as saddened as Mai was when she talked about her home. "Besides, me and Mai are doing are duty to find a new spot probably suffering more than our parents so why should I regret it? Here you are fighting for a life you can obtain if you'd try instead of hide excessively from you wanna-be father. Hell, you could even find your real father, after all, he must be better than the way you describe your father. But nope, you seem to want to hide all your feelings in the past." Roger was just rambling on obsessively, he hardly knew what he himself was speaking of.

" Its simply amazing anyone even your own sister can stand your insensitive behaviour" He muttered under a sigh. " I don't expect an outsider to understand anyways. I'm not hiding from my past. What about you? You keep running away from the Imperialists. Isn't that the exact same thing?" he countered the rambling Roger. Before picking up a towel to cover himself.

"I'll get my revenge." He said, his voice going into a bit of anger. "I'll kill each and every one of them.." He said as he opened his eyes. "And am I really insensitive? Hmph.. Sensitivity is for the weak who try and find a lighter side to the world, but nothing is light about it." For being one joined with his sister he seems to be quite an opposite. He then went to thinking of his sister and sighed miserably. "I'm..... Sorry..." He said, trying to choke the words out of his mouth. "Thanks for helping us, but we really need to see your grandfather. I dont want stay much longer here." He said and stood up then began to walk out.
Mai decided to stop trying to sleep and got up and rubbed her tired eyes once more before walking out of the room. She leaned against the wall and waited. Lynn was bound to pass by. She was so bored, there was nothing for her to do but sit and wait for Lynn. She wanted to practice some more but she didn't want to make herself noticed as a mage or she'd be a center of attention for gossip and gossip goes everywhere, even to the empire.

Shaking his head, he merely sighed out. Lynn got out of the hot springs and dried himself off. Then put on his clothes again, he shivered a bit thanks to the large opening on the back of his shirt. Folding up the towel he neatly placed it outside of the door for it to cleaned again. He walked back to see Mai waiting. " Just let me get my suit on then we'll see if he's available" Lynn spoke up.

Mai smiled and nodded. She then caught sight of Roger. "Roger, are you ok-" She stopped speaking for she had felt pain inside her. Not physical but emotional. Roger walked past, hiding emotion as he went into the room and hopped up on the bed. Mai was silent with her mouth open. She had not felt this kind of pain being emitted from him than the time after they saw their parents killed. 'What were they talking about?' She thought and felt a small headache too, probably from Roger's hang over or her lack of sleep.

He entered the room and quickly put on the suit. Then exited it just as fast. " We should get going" he said. Looking at her with a blank stare, he didn't know what to say or do at the moment. Everything was kinda of natural to do this. He walked out of the church waiting for the siblings to come and catch up to him.

Mai nodded then turned to Roger. "Are you coming?" She asked and he didn't move or answer. She sighed and left him relaxing on the bed. When she saw Lynn she decided to speak up. "Did you two talk? Did he say anything?" She asked. 'Whatever it was it really upset him..' She thought, still feeling the pain but continiously pushing it out of her mind.

Lynn just look at his boots when she asked him. " We talked... and he said alot of stuff which I hear alot" that was his only relpy before turning around and headed to a medium sized building. First knocking on the door, to have an elderly woman opening it. She ushered him in and waited on Mai.

Mai shook here head in silence and tried to force the sadness out of her so that she wouldn't make a bad impression. She slowly entered and felt a bit of fear in her. 'Would this man know where to go? Would he help? And if he was in fact a sage would he sell them out for the reward?' Those thoughts almost made her think otherwise of meeting but they did not come so far only to go back so she continued on.

The elderly woman closed the door. And ventured on the the bright corridor she sat down behind a lond rectangular table. In the middle of the table stood up what seemed like the council leader. Lynn stood over to the side of the room and looked down. Now it was his grandfather who could maybe help them.
( Kelly you can play grandpa okay. )

When she saw the large room and table she almost felt like fainting but came to her senses and spoke up. "L-lord Seculous. I am Mai from Miet Village. You may know by now that it was destroyed many years ago and our people take shelter in hiding in caves and other dark and beast infested places." She began, "I have heard a great deal of your knowledge and me and my brother have set out to seek your guidance. My people, our species are dying out. Soon we will become extinct and I ask you; no.. I beg you to help us find a place out of the empire's reach where we could live in peace." She said, folding her hands nervously.
The man scratched his chin, half rubbing his beard. "I had heard a great deal of Miet and it's people, I also heard that siblings could not go within five yards of each other or they may die. And the size of this room alone is more than five yards so I ask, where is your brother? And how do I know you speak truth?" The old man asked. It was true but through much pain and practice these two were able to go quite far from each other without much problems, besides anxiety.
"We have undergone much practice. But please, an entire species rests in your decision." She was half in tears, she couldn't handle the powerful man's glance and distrust, she had hoped that Roger wasn't so emotional at this point.
The man sighed again. "Fine... But first you must help me." He said and smiled a bit. "There's a couple dragons that continue to cause trouble, they're ice dragons and are a very big nuisance. If you can be rid of them, I will see what I can do." He said and she sighed deeply.
"It appears I have no choice..." She said and thanked him before leaving. When she was outside tears began to run down her face, how could she ever hope to kill a couple dragons, even one would be more than enough.

Lynn looked at his grandfather when he said what he wanted in return. " Grandfather isn't that a little difficult? How are they suppose to survive in a place they hardly know?" he asked quietly. Whatever the council said was simply law. There was no place for disobedience. He looked at him awaiting his answer. He knew his grandfather would end up saying 'my boy' or 'son' to reply to him then say something expecting him to eventually figure it out on his own.

"I hate working this shift..." A low growl came from an olive skinned man standing guard within the village of ice. He had the face of a leader; the serious stare through brown eyes, the deep command voice of a jungle native, and upper lip facial hair. By first glance, it was obvious he was a soldier, being adorned in heavy steel plates and chains. Many places on the armor was some kind of spike, even his barbute was line with little spines, and two horns jutted outward forward, to resemble elephant tusks. A double-headed axe was strapped to his belt, which he could wield with a single hand. He called it a "righteous scythe". He was a chaplain of sorts, a religious fighter, even though doing this task for money. Strapped to his right arm was a large rectangular shield, which bore an emblem of his distant kingdom. He, as well as another guard were paid a nice sum to protect this village. The man faced this other guard, a woman who stood beside him.
She equipped more or less the same way, save a few things. One of these being she had no head gear, and another being her armor was nowhere near as "spikey". She seemed to be of eastern origin; brown eyes peering out through slants, skin tinted a slightly yellow color, and black hair tied back into a loop, held in place by a shell looking object. A scimitar was sheathed at one end of her belt. It did not look fit for close quarter fighting, which was true, she was no fighter. Attached to the other side was an off-hand object that looked much like an oriental fan. This didn't look like a weapon at all, but it was necessary for what she did best; summoning rituals. However, she was only limited to bringing forth animated soldiers and golems of stone.
"Zenmai!" The olive skinned man addressed his partner, and good friend, by her name. "I swear...if something doesn't attack now, I'm going to die of boredom." The woman, Zenmai, began laughing. "Well, that makes two of us, Toris." (Well, here is the intro. Edit it as you will.)

"My boy, there comes a time where a person must open there eyes and face their dangers rather than expect others to face it for them." He said and said nothing else. "Now I must speak with the other elders. Do make yourself useful and accompany our guests on their mission, it would be a good learning experience for you as well, son." He said and went into conversations with another elderly fellow sitting by the table.
Outside Mai was still crying, trying to bring herself the courage to tell Roger who was already in a bad mood. "Have I really come out here only to die from a dragon?" She asked herself. The cold had no effect on her while she was crying, her mind was completly concentrating on other things and the cold stood no importance compared to the others.

He nodded and slowly made his way outside to see Mai crying. He didn't know what to do... non of them did. " Mai is it alright if I come to?" his voice slowly turn softer until nothing. " Mai I'm sorry about the task that is ahead of you. It's not fair but.... my grandfather said there comes a time where a person must open there eyes and face their dangers rather than expect others to face it for them. Maybe it's time for you and Roger to face fate" he whispered. The golden skinned boy stood there looking at her backside just waiting for her to answer.
